Let me start by saying I'm not from Mantua. I happened to be passing by and stopped for some pizza. The person who served me was incredible. Super kind, nice, and helpful. Are there any better pizzas?! Maybe. But I'd rather eat a good pizza in a place lovingly cared for by the people who work there than an excellent pizza where the people working there are perhaps incompetent. So, congratulations!!

A chickpea farinata that deserves top marks! And that's not all. Kudos to the entire staff for their excellent work, their friendliness, and their passion for their work. Inside, you can also enjoy pizzas and pasta dishes, prepared authentically and truly heartwarming. Recommended!

A simple place where you can eat well for just a few euros. The pizza with pumpkin and sausage is delicious, the sausage and mushroom one is also good. The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

I'm from Bologna. A Sunday stroll through the beautiful city of Mantua. I've been to this place twice today, and the pizza is good. My favorite today was the spicy salami pizza. WONDERFUL. The dough was just right, not Neapolitan style, but not bulky in any awkward places. Very kind and helpful. They talk about the city and recommend places to go. It's definitely a place I'll return to every time I visit Mantua. 100% recommended

As well as the slices, they do takeaway pizza too. I got the margarita cost 6€. You can eat in or takeaway and the lady working was friendly. The pizza slices have lots of topping

Grande Esperienza del pizzaiolo. Impasto più alto del normale molto buono e leggero. Qualità e abbondanza degli ingredienti. Ottimo il trancio di pizza a 4 euro ma anche quella tonda con consegna a domicilio. Nel locale proprio di fronte al Comune qualche tavolino e un bancone per gustatarla appena sfornata.

Pizzeria al taglio, semplice e senza fronzoli. Ho preso due tranci diversi e mi sono piaciuti. Un luogo per una pausa pranzo economica, in centro a Mantova.

Excellent. Half a finger thick, well-seasoned, and with a crunchy crust. It's much more filling than you'd think. Different flavors available, delicious, and reasonably priced: €9 for two slices and a drink, leaving you feeling completely full. It's the ideal place to grab a bite to eat after visiting the Doge's Palace, in the small room next to the counter. We were completely satisfied.

I had two pizzas by the slice. What can I say? They were good. What's inexplicable, however, is the one-euro service charge they add when you buy one of their pizzas. This is a pizzeria by the slice, not a restaurant. Update: I'm happy to respond to the comments below, although I don't question the location, the historic center, etc. As you can see in the photo, but as I personally observed, there were no cutlery or glasses. Clean restrooms should be standard in any establishment, whether there's a one-euro service charge or not. And I think it's at least appropriate to point out up front that this one-euro service charge is for those who stop by to consume. This doesn't detract from the quality of the food, I repeat. I don't believe listing a one-euro service charge will deprive any customers of an otherwise high-quality product.
