I hope you have the opportunity to go here. If you do, get the shaken beef with garlic noodles. It is my favorite. They have a lot of great options and a huge amount of specialty drinks. My only gripe is $3.95 for regular tea and no refills. Not happy with that and I think that's something they should change. They have outdoor seating which is nice and offer takeout.

We came here twice in 1 day! Fantastic drinks. So many food and drink options. The garlic noodles ah-Making! Perfectly cooked and a large portion! It's almost 11 pm and the line is out of the door. The vibe is great the music is hyped just need my food and Tea and I'm out! Recommend the calamari for sure!

I have been waiting for this location to open, and it was worth the wait. They focus more on drinks unlike their other stores. They have coffee, tea, and slushes to choose from. I am a green tea drinker, and ordered the Pink Flamingo. Yummy and refreshing. My husband and son got the House Coffee. I am not a fan of coffee, but wow!!! This drink was amazing! The owner, Sky, was talking with my husband about how he hand crafted the blend he uses for his house coffee and it took 7 years to perfect. We also had the Macadamia Coffee and Thai Milk Tea, both with boba, and both delicious. They do have a few food options, one being a pork bahn mi. The bread was fresh and the meat was flavorful. The store had a nice welcoming vibe, and had plenty of space to sit and socialize. We will be back.

Absolutely recommend this place. I got a Pork Bahn Mi and Vietnamese Ice coffee. Both were so delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest.

Literally my go-to spot during finals week! It’s always busy but worth the wait. Great boba and appetizers. I got a taro smoothie with boba, popcorn chicken, cajan fries and calamari! Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

The new coffee shop is a great way to begin my morning. In between the regular Vietnamese coffee or coconut base is my go-to breakfast starter pack along with a croissant sandwich. Employees are friendly and will give you their honest opinion on what their favorite menu items are.

Wow! My first time stepping foot into a Hiccups location, and I'm a fan! I love iced mocha, which unfortunately isn't an option here, but the super friendly employee explained what they did have. I got the house and an iced vietnamese, and they were both fantastic. Definitely coming back to try the others and their food.

I stopped in after shoe shopping and I was pleasantly surprised to see "real" food and not baked goods to go with boba tea and coffee. I tried the horchata coffee and the shaken beef and rice. Everything was delicious. I don't usually like caramel-flavored items but the horchata wasn't overly sweet and cloying. It was perfect. I loved it. The beef was delicious also. Such great flavors 😋 👌 I would come back. The staff was so nice and the atmosphere was very chill. It made me feel so comfortable. Great spot.

The atmosphere was well kept. Staff turned over tables as soon as customers were done. The staff at the pos was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The food was delicious. I got the BBQ pork with rice. My only complaint is that the sauce was very heavy. Don't get me wrong, the sauce is delicious but there was just too much. It could get a little overwhelming at times and because it was with the rice, the rice was soaked in the sauce giving the double effect of the sauce. The dish would be perfect with a little less sauce. The BBQ pork should be coated in it not drowning in it.

Food is really good. I personally had the Garlic Noodles with Shaken Beef and it was amazing. Really well seasoned and the beef had a ton of flavor. The drinks were also incredibly great with a ton of variety of great flavors. It’s a bit pricey but it’s absolutely worth it as a treat every once in a while. Highly recommend!

I got the strawberry twist at 50% sweetness and it’s really fresh tasting. I really appreciate that it mainly focuses on the drinks, but there are snack options.

Came in for a drink and left with a meal. I couldn't resist the kimchi shrimp fired rice and fried chicken wings. Food here is always yummy. Maliah and Angelica are a powerhouse when it comes to customer service, efficiency and delicious food and drinks. Only suggestion is for a change in music once in awhile, other than that...love this location for sure.

