Usually when I travel, my first priority is to look for Panda Express because it's fast (when we don't have much time to waste at the restaurants), and it's healthier choice than mostly unhealthy fast food (burgers and pizzas) everywhere. I didn't write any reviews for any other Panda Express before because they have the same standards. This is first time I wrote a review for this Panda Express because a staff went around each table to check if the food was good. I was surprised because this only happens at the restaurants, not at the chain like Panda Express.

This location is a typical Panda Express fast food restaurant. Clean, fast service very standardized operation. Customer service good but not great. Fried rice not as good as I have experienced in other locations.

2 stars because employee in the drive thru was nice and polite. Took away 3 stars because the food went straight in the trash after a bite or two. Beijing beef was very old, tough and chewy. Portions were tiny, maybe half the amount of chicken as given at other Panda Express stores.

Normally we love this panda, but lately it has gone down hill. The drive thru takes an extremely long time, they keep shorting us on food, and the veggies seem old like they’ve been under a heat lamp for days. Also something weird has happened to the string bean chicken and mushroom chicken. Both have taken on a weird sweet flavor that they’ve never had before. I don’t know if a new chef is doing something different or accidentally making the recipe wrong but it makes both dishes taste disgusting. I really hope they can get it back together. We love panda, but it’s been such a disappointment lately.

I will not be going through their drive-thru ever again. They use an AI to "take orders" but the thing barely works and was constantly adding, subtracting, and mishearing items. Who in their right mind wants a goddamn robot to take your orders rather than the cashier who stills has to sit and wait until your order is over. After everything, we still had to wait while the AI called a cashier to "finalize the transaction"?? What was the point of the robot in the first place then? I'd recommend just going into the store and placing your order. All the staff is friendly, the food is still good, just please save your time and patience by just going inside.

We were visiting Lompoc for the first time on December 27th and decided to have dinner at this Panda Express location. We ordered four “Bigger Plates,” each costing $12.70. According to the menu, this is the largest portion size, but the portions we received were extremely small and disappointing. We have visited several other Panda Express locations, where both the food portions and service have always been excellent, which is why this experience was so surprising. I politely suggested to the staff that the portions should better reflect what customers are paying for, but they responded in a rude manner in front of my kids. I then politely asked for utensils, and the staff member continued to display a tense attitude, even though I was using manners such as “please” and “thank you.” Panda Express should seriously do more staff training at this location. I 100% DO NOT recommend getting food at this location, just eat elsewhere (any other place is literally better) because you WILL be disappointed. Based on the portions and the overall experience, this location feels more like “Stingy Express” than Panda Express. Honestly, it would have been a better experience to eat at the 7-Eleven across the street on Central Ave and H Street. This was the most upsetting experience I’ve had at a Panda Express, to the point that I felt compelled to write this review.

Used the drive thru and was asked to pull in front to wait for my vegetables for one of three, two item plates. The first of four cars to pull up front. Waited 27 minutes. Tried calling inside to check status. Phone was continuously busy and I had kids in the car so I couldn't go inside. When I finally got my food (after 2 cars got theirs) the food was cold, two items were wrong, and there wasn't much food in the containers. We're still all hungry! I told the clerk who delivered the food to the car. She asked if I'd like more food added to the containers. Not after I've complained for fear of food tampering chances. I did notify corporate. They kept moving people who walked in through relatively quickly. Never again!

Picture says it all, 3/05/2024 around 9 to 9:30 I don’t recall getting a receipt, I looked in my car and inside the bag box and nothing but ok. This is what happend from my experience, everything was fine it’s just we had to wait for the beef and brocoli because they were out so it was freshly made, I was in my phone when they told me the order was ready so I did not get to see what they put in the beef and brocoli, I paid and I do not remember getting a receipt we get home we bring our kids down and some groceries and my daughter was already hungry so I tried to serve her asap and wen we opened the beef and brocoli I start digging and I’m like “wait what???” Confused and I tell my partner I think it’s only brocoli and he said “let me see”, we pored it in a plate and there’s only what you see in the picture………… it’s just upsetting honestly. I called. The response from the girl who answer is, “that’s how it’s supposed to be more brocoli than beef” I’m like “????” “But theres around 14 pieces of brocoli and only round 4 pieces of beef” the girl “said yes it is supposed to be more brocoli than beef” also “there not really much we can do since you did get your order correct and we did the beef and brocoli fresh for you” in my head I’m like ???¿¿¿ I called for the manager which his name is Mario. Mario told me there’s should be for every 6 pieces of brocoli there has to be 4 pieces of beef. “Yes but there’s only around 4 or to 5 little pieces and I have around 14 pieces of brocoli” He told me that he could do the smallest portion to replace the beef missing that I wouldn’t be able to get a large side im just getting what I paid for.(which I never asked for nothing more) it’s just upsetting I would say unacceptable, but yes getting what I pay for is more than enough. Also he asked me for the receipt which he said it will be required and I said I didn’t have it I looked right and then in my car and the bag box and nothing. He said that they always give every costumer their receipt and that he was going to look at the cámaras. But well.. I didn’t have it and he asked me for a picture and well there it is but to make it clear there is no necessity for me to lie about something like this. The way this situation went it was totally bad bad.. and hopefully they take action about situations like this for the better.
