Recensioni di Six Eleven Bar & Grill Martinez
The huevos rancheros were delicious. Adiya was friendly and delightful. Sam was the perfect amount of attentive and very positive despite the restaurant's busy-ness.
Ordered takeout via UberEats and food was delicious but an item was missing. They re-sent again shortly but sent it to the wrong number address, so then had to send again a third time but got there in the end. Gave a low 2* review via uber eats and felt bad as the food was delicious so am putting a higher score review here in hope that it balances out! Isn’t cool ? 😂🤟🤟 I go to this place every week with my family .
Walking up to Chads. It was busy buzzing hot spot We stood in line. Had watermelon water and cucumber water to rehydrated. Very refreshing Hostess seated us very fast. Opened up the menu. I dove for the tostada ranchero. Minus the chesse and sour cream. Added grilled jalapenos. Mmmmm Wow! Must try for ones that love light filling fresh foods. They catered to gluten/ dairy allergies There mimosas are very popular.
we went just to try theirs Egg Benedict, we ended up loving the place, the people and the Egg Benedict... we do not live in Santa Barbara, so it was small trip to get there... but this place is going to make is come back again and again.
There's a little bit of a wait to get seated, but the food and drinks more than make up for it. The home fries are delicious and seasoned well. The peach mimosa was also amazing and a small piece of cantaloupe was included on the glass as well. The servers were very attentive and were super friendly.
Walked by a few times and Chads was always busy so decided to try for breakfast. Ordered the two egg breakfast with bacon, home fried (red) potatoes and sourdough toast. A little disappointed they don't have hash browns. Everything was good and the portions were decent. My wife ordered the pancakes with poached eggs. The pancakes were very good. Light, airy and fluffy and tasted great. Not denser at all. They cooked her poached eggs perfect. My wife and I really liked the pancakes.
This is a Santa Barbara staple for breakfast! Every time we visit SB, we have to come here. I always get the Mimosa Flight and the Breakfast Quesadilla- SO good. And they bring these little muffins as an appetizer that are sooo yummy. My husband gets the huevos rancheros or the burrito, which are also great. Chad’s is right across from the beach, so you get a beautiful ocean view! There is usually a wait but it goes by fast. Highly recommend.
This is our second time visiting this place and I’m so glad we came back! The wait wasn’t too long and didn’t mind waiting in line as the views are breathtaking! We chose to sit at the diner top. It was super neat to watch how fast the workers work and the difficulty of their job. I truly appreciate those who work in food service and hospitality after watching the magic in the kitchen. Our food was delicious as it was the first time. We will definitely be coming back when in SB.
Loved this place so much that we went back the very next morning! Mimosa flights were fantastic and fun, and the food options were delicious and filling. Huge portions, so be aware! All staff were attentive and friendly, and be aware that on a Saturday morning, there will be a line up out front! I assure you it's worth the 20-minute wait! Everyone raved about the food options and taste! Definitely a fun spot. My ONLY complaint... music got so loud people were literally yelling at each other at other tables! Lol Other than that, it was a great spot for breakfast or lunch!
Went here on my second day. It's a popular place! Managed to get in before the line started forming down the block. Staff were all super friendly. Food was really good, and I loved the mini muffins they brought out for the table. I had the Santa Barbara omelette with side of fruit. It was good, though I wish the omelette was a tad bit bigger.
Lovely spot by the water. Lots of outdoor seating. I can imagine it gets busy on weekends! The starter biscuits were nice, although I wish more were savory rather than all sweet. I got the spicy omelette (can’t remember what it was called but it had Serrano peppers) and my partner got the huevos rancheros. Both were quite tasty. My one complaint is that my omelet filling proportions felt a bit off - could’ve used a bit less pepper and more cheese.
Such a cool little spot right on the water. Classic diner vibes — feels like it’s been here forever in the best way. Super friendly, laid-back, and the food just hits the spot. Perfect place to kick off the day in Santa Barbara.
Outstanding food and view. Highly recommend!!The service was excellent and our server was the best. Can’t say enough great things about Chad’s Cafe! You have to try the mini muffins because they were delicious! Every single thing we ordered was great. We also had the breakfast wrap and it was amazing.
