Love it recomended good bive, good music, good food. Definitely will be back.
"The drinks and food were so delicious. I came here to celebrate my bestie's birthday, and she loved the aesthetics. Everything was a 10. Sabi was a pleasure to have; he was very attentive, and the drinks were 10 out of 10. I would definitely come back here with others."
My SO and I tried this new place tonight (Saturday evening), and I'm so glad we did! Phenomenal drinks and food; pricey but worth it. We didn't expect a DJ when we came, but there he was. It was a little too loud at the time, but he was playing good dance music nonetheless. I was happy to learn that Barquila becomes a dance club later because I've been craving a local place to go dancing for quite some time. I definitely plan to go again!!
Our first date night since the lockdown (1.5 yrs) and it was amazing! The ambiance- amazing; food- absolutely delicious; service staff- friendly and great personality. The serving sizes are perfect for a couple to get a little tasting variety and not get too full. The outdoor dining option provided us with a comfortable place to eat. This place is definitely worth it.
Awesome little nightclub! Amazing food, amazing staff. Always have a great time there. Wednesday night stay do karaoke way under-utilised. You could sing all your songs if you like
Great experience! The cocktails were delicious and strong worth the price . Bartender Jose was extremely attentive. The tapas menu is a great selection of small plates yet delicious and filling. The owner mike made sure all the customers where taken care of in a timely fashion. Definitely returning!!
The drinks and food was excellent. The bartender was super friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back !
Barquilla was an amazing experience. I am traveling visiting family and we decided to have a small dinner and drinks. The service was amazing ! Would recommend 100% . Our waitress Bella had an amazing enthusiasm the whole time . After a couple of drinks in she offered us free shots . She was hands on and was mindful of us the whole time . 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming back when visiting again .
My friends and I came here yesterday and we loved it! The staff was friendly and attentive, the appetizers were delicious, and the music was poppin!! The drinks are the best I’ve had in a long time and the presentation makes them that much better. The spicy margarita and feeding the flamingo were my favorite!
The cutest place ever!!! Super fun. The atmosphere is amazing. The best spot for ladies night! All their drinks are insane. Food is delicious and they have outdoor hookah too! Definitely worth it!
Really cute and intimate. The drinks were a bit pricey, but very good. Tha bartender was very nice. I ordered the chicken empenadas, not a fan of them. The jungle experience was really good and strong. I liked the fact they infuse their liquors themselves. Reminded me of a speakeasy/bar in Miami... Will be back to try other items on the menu🙌🏾
Went here with a few girlfriends for dinner on Saturday night. Absolutely LOVE this place! The ambiance is amazing. The drinks and food are delicious, so worth the experience. The service was excellent. Small spot, so reservations are a must. 10/10 recommend!
I went there twice and both times I had so much fun!!!! The atmosphere is dope, it’s definitely the Miami vibes in NY! the drinks are delicious and the food is amazing! Adorable, cozy and cute place, with fun DJs on weekends... my favorite new spot - highly recommended!!
Had a great experience at Barquila! The atmosphere and staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming. This place is great for special occasions or just a fun night out. Great music on the weekends! Definitely recommend people to check out this local bar/restaurant in Westchester!
So let me just say this place is amazing! The food is on point, and so is the vibe! They have Dj’s Thursday thru the weekend ☺️. This is also a great date spot 😉. This has become my go to favorite spot for so many reasons, so do yourself a favor and don’t pass this place up. It Music ✔️ Great food ✔️ Delish and one of a kind drinks ✔️ Instagram worthy walls ✔️✔️✔️✔️
All right, let's sum it up: great drinks, great food and great vibes. Bruna's drinks are out of this world. Bruno is in mars, but Bruna is on a whole other universe.
We absolutely love this place! I came here on a Saturday night to grab some drinks with my sister. We were totally in love with their drinks and tapas. super cute drinks and the food was delicious. We had the Brussels, birria tacos, and the lamb chops.
Food is amazing and the drinks are out of this world (especially the caipirinha) and bruna is an amazing bartender she definitely knows what she is doing
mike made sure my best friends bday brunch party was taken care of the entire experience and we all enjoyed our time, the food, and especially the drinks 1000/10 would definitely return on my own just for a drink simply off the vibe and atmosphere of the place alone
What a fantastic place - good vibe reminds me of a place in Miami! We went and celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday with 21 people - all age ranges - from 6 to 80! We had a blast. Service was impeccable and food was fantastic. They really went above and beyond to make it a perfect celebration. They played music and we all danced. I would highly recommend this place! The bartenders are spot on with their drinks and it is a fun atmosphere - check it out!!!
