A friend told me about this place and I’m so glad I checked it out! The mix of Venezuelan and Japanese flavors is super unique and everything I tried was really tasty. This is a really nice restaurant. Very trendy yet welcoming. They have a large menu which makes deciding what to get a challenge. I got the dinner special which was a small plate, a specialty roll and a dessert. The Tuna Tartare was delicious, the Taikin Bomb roll was also good and the Tres Leches was fantastic. Arianna, did a fantastic job taking care of me for my meal.

Came here to celebrate my younger sister’s birthday and had a great time. Ordered the Coconut soup along with the Sakura roll, would definitely recommend them, though beware the soup is pretty spicy (though that’s a plus in my books). I was attended to by Quintero who came by the table often enough to meet me and my family’s every need. Had a great time here and will definitely come in the future.

Food was exquisite. The drinks were really good! The atmosphere was really nice but the service is quite slow and servers need more training or need to concentrate in what they are doing. But overall I recommend this place.

Came here based on all of the reviews for the first time to celebrate my hubby’s birthday. We had a reservation for 8pm and had to wait almost 30 minutes for our table so definitely make a reservation. Food was amazing! The octopus chicharon is a must! Shorting was delish!! Daniela was super sweet and recommended great choices. Wil definitely be coming back.

Ariana was such an excellent waiter she provided top notch service and recommendations. The food was amazing. We had two different baos and the salmon poke bowl was fresh and the skirt steak was tender savory and amazing. The curry check-in was delicious served on a fluffy bed of rice. 5/5 stars! Dining experience was amazing here. The creative appetizers stole the show – the crab tostones and shrimp poppers were mouth-watering. But the real highlights were the Sake Red Passion and sangria, made with fresh fruit and ridiculously refreshing. And then, there were the noodles... the ramen was hands-down the best I've had in Miami, and the key lime was incredible. Can't wait to come back and try the sushi! Service was top-notch – fast, friendly, and attentive. The open sushi bar is a great touch, allowing you to witness the art of sushi-making. Overall, an outstanding experience that has me eagerly anticipating my next visit!

The food was amazing. We tried different dishes, including sushi, pad Thai all were AMAZING., for the desserts Our favorite was tiramisu. The passion fruit mousse was good but too sweet; the passion fruit margaritas were excellent. The service was amazing. Our waiter, Leo Segura, was amazing. His recommendations were fantastic! The overall atmosphere was pleasant, with good music, clean, and organized.

This was my first time dining at the establishment. I was visiting Doral for the first time in years after moving to the North East and in my time away I’ve heard that the city has undergone a culinary boom and that one of the very best new restaurants was Taikin. I can confidently say that this is one of the best spots in town. Everything from the ambience, food and service was exceptional. There are many places that attempt to fuse Latin cuisine with cuisine from other regions but Taikin nails it right on the food. Flavors were fresh, compelling and creative. Furthermore, Daniela provided my family excellent service and attention. Personal recommendations include their take on the mojito and the Rosa roll. A must checkout if you’re in the area!

Taikin is one of my favorite Asian spots—definitely my go-to. Their lunch special is a standout: the portion sizes are generous, and the price is hard to beat. The food itself is consistently amazing—flavorful, fresh, and truly unique. It's the kind of place you crave after just one visit. That said, the service could use some improvement. During my recent visit, there was a significant delay in getting our food, even though other tables that arrived after us were served first. It felt like there might be a bit of favoritism, especially if you're familiar with the manager. That’s not something you want to see in a restaurant trying to maintain consistent quality and fairness. Also, if you're promoting a lunch special, it’s important that it fits within a typical lunch break timeframe. Long waits can be a dealbreaker for people on a schedule. Overall, the food keeps me coming back, but I really hope the service catches up to the same high standard.

Be sure to make a reservation so your wait is t too long. On our last visit we had Nicole as our server and she was awesome! Be sure to ask for her when you go! Edit: We've visited again and the food and service was just as fantastic as the last time. This time we had Ariana and she made some excellent recommendations. We'll definitely be back again! Also just based on how busy this place is, I recommend reservations if you want to avoid a long wait.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ – Taikin Asian Cuisine (Doral, FL) The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great— our server was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. However, I noticed something that needs attention. The restaurant automatically adds an 18% service charge as an item on the bill, and when the system calculates the total, taxes are applied on top of that service charge. I mentioned it to the server, but the explanation didn’t really make sense. This feels like a bad billing practice, since the tip should be voluntary and should not be taxed as part of the meal. It would be great if management could review this process. Overall, the experience was very good, but this detail takes away from what could have been a perfect visit.

So i met my daughter for lunch and we tried Taikin. Lets see what $100 got us- miso soup, ramen soup, 2 roles, 1 coke plus tip that was included. Was food good? Yes! I’m from NC and was in town for the night, looked up Sushi near me on google. I love sushi and have had it all over the US. This place had a crazy amount of reviews with a 4.9 rating.. The place was beautiful, Staff was AMAZING… but what I came for, ya know, the sushi, it just was NOT it. It was VERY presentable but the taste of the rolls just was NOT it. I had the Miso soup $10 8.7/10, IRENKO ROLL $26 5.1/10, TAIKIN BOMB $24 6.1/10, and TIGER ROLL $20 7.2/10, and a iced tea $6 (per refil) I CANNOT BELIEVE they charged that much for a iced tea and THEN charge me when I needed a refill AND they charge 18% gratuity FOR JUST ME… my bill before tip was $115.92. I have no problem with paying decent to eat good food… I would’ve been mad if my bill was $35.. The truth is it just WAS NOT good tasting food. Everything was great except for the food. AT BEST the price should’ve been half.

The food was absolutely incredible, truly a 10 out of 10. Every dish was excellent. Unfortunately, the service fell short. Our server Leon did not check in on our table unless we specifically called him over, including for refills, ordering, for the check, etc. He spent much of the time at the bar or on his phone and did not proactively attend to his tables. The atmosphere is great and the food quality alone makes this place worth visiting. I would return for the food and hope for a more attentive service experience next time.

We recently visited this restaurant, we went excited about Tanuki Fest, and while it wasn’t bad, it definitely didn’t impress us. The menu felt quite limited , there were only a few main course options, four of them being sushi rolls with very basic flavors, plus one burger. We were expecting something more creative and exciting for a festival concept. The ceviche we ordered came with just two tiny pieces of tostones that honestly looked like they had been bitten, the salmon coquitos were quite good, and the desserts were enjoyable as well. Unfortunately, those were the only standout items for us. Overall, it felt more like a dressed-up lunch special, but at a price point that didn’t quite match the quality or flavor , especially considering the many great dining options available in the area.

ONLY COME HERE FOR SUSHI. Ordered the octopus and the crab tostones for appetizer. Tostones were hard which tells me they were sitting there for a while and reheated. Also under salted and I’m not one for salt! Octopus was under cooked and under seasoned. The lime base made the flavors even more difficult to palate. Two rolls of sushi were great! Beef fried rice as definitely a no! I’m not even sure where to start with the calamity of flavors. Also, overpriced over all and 25% service charge is a little unreasonable for a Publix plaza restaurant.
