Recensioni di Du-par’s Restaurant Los Angeles
I like donuts that are cakey and not oily Krispy Kreme style, so I really enjoyed this one.
Fun hip take on your usual donuts. Service was very friendly and they had samples too. My faves were the old fashioned and huckleberry but they had a lot of other flavors too. I’m very partial to traditional donuts that are light and yeasty but these are good enough to make an exception. Not sure how their coffee is but these are def the type of donuts that pair really well with a hot cup. Tried a few more of their flavor since and upgrading my review. They’re fantastic.
Overall: 9/10 Best coffee spot around Farmers market / The Grove area. I tried 'em all. Coffee: 8/10. Very good cappucino. It's a bit acidic and sour, but surprisingly very tasteful. Seems like a medium roast. It's on the same level as Blue Bottle cappucino, which is my favorite in LA. They have milk options as well. Price: 9/10. It's $5 for the small cappucino, which is expensive but $1 cheaper than Blue Bottle cappucino. Same quality. Service: 10/10. Very friendly. Good vibes. They accommodated me two minutes before they closed. Kudos! Interior: 7/10. Nothing special. It's a coffee corner, not a large coffee place. They have a few seats outside. Interior design is there (as it can be at this small place). They also sell nice-looking doughnuts, which I didn't try. But it seems like a good variety.
Their donuts are amazing. Different than a pink box type of place. More consistent with a cake donut. I strongly recommend eating them fresh. They are at their best recently out of the oven. But can't go wrong even if enjoyed hours later. The location has parking but you need to remember to validate. Butter and salt is their most popular option for a reason.
Best doughnuts I’ve ever had. I honestly can’t wait to come back to Cali to eat here again. The cookie dough was probably my favorite if I had to choose but it’s a tough call because they are all amazing! The Girl Scout cookie flavors are all delicious. Lemon curd is mouthwatering. The eggs Benedict doughnut absolutely blew my mind! So much more than a cool concept; it delivers a full brunch experience inside a doughnut. The Vietnamese iced coffee was so strong and tasty. Just the perfect way to start a day
Amazing doughnuts! They have a good variety of unique flavours. The doughnuts are incredibly fresh and taste incredible. Definitely one of the best doughnuts that I’ve ever tried. Our favourite of the ones we tried was the “Choc A Lot”, but they are all great!
Favorite doughnut place iN LA!! My only complaint is that I wish they were bigger. They’re normal sized but I’m a fan of giant doughnuts - these doughnuts are fluffy and soft inside and melts inside your mouth. I had the strawberries and cream doughnut and my friend had the huckleberry cake doughnut. The strawberries and cream had a sweet creamy filling and overall They’re pretty quality. I also had a matcha iced latte which was good as well. Sidecar is also a bit more on the pricier side, but the doughnuts are tasty. I recommend coming here if you’re visiting LA and looking for doughnut places!!
They offer both cake and raised doughnuts. Some are more simple, some fancy. They have all fashioned ones too. Enjoy!
look-to everyone who sees the reviews saying people are mad they had to wait a few minutes-this is the reality of donuts of this calibar-of any food of this calibar-When you order a burger and fries and its ready in a few minutes vs say 10-15, what does this tell you? Do you notice the quality change? See my other reviews from around the world on donut places-This are the best donuts in the world. For a time it was District in the south(and vegas) but this place has mastered every flavor and texture of dough and batter to produce what is almost totally different items every time you bite into one. You cant go wrong but i recommend bring people to share with. If you dont like cake doughnuts-get a cake doughnut and same way for the yeast raised. Great experience here and i cant believe they maintain this quality across multiple locations.
We ordered it to go but these donuts were really good. I was a bit shocked by the price but they were so bouncy and soft, the flavors were fun, I have no complaints. We got a dozen.
Jose is absolutely the best! Visited with my family and we were treated with the best in service! Jose is attentive and prompt, he checked in for our drink order after we were seated. Two hot coffees an ice tea and an Arnold Palmer arrived quickly. Our chicken pot pies were piping hot an he warned us about left overs! The avo bacon cheese omelette was made perfectly! Ideal for small and big groups, definitely a must for anyone visiting Los Angeles. UPDATE DEC 22 2025 - Food is still great, service not so much. Came on a slow Monday, mid holiday. Restaurant had two waiters for the entire place, we waited quite a bit for our banana short stack pancakes. Camille was super nice and apologetic, food was great. Lack of proper service will make me think twice before visiting. We have visited three times this year, this was not the norm.
Quite an aesthetic and cozy diner with both indoor and outdoor seatings. The place is pretty huge and spacious, and the interior is well decorated and maintained as well. The place is quite clean and has good music. During busy hours it does get a bit loud. The prices were good, and the portions were quite generous as well, the chicken pot pie was freshly made and smoking hot. The chicken sandwiches were also amazing with huge portions. Overall, had a great time here. However, the service could be slightly improved. Outside it said wait to be seated but we stood in the sun for a while and no one came to us, and kept us waiting while the cashier was serving other customers, it felt a bit understaffed. Even during ordering or while eating there was no staff outside so we had to wait for someone to come out if we needed anything. But other than that. Definitely worth checking the place out, would recommend.