Fresh mini-muffins come to the table when you sit down. There's a flight of mimosas that is worth a try. You can't go wrong with anything here, but my favorite is a stack of pancakes with home potatoes on the side. Even waiting in line was okay because they had a magician entertaining people with card tricks. I love Chad's!
Chad's Cafe in Santa Barbara is a hidden culinary gem. From the moment you step in, the cozy ambiance and friendly staff make you feel at home. The menu is a delightful mix of comfort food and inventive dishes, all crafted with care and flavorful ingredients. The breakfast options are a standout, with generous portions that satisfy any appetite. Whether you're enjoying a leisurely brunch or a quick lunch, Chad's offers a diverse selection to please every palate. The commitment to quality shines through in each dish, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. With reasonable prices and a welcoming atmosphere, Chad's Cafe is a must-visit for those seeking a memorable dining experience in Santa Barbara.
For those of us who grew up with Sambos, it's a little special. We sure enjoyed visiting this historic restaurant and even purchased some mugs and T-shirts. The food was delicious, as well. They also make their own salsas which is great! I especially liked the red habanero one! Try it on some scrambled eggs. Yum! The pancakes are very good! You will even get all you can eat mini-muffins while you wait. The decor has the retro orange booths but new and all very clean. The patio offers another wonderful dining option with boxed fresh flowers and beautiful bright yellow umbrellas. It's also right on the beach which makes it very nice. All the waiters, waitresses and managers are very nice and friendly. If you're driving through Santa Barbara, you must stop at Sambos.
Absolutely incredible! My girlfriend ordered the breakfast burrito for $10, and it was absolutely massive - they could charge double that and it would still be a fair deal for the sheer quantity of food (which also tasted fantastic). I ordered the two eggs with meat, and everything was great there as well, very satisfied. Shout out to the server, Loric, who was super on top of everything, going back and forth while managing many different tables.
This restaurant was suggested by Google assistant when I asked for some breakfast in Santa Barbara. I have to say it didn't disappoint, the food was delicious including the home made potatoes. The staff was nice and the owner even helped us getting around as well as the restaurant manager David who has been really kind to us. They even let us park for a few hours while we were walking around. Lovely experience and really lovely people.
This is the perfect breakfast spot! It's right across from the harbor, it has outdoor seating and is dog friendly, and the food is amazing! They bring you hot fresh baked mini muffins when you're seated. I got the Santa Barbara omelette and my husband got the Fire in the Hole breakfast burrito both were delicious. It's super crowded on a Sunday so if you don't wanna wait be there by 8 am!
Chad’s was great food and the manager Julio was helpful when someone in our party requested a gluten free accommodation due to celiac’s disease. It’s not easy for restaurants to always accommodate special requests, especially when it’s busy, but Julio went the extra mile to make sure everyone was able to eat safely. Highly recommend!
Ordered the Santa Barbara omelette and it was yummy! Portions are huge and our group ended up sharing plates with each other. Patio was full when we got there so probably want to make a reservation if you want to eat breakfast and look at the ocean!
Always a line but always worth it! They had the best French toast I have had in a long time. It wasn’t soggy or too dry, at the same time it had great flavor. Sat outside with the dog, the server brought over a water bowl, she was too kind. I came back for the cali breakfast burrito and it was one of the best I have had. I will be back. Pricing was good, parking is annoying though.
We stopped by the area and wanted a quick bite to hold us over. Breakfast sounded great but we were ready for lunch. Greeter recommended the grilled chicken club. We decided to share it along with onion rings. Really great choice..
Excellent dining venue. Casual dining, nice variety of food to choose from on the menu. Prompt, courteous service. Very reasonable price. Dining for the whole family. We will be back. Highly recommend this place.
Service was fantastic and breakfast was prepared perfectly. Our waiter was at the top of his game. We went at 9 on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately, but when we left there was a line so go early.
I stayed down the street from this breakfast place. I tried it out and wow... it’s so good! My friend had the breakfast burrito and I have the corned beef hash eggs Benedict. They serve fresh warm muffins as a complimentary item. Americanos were good. Always nice to be at a place that has a proper coffee machine. The service is very quick, the food was on point, the ambience is so Santa Barbara... listening to some classic Lionel Richie in the background. You won’t be disappointed. Check out the flower boxes... the little details make a big difference to any dining experience.
