If you want a real taste of Havana in Miami Beach, Bella Cuba is the place. We ordered the fried red snapper, and it was prepared perfectly, crispy on the outside and fresh on the inside. It paired beautifully with the fried yuca and a refreshing side salad. We also tried the Hatuey beer, which is a classic Cuban choice and went great with the meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a welcoming atmosphere!
I can not express how much I love this restaurant. I’m literally praying they will continue to remain in business each time I go back to Miami. It’s right off the popular walking path by the shops and beach area. I’m an introvert, so finding a restaurant that gives you a great does of social life is slim to none in South Beach. Every other Cuban restaurant is too loud. You wouldn’t be able to hear anyone speak. This is perfect for being social and the vibe is very home style. They are so kind and attentive. I had the chicken and it was fantastic! Introverts, solo travelers, need some amazing food with some downtime, need to make some business calls, or finish up some work accompanied with some delicious meals… come here. No regrets!!!
Wonderful experience of catching an impromptu dinner at this lovely restaurant with authentic Cuban flavor. Our orders of breaded fish sandwich and drunk chicken rice were flavorful, tasty and very filling. A recommended try if you are in the area.
A wonderful gem. Fabulous Cuban restaurant that prioritizes taste! We were dinner walk-ins, and were seated immediately. our waitress was attentive knowledgeable, and conveyed a quiet enthusiasm for what was to follow. I immensely enjoyed my Oxtail stew/rabo encendido which I'd seen recommended and which did not disappoint. It was superb. My sides were nicely fried plantains and a wonderful moro (black beans and rice) which had been lovingly made the slow cooking way which showed in each hearty, flavorful bite. Not oversalted and the beans shown. Wow. My spouse had the "cuban egg roll" which she greatly enjoyed. We had little room left for dessert but are so thankful we took the plunge: the guava cheesecake is classic, but most of all we enjoyed the "tropical coconut flan" - we're still talking about it and it's been weeks! Atmosphere: we ate outside and while there were occasional passersby, and some traffic, it was generally quiet which was nice after having seen the huge bustle over on Collins. When we next return to Miami Beach, we will definitely go back; I would like to work my way through their entire menu! Service charge of 18% automatically included in the final check.
This has to be a must stop. Cubano sandwich was outstanding. Great ambiance and service. The Tres de Leche was extremely good. They make their own bread which was perfect for the sandwiches. The mojito drinks were very good. We came back on consecutive days, that's how great this place is.
This restaurant is officially one of my top favorites by Ocean drive! The portion size is very generous! The passion fruit mojito was amazing too! I ordered the grilled chicken with two sides. Definitely worth my money! Service was amazing too!
BEST CUBAN FOOD, BEST FISH OF MY LIFE! If you're in Miami Beach I'm not asking, I'm DEMANDING you go to Bella Cuba!!! I had a chef's special, I believe it was red snapper with cream sauce and shrimp. OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The maduros were divine, and the boiled yuca with mojo was PHENOMENAL!!!! Super easy to get to, trolley stop is only a few steps away. VIVA BELLA CUBA!
LIFE CHANGING!!! Skip all the tourist traps and go to this AUTHENTIC 20 year old Cuban bistro!! The atmosphere is a cozy Cuban aesthetic with lots of art and murals. The happy hour mojito is $8.50 and is garnished with copious amounts of fresh mint!! Monica our server was beyond friendly and accommodating, and the food… AMAZING!! Home cooked and savory and reasonably priced!!! You will love the savory cuisine and love the prices even more!!!!
Loved it! Genuine family run establishment. Can’t go wrong with the shredded beef, rice and beans and sweet plantains. Food and service were A+.
Outstanding restaurant. Amazing food, exceptional service. It’s not too big, but big enough. Flavors are rich, balanced and full of character. It’s really worthy to come and try!
I really liked this place. It was a few blocks off of the beach. I had a recommendation from a local friend and he came through. The meals were classic Cuban. I got the Caesar salad and my friend got the suckling pig. Our waitress Monica was very good and was quite helpful with the the menu/area. It is more of a local place, which was a positive to me since the prices were much more reasonable.