I've been here twice-- once on a weekday and the other on a weekend; I gotta say, it's pretty a lit spot! The DJ makes you wanna groove, there's really cute decor to take pics with, everyone's vibing, and the drinks are deliciously strong. Ozzy has an artistic expertise in his bartending service that needs to be experienced. He took care of us and made sure we enjoyed every drop of our drinks. I usually start to feel sick if I have 3+ drinks but the drinks he made settled so well that I didn't even notice I ordered that many lol!
This is my second time in Barquila and can’t wait to come back! We ordered few cocktails and appetizers, chips and guacamole and fried cauliflower both were great, especially the fried cauliflower YUM! Cool ambiance, great service. Drinks taste and presentation were amazing, highly recommended!!!
It was my first time visiting this restaurant and it won’t be my last. The waitress was very attentive and always making sure that we were comfortable. The food was really good and the sangria as well. Ps: The owner and staff are Turkish if you know what I mean….service at its finest
The food is consistently excellent and for a suburban town, the atmosphere is reminiscent of a lively city lounge.
Loved Bruna!! He music was great and very friendly service. Made us feel at home. The food was bomb
✨ Perfect date spot. This isn’t a big-crowd type of place, it’s more of a date night with your boo or to catch a bougie type vibe with your 2–6 besties. Perfect date-night drink spot + hookah lounge! Music is popping, yes it’s loud at night, but if you’re not trying to catch a fun, live & yet intimate type of setting…. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but totally worth it if you want a cute, fun, live vibe with your date. We skipped the food and just had four drinks and hookah, and everything hit the spot. The space is small and intimate, and the music was popping on Saturday night. Loved the energy with my date will definitely be back ✨
The drinks here are absolutely stunning, the food is *chefs kiss* we had the lobster croquettes, the Brussels sprouts and the steak bruschetta. Honestly, I have no notes, keep doing what you guys are doing. I love the vibe here, it’s soo cute. This is my second time back and I’ll definitely be back again.
This is an amazing place to go to with your partner or with a group of friends/family. The music is a little bit of everyone’s taste. The food is very delicious and the drinks are so beautifully made yet so tasty at the same time. Not to mention the service is spot on. I definitely recommend everyone to go here. Side note: the owner of this place is fantastic and very accommodating. It’s summer time, so head here while you’re at it!!
Bartenders were kind and friendly and really good at flaring which is when they toss jiggers and ice and bottles around while building your drinks. I sat at the bar and spoke with the mixologist and realized how passionate and happy they were to be working behind the bar. The drink I had were the Smokey kiss and the red panties both were delicious and fun to watch them make. We will definitely be back for a weekend party with the dJ.
I celebrated my birthday here and they went above and beyond! The manager Mike is very professional, flexible, and accommodating. I had a large party of 16 people. Upon arriving I noticed they personally decorated the table for me, that was an amazing plus. The food all came out hot and delicious and the drinks were strong. Not to mention the music had us all up and dancing! This place is a hidden gem. Not many places in westchester have a DJ, good food, good drinks, and a good ambiance. Will defiantly be returning here. Thank you!
Went in for some drinks with my friend, we were greeted promptly at the door and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails are absolutely delicious, you will not be disappointed. The bartenders were very attentive and super friendly. There was a DJ and a bday party going on which made the environment feel lively and energetic. Will def be back!
Absolutely amazing! Not only is their decor inviting and summery like Miami, their drinks are phenomenal. From smoking espresso martinis in a London phone booth to chef special blackberry vodka drinks all the way to their tacos, guac, and sliders- amazing! Absolutely no complaints. Perfect for a brunch, cute date, or bridal shower!