Visiting SB for the first time and had to eat at Sambo's! My wife and I loved the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and our waiter (our receipt says his name was Nicholas) was beyond great and super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. My wife had ordered the Belgian waffles and he had come to us and told us that her waffles didnt look right before he brought them to us, so he had them remake them. Our food was very good and we really loved the mini muffins as a starter. We got seated outside and enjoyed the beach scene. We will definitely be back next time we're in SB. Thanks Sambo's.
Chad’s Cafe is a fantastic spot right by the beach in Santa Barbara. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect place for breakfast or brunch. The food was fresh, flavorful, and very well prepared, with generous portions that really hit the spot. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, which made the experience even better. Sitting outside and enjoying the ocean breeze while having a great meal truly adds to the charm of this place. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Chad’s Cafe is definitely worth a stop. I’d happily come back again.
Had breakfast at Chads and it was great. Do you know you have found a great spot when: 1 - it’s Friday in the off season, and 2- there’s still a line to get in. Had scrambled eggs and pancakes. Eggs were done perfectly. Pancakes were light and fluffy with just a touch of sweet. The Bloody Mary was almost a meal in itself (see the photo for the garnish). It was seasoned just right (not super hot) and the glass was rimmed with salt. And ask you waitress/waiter what kind of alcohol it’s made with (not giving away the secret here!!). Finally - enjoy the warm mini muffins with butter that everyone gets.
One of the best places to enjoy your breakfast. The location is unique and you can see the beach while having your meals if have outside seats. Their chocolate chip corn bread muffins are so good and fresh. Sandwiches and omelette are so good and cooked well. Belgium waffle with Real syrup is recommended.
Well Chad's didn't disappoint!! We sat outside... because we're in Santa Barbara so you just should! There is a line, till a bit to get seated, I didn't think they had that quite figured out that day, It all went smoother after the party of sixth got their table, didn't have them wait and seat 20 other people. The service was great our server was nice ,cute ,polite, very helpful, food came fairly quick too! But the food Oh man that was really good My wife had the Santa Barbara omelette which you really liked and she is picky!! I had the ahi Benedict and that was seared perfect!! The hollandaise sauce was on point I was having a foodgasm!! Coffee was great nice, hot and strong!! I didn't think the prices were that bad for Santa Barbara and sitting and looking at the beach! It was a little noisy inside but the outside was perfect!
This place is AMAZING!!! Located in Santa Barbara, CA this is a must visit for amazing food. We ate at Chad's first day outdoor dining returned to CA. Their hollandaise sauce is the smoothest, silkiest, most beautiful sauce ever! The 1957 Breakfast sandwich on a bagel was deliciously cooked, and the eggs were buttery. The California Breakfast Burrito was filling, well seasoned, and sort fresh. The Tiger Bites had great taste. The mini-muffins they bring to the table were a special treat. Still warm because they came straight from the oven to our table. Simply put: wonderful location to pause and grab some fabulous food!
This always a go to when in town. Food is plentiful and delicious. The huevos ranchers are huge and excellent to taste. You must try the home fried potatoes as a side, you won't be disappointed. Patio has a beautiful view of the beach. You can't go wrong for service, food, and view with this place. Expect a line, if there's not you timed it perfectly!
Yes, the location is stellar! Look at the sunrise and the sunset you receive from being here plus the staff at this restaurant, makes it all! Yes, the food is delicious, but the energy that floods you from the moment you arrive is what really brings you back time and time again 😍
Within view of the harbour area, this pleasant breakfast cafe is a great place to hang out with friends and family. I saw some large parties being accommodated and it seems to get popular later in the morning. At 8:00 mid week it was surprisingly quiet and I could take my pick of seats and of course I chose the sunny sidewalk to people watch. The food was amazing. I had a very tasty California Benedict with a generous side of fruit. One of the best I've had. Service was prompt and friendly. There are many good breakfast restaurants in Santa Barbara and this belongs at the top of the list.
