Recensioni di Natraj Long Beach
Was welcomed and felt appreciated as a customer. The food was well cook and spices spoke the region. Will be returning because not only that their prices are cheap compared to other indus region food. Not overpriced savory and spicy. Will be returning :) I should’ve took a picture before I ate smelled so good I couldn’t wait.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by the lovely Jana. She was so kind personable, and just such a unique wonderful energy that I felt so safe and joyful in her presence. She was so amazing and also the food was delicious the mango lassy was delectable. Cannot wait to make this my regular spot.!!! Jana it’s so extraordinary that she deserves a raise!! Thank you thank you thank you can’t wait to see you soon!!
Great food. Love the Nepali Style MoMo. Very friendly staff. Must go place.
I went to this place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Owners were on the floor and they made sure we had pleasant time . I would definitely go there again.
Everything I've ever tried here has been delicious. They also do a super affordable lunch buffet.
NOTE: This review was updated to add an old photo. This is not a reflection of the current owners. Natraj is one of few restaurants you will find on 2nd street that has withstood the test of time. This was the first place I tried Indian food in 2003/2004... and I keep coming back because, well, the food is amazing, the prices are generous for the quality you receive, the weekend lunch buffet/champagne brunch Sundays are such a fantastic value and Bubbly and Mr. Singh are sooo sweet and attentive!! You'll feel welcomed from the first to the last bite! Bonus, it always feels good to know I'm spending money at local, family run, quality establishments like Natraj!! Keep an eye on 2nd street.. you'll see restaurants with high prices (to account for the crazy rent landlords on 2nd street charge) pop up and disappear like a revolving door cuz they don't have what it takes to keep customers coming back again and again. Natraj on the other hand, knows how to do it right!!! Natraj has been there since either the 80s or 90s, and once you eat here, you'll see why they're a 2nd street gem! I recommend the garlic naan and the buffet... especially if you're new to Indian food. You'll get a taste of the most popular dishes at a mild spice level. If you're more of a spice lover or are feeling adventurous, come in and order off the menu and have the spice level tailored to your taste buds. Highly recommend the lamb curry medium- spicy level (it is mouth watering you guys!!!!!) , or for first timers, visit on a Sunday when mild lamb curry is served. I love the spinach saag (I always get 2 servings of this dish... it is so so amazing to dip that light crispy garlic naan into this spinach deliciousness 😋), tandoori and butter chicken are amaaazing, samosas are crispy and filled with a delicately spiced potato mixture and they have really tasty vegetarian options as well (they are DELICIOUS choices even if you're a meat eater, so I know vegetarians will love this joint!!)
A cozy place run by a family and they treats you like family too. The quality of food is amazing. One of the best no frills indian restaurants in LA.
Came for the buffet and ate all the Tikki Masala I could. Tbh just as good if not better than any other area indian food. I left full and satisfied. Buffet was A+

You absolutely must visit this place if you’re in Long Beach (and if you aren’t, make the drive!). Possibly the best service I’ve ever received at a restaurant, and the food is about as legit as it gets. No matter your dietary restrictions, they got you covered. Of the hundreds of items on the menu, I recommend starting with the lamb curry and letting your curiosity lead the rest of the way. Again, do not miss out on this place.
By far the greatest Indian food ever. But not only does their food taste amazing, they are quite possibly the kindest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. Try their Buffett or their daily specials. So good Tikka masala and Saag Paneer are my favorites. And veggie pakoras are to die for! The hubby thinks their goat and their lamb curries are fantastic. We love this place so much. Give it a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Jenna was our server, and she was fantastic! Very helpful, sweet and funny. She introduced us to new dishes that my boyfriend and I have never tried before, and we LOVED. The food is so flavorful and well priced. It is a family owned business with a wonderful atmosphere, just a block from the ocean. 10/10 recommend!
Great experience, great people, and great food! A must to try at Long Beach. People in Long Beach know this is THE Indian cuisine restaurant to eat at.
The food here was so delicious and the service was 10/10. Our server took great care of us and checked on us frequently to make sure we were happy to our meals. So yummy, will definitely be back for their buffet on the weekends
i love this place! service is great and the food is so good! i love the sampler platter
We celebrated my friend’s birthday, and the service was outstanding, with a lovely personal touch. Every dish we ordered was served hot, fresh, and delicious. The ambience is great for a dine in place. Thank you.

Hari was very very kind. Food was excellent. Came in from Houston with a friend to try some Indian and wow. Wonderful!!!

I’m so sorry I hate to be negative but I hope this helps the business become better, the aloo Gobi was flavorless and bland. No spice or kick to it at all. And I’m not saying that it was supposed to be spicy….it was just bland. It was $20 and I threw out half of it because I just made something else.

What happened to this place! The food used to be amazing. I went to pick up a to-go order of chicken madras and it came with half a serving of rice, not even enough to cover a single order. This single meal cost me $25 when all said and done. When eating I found a short hair in the madras, this happens, but upon stirring the madras I also found a thick beard hair with split ends. Thoroughly grossed out. I don’t think I’ll be returning unfortunately.
Unfortunately this is no longer the Natraj originally run by a local family for a generation. The new owners are grifting off the previous popularity but the food is watered down, not the same as pictured/described on the menu, and the staff treat you as if you're bothering them to want to eat there. Original owners would be mortified to see what its become. Would avoid at all costs, really disappointed, will need to find a new go to place for Indian.

It was Diwali and I ordered a meal to be picked up at 5pm. I arrived and was told my order was already picked up. He said that he couldn’t do anything about it and that maybe it was my relatives who picked up the order. He refused to believe me. . 30 minutes later the other customer returned to say that he was given the wrong order. The restaurant manager was rude and refused to acknowledge the issue and did not feel inclined to listen to me. I will never go back. My family and friends were waiting to celebrate Diwali which the manager did not even acknowledge. I could not believe that he accused me of trying to scam the restaurant and took zero accountability for his error.
Biryani was not biryani at all. It was just a fried rice with some hot sauce. No flavor at all. It’s price and it’s quality NO NO.
