Recensioni di Gulp Los Angeles
Been going to Gulp almost every Sunday for Eagles games, and it's a great spot. They have games on all throughout the place, and let us watch the Birds game with the sound on. Food and cocktails are great. $4 mimosas on Sundays. Only complaints are it's a little pricey when you are hanging out for several hours to watch a football game, so some more specials would be nice, but overall a big fan of the place.
Located across the street from a nice park, very clean with indoor and outdoor seating. TV for outside diners also. Food is good and the staff is very attentive. Good happy hour also. Prices are very reasonable. Plenty of parking on the streets.
Gulp is my favorite neighborhood spot for good food and good service. They are dog friendly which is greatly appreciated as well. The outdoor seating is awesome and they always have umbrellas for shade as well as heaters if it's cold. The beer and wine selection is good as well.
Incredible! A great local gem right here in P V. Great food and an even better staff. I don’t know about “‘you”, but speaking for my family and friends we love going to a restaurant where they remember you and are glad to see you as well. We really appreciated Gulp during the darkest days of the Pandemic and how hard Al and everyone worked to keep going!
I love this place, we always stop in before heading to LAX, to watch games grab great beer and a burger
Love the Gulp. We've been here several times and Love the atmosphere. Outside seating and heat lamps make for an enjoyable time. The Buffalo cauliflower is great. We tried something new tonight and had the baked Cajun Mac and Cheese. A tangy Mac and cheese with chicken and andule sausage. The beer selection is always good. Our go to place with good food, drinks and service.
We went here for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Parking on the street was easy to find. We ate outside as we have a dog and were delighted to see they offer a puppy menu. We had the deviled eggs which were zesty and yummy. The burger was delicious and our server checked on us throughout the meal. We will be back!
Driving up felt like I was entering a hallmark movie! Nice sports bar with plenty of seating inside and in the patio. J was an awesome Bartender. Didn't get to try the food but the friendly patrons there highly recommend the gulp burger and drink combo. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely be back.
We like the vibes here, the area is very chilled, near a cute park and not a lot of traffic passing by. We go there to watch games, they always have few screens, both inside and outside. Food is good, the portions are very generous and the drinks tasty.
Nice ambience here, especially when sitting outdoors. Normally a quiet area (they do occasionally have concerts at the adjacent park). Staff is normally pretty good. Not a big beer selection but it's still a quality selection. The food is pretty good as well and not outrageously priced. Definitely a solid once a week spot for lunch.
The restaurant is clean and airy. Its definitely a little hidden gem. There is happy hour and lunch specials. The menu is mostly American food with a hint of Asian influence. I opted for a burger with everything on it. Sooo good!! Our server, Sandoval, was super sweet! He was patient with our table and brought everything in a timely manner.
My review is limited because I met friends for drinks only; although the restaurant does have a good size bar menu. Was there on a Saturday & the place was crowded. Yet the service was correct & on point! Very pleasant as well. Brew-Pub sits on the Playa Vista park so in nicer weather it would be pleasant to sit outside on their patio. There is a list of craft beers which change regularly, with a good variety. Additionally there are craft cocktails. I had a spectacular martini. Street parking is limited & don't know if there is paid parking structure on the park.
Sat at the bar to watch a baseball game. The young man behind the bar was having trouble with the remote but painstakingly finally got the TV to the right channel. I really appreciated him going out of his way to take care of me. He recommended the spicy seafood curry noodle bowl. It was fantastic! Great spice, creamy sauce, fresh seafood. Great recommendation and service. Nice selection of beers. Location was clean, people were friendly, and the food did not disappoint.
I'm a sucker for outdoor seating in good weather and a chill atmosphere so this place checked all the boxes!
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and beers here. They have a Happy Hour 3pm-6pm every day, with different specials each day. Friday included $5 for all beers, and we enjoyed 3 chicken tacos for $9.50 and nachos for $10 (vegetarian). Both were excellent! I appreciated that they had stone double hazy ipa and the hop 10 hazy as options here. Great vibe and great service!
We ordered the burrito of Del Rey with tater tots to go. The burrito is delicious with bacon, beans, and guac. Tater tots still held the crunchy texture when we got home (10 mins walk). Served with ketchup, green and red salsa. Yummy!
Leah (Lia?) was an excellent and thoughtful host, helping us reserve a perfect table for watching the NBA Finals last minute. It's a good restaurant/bar for watching sports. Mac N Cheese is cajun-style, it was rich and really good. Didn't skimp out on meat. Vibes are great.
Dim-lit ,quaint, but lively for a Monday evening. Great service and an incredibly good beer selection. 30+ go-to taps and 10 rotating house-choice taps available. As well as full service bar and wine. Cheap flights if your in the mood to sample from the extensive list! Some of the best service around!! Great place for a bite to eat and a drink with Friends or a decent spot to have a late-night date ! Great park just outside the bar to take a stroll thru after a drink!