We've been coming to Santa Barbara for years and this was our first time at Chad's, but it's not our last time. The total experience was 5 stars. Specifically to this visit, our breakfast was exceptional. I had the corned beef hash Benedict, which was the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had! The corned beef is prominent in the hash, I never wondered where the beef was, the hollandaise had the right kiss of lemon and not watery. My wife got the Ahi salad, it was a little spicy for her but the presentation was delightful with the avocado "rose" in the center of the salad. Our waitress Tatum was so helpful, and she got the chef Kevin's attention and he showed me at our table how he forms the rose from the sliced avocado. I'm going to practice at home. Bottom line, Chad's is our new go to place for breakfast while in Santa Barbara.
Chad’s Café in Santa Barbara, perfectly located just off the main strip with a clear view of the beach. The patio seating makes it an ideal spot for an early morning stop, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze while sipping your coffee. One of the highlights was the complimentary muffins , chewy with just the right crisp on the edges, absolutely delicious. The rest of the food was plentiful and satisfying, making it a great value for the experience. And here’s a fun bonus: while dining, I spotted two celebrities enjoying the café as well, which added a bit of excitement to the visit.
Chad's cafe is right across the beach and it has a big sign you can't miss it. Once you go in, it has a lot of seats, a lot of bench seats to the left and to the right and then you have seating on the outside as well. The foods are great, really fresh, hot and the service was wonderful. We were serviced by Sophia. And she was all smiles and we had a great experience there. So we recommend you come there, enjoy and and have some great omelette look at Sophia's smile. Go ahead and check it out. You'll love it!
I've been eating at Chad's Cafe since a kid in 1968 when it was still Sambo's. Best breakfast in Santa Barbara in my humble opinion, price, food, service, beachfront view, fun retro vibe. Ordered a Ham and Cheese omelette with crispy hash browns, we also had oatmeal with fruit. When seated, they serve a warm basket of sugar powder dusted mini muffins and butter. Never had long to wait when asking for a few things. Definitely will go back!
My wife and I really enjoyed our last day brunch here. Ww were seated immediately. We had an awesome waiter named Ben. He was very attentive, gave wonderful suggestions and his tableside manners was warm and welcoming. My wife ordered the Floretine omelet with home potatoes and pancakes. I ordered the corned beef hash plate with bacon. We both ordered a mimosa flight. Ben was very accomodating with our flavor substitutions. Everything came out hot and delicious. We both loved all of what we ordered. Lastly, the place and the Halloween setup is to die for. They really outdid themselves and we enjoyed the vibe!
The Belgian waffle was absolutely delicious, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The complimentary muffins were another highlight — hot, fresh out of the oven, and just as tasty 😋. Beyond the food, the staff really made the experience special. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. Their friendliness added a personal touch that made the visit feel extra welcoming.
My husband and I celebrated our Dating Anniversary in Santa Barbara with a cute weekend getaway. We stumbled on Chad's Cafe as it was within walking distance of the hotel we stayed at. This place was perfect in every way. It has a nostalgic vibe, small and the food taste home-cooked! My husband loved the little muffins they served as you wait for your meal. We ended up coming every day for breakfast on our trip it was that good.
Service was amazing! Food was great! But the view…spectacular. I love the vibes and you can never beat Santa Barbara. This establishment is highly recommended in my books! We ordered during lunch hours and during a local fiesta making it very packed but the line moved very quickly and servers were efficient!
We stopped in here for brunch after reading all the good reviews and it definitely did not disappoint! Food was delicious and such a nice touch to have the basket of free mini muffins. The location is great with views out to the sea. Highly recommend a visit here but timing is key, we were lucky enough to get a table pretty much straight away but it was very busy after that. Even if you had to wait I would still say it's worth it!
On vacation, this restaurant is right across the street with an ocean view. Inside and outside seating both. Service was exceptionally fast and staff was very attentive at all times. Server Sam, very young professional server did an exceptional job. Talk to the manager, who is also a very young professional manager also did an exceptional job. Very well run operation. Food was fantastic. Served within five minutes. Will return next time coming to Santa Barbara. Very impressed with the entire operation.
Had an amazing breakfast at Chad’s in Santa Barbara, right on the beachfront. The view is unbeatable, and the vibe is perfect for a relaxed morning. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. We ordered the Garden with hash browns, the corned beef hash with eggs, and a club sandwich with a side of pancakes — everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food with a beautiful ocean view!
