Having traveled reasonably extensively, I can say that there is really nowhere else that serves Italian ice like Vecchitto's. The thing I love most is that it still smells the same inside, and the ice still TASTES the same, as it did when I was 6 years old - also the same as when my dad was coming when HE was a kid! There are more flavors now than the 3 or 4 that used to be standard 30 years ago, but the white paper cups are the same, and the Lemon, Watermelon, Banana, and Root Beer, my go-to flavors, haven't changed a bit. We're on a mission to try them all this summer, and so far the Coconut gets my husband's top spot. Never change, Vecchitto's! Middletown is better for you and your family in it.

My favorite italian ice i’ve had so far! We had the coconut, watermelon and pineapple italian ice. Quite busy and parking is a bit hard but line moves along fast! Wish there was seating inside.

Just stopped in for the first time. Its 98 degrees out and the mango/watermelon Italian ice combo is just what I needed to cool down. My kids loved the cherry and watermelon flavors as well. Also very affordable. We will definitely be returning.

Italian ice, done the exact same way over the decades. I grew up on it and still stop by when I’m in town. The almond is my #1, so good!

Has the feel of an old-school family spot. I got the almond italian ice (sounds weird, so my wife thought too, but we both agreed it was EXCELLENT). Old photos and memorabilia on the walls made me nostalgic for a time I've never even experienced. Great place to bring your family on a hot summer afternoon. Parking can get tight/awkward and a little disorganized, but totally worth the visit! Highly recommend.

My husband is from Philly and without a nearby Rita’s, was looking elsewhere for water ice. This is the closest we have found! Flavors are refreshing and perfectly sweetened. Served in the iconic paper cups. Four stars because parking is hard and the inside could use some TLC but we will definitely be back.

Aye t̾e̾r̾p̾y̾fam I've been wanting to ✔️ out VII for yrssss.... I really haven't missed out on too much it seems... The cherry was ultra bright dyed and the lime was gummy bits where the flavor didnt mix in proper. Overall its like an old school icey similar consistency to Marino's you buy in the store. The prices are really good and the paper cup is classic so it's ok on a hot day.

Really cute atmosphere but absolutely atrocious parking. Its along a main road with a lot of traffic and the parking lot maybe able to handle 3 cars. The Italian ice was a nice texture but the syrup flavors were very artificial tasting.

Not very good ice! They claim to be like NY ices- the raspberry didn't have any berry flavor and the almond was just bland.