I only came for the Happy Hour and was happy with the service and menu selection. Apparently you get only one choice of beer for happy hour price.
The food and atmosphere was great. The server did mess up or order not once but twice. I don't know if she was new or not but the order was taken care of and the right order as given to us at the end without any hesitation. The ambiance was very nice and this is a spot that I wo to kd definitely visit again.

I love this place so much, the only thing I'll say as constructive criticism is that their menu feels too upscale for the people they have there. They have people who stop in for games and to chat with friends so they need items that reflect this-tapas style, small plates, quick bites, etc. affordable prices. Ex.-my friends and I would get 2 $7 plates instead of one $12 appetizer plate Update: 2/25/22 we visit as regulars. Happy hour is great as usual. Today we got the meatloaf and it was cracked and dry as if it were frozen and reheated multiple times. I took maybe two bites and told our waiter and we were still charged $20 for the bland, stale plate. A little disappointed as we’ve been regulars for weeks Over the few months and coming occasionally over the years
Found this place while trying to kill time before a dinner reservation. It's cute and homey. Very European with a neighborhood feel. But I wouldn't exactly call this place a WINE bar. They've got a handful (think 10-15 total whites + reds) of mediocre selections by the glass that were all for the most part less than impressive. My friend and I both ordered reds. She got a Cab and I got something Italian. They both came out with a generous pour which was nice but they also came out at very different temperatures? Hers was almost too warm to even call room temperature. Mine was fine and I enjoyed it. Would I stop by again in an pinch? Sure. Would I seek it out? Not really.
Really good spicy edamame. Burger was juicy and well cooked. Really good crunchy fries and give you a very generous portion! Would definitely go back... I hear from others the the warm cookie sundae is really bomb as well! Good local place to grab some good dinner with a friend or a date.
Had a great time at Gulp with the wife. We enjoyed great food and brews. They have an eclectic section of suds from close by and afar... The wait staff was outstanding! They knew their selections off top of their heads and made great recommendations. Ate one of the best Brussels sprouts I ever had!
Everything was fine. Not amazing, but good. I had the burger, which was "good", but the patty was almost certainly from a restaurant supplier. But everyone else really enjoyed their meal.
They were out of three dishes that our party of 11 wanted, but the burgers that we got instead were very tasty
The restaurant is at the corner of a quiet strip mall at the boundary of a park/courtyard surrounded by condos. I think it caters to LMU students. There are plenty of 2hrs parking around the courtyard. We had their burgers and to my surprise they were very tasty. The beer selection was decent too. I would go back
Dec 2021: I liked the outdoor but covered dining option. LA prices for food. Good tasting food. Range of options. Some portions bigger than others. Rotating menu of beers but out of stock of many options on that list. Didn't feel rushed. Server checked on us often. Street parking. Overall good experience. March 2023: super friendly and accommodating with our toddler and everything that comes with that - stroller, kids menu, spills, noise, and movement. Very patient waiter who checked in often despite the busyness of a Sunday afternoon/early evening. Ate inside. It was loud but manageable. Sports projected on televisions all around.
Gulp Restaurant & Brew Co is a remarkable spot that leaves a lasting impression with its exceptional services and inviting ambiance. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere exudes warmth and professionalism, making it an ideal place for gatherings or quiet meals. Their attention to detail, both in service and presentation, enhances the overall experience. Whether you're there to enjoy their crafted brews or indulge in their delightful menu, the combination of quality and comfort makes it a place worth revisiting.
Very few patrons at 6pm, Very loud music, Very good food with very large portions!
I'm keeping my rating at four stars because I believe that the quality of the food is slightly above normal but the pricing is reasonable for what is given. Much of the food originates from a hybrid style of cooking. I personally like this type of creativity yet for some folks it might be too complicated for their taste. Overall very good vibes and food.
Great Gastropub food. Wife got the ahi stack and a rose. I got the chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries.
Great items on their $7 happy hour deals in addition to the rest of the menu. Solid rotation of beers as well. Not too big of a place so crowded enough to where you didn't have to talk loud to be heard.