If you are looking for a place that is brings a little bit of Miami vibe mixed with a little Manhattan vibe then come to Mamaroneck! As a girl who grew up in NYC, the prices are on par with what you would see in Manhattan, which if that was their goal with this establishment, they nailed it. The vibe is fun and livens up the area. My husband and I enjoyed the drinks and the food we had. We met the mixologist, Brian who was brought in by Mike to develop the drink menu, and it adds something special that you won't find anywhere else - we tried Tequila Twilight and the Dancing Lady. For food, we had the cheese steak quesadilla, tacos, burrata app and crab cakes and enjoyed all of it. I'm seeing some really negative reviews, which saddens me. First let me say, I am not related nor employed by the establishment - I'm a local who has seen the Village and the Avenue metamorphose over the last 5 years. Barquila is barely a month old, so yes there will be kinks with scheduling and the food that will be worked out... I don't know of a single restaurant that had everything perfect right out the gate. Additionally keep in mind that State restrictions are being lifted slowly, even moreso here due to the VoM ordinances. Crawling out of such a tough year, I hope everyone treats others with a little bit of kindness (which includes restaurants and staff in said establishments) and give Barquila a shot. It really is a fun place with good food, good drinks, cool vibe and a fresh face in the Village. I know my husband and I will be making our reservations to go back to regularly!
Food was delicious, small servings but not too bad. The music was way too loud for 1pm on a Sunday. We couldn't hear each other talk over our meal. Change that up and you're perfect
It's like a mini club at night. Very unexpected for the block that it's on but a cool scene nonetheless. The drinks are $16+ but, very creative and visually pleasing. I just can't get over the price and it's a bit too much sugar for me. The food is pretty good. You won't be disappointed in the food and the whole scene
Friendly and attentive staff. Great food, very expensive. My friends 28 karat covered Angus beef burger was delicious! As well as the crispy hot wings. Only downside was the music was uncessarliy loud, so we sat outside. It was a nice day anyway.
Having opened only a few months ago, it’s clear to see that this establishment is already a fan-favorite of the locals. My coworker and I arrived early and were able to have a seat at the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. The names of their cocktails are fun and engaging, but don’t quite tell you what’s in them, making it a bit tough for a moderate drinker like myself to make a decision. Realizing I was uncertain, the mixologist asked a few simple questions about the types of drinks I like and whipped up something original for me to try. It was the only drink I ordered all evening, and I had four of them in total! With such a glowing review why did I take away one star? Only because after four cocktails I realized that the flavor and excitement was there, but not a large portion of alcohol. That being said, the atmosphere was wonderful, even being extremely busy the service was continuous, the food was on-point, and the total bill for four adults with multiple cocktails and several tapas was incredibly reasonable.
Wow!!! The food & drinks were OK but the service was extraordinary! Our server, Mari was nothing short of AMAZING! It was my birthday and she made sure I had a great experience and celebrated my birthday well! She checked on our table multiple times to make sure we were good. I’m so happy I came! Mari’s positive energy, customer service and attentiveness is the reason we enjoyed our first experience here! We will definitely be back… as long as Mari is there 😂
Stopped in quickly for lunch on our way to the Hyatt Place. Bruna was great mixing delicious cocktails, we had an old fashioned and the valentine's special frozen heart. The decor is super cute, perfect for photos. We didn't try a lot of food, but the menu had extensive options. We had the chicken skewers and chips and quac, no complaints. I can tell effort goes into the drinks and food. Everything was flavorful.
Visited this site for a quick brunch. Overall the place was interesting and fun. However the food needed to be seasoned better and the music was too loud starting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were ok. The live music at the end made up for any short comings.
Barquila went during brunch time . Not bad atmosphere just alittle on the older side …needs alittle more tlc like bathroom/ blown bulbs / nonfunctional music cutting in and out but the staff did there best to make the situation better 1) do not book on open table!!!! $80 for two person but at the restaurant they said they wasn’t open till 5!! We had 1pm reservations but the staff did there best to keep there word and we was sitting and having drinks by 115pm. Above and beyond on that aspect. 2) drinks was unique and flavorful 3) food was tasty and filling even though not large portions . 4) pricing was alittle on the high end but your paying for the atmosphere. 5) bathroom was alittle out of order but they explained there was a huge party day before
Cute little spot reservations are a must considering space itself. Weekend evening dj house techno great for anyone celebrating to be seated inside we opted for outside to hear one another over dinner. Waited 44 min for a cocktail but they were busy so it’s understandable and if you order a premium cocktail it does take time to handcraft also understandable. The Bitcoin wasn’t all that great tbh tasted like a watered down ice cube . The waitress was nice enough to bring over a sample drink in shot glasses to comp for the wait . Personally it tasted better than the Bitcoin cocktail so we ordered a few as a cocktail itself. We were told they were working on putting it on their menu but we have a pic should you want to order . The manager came over was very nice super humble in our opinion. The burger was super juicy and tasty. Empanadas were ok a little on the light side . The experience itself was nice but nothing out of this world . The premium cocktails for the experience was fun with aromatics but the non premium ones tasted better personally. Make sure you reserve ahead of time be prepared to wait a bit and try your luck earlier rather than later in the eve, Nonetheless experience itself was fun but not enough that we’d return. Roughly 40$ cocktails 40$ burgers and reservations should be scheduled early. For desert the backlava was huge and tasty best bang for your buck there. Sadly no non dairy options on deserts. In conclusion if you can’t make it to nyc for handcrafted cocktails try your luck here. Staffing is difficult in these crazy times completely understandable. Would love to see this place do great in this charming town.
