We moved from the Bay Area to Stockton 10 yrs ago. Could never find good Chinese food. And we tried a ton of different places. Moved to Manteca a couple of years ago and resumed our search. Tried this place today. Found it!!! Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh and yummy! Nice portions, I was mad when I got full so quickly-lol! Had plenty to take home. Very nice and attentive waitresses. Excellent service with a smile. Welcoming atmosphere. We went around five o clock, and as others mentioned, parking is tight. We were very lucky that someone was pulling out as we pulled in because the lot was full. Within 15 or 20 mins, the tables began to fill up, and I could see that the counter was busy with call-in and take-out orders. We ordered house fried rice-yummy; Mongolian Beef-delicious; sweet, and sour chicken-just the right amount of sweet and crispy; sautéed vegetables-so flavorful and crispy noodles and seafood-oo la la! All sooo good. Can hardly wait to try other dishes on our next visit. If we can resist reordering these😵‍💫❤️

I thought for a bit, how to rate Golden Bowl. My decision is as much emotional as gastronomic. I ordered the egg roll appetizer and the Szechwan beef noodle soup, with hot tea to drink. My soup arrived before my egg rolls… The egg rolls were tasty and somewhere approaching the temperature of the surface of the sun. The noodle soup is a dish that I frequently eat at home in Atlanta. I told the server that I was doing an east coast / west coast comparison. I really cannot compare the two as they are nothing alike. The soup was flavorful and full of fresh, still crisp vegetables. The veggies were primarily zucchini, carrot, celery, and onion. The soup was labeled as spicy, but it was very mild compared to what I am accustomed to having. The atmosphere is very much the vibe that you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. If I could break down my ranking, I would give somewhere around four stars for the food and five for the very friendly staff. I will surely give them another try.

Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant is one of my favorite places to go if you're craving Chinese food. I rate it a 5 star because service is fast and the food is very good.

Enjoy the combination plates. Food is fresh, hot, and delicious. The fried prawns are a great appetizers. Hostess/waiter is very courteous.

We stopped in after driving most of the day, and had a quick, lovely dinner. The four of us were all over the menu - noodle soup, beef and mixed veg combo plate, sesame and orange chicken and rice. All dishes were fresh and delicious and the service was amazing. Highly recommend the noodle soup!

The food was good. The atmosphere was very clean and nice. The service is very friendly. But the soda came in a 12 ounce can and cost $2.75 per can that will cause me not to come back.

Arrived here at lunchtime and the restaurant was nearly empty. Ordered a spicy Sichuan style shrimp over rice lunch special. Less than 10 minutes later, the food arrived steaming hot. Everything was cooked just right. I usually shy away from ordering seafood, especially shrimp because unless it is really fresh, the taste suffers and spoils the entire meal. In this case, the shrimp was very fresh as well as the generous mixture of vegetables included, namely onion and green pepper. The egg drop soup was a little unique with chunks of celery but it was hot and tasted good. Staff was friendly as well.

I went there to experience a new Chinese restaurant. It was nice clean, spacious. The lady attending my table was great, but towards the end, my experience turned the opposite way I was still drinking my alcoholic beverage and packing on my food when another lady brought our check. I paid the bill and had cash in my hand to leave a tip.She did not see the tip and literally asked why I didn't leave a tip on the receipt card.I said is a necessary I paid for my food I'm still here it was uncalled for and a little petty a tip is not a requirement although some act like it is and it is my choice you should not ask for it when you were not even the person serving our table

First time here It wasn’t great. I ordered a combination plate, chicken chow mein, beef broccoli & cream cheese wontons. The chow mein was very salty and had a funky taste. Beef broccoli was bland and also had a weird taste. They only gave me 2 cream cheese wontons, I was hoping for maybe 1 or 2 more. The only good tasting thing was the chicken. For $18 there are many other places that have better food.

I went there to experience a new Chinese restaurant. It was nice clean, spacious. First time here It wasn’t great. I ordered a combination plate, chicken chow mein, beef broccoli & cream cheese wontons. The chow mein was very salty and had a funky taste. Beef broccoli was bland and also had a weird taste. They only gave me 2 cream cheese wontons, I was hoping for maybe 1 or 2 more. The only good tasting thing was the chicken. For $18 there are many other places that have better food.

When paying I felt uncomfortable as the two servers stared and spoke in their own language seeing how much I would tip. Afterwards my wife and I felt uncomfortable and with upset stomachs. I don’t understand how this restaurant has four star reviews it deserves 1 star!!

Gave us the wrong order and argued about it being correct. Bad customer service.

The food yoost to good but is terrible now. I ordered house rice and house chowmien and both were disgusting. The rice was crunchy and still white in places with old pieces of chicken one piece of pork and 2 little shrimp. The chowmien wasn't much better. I've been going here for many years but I'll never return.