Du-par’s never disappoints! The food is classic and delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is always warm and friendly. It’s got that old-school 1930s charm that makes the place feel extra special. The line can get pretty big on weekends, but it’s totally worth the wait. Always a favorite!
The farmers market has many stalls to view, so after walking a bit, Du-Pars restaurant is the perfect place to relax - before doing more. They have inside as well as outside seating. We came late in the evening for a slice of pie- with our dog. They had closed the outside sitting area, but made a table with extra space that could accommodate our pooch - a 95 lb doog, not insignificant. The food and service were great I had "the best Bread Pudding" and it lived up to their brag. The only down side was the parking is either free (with validation) or expensive....and only good for about 90 minutes of free parking.
My wife and I *love* Dupar’s! When people ask, I tell them that they make “the best pancakes in the world” and once again, I can confirm this by this morning’s visit, it’s true. The story of Dupar’s is also sweet. It’s owned by a former waitress who took it over in 2018. There’s a recent story that they’re struggling to stay afloat since Covid and the recent fires in LA. I certainly hope that people will support it because it’s an LA treasure and has been here for a long time. It’s one of the few reasons we make the trek into the city nowadays. Plus, a visit to the Farmer’s Market after a meal is always fun.
Du-Par’s serves a great breakfast—their pancakes really are some of the best you could eat! Especially love, the fact that you can get both maple and blueberry syrup— paired with crispy bacon I got everything I could ask for! Coffee was hot good and plentiful. Service was fantastic. Alex got a mug— and we all agreed to be back soon! I got there on a Sunday morning at 10 AM and had no wait for a boots for four. When I left at 11:30 there was a line! This is a proper Southern California experience that is highly recommended!! it’s nice to take a walk through farmers market after breakfast in the Grove just seems to keep getting better.
Our first time here and From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and vibrant, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. As we were greeted by the friendly staff, I could already sense that we were in for something special. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations that truly showcased the restaurant's commitment to authenticity. It was clear that they took pride in their craft, and their enthusiasm was contagious. My wife and I appreciated how they took the time to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another pinche table. Now, let’s talk about the food. Each dish that arrived at our table was so delicious, bursting with flavor!! It was as if the chef had poured their heart and soul into every recipe. From the first bite, I was amazed by the authenticity of the flavors; it was clear that fresh, quality ingredients were at the forefront of every dish. My kids, usually picky eaters, couldn't get enough of the delicious breakfast, and it was heartwarming to see them enjoy their meals as much as we did. The entire experience felt like a celebration of culture and family, which resonated deeply with us. I truly feel we have found our new go-to spot for family dining. I left with a full belly and a heart full of gratitude. We will definitely be back!!!

Sidecar Doughnuts is a cool little boutique donut and coffee shop with specialty doughnuts. I ordered the Cookies and Creme Donut which was delicious. Also great and friendly service.
April 2025: I came back to try a seasonal donut - the yeasty Lavender and honey bee donut. Made with brioche dough. Yum. A $5 donut that I enjoyed thoroughly. Sprinkled with bee pollen. My friend hated her Vietnamese coffee though. She said the condensed milk was gross. *shrugs* July 2024: I stumbled upon this donut shop in Beverly Grove, and let me tell you, the blueberry pancake donut absolutely knocked my socks off! I decided to visit right at the end of the day, just before closing, and even then, it was still incredibly delicious.
I got the Maple Bacon Donut, which had a great maple flavor, but not much bacon on it at all. The staff greeted everyone who walked in the door. They had samples available. Small location inside, but had some available chairs and tables outside. Very clean location. It is more on the expensive side for donuts, but it's also because they are specialty donuts, not the typical breakfast donut shop
Great donuts with really unique flavors and cute packaging. Got the basil eggs Benedict which was delicious - had a poached egg, basil hollandaise and ham!!! Definitely a must have there. Also ordered two of their fall seasonal flavors - sage apple pie (really didn’t like it, sage flavor was overpowering but my partner loved it) and pumpkin cheesecake (not overpowering pumpkin spice flavor, very moist). Their seasonable drink, the black fog milk oat tea, was great as well. The Fairfax location is small so it only fit a few customers at a time and the acoustics make it difficult to hear/speak to staff. But they have an outdoor pickup window so you don’t have to stay inside.