The service was good and the fries and Chips&Guac were good. But the Smash burger I ordered was soggy on the bottom and hard to grab. I got cheese on my fingers in the process. For 20 bucks the smash burger isn’t worth it. The food wait was pretty long but bearable. Over all not that bad
It’s a great place for its lounge style ambiance and drinks. However, the food was not good and needs improvement. We had the Fish Tacos, Empanadas, Rolling Steak, Wings and Calamari. All fell short and give it a 4/10. It was bland and just not well made. Calamari were over fried, mashed potatoes were dry and bland. Steak was over cooked. Fish tacos had raw tortillas with only cabbage and no fish or flavor. Also, food is overpriced for the small tapas portion and luxury drinks are very expensive. Overall, did enjoy the experience, food not so much. Next time will just do drinks.
The space is cool, staff was good. Drinks were pretty good. But the food... The "luxury" burger was a disappointment. It was dry and over cooked, I asked for it medium. My date ordered what was listed as a filet mignon, looked more like a over cooked skirt steak. Yuca fries were just lumps of oily yuca. I wouldn't recommend to a friend, considering the prices of the food and what we actually received.
Went on a Friday night and they only had 1 waitress who was doubling as the bartender. Drinks were ok. Food would’ve been decent but by the time it got to the table it was ice cold.
Barquila ambiance is fun and relaxed… the drinks are great however same drink do not come with the same presentation….inconsistent. The staff is good and pleasant and everyone around the bar was helpful. The food is definitely below average and can use some improvements. I ordered the patatas brava and it was full of oil. Later as a main ordered the truffle steak and couldn't even enjoy 3 pieces of it, did finished the salad though.
So I was curious about this space due to there IG page and the location (suburbs) .. when I arrived there was no greeter so I waited for maybe 3 minutes before someone noticed.. I was seated at a table that was wobbling and I was told by the staff that it would stop wobbling if I pushed it up against the table.. my table was missing silverware … the menu given to me and my date was very unsanitary and not presentable… the drinks we ordered were good but not worth the price.. their drinks presentation were not consistent with their advertisement on their digital drink menu… I paid $28 for one drink that I didn’t even get the smoke with one drink.. I ordered yuca fries and they were not fresh… they were frozen bagged processed, pre cut, and season 👎🏿… the chicken on my burger u could tell the oil have no been changed because it was black… and the other burger I ordered was extremely messy … and finally I waited 20min for the waitress to come and get my bill wish I can see that it was really an lack of training … I had to walk my bill over to the bar and then I was told there was no receipt paper … and to my surprise I had to wait another 10 mins for that to get rectified… but I noticed something that resembles a credit card skimmer … so now I will be patiently waiting to see if I got scammed…
I loved the ambiance and the music was great. However, the service was poor and not very accommodating. On their website their churros are shown with what looks like a caramel or dulce de leche sauce. Although, when served they had nutella all over. I explained to our server that I'm allergic to nuts and could not eat it. She basically shrugged her shoulders and left it on our table. Not to mention they automatically add on a 20% gratuity with the check. Certainly not somewhere I would go back.