A nice little place in Santa Barbara right on the beachfront. Patio outside overlooking the Pacific while you have your breakfast. One of the unique things about this place is they start with a complimentary basket of freshly baked mini muffins. We got chocolate and blueberry muffins in ours. Just loved this!! Their coffee machine was broken, so couldn't try any speciality coffees. But their regular coffee with hazelnut cream was a good start to the day. Plate portions are pretty big. I went with the garden omlette and it came with side of hash browns and toast. Again, I liked these to the fullest. By the end, we were so full that we could not try their pancakes. Must visit place if you are in/around Santa Barbara.
A group of us went for brunch and if there is no wait this place is great. It is both modern and retro at the same time. The prices are a bit high for breakfast but the food is good and portions are large. It is a good value for your money. I would definitely go again but it is certainly not a place I would wait more than 10 minutes for.
A questionable name for a restaurant given this day and age. However very good breakfasts and brunches. Pancakes were awesome. You are served up with mini hot chocolate chip muffins as you sit down. What’s not to like about that! Service was attentive. Looks out into Santa Barbara beach. Doesn’t take reservations so if you want to sit outside expect a wait or turn up early. We sat inside and that was totally fine. A good recommendation for breakfast from us.
The first and I believe the last one in existence. They have standard americana comfort food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my daughter ordered the pancakes. There is both inside and outside seating, we sat outside. The beach is right across the street which is a nice view while eating here. This is one of the places I look forward to stoping at when I'm in Santa Barbara.
This is a great breakfast/lunch spot for the locals and the visitors too. It appears to be very busy on the weekend but it’s an excellent place to eat a healthy meal if you have some time to wait. I visited on a mellow Monday morning so the wait was non-existing. Coffee was good and the pancakes don’t disappoint either. I love the fact that I could order breakfast or lunch anytime of the day. The staff is courteous and efficient. If you get lucky enough to eat outside you will catch the amazing view of the beach just feet away. The location is great too just walking distance from downtown.
We were a party of two adults and two children. We were told we would have a 30-minute wait but it was probably only 20. This restaurant is on the ocean so you get a wonderful view if you're willing to wait for an outside table. One of my granddaughters exclaimed that these were the best pancakes that she had ever had, and my husband and I must agree. They were very fluffy and tasty. My husband's club sandwich was huge. Their house potatoes were very good as well. The free basket of chocolate chip muffins were srumptious and gone in 2 minutes. The picture only shows half of it, because we devoured them immediately. The only reason I gave this restaurant four instead of five stars was because the hostess was a little short while taking our info and when I asked her for a menu she just thrusted my way and didn't even look up. It wasn't a big deal. I'd recommend Chad's for the food and the view!
very long wait, good food, great staff but extremely crowded inside it was cramped and loud. there were two stalls in the bathroom and one had a big crack between the door. heard the kids’ chicken tenders were good, but honestly what kind of kid is gonna eat that lettuce 1957 Sandwich was pretty good. love the home potatoes. sandwich had bacon, egg, and cheese. choice of hashbrowns or home potatoes on the side and choice of bagel or english muffin. because of the long wait, the staff brought our drinks and complementary little cups of fries. fries were very good and nice seasoning. staff was very nice. served by someone named ben. seemed to be late teens or very early twenties. my dad kept commenting on the hostess’s makeup and i just want to apologize for that. overall good experience except for eating with my family. not the restaurants fault though. also they bring out a little basket of mini muffins like they would bring out bread rolls at a dinner restaurant. very delicious and warm. there were chocolate chip and blueberry muffins. would come again and recommend to others. would come with a different group though
Second time to have breakfast at this place this morning. Service was not as great compared to yesterday's. I had to asked for the little muffins and the server questioned me if it was a refill. We never got it in the first place. No one offered coffee refills, I had to asked for it again, and it was lukewarm when I got it. AND it wasn't even as busy as yesterday when there was a long line outside. Good food but service was not consistent.
There was a line to be seated, but it moved at a good pace. It was a lil tight at our tables. We were seated at two tables. 6 of us outside with a small dog. The food was ok. Complementary mini muffins were warm and tasty. The huevos rancheros were in desperate need of chile sauce. We all loved the house potatoes. The club sandwich was the star of all our food. It was fresh veggies and stacked high.
