Recensioni di Concept Caffè Milano
Obviously a staple in Georgetown with great reputation. Had a nice meal again. The maitre d was able to get us a table last minute. Service was exceptional. This is what a professional staff and extraordinary restaurant looks like.
I would say this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Washington D.C. Located in an excellent part of Washington , in Georgetown, this place offers an extremely good quality service and food. From appetizers to desserts, passing through pastas, pizzas, meats and fish… none of them will disappoint your taste buds. You can clearly identify that pasta is handmade and the cooking point “al dente” is definitely achieved. I was recommended to order a risotto with beet and duck stuffed legs which was extraordinary. Cocktails here are above average, the flavors mixed into a single glass are simply incredible with quantities correctly measured. Service here was excellent, with an attentive staff making sure you don’t miss anything during your meal from start to end. They had knowledge of the whole menu and were able to provide recommendations. Price obviously goes aligned with the location, quality of food an service provided and is above average but without reaching extremes. Price of each plate is worth the experience. I recommend Cafe Milano for a special occasion, or even for a casual date to taste the Italian scent of this place.
Café Milano is a classic for me in Georgetown! The quality is truly outstanding; the milanese is excellent and the linguine is among the best I’ve had. The atmosphere and service complement the experience perfectly. Highly recommended.
Nice Christmas decorations. Simply best Italian restaurant in DC.. Grilled calamari was so tender and juicy and cauliflower soup is full of flavor with truffle. Holiday specials main dishes like squid ink pasta and dover/branzino are super tasty. Tiramisu for dessert is never disappointing.
Cafe Milano DC was an exceptional experience. I was there two weeks ago visiting my daughter at Georgetown and we had a wonderful family outing after the basketball game. It was phenomenal experience, our server was David and he is a good ambassador for the restaurant and we felt at home.He recommended wonderful dishes and he knew a lot about the food. After we finished he suggested we check out the piano bar down the street. Thanks for the great experience, we will be back again soon
We were treated really well, and the food was exceptional. David, our server, was kind and friendly. The only thing that felt off was that the restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, and we were seated upstairs in a much smaller area. As others were brought upstairs, one party was notably loud, and the common thread was our attire. Dress appropriately or they will sit you upstairs away from the more dressed up (well-mannered) guests who were in the downstairs area.
Amazing experience at Cafe Milano, authentic Italian food, amazing atmosphere and unmatched service. Candido and the staff made us feel welcome since the beginning and helped us prepare a fantastic Wine Dinner for my Perbacco Wine Club. As an italian I was stunned by the quality of the ingredients and by the cuisine. The Linguine allo scoglio could easily be as good as a Posillipo restaurant, the Veal as good as the one in the best restaurant in Tuscany. Incredible experience, it was an honor to organize an event here and all my guests were stunned by the quality of the food. I want to thank the staff and Mr Giuseppe Lonardo for hooking me up with the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy I’ve ever been to.
Had high expectations for our first to Cafe Milano visit given the reputation and found it to be excellent. The service is what really distinguished our experience. The server and the whole team were exceptional. They were attentive, warm, helpful, speedy, and friendly. The food was great in that they really let the flavors speak for themselves without too much seasonings or overcomplicated dishes with too many ingredients. Just really well designed and executed dishes. Loved our cocktails and wine selection too.
We had a great experience with this restaurant. We haven’t reservation and in a lunch time the administrator found free table for our family. Firstly the menu looks fancy, but the food is great! You can see our empty plates on foto, because I haven’t opportunity to take a picture before, food was delicious. My picky kids also were very satisfied. The food inspired us for glass of wine, and the wine was absolutely wonderful and in a good cool temperature. Thank you for this lunch and have a good customers!
We had a great lunch here. The Milano salad was super fresh, the bruschetta was delicious, and both pastas were solid—the seafood pasta full of flavor (but knocked food to 4 because it’s a lemon pasta and didn’t get much lemon flavor); and the angel hair light and delicious. Everything tasted really well done without being overcomplicated. Service was fantastic and friendly, and the whole vibe made it easy to just relax and enjoy. Definitely a place to check out.
