Amazing sushi and sashimi, good restaurant atmosphere, one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. Surprisingly affordable too.

I dont live in the area, so I have only stopped in once so far. The food was great and the workers there were very nice. I think one was the owner; she had some pork prepared and gave me a small container of it for free to go along with the meal I had ordered.

Amazing place. friendly staff, great food and has a cozy feel to it. My kids have become sushi addicts and now we have to order takeout very often. Not only do they provide excellent service but when my 7 year old was curious about a certain drink she was handed an "on the house" bottle of that soda. They didn't have to do this but it shows how they treat their customers.

The atmosphere is fitting for the type of restaurant, the staff goes above and beyond and to ensure the quality of their food. Locally/family owned sushi and Japanese restaurant. Both the sushi and Japanese dishes are excellent, and the best I've found in Syracuse. The sushi menu is quite extensive and has great variety, while the Japanese menu covers a lot of the classics. The food is always very freshly prepared and flavors are really distinctive, nothing "prefab" or from frozen.

Not just sushi! I have dined here on many occasions and I have never had a bad experience. Their lunch specials are an amazing value and the kids love the noodle dishes. The sushi is fresh and well prepared. I definitely recommend giving this establishment a try!

Absolutely delicious!!! Some of the best sushi in Syracuse, I try to order whenever I'm in Manlius! Most recently, I'd ordered the "Sushi Appetizer"- chef's choice, 6 pieces of nigiri- and completely forgot to ask what they were. Which was a shame, because every piece was phenomenal, and bursting with flavor!!!! And the woman who took my order (I think the owner?) has always been incredibly friendly and helpful!!! I love trying new things from the menu, but I know that I'll definitely order the Sushi Appetizer again.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area. I LOVE the atmosphere and everyone in the restaurant is incredible friendly. I love to make frequent stop ins for takeout or dine in. You can never go wrong with the ramen. Be prepared for the spice though!

I can’t say enough good things everyone was so friendly and helpful in choosing my rolls. I just moved here and have come by 3 times in one week. Highly recommend my favorite are rose garden and fried fire rolls and kiss of fire.

Good time sushi is a little hidden gem that you almost don't notice is there. The sushi is fresh and very palate pleasing. Prices are very good for quality sushi. Staff is amazing and the atmosphere is charming. I will definitely make the drive here again and again.

I have been here for a while and really enjoy eating here. The owners are friendly people and their customer service is nice. The wait might be long sometimes, but I realize that they are working hard in the restaurant. Addressing the people that think they are being disrespectful to each other from yelling at each other, that's the way they communicate and since there's a bunch of noise going on often on busy days, you kind of have to yell in order to communicate with the employees, or they might not hear you. I really like the beef yaki udon personally and also the gyoza. Their sushi is also super fresh, which is what MANY people come here to eat. For a great sushi option in the FM area, look no further!

We loved trying out this restaurant! My sons had sushi and tonkatsu, and I had the chicken katsu. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. We'll definitely add this to our places to go!

I had a monster roll and Gyozu. This was easily the best sushi I have ever eaten and the Gyozu was delicious, as was the sauce the came with it. I do not live in the Manlius area but I will gladly be making the drive to try other foods on the menu. It has a small Mom and Pop vibe with excellent waitstaff and super fresh sushi. Do not miss out on this gem. Highly recommend. Also, our sushi came out very quickly.

The lovely lady there was very sweet. I had asked for the biggest bowl of miso soup they could give me because i wasn't feeling good and thats what i like when im not feeling great. Before i left the lady offered me some chocolate said that it was leftover from mothers day and wished me well on feeling better. Best customer service i have received in the longest time.

When it’s cold outside I often think spicy ramen and sushi, maybe that’s just me. Just gave this place a try after being disappointed by a couple other places I’ve tried and I will be returning to Good Time Sushi! The service was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere in the restaurant was delightful and comfortable and the spicy vegetable ramen I had with spicy tuna was just amazing and delicious. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Our second time here with kids and we LOVE it. The place itself is very humble, kind of like a countryside diner - it is cozy and friendly - you will be taken care of right away the minute you step in. The personnel are polite and quick, and your food will be ready in a blink of an eye. And the food here is of much better quality than some of the upscale sushi places!! Delish. All of it. We’ve tried probably half of the menu and every dish is great. Thanks so much guys, we’re coming back for sure!