How did I not know this place existed?! I had garlic noodles with shaken beef and it was super delicious! The noodles were perfectly cooked and the beef was tender and very well seasoned. I also had a Thai tea with boba and it was also really good. The service was fast and friendly, offering suggestions when I didn't know what to order. The restaurant was really clean and there is ample seating and parking outside. I cant wait to come back and highly recommend this place!

Whenever I crave shrimp fried rice this is the place I come too. Also love their Horchata Milk Tea with Boba. And you can't go wrong with some plain garlic noodles. Can't wait to try more items and I'm pretty sure they won't disappoint.

This was my first time trying this place, and I must say that it tasted exactly how the pictures on the website looks; 👄🔊DELICIOUS! The Garlic noodles were my favorite, but ALL of their food and teas were yummy; it was a party in my tummy!

Started coming here when it first opened. Haven't been here in a while so it's good to see that they still have amazing customer service and their food is still amazing. I was very disappointed to see that my favorite dish had been taken off the menu. But, luckily they were able to make it for as requested! A lot of other establishments would not even bother even asking to make it. Even though It's a 40min drive it is always worth it!!

This is my favorite boba tea place in all of SoCal. Not only because it's not your ordinary tea cafe (as they have an extensive asian fusion menu), but since they opened, the owners of the shop have always been kind and thoughtful about their business. I've studied here, hung out with friends, and all the while this place has grown to meet the wave of changing and growing number of customers. Their milk teas are non dairy and sugar levels are controllable. In addition to the fact that you can get two drinks in one container, Hiccups considers customer experience from service, to food, to atmosphere.

Staff was great. So friendly. I got the pineapple chicken fried rice and it was enough for 3 meals and I am a big dude :-) The coffee drinks are also some of the best I have had and they offered a sample of bobba with it to see if I liked it. Amazing place overall.

Gave a swing at the choc version oreo with whip creme cause I like to pretend I'm not eating healthy'ish food. The drink was nice and not to sweet; not sure how you pull that off with chocolate and whip creme; enjoyed the lack of too much ice. Gotta dig that french baguette with warm pork, if you haven't already; go with the jalapenos

Such a beautiful location! The Hiccups Barista concept focusing on brewing good coffee is a good one. I got the house coffee, and it was DELICIOUS! I also got the banh mi sandwich, and it was seriously SO GOOD. The baguette bread wasn’t all hard where it hurts my mouth; it was light and fluffy with a satisfying crunch. The meat itself and vegetable ingredients were so fresh. The sandwich wasn’t too big where I was overly full and was the perfect small in-between a snack and meal. Loved my impromptu coffee and banh mi brunch in the middle of my work week. 😋 The cherry on top? Customer service was so friendly and amazing!! Highly recommend this spot ☕️💗

This place is great their food is really tasty everything is Asian infused 👌 I got the Mongolian noodles with beef and it was delicious... it had the right amount of condiments giving it a garlic salty taste. I also tried the pad thai and it was good too👍🔥 they have a variety of teas and a bunch of other drinks that include boba as well. Their prices are not the cheapest but it's worth the quality😋 should be going back soon to try another item.

The food used to he excellent but now it's mid at best. I got the garlic noodles with shaken chicken and the veggies were raw! They used to be sautéed but they were raw, hard veggies and it ruined the meal for me

I moved to Long Beach in early January 2023. Like most I love coffee however I am not huge on Starbucks and Dunkin as they both are wildly overpriced and inconsistent with drinks. The first time we got drinks tastes almost the same every time since then. The staff is almost all warm and inviting minus this one guy who works there… but the drinks are amazing little heavy on the ice. My favorites are the coconut iced coffee, house blend iced coffee, and the pink flamingo. Perfect for a quick lunch or you can order ahead for pickup. They have a easy to use app and rewards program. Stop in and try it your mouth will thank you.

I like this place. The service is good and so is the coffee. However I see plenty of people walk in, quickly scan the menu and then walk out. It is not immediately clear that you can get a regular coffee here, or an espresso drink (latte etc). The only thing they advertise is this sugary Milk Teas. They also don't make it clear than they have some small food options. This place would have more business if locals knew it was a ALSO a proper coffee shop. Instead they walk over to Starbucks next door.