Food wasnt great. Different french fry styles came with different dishes, didnt understand that. Drinks were just ok. Beer list and prices were good though. Would recommend for cheap outing but not for foodies.
Not having even eaten here yet they open late 12 noon at least open at 11 / 11:30 is common for establishments such as this...more people are taking earlier lunches now ijs
Good service, bad food. The Classic burger that I ate last week could've been served at your local middle school cafeteria. It was that bad. The restaurant has lots of seating, including out doors, and is not very crowded. Go for drinks, skip the food.
The food was good but our overall experience was lacking. We went on a Wednesday for lunch so it was not very busy at all which was nice. The only part of our experience that wasn’t great was that our waitress took our drink order, then our food order and then only came back to bring us our food and the check. She never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. I had to flag her down to get us more drinks.
I enjoyed my cauliflower appetizer and the outdoor patio dining. Chinese chicken salad and the pretzel knots were fresh but lacked flavor. Disappointing. Discovered ample free street parking west of the restaurant. Pleasantly surprised. Our server was friendly and attentive.
Nice restaurant in a nice location. Friendly staff. The food and cocktail menu is quite narrow. This would be the only thing preventing me returning. Also the cocktail prices are quite steep, like NYC hotel bar kind of steep. Seems they know it too as the prices aren't on the menu. 🤷🏻♂️ It's worth a visit if you are in the area. A burger meal for two and a couple drinks plus tip cost me 100 bucks. (Ouch)
Location was awesome. Was really excited to try this place. Food was decent. Fatty steak, asked for no Pico and got extra Pico instead. Waitress seemed preoccupied, overheard her having a harsh discussion with a male coworker. We asked about sides, she didn't offer anything but salad then was just short with everything we asked like we were bothering her. We get our food and she never comes back to check on us. No refills, no second drinks in general. We then see her telling her coworkers she loves them and walks out and leaves. We sat over 15 minutes waiting for someone to bring the check. No one ever asked how our food was or if we wanted another drink. I don't live in the area so I won't be back but I was really hoping to leave an awesome review. Hopefully someone else has a better experience and hopefully that server was just having a bad day.
Food is not as good as before. Salt & pepper calamari should be called skinny fries with 4-5 calamari.

Do not go to this place on the weekend before 2pm. They only serve their brunch menu until then. Also, brew is in your name. You have to do a better job at keeping your tap list up to date. People in the 21st century want to know what you have and what they are drinking even when not sitting at the bar. And beer descriptions written on taps in blue painters tape are not helpful in making things legible for patrons or employees.

I really want to like this spot but it's just a bit uptight. Of course it's in sleepy Playa Vista but management and staff make you feel like fun is not allowed. It's a sports bar after all! Maybe they are stressed out but better idea is to loosen up a bit and let the people eat wings and cheer for their teams.
I’ve eaten here twice, first time got some appetizers and the steak and it all was quite good. Last night I went in again and got the burger. It was, and I cannot overstate this enough, the worst burger I have had in /years/. A flat, dry, flavorless puck of a patty for $16. No discount offered even after complaining to the waitress about it. Fast food burgers are of a better quality than what they serve here.
Friendly staff but food average at best. Burger completely bland. No desserts of any kind??
Stopped for a quick bite and a beer. The chicken tenders are straight out of a frozen bag and heated up…. Which is pathetic because chicken tenders are probably the easiest dish to actually make by hand, not to mention when you go out to eat anything you would hope you’re not being served a cheap pre-made version of the meal. A restaurant that uses frozen chicken tenders is ridiculous and the reason I am giving it one star. The service was fine and the beer is cold, definitely recommend not eating here though. Plenty of other restaurants nearby that don’t use cheap frozen food. Hope this helps
While the staff demonstrated kindness, our dining experience fell short. The wings were over-fried, lacking meat; burger and steak were dry, fries were peculiar. My mimosa was enjoyable, but the glass emitted a fishy odor, indicating inadequate cleaning. The absence of vegetarian/vegan options was disappointing. Got 3 plates and spent $85+
Very disappointed, restaurant wasn’t even busy. Medium well burger is completely uneatable. Fries half cooked. Wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here.