Fresh food. The best savory plantains ive ever had. Not overcooked. Blueberry mojito has good flavor. Food was sizzling hot upon delivery. Friendly staff. Thank you for a needed respite
I made a reservation for 8 at lunchtime as we were on a short break from a conference across the street. We were pleasantly surprised as they had lunch specials that were very affordable and the food was delicious. The dishes were authentic Cuban cuisine. We had several different dishes as shown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we had a few more join us. I would highly recommend this place and will return. Thank you!
We ate at this restaurant 20 years ago and it was the most amazing food and all these years we would still talk about the dishes we had. We had an overnight layover in Miami and purposely got a hotel close to this restaurant so that we could walk to it. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food was just as great as we remembered, the drinks were delicious, the servers so friendly, and the presentation of the food was wonderful! If you are in Miami - you NEED to go here! So good!
I took the traditional suckling pig. It's a banger. The mojito too. Close your eyes and just enjoy the neat atmosphere. The staff is nice. If I come back to Miami B, I'll definitely eat there again. 10/10.
This place is a gem. Fabulous Cuban restaurant that prioritizes taste! Everything was cooked to perfection and food came out well seasoned. Never once did we reach for the salt and pepper. The restaurant was quaint and quiet which was nice after the overstimulation of the main drag. Our waiter was fabulous and helped us navigate through the menu with helpful suggestions. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Stopped at this place for lunch on a Monday and it was great. There wasn’t any wait and the food came out really quickly. The oxtail stew was the main star - 100% recommend getting this. The place is smaller but the decors are nice. Do be mindful about parking, Miami lots are shady.
During a recent visit to Miami I had one single food goal- good authentic Cuban food. I studied abroad in Cuba nearly a decade ago and have been searching for the same high ever since. Everything about Bella Cuba reminded me of eating out in Havana right down to the little details like the chair shape (weird I know). I almost could’ve been convinced after my meal, and stepping back out into the Art Deco district of Miami that I was transported back to Havana. I had the Tostone appetizer (which had ceviche and ropa vieja as two of the 3 toppings) and the Paella, my friend had the mussels and oxtail. Everything hit the spot and I’ll be riding this culinary high again for years. Everything was spot on. ESPECIALLY the mojito. A lot of people will recommend the big name places, hotel restaurants, and chains- but this place is worth sifting through all of it. It’ll be a staple of every Miami visit moving forward.
This place was fantastic. Food was excellent and authentic. The service was amazing. The waiter took time to explain the meals and make sound recommendations. Also, was extremely fast and attentive. The atmosphere was good. Very small restaurant but was set up great. They had a live salsa band playing at the time as well.

Amazing restaurant with the best Cuba food I ever ate. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is great and lifting 💫
We stopped in for lunch on our last day in South Beach. What a treat! The Cubano Sandwiches were delicious with juicy pork and pressed to make the Swiss cheese melt just right. The sandwich was definitely large enough to share. The avocado salad was the perfect side. The side of black beans was so good, one of my favorite Cuban foods. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was fun with tropical style furniture and decor. Quiet spot for a wonderful lunch or dinner. We will certainly be back to try more of this excellent food!

My husband and i decided to come here to try some Cuban food and honesty we were very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I ordered a sandwich and for $16 you get the whole loaf of bread!! This is like a huge sandwich. Such a bang for your buck and it was really good.
The server was very nice Panamanian guy name John. He's very friendly and very good. He give 110% good services. Food are fantastic. The Cuban oxtail stew is the best. And the Cuban rack of lamb..is so delicious and very tender and juicy.
Visited this weekend — amazing service and great food! Tried a Margarita, Cuban coffee, and the classic Cuban sandwich — everything was perfect. Highly recommend
Don’t get me wrong, I love Canes, but it blows my mind how many skipped past Bella Cuba to get chicken fingers. The Cuban sammy and Yucca fries were unparalleled. Best cafe cubano I’ve ever had.