Have come to this location twice and tried about 5 different flavors. The line moves quickly, they are able to do decaf espresso beverages and have amazingly tasty cake donuts. This is one of the few locations where the cake donuts almost outshine the yeasted rise ones. My favorite flavors so far are probably the huckleberry as well as the seasonal flavors of Meyer lemon and passion fruit pavlova if you are feeling especially decadent and sinful. The only reason they did not get 5 stars from me is that the donuts are a bit on the pricey size averaging about $4 each. I do recommend ordering online through their website - you can avoid any line and the wait by doing so and they have very clear pictures available for you to peruse.
The restaurant is such a cute place 😍 ❤️ loved the ambiance, it's super cozy. The food was good & the custumer service was great! We went the weekend after Christmas so it was super busy so we did have a long wait; plus they only had one cook at the time until another one came through to save the day! 🙌✨️
Nice place by the Grove market. Veggie burger was nice, pancakes were nice and fluffy, they served them floating in butter and that was a little off putting for me. I asked for real maple syrup and I was shocked when they charged $5 for it! So overall my pancakes costed $27 which is the most expensive pancakes I ever had.
Du-par’s Bakery is a solid spot if you’re looking for classic baked goods and diner-style comfort food. The pastries and pies are fresh, and the portions are generous. I tried the blueberry pie and a maple bar—both were excellent, with rich flavor and good texture. The atmosphere feels like an old-school diner, which adds to the charm. Service was decent—nothing outstanding, but polite and efficient. Prices are a little high, but not unreasonable for the portion size and location. Overall, a good place to stop for a treat or a casual breakfast. I’d definitely come back, especially for the baked goods.
I visited Du-Pars for breakfast. They have a nice outdoor section as well as an indoor section. The food is good. The servers are nice. However, it’s a very popular restaurant and they are very busy so there is a busy vibe. I didn’t feel rushed or anything, the place just felt busy. In my opinion, it is kind of pricey for breakfast food , but the portions are big. The farmers market parking lot has free validation for 90 minutes and there is also a different parking structure that’s connected to the Grove that does not accept validation from the farmers market restaurants.

Sidecar has some pretty solid donuts. I would call them pastries over donuts though. I was excited for this Apple Pan collab donut with Sidecar and had it yesterday. It was not good at all. No flavor really. No taste. Barely any sweetness. I don’t really get it. If they put a regular Sidecar donut like an Old Fashioned or glazed donut with Apple Pans apple pie it would be so delicious. We got neither with this donut. The worst part is I bought 2 of them. $12 down the drain. I could’ve got a dozen donuts from a hole in the wall donut shop for $12 and been so much happier. Disappointing
I love Sidecar donuts and have been coming here for years. For some reason I’ve experienced a decline when the customer service at this location. To clarify I am not saying each employee has horrible customer service at this location because some are outstanding everytime. When I do have a positive experience I leave a positive review. Today I received an email saying the Berry Parfait Donut was leaving soon so I went to go try it because I hadn’t tried it yet. My husband and I walk in, no one greeted us, and both employees stayed silent the whole entire time. Even when I asked for my donut he just grabbed it boxed it up and checked me out with out saying one word and looked extremely annoyed that he “had to help us” As you can tell in the photo the donut was not made right and was not made with of love, had no Berry flavor and taste dry and overcooked. The person that “helped” is said his name was Mario. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or what? And the other gentleman working alongside Mario was no better, he had in both AirPods and didn’t acknowledge us at all. The whole visit this morning was very disappointing and was a rude and unforgettable experience. I may just start going to a different location because they just wasn’t cool.
I was reluctant to get coffee at a donut shop but they have a proper menu and machine so I went for my usually flat white. The outcome is an extremely short one, filling just two thirds of a 6oz cup. The latte art was a small circle of foam that I saw the barista scooping out of the jug and added to the coffee. It's just not the same level of coffee that you would get from a specialty shop. As for donuts, I never liked donuts but I tried two. They were ok, did not change my mind.

If you're looking to pay $6 for a mediocre donut l, this is your place. The donuts are unique creations. I couldn't actually find one that looked good to be honest, but my teenage daughter thought this place had a amazing donuts.
I'm going to start by saying this really bad experience took place on a Holliday. By the time we reach the front door on a 2 hours waiting line, they runout of Turkey,...but we're already here,So,we moved ahead. They served our soup cold 🥶 And so was the mush potatoes 🥔 The green beans were still on the vain Practically uncooked.. And a piece of bacon jumped on the plate of the only guess who doesn't eat pork... A complete disaster!!! Obviously I request the supervisor. Regardless the fact of his good intentions, certainly NOT ENOUGH- According to the etiquette... NOT RECOMMENDED ON A HOLLIDAY
I was excited to try brunch here. The restaurant has a pleasant, old-school charm that I loved. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich, and my husband had the French toast. Unfortunately, the Monte Cristo was dry, lacking flavor, and the turkey was also dry. I had requested no cheese, but it appeared to have some. The sandwich came with fries, which were average, though the jelly was good. The orange juice was excellent. The French toast was also dry and bland. Service was great, prices were reasonable, but the food was disappointing.