I’m giving 2 stars because usually I have a good time here and haven’t had many complaints about the other bartenders but the last time I was there on Saturday night, 5/11, the new bartender very clearly ripped off my boyfriend. It warrants a review so people are aware. We were charged $83 for 4 cocktails. (2 specialty cocktails which were $16 & $17 according to the menu and 2 gin & tonics) When my boyfriend paid we saw the bartender pull out his wallet and put the money in, so I felt compelled to ask him after this for clarification on pricing. I asked how much a gin & tonic was and he said $18. By that math it should have only been $69. Which is still crazy, being house gin is that expensive and in a very small glass and they didn’t have tonic - which they just replaced with club soda without confirming that was ok. He did not try to rectify by giving the change back, so we left and don’t plan on returning any time soon. This is unfortunate because the vibes and atmosphere are fun and there’s only a few places in mamaroneck that are fun anymore.
Food and drinks were good. Service was slow and orders were often wrong. Wings were hot on the outside and borderline frozen on the inside. Before we even paid the bill we noticed we were charged extra for drinks AND charged a credit card fee plus 20% gratuity. How do you know how we were planning to pay plus it was 100% not 20% tip worthy for our small party’s bill. Thoroughly disappointed in this experience!
The atmosphere in this place is great. The music is good. The food is decent however what really kills it is the service. Everytime we ordered a drink it literally took 30 min for the drink to come out. To get the bill took another 30 min and to run the card took another 30 min. If it wasn't for the service I would go back.
Nice looking spot but small ,seems bigger in pictures. The drinks was good, waited 15- 20 minutes for appetizers and there was only one other table in the restaurant. Steak for $42 was not worth it BLAND !!! And for the money spent could have stood local. Maybe it's more of a brunch spot or a Friday night vibe. Would not recommend any one going at 6pm on a Sunday... It was dead.
Very disappointed. There was one wait staff tonight for the entire restaurant, he never brought water and forgot the steak tacos I ordered. It came to 160$ for a few basic “happy hour” margaritas, 6 tacos and one plain cheese quesadilla. I also did not appreciate that the happy hour menu was not on the digital menu and he kept trying to push us to order signature drinks. The tacos were good which is why I still gave 2 stars but unfortunately I really regret going. Edited to respond: just because a manager served me, he should have especially clarified how many Barria tacos we wanted and not forgotten the skirt steak taco, and hey idk be nice? Also 60$ in drinks doesn’t account for the overpriced tacos and poor service. Thanks for not apologizing!
I really intended to come on here and only write nice things about this place. I mean ambiance and drinks (taste and presentation) were honestly fantastic. However this was all obliterated by the poor customer service. It was so disappointing...some of our party waited over an hour for simple food and also for a 2nd round of drinks..waiting so long that decided to cancel the second drink because it was almost time to hop behind the wheel by the time they got around to making the drink. We were then offered a feeble explanation that the 2nd chef had called out.. apparently so had the bar tender! There were only two people working there or so it seemed. Had we been told about this at the beginning we would have understood and managed our expectations. Unfortunately that didn't happen. To top it off after paying our bill we noticed we were overcharged for drinks (3x). I wish them the best but won't be patronizing this establishment again
If I could leave 0 stars I would! Came here for my bday dinner. Party of 7. I read the bad reviews but decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My reservation was at 7 we left at 9:30 and didn’t even eat majority of our food because it never came! I ended up cancelling the orders bc the tacos that came out were absolutely disgusting!!!!! They don’t offer chips/ water knowing that you’re waiting 2 hours for quesadillas… then the bartender comes and asks if we want shots which we declined bc they were not complimentary. All of my guests were starving / frustrated. The drinks were nasty. The waiter didn’t even acknowledge the fact that we were waiting and gave some phony story about the cook not knowing the menu bc the real cook called out. I had to argue with the bartender to even get a discount on the food which I don’t even think he gave anyway. I was humiliated that I picked this place that we all got dressed up to come to and no one ate their food after sitting and waiting 2 1/2 hours. The worst birthday I’ve ever had. This is not a real restaraunt. Do yourself a favor and do not go here for any occasion. This place should be shut down.
We had the worst experience at this restaurant. We went last night with some friends for drinks, we were having a fun time until from the bar they started offering shots to everyone and the waiters came to offer us shots to our table, they were 3 and we were 3 too so they told us 6 right? And we said yeah okay let’s do it, we took them and of course we thought they were courtesy shots because from the bar they were offering it to everyone and then when the bill came they charged us for the 6 shots, even the ones that the waiters drank, we told them about this and they pretended we order them and try to charge that on us. THEY NEVER TOLD US THEY WERE CHARGING THE SHOTS, they were offering them as courtesy from the bar to everyone and then we found out this. It was very frustrating how they handled this, the staff was also very rude. Do not go there they are going to do the same to you, I heard similar experiences in this place from some other friends. We end up spending a lot of money even though each of us has just 1 drink. Disgusting
Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was pretty empty however the wait for the drinks was about 15 minutes in between. The food was not great. Cauliflower, quesadillas, and chips too greasy. Drinks tasted good. Mostly a spot to stop in, take a selfish with your drink, post it and leave. There's only 7 tables inside so you always have to get a reservation. Music is good.
