Gazzetta is such a cute and welcoming place, perfect for a chill date night. The owners are incredibly pleasant, they take the time to greet you warmly and explain the menu, which really makes the experience feel personal. The dinner menu has limited options, but in the best way, everything feels thoughtful and well-curated. We tried the pasta of the day (similar to Norma) and the carne alla griglia. The pasta was gluten-free and cooked separately for safety, which is very considerate. It was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The grilled meat was juicy, well-salted, and tender. We also asked for extra ricotta, and they provided a very generous portion. The seating is cozy, with the added charm of an open live kitchen. The atmosphere feels intimate without being cramped, making it a great spot for couples. All in all, the price-to-value is excellent, especially with such attentive service and warm hospitality. Definitely recommended if you’re in Brussels and looking for a gluten-free-friendly Italian dinner.
Small restaurant with small menu and great pasta. Friendly service. No reservations.
Amazing place, visited on Friday evening at 18:50 when there were plenty of free tables. Already 25-30min later, restaurant was full and people were waiting for free tables. Food is amazing and was served pretty quickly, tiramisu - delicious! Recommend 🫶🏼
Very nice place. You can even sit in front of the kitchen to see the chefs cook. Their pasta al Pomodoro is amazing. The wine recommended was exactly what I was looking for. Great service overall. Will go again for some tiramisu and tea next time ;) Good to know: clean toilets on ground level.
Place is quite small but very charming. Small menu of freshly made pastas. We got the charcuterie board as an appetizer, 2 classic vegetarian tomato pastas with burrata, steak, and pumpkin sausage pasta. Would absolutely come back.
I dropped in here when travelling for dinner on my own after a recommendation from a local friend. They have a very small menu with only one regular dish, the pomodoro with burrata, and then all other dishes change. I think there are five pasta options at any time. Most of these were pork which I don’t eat so went for the special of pesto penne with swordfish and it was DELICIOUS. They also have a small but well chosen wine menu with options by the glass. Worth a visit for amazing food and an elegant but relaxed vibe.
Bit pricey but very tasty and amazing atmosphere
Perfect place, great food, great service, and right value for money too !
It’s a great place to have a real italien food, quick and quality service !
This is just such a gem. The Prosecco is great and a good price, the mixed plate of meat and cheese is a good option, and the ambiance is so friendly and chic. Great for a happy hour.
I am going to say (and this is no small feat) that I've had here the best latte in town. I also love how it's tucked on a side street, out of the noise of av. Louise. I'm planning to become a regular :)
Great food, only a very small menu but they had lots of wines
Small Italian bistro-style restaurant with a nice wine list and a small, but tasty food selection -- very good pasta. Friendly service, modern decor. Busy, so arrive early if you want to make sure you get a table.
Had there espresso & tiramisu - solid piece. This is the place to have tiramisu in Brussels - delicate, not too sweet, perfect. And coffee is one of the best I had in Brussels. Will come back soon to try some pasta and wine.
Truly Italian: top quality ingredients and wines, and a limited number of no fuzz but finger licking good dishes make for an outstanding lunch place. But you can basically jump in any moment of the day. Plus they are also a deli.
Always 5 stars ✨ for this place that I know since it was launched some years ago. The pasta we had on Saturday was sublime…
Simply wonderful. Real Italian flair: a bit noisy and busy as it should be 😉. Food is delicious and authentic. Coffee and desserts are great!
One of the best restaurant in Brussels, quality is amazing, it's tasty, smells like Italy ! Whenever I'll come back in Brussels, I'll definitely eat at least once there.
Perfect place for a date, not many seats or meals in order to ensure great quality in terms of food, service and atmosphere...
Cafe with small but excellent menu. Definitely a place to try for lunch or even a diner.
this place was recommended by an Italian friend who is a foody. i guess that sums it up. The place is not that big, but very bright and the design is quite nice. SERVICE : the staff is very kind, the chef Emmanuel is very welcoming, and you can enjoy the live cooking! FOOD Apetizers : we took the Mozarella Buffala which was savoury and the mixed cheese/charcuterie plate i highly recommende those : the charcuterie plate comes with Truffle Mortadella, and the cheese is Moliterno with black Truffle and with pear jam. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 3 choices of pasta as a main course , and usually i recommend to go with the chef's choice, but if you like the classic basilico pomodoro pasta, then why not! WINE : a good selection of french and italian wine, with a fair price range DESSERTS : 1- The TIRAMISU was delicious, not the best you'll ever eat though 2- Try the CHOCOLATE SAUSAGE with Biscuits. The coffee is Italian. no need to say more on week ends, the place is usually busy, so there might be some waiting time because they do not take reservation. i recommend an Aperol Spritz to be enjoy meanwhile!!