We actually ate here twice because we enjoyed the first meal so much. During our first visit, Steven gave us the best service of our trip, providing us with not only the history of the restaurant and the dishes, but also the area and Miami in general. He was so compelling in his explanation of the menu, that we cancelled our reservations at Havana 1957 that evening and returned for dinner. The food is amazing. The cuban sandwich was definitively the best I've ever had. Topped the meal off with an espresso. There's not much else to say, it's the perfect place to experience cuban food from a cuban owned restaurant in Miami. One minor point - when we returned for dinner our server (not Steven, he was gone for the day I assume) struggled with the language barrier, and there were a few mixups. It was fine, but I guess the lesson is: go for lunch.
Excellent experience. Wide menu choices. My Caribbean Guava Salad was served in the biggest avocado I have ever seen. My husband loved his Cuban Oxtail Stew.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The staff is 5 star service and super friendly. Plenty of hand sanitizer and social distancing guidelines are followed. If you like mojitos please get the blueberry mojito! You will not regret eat. The food was delicious and was prepared in a timely fashion. If you are looking for Cuban food, this should be your #1 choice!!
Food was outstanding! The waitress was attentive and super informed about the menu. We tried all her recommendations and nothing failed to impress. 11/10 would recommend.
We were looking for an authentic Cuban sandwich from a local place and stumbled onto this place. Our waiter had to be one of the most friendly and attentive people we've encountered in a while, he was super informative to culture with talking about the menu and wanted to make sure both the food and the experience we had was amazing. My wife had the Cuban sandwich and I had the fried fish sandwich both of which were absolutely amazing. We shared a calamari for an appetizer and it was crunchy and melted in your mouth. I had a double espresso which their bartender pulled the best creme with. My wife had their flan for dessert and it was nice and creamy and the presentation was outstanding.
My best friend and I came here on our last day in Miami and WOW! This was the best thing we had. Service from Manny was AMAZING! The food was unbelievable. It was fresh, flavorful, and very filling. This was my first time trying Cuban food and I am so impressed. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner. We would have ate here multiple times. Definitely recommend this place!
Best food I ate over my week and a half long trip. Everything was perfect - the food, drinks, service, and (surprisingly to me) the presentation, which was top notch. Wish I lived in the area, I'd be back here regularly. If someone from the restaurant sees this review, could you please hook me up with that saffron rice recipe? <3 For reference the pictures are of the drunk chicken and churrasco steak.
This place was amazing! The Oxtail Stew was incredible and its flavor was truly authentic. Manny was an incredible waiter, but the whole staff worked together and it made for a truly incredible atmosphere. The wait times were minimal, and they did an excellent job walking us through the menu. The guava cheesecake was amazing and a unique item that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Everyone visiting Miami should definitely come here if you want authentic food and a warm, welcoming environment!
This place is simply excellent. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful from the friendly waiter manny, to the scrumptious oxtail. The oxtail is the epitome of perfection in everything about it. The first bite is heaven while the second one takes you there. The way the meat falls off the bone is like how the feather of a bird slowly cascades off its body and withers into the wind. A bite is excellent as the remarkable juices of the oxtail ooze into the tounge absorbed by one’s taste buds as scorched soil absorbs water. The oxtail makes sure to hit every flavor receptor existing within the oral cavity. If I could have a last meal I would have to select their ox tail stew. Thank you Bella Cuba and thank you Manny!
The best Cuban food in Miami Beach by far! We ate here several times during our stay because we just couldn’t get over it. The dishes are absolutely delicious from the meat to the seafood and omg the guava cheesecake is to die for! The service is outstanding. It felt like home. Shoutout to Max for being the coolest and giving the best recommendations. Would eat here everyday if I could ❤️
The Cuban sandwich was amazing! The fresh bread and the pulled pork made the sandwich. Had several other dishes which were all amazing too. Service was great, love that it was family owned.