Love this place, their drinks are always refreshing and their food is amazing. I usually get the Thai milk tea but lately I have been getting the jasmine milk tea. The only downside is that sometimes the line is out the door, which is a good thing, but also I don’t always have the time to wait that long for a drink. But I did learn recently you can order ahead of time and pick it up which is a game changer.

If you're going for drinks. They have a nice and lovely selection. Food its taste full if you're getting appetizers, as far as meal and protein I recommend not getting any shrimp. It's good but it's just frozen shrimp that's re-cooked. Next time I'll try the other protein selection.

Hiccups is a small chain of tea bars, and this long beach location is one of the smaller and newer ones. Tried the house coffee, which tasted really similar to a sea salt coffee, and also the jasmine milk tea. I appreciated that the milk teas are not made with dairy, and that I can lower the sweetness down to 25%. Foodwise, they only have "snacks" that come in the form of croissant sandwiches and banh mi. The croissant is just ok, I would skip. But the banh mi is actually pretty good. The French roll was soft and the BBQ pork packs a lot of flavor and plays well with the pickled carrots included in the sandwich.

First time ever having one these Chimoy drinks... aaAAazingly delicious. My daughter had a Lychee with greasy boba( pink drink pictured) likes it very much too. We also had The Shrimp spring rolls and something was just missing, lack of flavor unless you dipped them into sauce given. We’ve had many other variations of spring rolls and I think we just prefer maybe ones that have a savory but light flavor when you first bite into them. Will we go again.. yes of course. Other dishes to try too.

My BF and I stopped by for dinner on a whim. We ordered to-go and our food was ready in 5 minutes. One entree and one appetizer (garlic noodles with shrimp and popcorn chicken) was about $20 and more than enough food for us to share. The popcorn chicken was pretty dry by itself, but of course, the dipping sauces helped with that. Really enjoyed the noodles. A liiiittle overpriced for the quality, perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Hiccups Loved this place and especially loved the free drink upon Yelp check-in! My friends and I decided to stop by here to try out their drinks because they had a wide variety to offer such as the chamoy mango and cookies and cream. While the mango was far too sweet and sour for my liking, I was disappointed at the fact that they did not have the cookies and cream base on my visit as I am not a local of Long Beach and would’ve loved to try it. DRINKS Taro smoothie with boba add-on — $5.75 regular — overall very delicious, mixed well, but very sweet and you can not modify the sugar. I loved the fact that it was not chalky as most places somehow cannot mix the taro powder in their smoothie. I loved that it wasn’t too much ice and it was very smooth and easy to drink, but it was very sweet and I didn’t like that you couldn’t adjust how much sugar you had in the drink. Granted, if you’re being conscious of your sugar intake this is definitely not the drink for you. Vietnamese coffee —$4.95 regular — cannot modify the amount of ice. Strong in taste, no foam in it like other boba shops have it but that’s nothing against Hiccups, and my boyfriend loved the taste. It’s less on the sweet side compared to other shops which is actually a preference for my boyfriend. WAIT TIMES They had quoted us twenty minutes on a rather busy Sunday evening but the drinks came out around the ten minute mark. FINAL THOUGHTS Overall, I loved the fact that they had appetizers and entrees here. A couple people had meals and I was definitely eyeing some of their dishes. It was a shame that we had gone to eat elsewhere as I would have tried this out if I had known they also served food here. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have a loyalty card but since I don’t live in the area I’m not really that disappointed. * Don’t forget to check in on Yelp to get a free beverage! They even use it on the most expensive drink on your order! *

Nice place and some staff super nice. But bit stingy to give you credit when the drink is bad. Had to throw away a $ 6.40 coffee do bad milk. But nobody has authority there to fix the problem. The owner is only there during the day. So no luck

Hiccups has amazing food and service and the atmosphere is amazing I study here often during my mid terms. However, one thing I have noticed is that the music selection tends to be very repetitive but besides that hiccups is truly amazing!!!

