Had an amazing lunch at Green Mango. I am Thai and I found the food absolutely delicious and the best I have tasted in a long time. The Staff were highly attentive, Dear and Nathan were brilliant hosts and brought us the food super fast. Even though so busy they really took care of us and made us feel like family. Would highly recommend this amazing restaurant and will definitely come back.
NYE 2023 - set menu which was good value for money. Great taste all round and kore than enough food.. One vegetarian and one non-veg option. Great seating provided by Ashley (thank you ). Service was on point as were the drinks - complimentary champagne or mocktails (you choose). Portion sizes perfect and the salmon dish was very good ( think of salmon in a masala sauce - but not drowning ) .... Starters offered are essentially a platter of food (veg / non veg) which again were just right. DJ onsite from approx 0730 which at times overlapped the standard restaurant music. Great atmosphere with plenty of space and seating.... Would def recommend to anyone even if you only try it once...
Just finished dining here for celebrating our wedding anniversary and we tried the luxury set. So, we were able to taste a bit of everything. The starter came with so many variety of taste and the balance of every food was sensational, especially the squid salad, it was amazing. Chicken satay using chicken breasts were also delicious, because it was cooked perfectly and juicy not dry. The main course was so terrific. Amazing experience having dinner here.
The food here is some on the best Thai food I have tasted in a long time. We are regulars at this place and the food and service is always outstanding. Dawid was a perfect host for us, not only he remembers what we ate and where we were sitting on previous visits, his recommendations and general service is incredible! Cha Yen’s are amazing, the scallops with Thai chill sauce are also amazing. In general the food and atmosphere is outstanding!
Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in London, with very decent environment and nice staff. The menu is less extensive than the original store in Bangkok, but still plenty of excellent choices. Highly recommended the Mango Platter with Steak and the red curry placed in a pineapple. Thai ice tea is also a very nice choices.
This is my second visit in a short few months ... I’ve been determined to get back and enjoy the food, atmosphere, cocktails and of course the company. Food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Atmosphere 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Cocktails 😍😍😍😍😍 Very classy, great menu! Conveniently near to Victoria train station so perfect for a few drinks and dinner and back home without it being to late to travel but you’ve had a great night in London! Definitely be back for very soon 💕
Relaxing, serene interior, nice background music, food was delicious. Aromatic duck spring rolls were crispy and hot. Dipped in the hoisin it was scrumtious. The soft shell crab was delicious. The dipping sauce giving that right amount of heat. Popcorn shrimp was crunchy and a table favorite. Definitely get a mango daiquiri, it comes in a pineapple and is very good. Glad we finally made it there. Great lunch spot when out and about.
DELICIOUS! What a great dinner we had, the appetizers were a really good portion. The squid could use just a bit more marinade/sauce as that was really tasty. I was disappointed that the pork wasn't neck but still tender and comes with a delicious sauce. For mains we got the tasting selection of curries and the chicken pad thai. It's really great that you can get a taste of 3 different curries with 3 different proteins which were each flavourful. The pad Thai had everything a pad Thai should have, good ingredients, a sweetness to it and the lime which adds acidity to lift the rest up. The chicken which usually you'd find mixed with the noodles is cooked separately with a sort of BBQ sauce but it was damn good chicken. Will definitely be back!!
One of my most favourite modern vision pan Asian restaurants in the city. Love the ambience, service, variety of menu, access to the restaurant etc. They have most of the classic dishes and it's both presented and made well. I always bring out of town visitors here for a lunch or dinner to impress them.
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor, and expertly prepared. Each dish was a delight, showcasing a wonderful blend of ingredients. Additionally, the customer service was outstanding—every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. I felt well taken care of from start to finish. I can't wait to return for another meal soon! 👌🏾
An oldie but goodie. Having dined here over the last 20 years (each & every visit to London) - this restaurant still delivers an above average experience. We dropped in over lunch & tried their set menu (excellent value @ £30 for a 3 course meal + drink) & pleased to say that authentic delicious Thai food is the mainstay of this restaurant. Everything was delicious & beautifully presented. The manager Mr Anish was professional & helpful ensuring our group were well taken care of. An overall excellent experience - we’ll be back on our next trip!
I went here with my family for my birthday. First thing I noticed was how spacious the interior was, It was clean and had a lovely atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. The staff were all so polite and made you feel welcomed. We all ordered a cocktail each, and they were very generous with the spirits. Between us we ordered the Pad Thai, vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, thai fishcakes, special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken. All was really nice. The best bit for me was the dessert, as this was new to me. I had the Thai tea fondant. This was sooooo nice and not too sweet. If you never had it, you must try it. Price was not too expensive, but not cheap either. All in all a very good evening. Will definitely go again.
As a last minute booking to the start of our weekend in London, the Mango Tree was a great choice. My wife and I love Thai food, and having visited Thailand, we've experienced the food as it should be. Mango Tree did not disappoint. We had the Luxury Set Menu, which gave us a lovely combination of dishes, and every one was delicious. Well worth the, very reasonable, price. Highly recommended, we will definitely visit again next time we're in London.