Very nice pasta! And very nice owner & service!
Great atmosphere and dishes, way overpriced
Really goood coffee. Such a cute place with a great atmosphere.
Fantastic experience. Some of the best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had. Professional and courteous staff. Highly recommend!
Simple dishes but with great taste and actually authentically Italian. Lovely spot for lunch or for a quick dinner/apero, would 100% reccomend.
The food was fantastic. Only two pasta options on the menu and there’s no need for more. The pasta with the simplest ingredients was the best as it’s prepared to perfection.
Place very convivial and charming. Food very good and fresh. I was tasting the flavors of Italy. Not a lot of choice of pasta but because they are fresh homemade pasta. I was eating at the bar and had a view on the kitchen; clean kitchen, chef is making the pasta one by one last minute, and all the charcuterie and cheeses are cut last minute too. I recommend.
Situation. I was nearby too early for a meeting and was a little bit hungry. So i decided to eat something small here. I had the small charcuterie planche with fresh bread and top olive oil. Very tasty the charcuterie!! A glass of wine. Water. Finished with a top espresso. I sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the cooks. Great work, great dishes. I leave with the wish to eat here soon. Great super nice service too, i shall not forget to tell. Grazie!
Came here 2 times already and loved it! They have the best gluten free pasta which is such a plus!! Will definitely come back and highly recommend.
This place reminded me of the lovely restaurants in Italy. The ones where you go and eat the best pasta, a hidden place known by the locals only. Food for soul 😋 or pasta for soul. I had the pasta of the day and it was delicious. Appreciate the pasta al dente, excellent cooked. Perfect place for lunch or dinner.
GAZZETTA provides genuine Italian experience with a warm Italian welcome and great service! Talented Chef Manu prepares daily fresh pasta with a focused Italian menu, ensuring every dish is authentic and delicious
Very tasty! Lovely service and reasonably priced. Don't expect a large menu - quality over quantity.
Work lunch, party of 4, delicious! Just a bit noisy, but it’s packed with Italians (as myself) so that says it all 😄 feels like a casa 🍝☺️
Although the menu is restricted what we had was very nice, the waitress that served us spoke 3 languages
We had a family dinner. Since majority of pasta includes pork or pork juice, I enjoyed vegetarian pasta with burrata.
Authentic Italian food, great atmosphere, friendly family business.
Lovely Italian restaurant on a quiet street. It’s very small so always felt cramped and tight. They need to work on that. Food was good. We had pasta. Pasta Vongole could be better, was fresh, but not great with seasoning. Lots of empty shells in the plate which was annoying. Vibes was good, lots of people at lunch time, seems popular, a bit overpriced for the quality of service and the food. The garlic bread starters was really nice. Window high seats are great - gives a bit of a view of what’s happening outside.
Had a broccoli pesto and sausage pasta to start which was good but I couldn't but help think my wife would love it. I had entrocotte steak medium which was nice but more like a medium rare in the UK which is good as I like medium/rare. Although I wasn't keen on the rocket with Olive oil & balsamic vinegar addition, with bread yes but not with green leaves, a bit tomatoes and cheese with leaves would have been nicer. The cheese cake was baked and good but wasn't blown away by the Clementine sauce. I much preferred my wife chocolate baked cheesecake. But it all came in At 55 euro which is good value, tip on top. Wish I tried the mozzarella dish as it looked great. Would I go back - yes. It is also open pretty late which is useful and I like the decor inside. Also I feel they could free up space for a few times extra tables if they move the till to the area next to the kitchen where they have I think fridge/ to the toilets. Just an Idea.
Italian food is delicious. Pasta is always on point. You can feel true Italian authenticity. Staff and service are impeccable and nice and helpful. A bit pricy tho and the dessert was not phenomenal.
Very good food, already longing to go back ! Nice atmosphere and good service.