The young girl that works during the week is Amazing she cares about Customers. The Sunday Staff don't care already told them twice my drink was bad no effort to refund you. Cashier did not know how to add hot tea so she overcharged me $4.50 for Americano!

Cute location. Met up with an old friend here and ordered the beef pad thai - it was a pretty sizable portion, a-ok flavor. At first I felt like it was overpriced, but when it came out, it was about 2 servings worth of food. I also ordered the horchata milk tea with boba, and it was a-ok. As for service, you order up front, they give you a number and deliver it to your table. Service is quick and smooth. Food is average, but the decor is nice.

Bad customer service over the phone while trying to order pick up. I've eaten here multiple times for their vegan egg rolls and various other things they were able to make vegan and the gentlemen over the phone blatantly told me "this place is not vegan friendly." Disappointed with this change in attitude, not been my experience in the past. They lost out on a customer tonight.. would've even been willing to get some of their Boba tea if he had been at least attempting to recommend some appetizers or drinks.

Started with a 25 minute wait for a simple chicken and rice combo. Once I got home and was able to try it the chicken was over cooked and dry. The flavor was good so they have potential but need to work on their cooking time and speed up their service.

I went to long beach location specifically to redeem my loyalty points. Couldn't unless ordered on line and entered a credit card. That makes no sense. It's easy when you purchase food but when trying to get your earned reward it's They make it difficult. Why have a liyalty program? Redeeming process should be changed as I spend lots of money at this place.

In my opinion, the only reason I'd come back to this location is if I was really craving a golden milk tea. Besides that, their standards of products are meh. I've given this place multiple chances and most of the time there is an issue with my order. The most recent time I went, I decided to give their lunch specials a shot and ordered garlic noodles. It took me 20 min to get there and my food still wasn't ready so I waited an additional 10 in the lobby for my food. My first mistake (which I should have known better from previous experiences) was not checking my order. I will say this much at least, they gave me EXACTLY what I ordered... beef garlic noodles. No, I literally man just garlic noodles. No vegetables or cilantro, just noodles tossed in garlic with beef. If you look at ANY other picture of their garlic noodles, you can see why I was so shocked at my order. And yes, I paid $12 for this and a drink. Bon appetit.

Asked for light ice. They said yes. But would not do it. Kids are young. Some care but most seem half asleep looking to see if a tip was left. They have good drinks. Seem pre-made...but im not sure.

two stars to be generous, because I think their teas are good and is what actually drives the traffic. I ordered wings for the first time and got a surprised when I got home to find the wings were half the size of my finger, at least two of them, the rest weren't any bigger than my finger. I didn't actually eat this, I wasn't sure how exactly this was a chicken wing? And this super small box of fries are just over priced, regular fries or cajun fries it is the same price.

Their Thai tea is always pretty good. I've come here for many years and feel that this place has declined in how their food tastes. I usually order the chicken pad Thai and the last few times I've been here their food hasn't been tasting as good as it use to. This last time that I came to get their chicken pad Thai is was not good. My little sister avoided all the chicken because it tasted burnt. And this girl eats almost anything. So it was really sad to see her not finish her meal because she was grossed out by it. I was very understanding when they raised the prices and I use to even leave tips. But now, absolutely not worth it and way over priced for the terrible food that I've been buying. For just 2 meals and 2 drinks it was over 45.00 yeah, they definitely won't be getting that out of me anymore. It's sad been I found this place about 7 years ago and I was rooting for them through the pandemic. But I can't support them anymore.