A fantastic restaurant serving a great selection of Thai dishes. The restaurant is larger but I would recommend booking as it can get very busy. I was given a window seat which looks out onto Grosvenor Place and it was nice to be in a peaceful restaurant whilst the busy street scene take place outside. Service was very quick and the team were all very polite and attentive. I had the chicken satays followed by the Lamb Shank massaman. Both were superb but the Lamb Shank was exceptional, a very generous portion, incredibly tender and amazing flavour. I would highly recommend Mango Tree to anyone who enjoys Thai food but wants to try something a little different
This is one of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. I went here with my fiancé and friend for my birthday. o my God the food was amazing every dish was 10/10 I loved the green papaya salad. We had the luxury Thai set menu without soup. Everything was amazing even the desert and I’m not even a dessert person. The staff were very kind and amazing. Food was served quickly no long wait. We went on a quiet night but wow I am going again thats how amazing the food was!!
Mango tree is a restaurant I always wanted to try and my my my I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the luxury set menu with the prawn soup and everything tasted amazing! The staff were very welcoming and attentive and made the night extra special. And I got engaged!! Woohoo! We will visit here every year to celebrate. Highly recommended and good value for money. I can't wait to go again!
Absolutely love this restaurant, I take friends here for a catch up as I know it will be the most pleasant experience. Amazing food & service, we had the most helpful waitress too. Thank you!
Booked here for a birthday lunch and was not disappointed, the staff were extremely friendly and eager to please, the cocktails were great and the food was delicious, reasonably priced given the location and quality of the food too. Great options for both veg and non veg, definitely coming back!
Wonderful Thai restaurant in London! All the dishes were delicious, the interior was beautiful, and the waiter was so kind. Highly recommend.
The food is so delicious. I recommend the chicken satay, black pepper beef and sweet and sour chicken! So good. The place has nice vibes. The servers are friendly.
Amazing food served here. Reminded us of our trip across South East Asia. Staff were friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food here was amazing, chose this place for my team Xmas lunch and we were not disappointed. The staff were courteous and helpful but the food was the winner. I will definitely visit again.
Food was lush I have no complaints 😋 Good service and a nice environment to enjoy a nice meal.
5* to the food! All the food we ordered was exceptional! Special mention of the tom yu. Soup and green curry. As far as service goes it was evident they were struggling. However the only complaints we'd have is that even after specifying no mushrooms in the veg food there were mushrooms in all the dishes. Secondly, the salad arrived when we were finished with our main course and was brought out by someone who looked like a chef with a very angry look. Not out fault buddy! Definitely going back for the food but we hope service is sorted soon. All the best guys!
We had business lunch for 8 people and opted for luxury thai menu £50 ppn set menu plus drinks. Food is enough for all of us and it was tasty but the serving plate is not practical. We need to share each dish one plate for 4 people and the plates need to be passed around during our meal. Plate is large and heavy. There is enough space on the table to have smaller plates and they could have given one plate for 2/3 people to share not for 4 people. Not only for starter we had 2 plates to share for 8 of us but also for the main course. This doesn’t really work for business lunch, is not friends or family gathering and there is no rotating table. Perhaps for small group business lunch work but not really for more than 6 people. Sharing plater is lovely - beef salad, chicken satay prawn spring roll very nice Main course chicken green curry pad thai drunken noodle grilled chicken is amazing Please also check the take away, we did take away for the leftovers but we missing chicken curry and chicken grill…
For a special occasion this is a great Halal Thai restaurant. The food was good as expected for the price. The mocktails were a little too expensive considering it's just juice and syrup + a few bits with no alcohol. The main reason for the 4 star was because we continuously saw 1 staff being rude and bullying another staff in front of our eyes. We heard him say "what about that don't you understand!" To another staff in a rude and patronising tone. He was also shouting at another staff. It's not nice to treat others like that in the first place and also especially in front of customers. Treat your workers well, and they will stay.
Went here after a fantastic experience in their Bangkok restaurant. Unlike the one in Thailand which is super relaxed, this has a more refined atmosphere with a slight Japanese feel to the decor. Can't fault the food, which was sublime, or the service. Wine expensive but it is central London and next door to Buckingham Palace!
First time Mango tree years ago Bangkok center,a shack, but food were execellent! Visited HK Element, place fancy, food not quite as original. Once again met in London, elegant place, tender service, execellent food much like BKk, shrimp chips crunchy, exceptional prawn salad, fish cake, satay, prawn rice noodle, mango fried rice, completed with great pairing rose’ …….. one best moment in London🥂🥂
We were humming ‘Underneath the Mango Tree’ from Dr No on our way to this restaurant expecting to be transported to a tantalising and exotic location like in the film but in a culinary sense. We weren’t disappointed. Food was excellent, service even better, perhaps the best service we’ve had in a long time (Abhiyash was an amazing server) and the ambiance on point. Best of all the entire menu was halal which is quite rare in Thai restaurants. Why not five stars? All of the excellence comes at a hefty price tag which is somewhat prohibitive - we were two people and ended up forking out £120 for starters, mains and dessert. Overall, well worth a visit! P.S. We’ve never been too fond of duck dishes but the duck here has really renewed our faith and shown that well cooked duck goes a long way.