Very good establishment on the east side of town. Food was fresh and served in a timely manner. Absolutley, give this place a try. After, it's a short walk to Sno Top for ice cream along the Swan Pond.

Good sushi, great price - went with some basics for our first time. Top - spicy tuna, spicy salmon & spicy crab. Bottom - sweet potato tempura roll and salmon roll.

Really enjoyable. I'm not a sushi expert by any means but I had 6 different rolls and all of them were delicious

Delicious food and satisfying portions. Ingredients are very fresh. Luncheon bento boxes have delightful variety of foods. Sushi is well made and fresh. The bib bimbap is piping hot and tasty. Cozy restaurant with tasteful, original decor. This pocket restaurant even offers saki and other alcoholic beverages. Parking is tight.

Excellent sushi dinner. Udon was great too! The only reason It didn't score a 5 was the wait person was not up to his job. Do go for the great food.

So many cute paintings and seating is so pretty, a little uncomfortable because it is wood but it is better than cushions that can get dirty. The service is not slow at all and the employees are very nice. The food is so delicious and you can tell it is authentic, I love their salmon sushi and soups.

Service is always very friendly & quick for takeout. Asked for "sweet potato tempura roll" and got frozen sweet potato french fries wrapped in rice, lol.

The sushi was good and reasonably priced. We were surprised that the teriyaki steak and chicken dishes came with an unseasoned meat and a container of teriyaki sauce. We prefer the meat to have more flavoring by marinating it in the sauce.

Freezing inside! We’ve been three times, the food is good but everyone in the restaurant eats with their coats (sometimes hats) on! The slow service is hard on our little one. We’lol keep going back- hopefully they’ll get the temperature sorted out.

Tonight was the first time I was really disappointed in my to go order. I had the spicy rainbow roll. The sliced fish on the sushi roll was very thin…. To the point where it fell off. The ginger was dry and the wasabi and soy sauce portions were very skimpy. Been a customer for 2-3 years but feel the quality has changed. I’m just being honest and don’t often write reviews on food.

Decent sushi but absolutely abysmal service. Thirty minutes before we were even served a water. Had to pick up the menu ourselves to look through it. Stick to carry out or avoid.

Wife and I went there last week. We got 2 Volcano Rolls and a Fireball roll and Salmon Avocado. The Volcano rolls had a pretty strong butane taste to them as if they used a butane torch in the top of the roll improperly. Don't think we will be going here again anytime soon.

It was okay. Lady was a bit pushy about what I should pick instead of giving me time to order. Sushi was not that good... I didn't like it at all. Volcano rolls didn't look like Volcano, the other one just didn't take right. They looked so good, but thats about it. Won't go back.

Went to good time sushi today with my best friend after our spa date and had the worst service/food I’ve had in a long time. My friend had to get up FOUR times to ask for plates, napkins. It was freezing inside! Couldn’t take off our jackets, the dumplings tasted like wet paper towels! The teriyaki was not seasoned, the rice was old and almost chewy!! Very disappointing my friend got I avocado salad and some of the pieces were rotten! I do not recommend going unless you want to wait for everything..my friend basically had to beg for her coke like what the heck! I won’t be returning! We were so cold we ordered tea he brought one cup and it tasted horrible and the cup was dirty!

I'm not sure if I have ever left a restaurant review. Tried this place on a date night a few years back, it was not good. Thought we would give it another shot. Ordered $65 worth of sushi, sashimi and rolls for a fun Friday night takeout. I can honestly say I have never had sushi this bad. Not one redeeming piece. Even the spicy tuna roll that comes on the side was garbage... How do you mess this up spicy tuna roll. For everything the flavor, texture, temp just wrong... Wegmans has better sushi which you should never say about a restaurant....

Any time ive been here, (not by my choice) ive witnessed the waitress whos the owner yell at the workers quite alot and on multiple occasions not only give dirty looks to people but also pocket the tips left on neighboring tables. Ive stopped coming here by my choice but my friend attends the same church as the owners. If i could give no stars i would because of how the owner treats people.

I ate there Monday night and I got food poisoning and have not been able to eat any solid food and dehydrated from being sick after I ate there, I had the volcano roll and tempura. The lady server is too abrupt and tried to rush me to pay. I would not recommend this place for food quality.
