I stopped in for a late lunch and had an enjoyable meal. The wait staff was overly friendly and helpful. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The burger I had tasted great and wash fresh and juicy. If you’re in the area in a semi or passing by in your car, stop in and try them out. They are open 24 hours. I’m sure I’ll stop in if I’m back on the area one day.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tried Rustic Café in Midland and it’s a solid go-to spot. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming — very hometown, laid-back vibes that make you want to stay awhile. The breakfast plates are generous, and everything tasted fresh and made-to-order. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs cooked just right, and the coffee kept coming (which I appreciate ☕️). Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of place you can bring family, meet a friend, or just sit and enjoy a good meal. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in Midland and craving classic comfort food done right.

Rustic Cafe offers a delightful variety of dishes, and I particularly enjoyed their Western Omelette. It was a satisfying and filling meal. The service was impeccable; our friendly and attentive server promptly delivered our food. However, I regret to say that I won’t be ordering the Farmhouse Hash again. Despite this minor setback, Rustic Cafe remains a pleasant destination for a truck stop breakfast. We’ll definitely be returning.

New place on the far east of Midland. Friendly staff. I’m rating the food a 5 star ⭐️. Men’s restroom needs more attention. No toilet paper. Hand soap dispenser not working. Trash cans overfilled. Truck parking gets full after 5pm

new Hispanic woman that is working at front register did not want to take my order. this happened at 7:30 a.m. January 22nd 2026. I spoke with the manager right in front of the cashier and asked her if the cashier had an issue with certain people that comes to the cafe to place an order. so the manager is already fully aware of what happened I was standing there for about 7 minutes cashier never said a word to me just walked past the register 4 times never asked if I wanted a menu, never said she'll be with me in a second, nothing she just kept walking from behind a counter back to the tables by the Hispanics who were eating as if that's the only thing she was concerned about. I can understand if you are walking over there to bring food to them but this wasn't the case. after she walked past me the 4th time that's when I was fully aware that she was intentionally doing it to be blatantly disrespectful. so I finally asked her if someone can take my order and then she replied and said okay sure do you want a menu? after already seeing me standing there for 7 minutes. i just thought this was kind of weird to have to ask her after 7 minutes if she can take my order instead of her asking me if I want to place an order. 🙃 All of my experiences at this cafe have been great except for today 1-22-26

I ordered a salad I got a plate of plain lettuce and some dressing they decided to put on it I told them I didn’t want that I wanted a salad which come with tomatoes cheese and all the other stuff and I ordered a brisket queso now the prices come out 7.99 for some lettuce that I didn’t eat 7.99 for the salad I did eat and 9.99 for the queso that had maybe at most a table spoon portion of brisket and a sweet tea for 2.99 I think after taxes it was 31.02 keep in mind a head of lettuce at most is 99¢ to at most 2 dollars so I paid for a salad that I didn’t eat nor want had to ask a different waitress to hand me the cup of tea the waitress that was serving me had prepared because she walked by like three times and I had already been out of something to drink then I get the tea it’s not even sweet it’s unsweetened but that’s besides the point I don’t think I will ever stop and eat here again hope this helps with your decision to eat here or not the salad in the picture is what I was wanting and what I got was a plate of iceberg lettuce chopped up with ceaser dressing which looked absolutely disgusting if you look at the queso there was not even a decent portion of brisket……….. I asked the lady in charge if she was charging me for both salads and instead of making it right she said yes pay for both……. Truck drivers are not made of money like everyone thinks we deal with enough issues through out the day and when we come to sit down and enjoy a meal issues still arise EVERYONE HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND THANK A TRUCKER FOR EVERYTHING YOUR ABLE TO BUY BECAUSE WITHOUT US OUT HERE MAKING THE SACRIFICE OF BEING AWAY FROM OUR LOVED ONES YOU WOULD NOT HAVE NOTHING ON YOUR DINNER TABLE

Yea, I ain’t eating here again. The food was ugly, the waitress was even worse. No refills. Asked for salsa, and she said “yes we have some” never brought it, asked again, never brought it. Than I’m waiting for her to come over so I can cash out.. nothing. Waiting… I got up paid, no tip and got the hell out of there.

It took an hour for us to get our food. I got the chopped sirloin and asked for no mushrooms, just sautéed onions and brown gravy, and it had mushrooms on it. I was also overcooked. The server never came and asked us how our food was. When we went to check out, they could not find our ticket. Come to find out that they charged someone else for our food. Then had us pay for that other table’s food. When to be honest, our food was paid for and we shouldn’t have had to pay for someone else else’s food. They charged someone else for our food. Our ticket was actually more than the other tables ticket.

The hamburger had a funny taste, the French fries. Were cold but we need from a gas station, what can you expect? Put down the phone. I do not recommend this place. One star all the way, horrible food.