My son's friend (a former Miami resident) recommended Bella Cuba. And I'm glad he did because everything was fantastic! The Cuban eggrolls were one of the best appetizers I've had. Really liked the Cuban sandwich and the bread was terrific. My friend got the oxtail stew, first time I've tried oxtail and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it is!
This little hidden gem is located on Washington Ave near Lincoln Rd Shopping Mall across the street from the Bank of America building next to Raising Cane's. We were walking by and their menu caught our attention as we wanted Cuban food for dinner. As appetizer, we had their Tostones Rellenos...as main course, I had their 'Glazed Tropical Chicken' which consists of Pineapple and honey with a touch of mustard & Paprika accompanied by a Strawberry Mojito. My husband had their 'Camarones Al Ajillo' (Garlic Shrimp) and a Hatuey Beer. Food tasted delicious, cooked to perfection with great presentation... they serve the best 'Ropa Vieja' I've ever had! I gotta say I wasn't a fan of their Strawberry Mojito, it tasted too bitter for my taste. Staff is super friendly and helpful with the menu. Overall, we had such a great experience here and can't wait to return and try more of their menu items.
This is a wonderful little Cuban restaurant! Fabulous selection! Husband & i decided to share 4 appetizers - triple Tostones, cerviche salad, calamari & shrimp, & chicken croquettes. All delicious! The mojitos are perfect. Service was very friendly, helpful, & prompt. We would definitely go back.
Okay im really excited to finally leave a review. So this place was Amazing the food was everything and more i dream of eating here again and i shall return! We had a Cuban sandwich which omg you have to try at least once in your life and fresh mango juice delicious we had to get more each time the Cuban coffee was really strong but good in conclusion everything was delicious. Service was great they definitely earned extra tips and the location was great it was clean and felt very cultural, lots of arts everywhere from the table to the walls and more! Love love love ❤️
The food was absolutely amazing! Huge portion and amazing taste for a fair price. Service was also very friendly - a place to visit!
This place was amazing. Leo our server was excellent. The food was so good that I eat more than I should have. Meaning I finished my plate. Not like me! I highly recommend going here. We were told we need to go to Havan 1957, but I am happy that we chose Bella instead. This was the perfect place. Thank you Bella for an excellent evening.
Fantastic place for authentic Cuban food with great service and delicious food! Atmosphere is great and they have outdoor seating as well. The prices are 30% higher than advertised on Google maps and they charge extra if paying via credit card. Highly recommend for great food and atmosphere!
The service was really good, especially from Manny, God bless! I thoroughly enjoyed the grouper along with all the sides of rice and shrimp and mussels. I even managed to have room for dessert, salivating my way through a delectable flan and guava cheesecake. Not even to begin with the guava juice and incredible appetizers. This restaurant was truly one of a kind and a unique experience not many are able to experience. I am grateful I could come here.
Gem on a busy street! This business is next to Raisin Canes & I am so happy we opt to trying to place our versus having quick chicken and fries For dinner. We ordered a little bit of everything, the empanadas, the guava salad with shrimp, delicious oxtail stew & their special red snapper with a cream sauce. They also serve fresh juices! Hands down, best first night dinner in Miami! This is definitely a place you must try!
Excellent Cuban food with generous portions and at good prices. Previously we have gone to Havana 1957, but we enjoyed Bella Cuba food even more. It tasted more home made with a less touristy environment. We were each given a piece of Cuban bread which was a nice treat for us and because we were so hungry. We got the Croquettes as an appetizer and the jug of red sangria which came in a wine carafe with dry ice clouds. The glasses came with a lot of blueberries, and slices of lime, orange, and pineapple on them. I enjoyed the Cuban sliders and got a side of Yucca fries. I was able to take them back for a snack later, but I think I was charge almost $4 for a To Go container and bag though, almost as much as the fries themselves. My husband got the Slow Roasted Suckling Pig which was came with a good mound of pork, and he selected black beans and mashed yucca as his sides. Stephen was a great waiter explaining the menu patiently and personable and friendly. We enjoyed our dinners at Bella Cuba and have made reservations for our next trip back to Miami.