Great location, great atmosphere, cool interior design. However, the main hostess was pretty rude to our party. I don’t remember her name but it was a blonde gal with glasses. We seemed to be inconveniencing her simply by being there. Additionally, it was clear that the wait staff was not all on the same page because we had one staff member trying to seat our party, but she would not allow us to be seated until all of our party was there. Despite that, the other wait staff members were great. I would still recommend and would still go back, but would hopefully like to not have to deal with that individual again.
This was my first time at Chad's for at least a decade. The menu is classic breakfast lunch diner. There really isn't anything specific to them on the menu. However, I must say their bloody Marys are impressive. The service was standard, but we didn't need to stand in line and that's a good thing! Overall it's still a solid breakfast lunch restaurant with great views. It can get very busy with long lines. Definitely a Santa Barbara classic!!
Really good food! Enjoyed the breakfast options, great fresh juice and coffee. No decaf, and the server was very short and rushed us to order drinks. Fruit cup was good but watermelon was mushy. Burrito was great and enjoyed the hashbrowns. Overall liked the food and fun location by the beach!
I was excited to see a forgotten gem from my childhood and maybe capture a nostalgic experience with my family. We expected a long wait, but when they said it would only be a 20 minute wait, we were pleasantly surprised. The joy kinda ended after this. After waiting about 40 minutes, I went to the hostess to find out what was going on only to find out they had given our table away. She explained we would be next and then sat 2 other tables. Not a great start. It was also uncomfortable to watch one of the managers being a little too touchy with the young girls on his staff (hand in the small of their backs and arm around their shoulders, holding their arm, etc.). Finally we get seated and are brought a tray of warm muffins, which was a nice touch. My wife and I ordered the California Omelette and it was fine, nothing exceptional, just ok. My daughter ordered French toast which she really enjoyed. Everyone was full, but nobody felt it was worth the money or the wait. ($89 for 4 people...) Honestly if you’re wanting to relive memories of Sambos, it might be better to leave your memories intact, rather than taint them with a mediocre dining experience.
First time here and it was ok. The food wasn’t extraordinary. The best part was the mini chocolate chip muffins they serve you while you wait for your food. Those were delicious! My waiter was awesome. However, a hostess brought us our food and asked if I needed anything else. I said salt & pepper and she NEVER brought it, no one ever brought it, and I didn’t hear from a single soul til I was pretty much done with my food. Which was unfortunate because the eggs had zero flavor. They were also dry. So this definitely put a damper on the overall experience. Especially when I seen this same young lady give salt & pepper to a lady at the table directly in front of me 😩. The mimosa flight was good and strong. There’s another positive. However, I don’t think I would be back.
One person can really ruin a brand. Normally this place is great and there is a function and a flow but when Josh is working it disrupts the flow. Customer prioritization works the opposite as if regulars are not treated well. Every time I have been here there has been no reason to complain, but Josh is bad for business.
Eggs were good, Hasbrowns (all three plates) were drastically undercooked, basically cold in the middle with no crisp. Wait staff was very nice and accommodating and seating went fast even though the line was long
My wife and I almost always go to Jeannine's because it is so good. We decided to try Chad's on a random day off. There was a short wait and the hostess was very nice. Once we were seated, they failed to bring us the complimentary muffins, server was meh as she never checked back in after we ordered, refill our water, or really look at us until she took payment at the end. We ordered the Pop's breakfast and the food was very standard. The upside is that the outdoor seating area has an awesome view. I would say to go to Jeanine's down the street or Happy Cat Eats as they are much better establishments and you can still get an amazing view and better food/service.
Cafe Chad is proof that free food can make you overlook almost anything. They hand out complimentary chocolate chip muffins while you wait, which is genius—because once you’re eating dessert before breakfast, you stop caring how long your actual food takes. The service is on “Santa Barbara time”—a little slow, but so friendly you almost feel guilty noticing. The patio is dog-friendly, which explains why no one in their right mind chooses to sit inside. Why eat indoors when you can compete with Labradoodles for table space? Overall, a charming spot where muffins come first, patience is required, and the staff is nice enough to make you forget you’ve aged slightly while waiting.