I was excited to come here but the service is horrible. me and my husband ordered our food and he got his plate first. I waited for my plate to come next but the waitress wouldn't bring it, so I thought maybe it takes that long to prepare. I asked the waitress about my order and she said that she would check on it few minutes passed by and she brought my plate. She apologized for the wait, turns out the cook forgot to make it in the first place. We also order drinks, and we were expecting them to be served in a cute Mason jars as they advertise and they served then in plastic cups.👎

ordered a taro milk tea with oat milk. cashier said the base is non-dairy and asked if i still wanted oat instead, and i said yes (bc most "non-dairy" milks are still cow milk which i don't drink). all the workers seemed horribly confused and kept talking amongst themselves, even to the point where a manager (i assume) came over and was like ".. are y'all good?" idk, that was super weird. unsurprisingly, the drink was fairly flavorless, tasted like it had unblended powder in it, and i SWEAR it tasted... soapy? how?? at least the one redeeming quality is that the boba was a nice size and texture.

Don't trust photos if ordering online. You order noodles that have meat in the picture, you're just getting noodles. Oh, .50 cents for extra parm? I got one pizza packet for 2 orders. Noodles, just the noodles, were good, hope their in house is better.

This place is SCAM! Ordered their BOGO orange chicken. It was literally one regular serving, split into two. This kind of business practice turns me off from a business.

The business appeared closed and lock was placed on door. At 9:05 I asked if they were closed and they said No, however the girl at the counter said the kitchen closed at 9 therefore I could not order. There was two people still eating inside but they had already put up chairs on tables. Shouldn’t they stop service at 9:30 pm, then close and clean up afterwards?

I couldn’t understand why there were mixed reviews but am well aware now… my fiancé literally found a hair that was neither of ours in his noodles. On top of that the food was mediocre. Scared to come back.

The only thing I can honestly say is the atmosphere is amazing on the other hand the food is over rated! I drove to this restaurant and decided to give it a try after seeing it on facebook I was disappointed with the frozen barbecue wing's they were tasteless you can tell the food is cooked and frozen! We spent 50$ on barbecue wing’s and garlic noodles that were extremely dry 🥺 along with boba that was watered down I have no expiations of returning to hiccups I am disappointed in the advertisement they hyped up hiccups never 👎 again

I Will Absolutely NEVER return to this STINGY establishment. Today I ordered $50 dollars worth of food and left tip at the register before I even got my meal. I had ordered lemon pepper wings and asked for more seasoning because I felt it needed more and the employees refused saying they couldn't add more seasoning even tho, I even offered to pay extra for Salt and pepper. They went as far as to contact the owner via text or call to see if they could sell me more salt/seasoning for my wings. Absolutely Rediculous! There are plenty of other restaurants that won't act this way. Seasoning cost this owner any future businesses from me.

I ordered delivery from here. This place used to be good. They charged me 17 dollars for greasy garlic noodles with one packet of Parmesan cheese. Not a single other thing in that dish. Unbelievable. Placed the order and came to the store at the estimated pickup time and the cashier said “it’s gonna be a few minutes”. So I sat down and waited. I asked once more when I waited 20 minutes and she said again “it’s gonna be a few minutes”. I waited at the table for a total of 45 minutes before I got my order, mind you, no one else was in the store and I ordered online to avoid waiting. And on top of that, the chicken had no spicy powder on it. It came to me PALE and DRY. To those kids at the hiccups that work nights, please find a new job. This isn’t for you.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. The food is overpriced for the quality provided. The chow mein was excessively oily, leaving an unpleasant greasy aftertaste, as shown in my attached picture. It felt no better than generic Chinese fast food, but with a price tag that is unjustifiable. The shaken beef was particularly disappointing. It was dry and lacked flavor, which suggests they may be using cheaper cuts of beef instead of filet mignon, as advertised or expected. The overall quality and taste were far below what I anticipated for the price. After eating, I felt overwhelmed by the heavy oiliness of the food. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for quality or value for your money. There are far better options out there for the same or even lower price.