My wife and I were in town the night before our cruise, so we decided to go out and try some authentic Cuban food. The hotel front desk recommended Bella Cuba, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted immediately by the two friendliest staff members as soon as we walked in. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere made it a great place to eat. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Miami Beach.
This is my first time in Miami and I wanted to try some really good Cuban food. My friend and I decided to catch the trolley to Lincoln street and search from there. Welp, we googled restaurants in the area and Bella Cuba came up. It had a good rating so we went and I am so glad we did. When we entered a couple had just ended their meal and we were the only people there. Manny greeted us warmly and gave us a run down of the menu. We ordered Beef and Chicken empanadas to start and ordered the Rabo Encendido (Oxtail stew) with maduros and yellow rice and the Midnight sandwich to share. When I tell you the food was phenomenal, I tell no lies. This meal was fantastic. All the dishes were full of flavor with every bite from start to finish. The empanadas were light, crispy and delicious. The oxtails blew me away. They were fall off the bone tender, and the stew over the yellow rice was simply heaven. The maduros were cooked to perfection. You can tell there is pride in these dishes. As we were enjoying our meal the restaurant quickly filled up and I understand why. If you are in Miami you should not leave without trying this restaurant!
A small restaurant, convenient to the (amazingly wonderful New World Symphony). The food is predictably excellent (try the guava salad, offered with protein options that make more than a meal), service is friendly. The Cuban coffee was just sweet enough, not syrupy. It can be noisy if busy.
Great restaurant! Amazing food and service, we have been a family of five with kids and there is a great variety of options for food! We enjoyed the chicken stew, seafood paella and the breaded chicken a lot and for starters we highly recommend the ceviche
Kaja was our server. She took such good care of us. We took all her suggestions and didn’t regret them. The food was delicious! We’re so glad we chose to come here. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing experience at Cuban Bella. My boyfriend and I got the drunken chicken, yuca fries, plantains, and flan. Everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were also huge! All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and attentive.
The food was beyond superb! Whenever I am in the area I will always stop at this cute restaurant. The beef oxtails were melt in your mouth, falling off the bone, the chicken was so moist and flavorful and OMG the empanadas were TO DIE FOR! Thank you! All my foodies follow my insta for delicious eats @girleatsworldx
I was there last night, it was our 3rd time at Bella Cuba the last time I was in Florida they had an event so I missed eating there. This is a must stop every time we are in Florida. They never disappoint and the food was soo good. Haddie,(hope I spelled her name right) was fast, funny, and Professional....The food is so good I love coming to Bella Cuba because it reminds me of my trip to Cuba....
We went on a cruise to the Bahamas and decided to stay a few nights in Miami. This was the best food we had during our trip. The Oxtail melted in your mouth and could be cut with a spoon. The tropical chicken was so flavorful and delicious! The yuka fries were also amazing. We would definitely recommend!
I went to this restaurant three years ago, and on this trip to Miami I decided to come back. My experience was just as positive as the first time. You can really tell the food is homemade, cooked with care, and the customer service is warm and attentive. Next time I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely stop by again. On top of that, my phone was completely out of battery, and they quickly seated me at a table with an outlet nearby. I felt really looked after and helped. Thank you so much.
I know this is a Cuban place, but they had the best seafood paella I've ever had, and I've had paella in Spain. My husband really wanted picadillo and they made it special for him. It was great! Definitely will come back.
Hands down the best meal we’ve had in Miami Beach! We had the oxtail, slow cooked pork and maduras - all super tasty. The mojitos were excellent, made with fresh limes & much better value than some of the other stops we’ve had on this trip. Exceptional flavors, service & all round experience. Must visit. Can’t wait to come back!

We were in from out of town and my son read all the great reviews of Bella Cuba and they were spot on!! I give it 5 stars!! Bella Cuba is an authentic cuban restaurant and they've been around over …
Their cuban sandwich and chicken sandwich are awesome. Much better quality and taste than other multi-store Cuban restaurants in the area.