I was walking around the palace and got hungry and MT is right there. The price is bit high, of course it's next to the palace! I had crispy calamari for appetizer. It's very tasty and perfectly quick fried and stir fried with sauce. The Chicken Pad Thai has its own twist. The chef made a net with beated egg and covers the pad Thai with it. Interesting presentation. Services are good and friendly.
My wife has dined at Mango Tree in the past based on her previous experience I decided to give it a try. I must say the location and atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely but the food was a massive let down. She even agreed the quality of the food wasn't the same compared to her previous visit. Only two out of the four starters were nice which was the satay chicken skewers and prawn spring roll. Duck spring roll and the fish cakes I can only compare it to your average local Thai takeaway standard. The beef salad was nice and has a little kick to it. Lamb shank was cooked to perfection but the gravy just didn't hit the spot for me. Lamb chops cooked exactly how we asked but all you can taste was lime... The dessert pretty much made up for the lackluster starter and main.
Was here for a birthday dinner, the service was a bit slow, but maybe because we had a big group. We had the set menu and the starters were delicious, very tasty. We got some beef steak salad, duck speing rolls, prawn spring roll and saty chicken, which was nicely done and tasty. The mains were okayish...the prawn green curry was a bit bland, the sweet and sour fish was nice, but not my thing, the best thing in the mains for me was the beef in black bean sauce. The grilled chicken was nice too. Pudding waa a coconut mousse which was like a lovely light cheesecake which went very well with the raspberry sauce. Cocktails were nice and a decent size, although not very strong.
Mango Tree has been a Belgravia staple and still delivers great food and attentive service. The set menu for 4 was extremely generous and every dish was fantastic. They accommodated all our dietary requirements including a severe nut allergy. The staff and management were excellent and patient as we were there till late. They accidentally gave me an alcoholic cocktail instead of the mocktail I ordered hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
Good food, as was the service too. Didn't like the fact there was a massive birthday party right behind us and they were loud as anything! Also the route to the toilet there alot of clutter everywhere, I didn't expect a very up market place to leave storage and just excess stuff lying around on the side
Like the happy hour they offer. Atmosphere could be a bit my lively and service was fine.
Nice place, good service. Squid starter and spicy drink was delicious! However, I didn't like consistency of noodles and taste was quite dull.
As I have tried the restaurant branch in Bangkok, I would say there might be too much localisation that it’s slightly disappointing in term of authenticity, esp. with the consideration of mid/ high price segment. Overall, the food is good, but not yet outstanding!!! The drink presentation is good!! Maybe my expectations is too high !!!
Not as good as it looks. It's the first time I've been let down by the quality of Thai food, which is my favourite cuisine. The satay sauce had too many bits and the green Thai curry had very strong veg in there that ruined my taste buds. Atmosphere wasn't great either, felt like I was in a cold warehouse. Nevertheless I was happy it was halal.
Friendly staff (more Indian than thai). Beautiful decor (more Japanese cherry blossom than thai). Food quite nice - Thom Kha soup was great, rest so-so, beer a bit poor. Nice looking bar. They should turn on aircon on stuffy hot days.
Went there for lunch. Nice setting and service was good. Ordered the DIm Sum and prawns for starters. Sea Bass and Pad Thai for mains. The food however nothing special and way too expensive for what you get. Would rather try another Thai next time and don't think I'll be here again.
Food was good. Starters were tasty. The main course, however, came out warm. Drinks were also not cold as requested. Service could have been better, though they did try their best to accommodate requests. All in all, just okay.
The dining environment is spacious and cozy, the appetizers are delicious, which we ordered chicken satay, deep fried soft shell crab and tiger prawn spring roll, which are delicious..... But other than that, everything is just soso.... main course we are ordered is quite disappointing, especially thatvpad thai, which is too sweet and the sauce used to froed the noodles, is too think.... we cannot finish even half. Dessert, which we ordered 3 scoops of sorbet, please dun order the chilly one, which is unnecessary too spicy. We left half because it is indeed not tasty. Service, can have large room of improvement, as they always , always come over to ask us have we finished, in fact we were still eating... If one time of disturbance is fine, but not 3 to 4 times..... hope they can improve on that.
Beautiful decor spoiled by loud music that does nothing to add to the ambience. As a table of 3 we found it difficult to talk but it was turned down after we asked twice. Food delicious and service great. Would be enhanced by subtle background music not the racket playing in both the bar and restaurant.
The staff were great, nice atmosphere, beautiful interior but the food wasn't all that. Having said that, I haven't tried the whole menu so I think I'll be going again.