Went for a birthday brunch for a friend of mine. Just want to put it out there this place is overpriced for the service they offer. $190 for two unlimited mimosas, two meals, and a hookah? Owner said he would reimburse me some money or give me free drinks/hookah. I yet to see any of that happen…
Went on a Friday night, music was great paid for overpriced drinks woopdidoo everything was fine. We asked for the check and the waitress just took our card instead of giving us the check??!!??!!? She took the card without even letting our party see the check first. We were charged with 20% gratuity and then asked for another tip AFTER THE FACT. They scammed us into tipping twice. $20. Then we asked to fix it since she scammed us?!? And the waitress said the machine was broken?? After serving us three caprisuns with -1oz of alcohol in each drink and guacamole the size of my nipple she scammed us into paying two tips…..
place is all for instagram photos *be aware ALL positive reviews are from fake & written by the staff and employees working there my table of 8 waited 1.5 hours for our reservation, the girls refused to leave, gave us complimentary shots but didn’t seem to not care about having us wait (yelled at staff and were sloppy drunk) continued to party at the bar and no one cared. we’re charged for food we didn’t get, when i complained to owner he simply didn’t care. drinks weren’t enjoyable. prob won’t go again. only thing going is the music and the aesthetic and food was pretty good 🤷🏻♀️
Food and drinks tastes good. But the service is super unprepared and rude. Their prices are not on the cheap side for what you actually get. We numerous times told them about our celiac/ gluten allergy and they quite literally ignored it. I felt unsafe eating there. Wait for food was 48 minutes and the restaurant was empty on Mother’s Day with champagne and potatoes sold out.
So I've been wanting to try this place for a while I even bought a groupon. I went in there Today around lunch time. There were 2 customers sitting in a booth otherwise the place was empty. The bartender so I thought he was because he was behind the bar fixing drinks did not acknowledge me Took quite a while. When he finally said hello he walked past me to serve drinks to the 2 people that were sitting. He came back and I put in my order told him I had a Groupon. He said okay but I think there' Is is a language barrier. Anyway he rushed off I thought to put my order in to kitchen .instead he disappeared for 15 minutes came out with food and served to the 2 customers. Apparently he was the bartender, cook and waiter!!???? Not sure if this was just on this day but its ridiculous after 25 minutes I asked how long is my food going to take.he says now. He brought it out and I attempted to show groupon and he looks puzzled.called manager and manager says they don't take groupon..I'm like yes you do and thats what I'm using for payment. I left with the food and it was not good .definitely not worth the headache. I will not return. Plus the place looks cheesy and tacky. Needs fixing up.
I came here with a few friends the other night. The restaurant was absolutely empty, it was around 7PM. There were two others sitting at the bar. We figured it was quiet because it was 1) a Tuesday evening and 2) miserable weather. Boy were we wrong. It was dead because the service is absolutely horrendous. The server was too busy laughing with her colleagues and looking at her phone than to pay attention to us. My one friend is vegan and had many questions about the menu and the server knew absolutely nothing. She kept going to the back to ask questions. Water refills were non existent. She was too busy with her colleagues and phone, as I mentioned previously. My two friends cocktails were empty and she took forever to ask if they wanted a second. The kicker - my vegan friend ordered an impossible meat taco and it comes without the meat. It was just ridiculous. And then we were forced to tip. They add gratuity for 4 people? I never heard of such a thing. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had and we will ensure to tell all the others in the Mamaroneck area to avoid this restaurant. Forced to tip? I need to repeat that part for readers as I still can't wrap my head around it. They also had a section for "additional tip". A joke, an absolute joke.
Awful service. Was sitting at the bar and was never offered another drink. Employees constantly on their phone or talking to other employees. Left because of the terrible service. Woulda spent the majority of my night there but had rude employees. Plenty of better options on the block. No communication. Acted like we didn’t exist. And drinks are expensive. NYC prices
Too loud to even talk. Food was generally ok, but zucchini fries cooked in burned grease and tasted terrible. Only two staff members on a full Saturday night.