Not really familiar with Italian foods but this restaurant has got a very great service mind server who patiently explained me the menu. At the end we got what we wanted and enjoyed every munch. Quite a large portion, price a bit too high but with the taste, is acceptable. The meat is so perfect together with balsamic vinegar. Tomatoes are superbly sweet. Great Italian experience!
Not to much place and not really clear what’s on the menu but the food was good and the pasta portions were big.
Food was really great, staff didn't really seem bothered to help customers though
Good pasta and some good wines, but a bit pricey. Good location and atmosphere
Excellent food, fresh produce, high quality...cozy tight-fit place, only shame for the underwhelming coffee.
Good environment, good service. The food is really good. Prices could be better tho
Good food. Italian taste. Nice place.
Very nice pasta restaurant with a really good service!
Cosy Italian bistro (hope this is the right name for such a place ?) Very hospitable and joyful servants. Correct prices and super tasty appetizers. Also as amuse bouche the burata mozzarella on a toast with olive oil was just jummy a.f! Main dish was the pasta of the day. Basically a perfectly boiled pasta 🍝 al dente with ansjovis, capers and some slightly spiced sauce. Molto delizioso!
The food here is amazing. Always great selection of truly Italian food. But the staff is not very friendly, quite rude in my experience.
The best Italian cuisine ever eaten!! Staffs are very kind, helpful and take their time to explain dishes. Be early because tables are very hard to get. A must in Brussels 😎
It’s really good quality Italian food. Nice setting and ambiance. Tough to get a place, always crowded. I’d go back.
Went there on a saturday evening. Quality of the food was outstanding and the wine selection is large. Absolutely recommended if you're around Louise.
Nice for lunch with friends over the Weekend. Choice is limited, only 2 type of pasta but quality was there !
Very short simple menu but very tasty. Stylish spot for a platter of antipasti and a glass of wine.
Food quality is great. It is annoying that you cannot make a reservation. Staff is not always polite.
Great food, although a bit pricey. The summer employees were a bit grumpy.
Delicious food. Expensive but the right price for such quality. Sadly, ridiculously small portions. The guy next to us had to order a second main course to feel satisfied. We just left hungry we're not that rich. I guess small portions are just part of the hype now...
Recommended to me several times. Restaurant is in a quite street next to Avenue Louise. Easygoing/ simple setting. Good value for money. Very Friendly staff. Amazing pasta: 3 choices. Menu changes every day. I had the tagliata beef. Slightly disappointed with the quality tho. Will come back for their pastas.
I must say, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and I really enjoyed them. However, I had an unusual experience with the service. I felt quite uneasy and unwelcome due to the waiter’s behavior. He gave us strange looks and seemed to murmur under his breath whenever we placed an order. It was something I’ve never encountered before. And I really hope they change this way of serving people!
A ver si vuelve a abrir post pandemia
Heavy construction works on the other side of the road, so not always easy to communicate...but fantastic staff and tremendous products.
Simple but tasty food. Rather overpriced and not confortable seating though.
It was close but on google maps you’re writing that it’s open so please change it, thanks
Food was okay but not overwhelming. Ambiente is nice but the high chairs are rather suitable for a quick lunch and not so much for a cozy evening.
Average Italian cuisine, pasta was good, tiramisu a few days old :(
Nice simple italian restaurant. Very limited options of pasta - a bit overpriced. Anyway, it was very tasty, and the tiramissu was very good as well.
Good coffee, good quality of products but the burger they propose for brunch is not very tasty. The place is nice and friendly overall.
Not very high quality of ingredients, but the wine was good.
Expensive, pretentious and really average food. I like al dente pasta, but that was undercooked not al dente. A lot of hype for instagram pictures but absolutely not worth it food wise. I don’t recommend.
Terrible meat, ordered steak and was 60%pure fat and tendons, pasta dish was ok, very pricy for what you get. Indoor seating only high chairs, had to seat outside on a cool night.. Wouldn't recommend it
Update 2025: always interesting, but choice of vegetarian dishes even more limited than before, wines a bit disappointing for the price and repeatedly served with a slight insistence. (proposed even when the glass was not empty yet) . In general, very attentive and kind service. Review 2019: Always good and kind people! Interesting wines by the glass, sometimes.
Bit overpriced. No tap water can be served with the coffee, it's not possible in Belgium according to the waiter:) Food was not bad, just a basic spaghetti. Portion was good.