I am taking a star away because of the 18% service fee that is not the tip. Server said it is to help with wages which is insane. You are basically paying 38% more than your bill when you also add tip. The food and service though were excellent and the entire family enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, empanadas, drinks and more.
I was at Bella Cuba restaurant for lunch. We made a reservation before. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The service is good and the servers are kind. We started with their coffee and do recommended trying it. The papitas bravas were good. We tried their chicken sandwich and it was really juciy and good. Their entrees with garlic shrimp was good, it comes a 2 sides. The shrimp was well cooked and the sauce was delicious. I recommend this place for a good meal.
First time. We ordered a cuban tamale, chicken sandwich, and a traditional cuban sandwich. Both sandwiches were good but the tamale was excellent. We finished with cuban coffee and flan - both were excellent. I also had two cuban beers - also excellent. Prices were very reasonable for South Beach. The portions were so large neither of us finished our plates. I will definitely be back.
There is an 18% service charge in addition to the tip. I asked waiter if 18% service charge is his tip, he said he gets none of it. So expect to pay 18% service charge plus 20% tip or 38% more than menu says. Food was decent but when you take final price with service charge and tip, there are other places that shine more. If 38% over menu prices looks reasonable to you, then go enjoy the food. It was cooked fine and atmosphere was nice. To eachs its own i guess.
We went here to have some traditional cuban food on our trip to Miami. The food came out generally fast and was delicious. However, the vegetarian/vegan options were limited, and the few options di…
Authentic cuban dishes mixed with some generally popular food. The waitress recommended some good choices. The steak we had wasn’t great, but I’ve had worse. The stew was a great dish. The desert we had was a waste of money, while the cake itself was very simple, the cream on top wasn’t fresh, one of those supermarket bought creams from a bottle, which definitely ruined the dessert. Overall a mixed experience, the waitresses were kind and helpful, price was high and included an obligatory 18% service charge.
Heads up to future diners: Check your bill carefully. They automatically add an 18% service fee but it is not clearly marked on menu or elsewhere. It would be very easy to accidentally double-tip if you aren't paying close attention.
The food was good. We had several Cuban restaurants at Miami and always loved the food, including oxtail stew and platain. However, the waiter forgot to take out the order, and we had to ask for water refill. Also, there is a fixed charge for service of 18 percent which I didn't see anywhere else while an additional tip option is given. I would only tip 13% to 15% for the overall service if i have the option and not happy for the extra charge.
This place is a scam do not go here. THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU. I ordered a sandwich that was priced at $16 on the menu. When i got the bill it was for $26!! The server claimed it was because of the 9% tax and 18% service fee. The numbers weren’t adding up so I asked for a receipt and I was charged $20 for the sandwich. When I asked why the server said it was because there’s a 4% credit card fee. 4% of 16 would be literally less than a dollar. So all of the fees are 18% service charge+ 9% tax, and 4% credit card fee. That in total is 31%. 31% of $16 is $4.96 which should have brought my total to $20, so i’m not sure where they got $26 from. My friend also ordered a $12.50 appetizer and $23 entree and her total ended up somehow being $56??? I would stay far away from this place unless you want to pay nearly double the upfront price.
This restaurant is very tricky on the tips. First, when they present you the bill, an 18% service fee is automatically added in. Then, below on the bill it ask you to circle a percentage of tips you want to give, the waitress will then ask you to sign. Know what you later find on your credit card bill? It shows you actually paid the tip twice. What is worse is that when you call them back, the whole team knows this scam and so they won’t answer your phone or hang up on you. No joke, they manipulate the bill to make you pay more. Cheaters!!!
I dined here for the dinner, and the experience was appalling. The server unilaterally added an 18% gratuity to my bill without any prior notice and handed it to me to sign. After returning home, I checked my statement and found I’d been charged a second 18% tip. I called to resolve this, but the server was extremely rude, they told me to speak to the manager. When I called back, they cut me off, and refused to listen. This is blatant overcharging and absolutely unacceptable customer service. Be alart your bill and their waitress!