Waste of time. My party of 3 arrived for a 12:30 pm brunch reservation. The place was beautiful & empty. Took a few pictures and sat down. The booth by the window is broken and shakes. We were informed that there was no chef, no manager and no food could be ordered. Server had no idea when a cook would arrive. She offered us drinks but had no ingredients for the boozy hot chocolate. 40 minutes later someone showed up who could prepare food dishes. Just as we started to order, a group came in asking for hookah. I was with a pregnant friend and drew the line there. We left. The place is very small so they’re unable to separate the hookah section. Approximately 6 tables make up the whole dining area. I may have missed the hookah service on the website but I was not staying to have brunch with a side of smoke. We tried to give it a shot but it was such a disappointment. Even the server looked embarrassed. All the reviews saying service is poor are correct and don’t be surprised by the hookah use like we were.
Really unclear - made a reservation for 12pm on a Saturday. Came to the restaurant and it was closed even though opening time is listed as 11am.. even tried calling the restaurant and you can hear the phone ringing from outside the doors.. We very much wanted to try something new in the neighborhood but if there is no clear explanation for this will not be making a reservation again. Unfortunate
Absolutely gross. Got steak and shrimp, which was said to be filet mignon on the menu, came out as the fattiest, chewiest piece of crap I've ever eaten. Disgusting. The shrimp was neither de-veined nor descaled. Completely inedible. The course also came on some idiotic rotating flat rock thing. By mid meal my dad's pants were completely stained with fat and grease. Mixed drinks had basically zero booze in them. Waitress was okay, poor time management at an empty restaurant but obviously the disgusting food wasn't her fault. Can't imagine how this place has even 4 stars.
The server was great but everything else subpar. Food was cold even after being made over twice. The manager came by and removed the food no apology, nothing. The overpriced “luxury” drinks are $30 however all your paying for is a decoration. The drink itself was not pleasant.
Will not return- first and last visit!! They never offered us a happy hour menu even though we went during happy hour. We were then charged full price for drinks during happy hour. When we said something about it they removed two dollars from the check. Not to mention the music was too loud and the decor is tacky. It’s too bad because the drinks were actually good. Get better communication about happy hour and be honest!!
I would have to say by far the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. My reservations was for 7pm, water was the fastest thing served to me. I was ignored by the waiter for about 15 minutes until he notice that my friend and I were ready to order our food. The drinks we good, and the food was alright will not take that away from them. But getting appetizers and not getting forks and knifes or plates ? The customer having to track the waiter down to be served ? Disgusting, everyone on their phone, or having conversations with coworkers instead of attending to customers. Mind you only like two other people in the restaurant besides my friend and I. Will never be coming back here or recommending this place to anyone.
Strangest experience dining out. We walked in and were greeted by a man in regular clothes ( plaid shirt and jeans) whom was seated at the bar along with a waiter in uniform at the host stand right next to the bar. The waiter asked if we had reservations to which we replied yes and gave our name. The man in regular clothes introduced himself as “one of the owners” and let us know about a special they had going on for “industry night” that night only which if you ordered an alcoholic drink from a specific menu those wouldn’t be charged to your bill. I asked the man if he was being serious to which he replied yes so we ordered a drink each. Around halfway through our meal he came by to check on us and asked if we liked the drinks to which we replied yes. During that time he told us we could order as much as we want from that specific menu and that we weren’t limited to 1 drink. We only ordered 1 per person and then 1 drink per person from the regular menu as we still wanted to support a small business. However when the bill came the “free” drinks were on the bill at full price. I am not sure why he would lie straight to our faces for no reason other than to make more money off our bill. We both wouldn’t have ordered those drinks and instead ordered something we actually liked had we known we were going to pay full price anyway. Got a steak covered in gold we didn’t enjoy my fiancé cooks for a living and said it seemed boiled. Tacos were ok kind of cold. The appetizers were the best part of that says anything. We absolutely did not appreciate being lied to and hope this does not happen to any other customer and would not recommend this to anyone else nor will we be returning.
Unfortunately we were excited to eat here for a birthday brunch or lunch and we arrived a little after 12 and they were closed so we were unable to enjoy it
