If you're nearby, you have to visit CHICK E RIBS BBQ! We had an amazing experience — the ribs were absolutely delicious, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also tried the pork nachos, and they were out of this world — every bite was better than the last! The service from Shawn and Christina was outstanding; they make you feel right at home with their warmth and passion for what they do. Definitely a place worth visiting again. Highly recommended!

We had the Sampler Dinner for 4, and it was nothing short of outstanding. Every bite, from the fire-slow-roasted fall off the bone ribs to the tender pulled pork, rich with deep, smoky flavor. You can taste the care and craft in the cook. Honestly, it outshines the Smoke Joint in Livingston Manor which is saying a lot. A hidden gem worth the stop.

Hands down one of the best BBQ spots I've been too. You can smell the BBQ from the road... which instantly draws you in. The rib meat was tender and juicy, falling right off the bone. The brisket and pulled pork nachos were 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 - delicious and savory I was impressed with the collard greens as well. BB and corn on the cob was great. Basically everything was amazing! If you have the chance to stop by this place.. DO IT, NOW. You will not be disappointed. Only disappointment you'll have is showing up late and he has unfortunately sold out of items. It happened to us but that goes to show you... his cooking/food is amazing. He sells out every night. A thank you to the owner, you're hospitality and generosity did not go unnoticed. Much success to you.

All around Awesome ...A local establishment owned by a local family! The inside has a great mural painted by a local artist and you can write your name on the wall! Food is delish and smoked on premise!! You know they are open if the smokes a rolling!!

Really great bbq. I got the very last order of chicken. Like most bbq places they go until they sell out. Atmosphere was pretty cool food was amazing.

Great people, great food and great prices, what's not to love?? Pulled pork sandwich is on point along with the brisket. Pulled pork/Cole slaw hot dog is simply devine. Will absolutely, definitely be back in the future.

I was traveling in the area, saw this place, and decided to give this place a try and I'm happy I did! The inside is clean and has a cool atmosphere. The staff was friendly, took my order quickly, and had it ready right away. I had the ribs which were tender and cooked to perfection. The baked beans were delicious and the mac and cheese with the bacon bits was great! It was a delicious meal and I would definately go back again.

Small, casual, family friendly BBQ joint. Highly recommend the hush puppies and ribs! Everyone was so nice and friendly. They had a couple old school arcade games and even gave our kids quarters to play.

Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, baked beans were perfect balance of savory and sweet, collard greens were soft and not overly bitter. The loaded corn bread was only decent, but generous. It was busy and all the seats were taken but there was outdoor seating and the weather was nice. Service was pretty quick. Will definitely stop here when driving through again!

Loved Chick E Ribs. Great service, excellent prices and delicious BBQ. Tried them for the first time on a Thursday & immediately and back to try more menu items on Friday. Loved it. Great environment, you can see the big smokers out back. They even have picnic tables available outside. Very clean place, kind & helpful staff. Can’t say enough good things. 10/10, highly recommend. (Seriously, the prices, homemade sides and quality are all incredible… stop by Weds-Sun and see for yourself).

Got a few dinner combos today and the owner was extremely accommodating and the food was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about it. If you’re driving up 17 to a further location, pop off @ the Liberty exit, it’s a quick 2 min off, 2 min back on the highway…if that much. Very positive experience

Wanted to take a ride upstate as my family and I knew it would be a beautiful day and I knew the main reason for the trip was Chick E Ribs. Had eaten there in the Fall and the food was so delicious we vowed to take a trip in the Spring, which came 2 days early for us. Shawn was the perfect host making sure all was good with the food, while his wife and staff were so congenial with any questions. There was really no reason to ask if the food was good, it was terrific. The full rack of ribs came off the bone with a fork. The meat was perfectly cooked and sauced to perfection. The two sides were delicious and plentiful, those being the French fries and the onion rings which were thick and coated just right. I am so glad that this former "truck-stop eatery" has found a permanent brick and mortar location. 2 thumbs up for the great service and 5 stars for the delicious food. As we like to drive Upstate often from Long Island, bet on us being as regular customers as we can be. UPDATED 5/25/2024: This local BBQ restaurant still has everything you can ask for. Anytime I go "Upstate" this is a destination for delicious and satisfying food. Shawn and his staff do everything possible to satisfy their customers, first with great service and then with great food. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are very big. Had the bbq 1/2 chicken and a full rack of ribs with my family. Both were simply delicious and the sides of onion rings and fries were also tremendous. You know that they aren't frozen but hand cut/made. Hats off to always quenching our desire for wonderful BBQ food.-Gary M.

Ordered 1/2 chicken, mack & cheese, beans & corn bread - was ready within 10 minutes. Truly mouth watering. Loved the atmosphere, writing on the walls, and friendly staff. Glad we stumbled across this place!

My wife and I took a quick ride to Liberty to my visit my Dad and do some grocery shopping. When we finished our errands, we were hungry so we looked online to see what was near us and we came across Chick-E-Ribs. The reviews were great so we decided to give them a try. We're so happy we did, because we absolutely LOVED it. We had the Pulled Pork Dinner and the Brisket Dinner along with sides of Mac & Cheese and Cole Slaw. We also got a half rack of ribs which were exquisite. So moist and tender and they literally fell off the bone. In both our dinner dishes, the meat was incredibly tender and juicy and full of flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy and equally delicious and the cole slaw... which I myself don't normally eat... was amazing. It was fresh and loaded with flavor. We've had BBQ up and down the east coast and this is truly the best we've ever had. We highly recommend giving this place a try because not only is the food great, the owners are local folks who are friendly and put their heart and soul into making fantastic food.

Friendly staff, the ribs were fall of the bone, tasted very good. They could have been a little warmer. The beans were so good and we loved the collard greens. We will come back for sure. !

Came here after a visit to Woodstock. We were the last few customers to enter and did get the last rack ribs. They tasted good but were dry, again the end of the Day. The brisket was tasty but the start of the show was the fried chicken 🍗. The sides were just sides no stand out. All in all a good stop.
