My gf and I come here every morning for breakfast, they have the best donuts and kolaches in Lbk!!

Best in central Lubbock. The owners show up early to bring the early birds some amazing doughnuts. I only live a block away and I smell that place everyday. They always have a line and well it's worth the short wait. You can always walk in and order. That building has been there for over 59 years before city doughnuts it use to be a peanut parfait and peanut brittle factory. Highly recommend them and are very reasonable freshly made everyday

Amazeballs!!! Friendly, convenient ( i live a block away) fast and fresh donuts and their raspberry filled doughnuts are the bomb. That building they are in use to be a peanut brittle factory. Instead of smelling PB i now smell doughnuts. Ahhhh i love it

Fantastic donuts. I love the apple fritter and the kolaches. They have a $4 minimum for using a credit or debit card. If it's less than $4, they require cash.

Lovely family run place here. Everything is well made and decently priced. I got a few kolaches and a mix of donuts for myself and my brother, turned on the Keurig and it was a good morning. Definitely recommend and next time will be back for their croissants.

City Donut is, without a doubt, the best donut in Lubbock. Period. We have several donut shops near our house, but we insist on driving 4-5 miles to get our donuts and kolaches at City Donut. Their donuts are generously frosted without being too decadent. My kids and wife like their strawberry and white frosted sprinkles. I prefer their chocolate donuts because they are exceptional. The large kolaches with sausage and cheese are very tasty and filling. The breading is out of this world. The owners are super friendly and hard-working. I highly recommend you get your donuts and kolaches from City. You will not be disappointed.

By far the best donut shop in Lubbock, Texas. Don't even bother eating a bear claw or cinnamon roll from anywhere else. They also offer a variety of seasonal and specialty donuts, like pumpkin cake. Made fresh daily.

O My GOSH!! I have not had donuts this good in LONG time. Walking I was taken back to a donut shop from my childhood, the smell the atmosphere, WOW. The donuts are big and wonderful!! The staff is wonderful, friendly and great service. Everyone should do themselves a favor and make the stop. No matter where you are in Lubbock it’s worth the trip to 19th st.

We recently went on a donut tour in Lubbock. Don't get me wrong all donuts were good. All have something we like and didn't, city donuts by far are my favorite the best texture nice and chewy. Sweetness just right be sure to go early they close at 1 but by 10am the selection was limited. You will not regret! Kim is a fellow foodie and will be releasing some awesome flavors follow their Instagram page!

Just tried their cake donuts and WOW I've had so many different cake donuts but they are just so dense and crumbly. These are by far what you would call a cake donut so soft and NOT dry, loved them. The cinnamon twist is an other fav of ours, they are so soft and chewy. They stay for a while as well, we can't eat all that we get in one sitting so a couple of hours later they are still soft. Kim the owner was super friendly and nice. Definitely don't pass up this small shop!!!

ONE chocolate covered long John is all that it takes for a full meal deal. The icing…….the absolute best! The owners…….very friendly. You’re missing out if you go anywhere else. Me and my family came here today for an Easter treat. The cashier up front was very busy, but still really friendly. She recommended some really good donuts. I bought an oreo, strawberry filled, lemon filled, blueberry cake, and a long maple. Man, these are good donuts. I'm not really a donut fan honestly, but these scratched that donut itch I get a few times a year. They were fresh, some were perfectly dense, others were light and chewy (my favorite). If you want a good donut, go here. My wife being a self named "expert donut enjoyer" raved about them as well. So that's all the approval you really need.

To be honest, my boyfriend and I frequent this place almost everyday! Not only is the quality of the donut consistent; their customer service is always friendly and speedy. The donuts are fresh and perfectly soft. This family run shop is the real deal! I never go anywhere else in Lubbock!

Ms. K is so sweet and patient, every time I come by for lunch she welcomes me with a big smile and the best customer service I’ve seen. My brother and I come by so often she asks “how many kolaches” because we love City Donut’s kolaches. I got the chocolate croissant, lemon blueberry fritter, and the powdered donut with strawberry and cream cheese. Each were amazing in their own way. I will be back.

This place is definitely worth the hype! Everything was really fresh and the donuts were soft. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake donut and the chocolate croissant, super tasty! I went at 11am and there was still plenty to pick from, but some things were sold out so I'd recommend going earlier if you want something in particular.

Depends on what you are getting most everything has been really good, however the service is VERY SLOW. Then when people want to walk up to the drive thru just slows it down even more.

They will not let you use your debit card unless you spend $5, and it doesn't look well kept on the inside. Donuts and kolaches were good, but I won't make it a point to go here again.

Not impressed. This is the first "donut shop" I've encountered, in my 30+ years over the road, that doesn't allow people to sit inside. The coffee is only average, and the glazed donuts about the same. Long live Mr. Twister (Krispy Kreme)!

All of their prices have sky rocketed as well as the service being worse. Kolaches have come out cold everytime. Used to be better.

I used to come here for the low prices and great kolaches. However in recent months the prices have increased but the quality steadily declines. I now get served cold kolaches at an unreasonable price. Really upsetting considering I used to speak so highly of the place.

The pastries are delicious, however service is extremely slow and impersonal. Seemingly assuming that there are no other donut shops to choose from. Property and drive-thru setup need to be revamped and updated. Several customers got irritated and drove away while I was waiting.

Donuts were just ok, a little more on the disliked side that the like side. Paid $6.50 for half a dozen mixed. Pretty pricy coming from a hole in the wall shop that sells ok donuts. Will not be returning. To top it off, my donuts came in a bag not a box. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give it a 3