Pretty good. Just wished there was more than _ of the day for some stuff. I would’ve like more options for the pasta other than the daily one. My review is 3 and a HALF stars. Too bad there’s no inbetween ratings on here.
When i went in the past, i loved the pasta. It was special. But now i went again, taste is good, no complaints. But if you have 3-4 very simple pasta in the menu, thats basically everything you do, i would expect fresh pasta or a special sauce that would make the restaurant stand out.
Tienen terraza fuera . No aceptan reservas
I was expecting better coffee from an Italian place. The cappuccino doesn't have body nor particular flavor dimension. For 4 euros you simply expect good coffee. Overall, although I haven't tried the food, the hygienic level of the place seems below average, very typical for Brussels. There was bread on cutting board right next to my table so I could easily sneeze on it. I hope that soon restaurants in Brussels would be obliged to have Food Hygiene Rating on their doors same as in London.
Only three pastas to chose from and all three of them had the same tomato sauce as a basis. The service was slow to make things worse...
Food is ok, but service not good and very slow. They are not ready to handle the flow of lunch traffic.
The place is really nice and tasty - however the owner seems somehow really unhappy about charging such prices. Also he doesn't seem to be the people kinda type. Probably it wasn't even the owner but another guest whom I asked for an order 🤷🏻♂️
I just went there this morning since it was the only place around that area that was open from 9am. I had a business meeting and we wanted a quiet place where we can talk over a coffee. Unfortunately, the staff acted completed unprofessional as if we were not there, banging bottles, plates, making so much noise cleaning, throwing away stuff that we could barely hear each other. This was an important meeting for me and the situation became embarrassing because of the noise. I understand that the staff has to clean, arrange stuff, but they should do this before actually opening the cafe to clients and not whilst receiving clients. It is simply bad management of the cafe, I am sorry to say.
Went to Gazetta twice. First time, it seemed they were understaffed, so service was largely dismissive, but food was good. Gave it a second shot, and service somehow got worse -- inattentive, forgetful, and often rude. The food was ok, but really not enough to make me put up with poor treatment.
Fatty and overpriced meet, unfriendly staff and language barrier on top no matter whether you try in English or French. Never seemed to be sorry for any mistake either so overall an unpleasant experience.
Walk away from this restaurant ! I m not used to post review but that place definitely doesn t worth its 4.2 stars ! Better cook at home, will be better for pasta lovers !
ou can’t reserve in advance, and since we came in the evening before a public holiday, the place was full. We agreed to wait on the terrace and enjoy a glass of wine while we waited for a table. After about 25 minutes, a server came out and asked if we were waiting for a table, then invited us to come inside. But when we did, the first server looked surprised and told us that someone had taken our table and refused to move. She just shrugged and said sorry. We ended up paying for our drinks and leaving. We didn’t mind the wait—after all, we had agreed to it—but it was clear that they weren’t managing the waiting system properly. What really disappointed us was being left standing awkwardly inside after being told to come in, with no one acknowledging the situation or trying to resolve it.
No reservation system, so we had to wait outside for half an hour, with a glass of wine. One server came to get us when our table was ready, when we entered, another server seemed surprised we walked in and informed us that two gentlemen had sat down at a table and refused to move. "I'm sorry", no indication of how long it would take. We decided to leave, as this is no way to do business. They did not offer any sort of discount or compensation for the wine.
If there was an option for 0 stars i would have chosen that one. Firstly, the service: as soon as we entered the restaurant we were overlooked, we had to chase after the waiter to hand us the menu, once we chose our meal while other tables were handed bread we didn't. Furthermore, the food was astonishingly bad since it was just pasta with the tomato sauce (i make a better one at home if you want to join) especially since the price does not correlate with the quality of the meal. The only word my friend could compare the food with was VOMIT. Please do not come here if you dont want to feel violated.
Unfortunately this was a very very bad experience. I have asked for the tuna salad and I wanted to make sure it was not canned, the writer told me it was cooked. It ended up being canned tuna and the answer from the waiter was that this is what he said! Same with Oat milk- we asked for it and they told us we asked for hot milk! As an Italian this is not the place to be.
We live close to the restaurant and we used to come here on a regular basis, as we like the food. Unfortunately, the staff has changed recently and the last time we were "welcomed" by a very arrogant young man who clearly has no clue of what it is to be a waiter. So we immediately left the place. I hope the person will not stay there as this will certainly have a negative impact on restaurant's reputation.