The food was good. We set at the counter where food was being bused. We were disappointed about trying to get coffee refilled. The wait persons were busy talking about ?? just feet away not paying attention to customers right next to them. Glancing around there were mostly older with a few families. During our meal loud annoying music started playing. We thought the music was too loud and not customer friendly music. All in all, it was a disappointment meal for us. We will not be returning to this establishment on our next trip through the area.
Chad’s Café has a great beachside vibe, and the service was friendly. The two-egg breakfast was solid—eggs cooked well and tasty overall. But the pancakes were smaller than expected, and the breakfast burrito was just okay. It needed those crispy hashbrowns to really hit the spot. Not bad, but not quite the “best breakfast” people talk about.
I’m in town for a wedding and stopped in this morning for breakfast around 10 am. I saw this place had eggs Benedict so I decided to forfeit a free breakfast and try this place. I was sat immediately but wasn’t greeted for 15 minutes. I ordered a coffee and classic Benedict. When I tried to pour the sugar it was solid, which made me laugh to myself. It was swiftly replaced. Now here comes the heartbreak… The hollandaise was just wrong. It was far too lemony and the texture was off (seemed thick). It also was not an adequate amount. I mean come on now… it’s eggs Benedict! The hollandaise should be your show stopper. It’s the reason you order the dish. But I digress… I also was disappointed the eggs were poached hard. I was looking forward to a delicious hollandaise with runny egg yolks mixed in to create the mouth watering bliss that is eggs Benedict! But twas lackluster. I was so hungry that I ate it all, though I left some hash browns because the slab was browned on the outside but almost wet and soft in the center. The little muffins they sent out before the meal were quite stale and reminded me of Cookie Crisp cereal. Anywho, I left not feeling 100% full and just disappointed overall. I was never asked, “How does everything taste?” or if I needed anything else before the check was dropped. I did appreciate the to-go coffee, though!
Me and my friends went to Chad’s this morning for brunch. We were sat fairly quickly for a busy Sunday morning. The gentleman that took our drink order seemed careless and not very excited. He then proceeded to bring the wrong drinks to our table, and as we told them we didn’t order a lemonade they took it away but still ended up charging us for it. They brought out the wrong drinks to a couple other tables as well. The food was solid. All of it was brought out not long after we ordered and was still hot and enjoyable. Our server, Molly, then proceeded to not check up on us for the next 40 minutes or so. Nobody said anything, for that matter. Finally, as we were paying, we didn’t ever get a proper thank you and sort of shrugged off. Overall food was good but service was lacking. Molly you owe me 5 bucks for the lemonade that nobody ever ordered.
Pancakes taste no better than a krustez or Bisquick, horrid coffee, prices warrant better food or bigger portions. Extremely disappointing with all the good reviews and the look is delicious; but just because plating is pretty does not make the meal good. Maybe I came on an off day but my whole tables meal from cocktails to dessert was just dissatisfying.
I never write reviews, but this cafe was subpar. My boyfriend and I came here for a quick breakfast, and we ordered an Egg & Chicken Fried Steak, and a Pops combo (I chose Belgian waffles, with bacon and sunny side eggs). Upon walking in the diner, we were instantly hit with very loud music. We seated for two, and we saw empty booths all along the left side, and a large group of college students to the right. We were then seated to the right, arms length next to the huge group of students (naturally they’re going to be loud, I get that). I was confused as to why we were seated next to them, and I could barely hear my boyfriend talking. We asked to switch tables but the waitress said they were still cleaning the empty booths on the right (which was already cleaned and empty). When the food came, it looked good at first. We both started digging in, and the Belgian Waffles were already soft, undercooked I believe, and soggy (there wasn’t anything on it except a knob of whipped butter in the middle). I suspected they used pancake batter for the waffles, which could explain its texture and taste. My boyfriend’s plate was alright, but not the best. Not to mention the price, we paid almost $70 for just the both of us. Overall, I think it’d be better to hit up Dennys or IHOP.
Service friendly but forgot items. Food:potatoes were overseasoned with pepper, which they were aware of when I mentioned it. Coffee bitter and not good. Muffins stale hard could not eat. Hash browns cold. Not satisfied.
There was a roach crawling on the walls in the middle of our breakfast, we immediately lost our appetite and wanted to leave. We notified our server and she faked concern and went to speak with her manager about it. They shared a laugh after the manager said “so what” in response.