Cafe Milano has a great vibe - highly recommend for a fun night out in Georgetown. The food, decor and service are all good - but nothing to write home about. This place is all about the atmosphere. Lives up to the hype of the DC scene… politicians, news anchors, and other dc celebrities at various tables. Fun people watching, and good Italian fare to accompany. Great place.
Cafe Milano is an amazing place! The food was excellent, especially the starters – I highly recommend not missing the stuffed zucchini flowers with cheese. The service was outstanding, with a special shoutout to our waiter, Yosef, who made the experience even better. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. This was our second time visiting, and we will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!
Cafe Milano is a Washington institution by now and it has gone through different phases. I know the owners I know the people that work there had dinner last night and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The service good and the devil is in the details. Love the bottle of olive oil on the table, love the quality of the breads, and the wine selection is pretty decent. Always recommended.
Fantastic. Front of house staff were very accommodative when we requested an earlier seating time. Our waiter gave some great recommendations, and service was impeccable. I highly recommend the tuna, fruits of the sea pasta and seabass. Great choice of non-alcoholic drinks as well, including some great mocktails. All in all, a fantastic laid back restaurant with first class service and high quality food. Great job.
We stumbled on this place walking around Georgetown and it has a super cute sidewalk patio. The hostess seated us immediately even though we didn’t have a reservation. Our server was extremely attentive and the food was delicious. Simple ingredients and amazing flavor. Would totally come back. Make sure to get the tiramisu!
Long time DC resident, first time diner. Solid food and service. Lovely and gracious staff. Food recommendations were on target. Classic Italian. No glitterati the night I was there—but a quiet and enjoyable meal
We visited Café Milano again this Christmas Eve — our second year in a row — and once again had a wonderful experience. The service here is consistently excellent. Every server we’ve had has been attentive, professional, and warm. You can tell the staff really care about making sure guests are taken care of, and that level of attentiveness makes a big difference, especially on a busy holiday night. The food was good both times we visited. Although the portions are on the smaller side. Still, we enjoyed it. The only downside for us is the spacing and acoustics of the restaurant. The tables are quite close together, and with how busy it gets, you often have to raise your voice just to hear the person sitting next to you. The space feels a bit tight, and the noise level can take away from the dining atmosphere. Overall, though, Café Milano continues to be a great holiday tradition for us. The excellent service, quality food, and festive energy keep us coming back.
I think the place is small, which is why it's so noisy, since you can practically sit shoulder to shoulder. The service is impeccable, and the food is like any other good restaurant, but the presentation is beautiful. It's quite expensive. The best part was the dessert, exquisite.
Came here for lunch time on a Saturday and we really enjoyed ourselves. The highlight was definitely the staff. They were attentive, funny, and I could tell they cared about us having a good time. Admittedly, I wasn't blown away by my pasta selections. I split my options with the tagliatelle and pappardelle. My friend got the linguine b johnson and a truffle pasta (forgetting the name). As a whiskey lover, the vecchia moda was tasty. Since it was the most popular cocktail, I also tried the blasonato. For the blasonato, I wouldn't order it again, but since I was told many people love it, I'm assuming it's a me problem. Wine pours felt a bit light for what we're used to. Typically, restaurants give 5 oz pours. The waiter confirmed we were receiving 3 or 3.5 oz pours. This isn't a cheap place so I wish I would have been blown away by the pasta but the service and atmosphere mostly made up for it in my opinion.
I was very excited to go celebrate my birthday at Cafe Milano. I was invited by a friend that talked highly about the place. When we arrived, the hostess bas vey nice and found us a great table. The servers did an outstanding job similar to Michelin star establishments. They could not do a better job. We had the ahi tuna tartare and the mozzarella with tomato and anchovies. Great presentation but poor taste. We then got a halibut and a veal chop with porcini mushroom. The plates came out picture perfect. Halibut was overcooked and dry, celery as decoration was a great addition to the dish. The veal chop looked divine. But was ok. NO porcini mushroom but a wild mushroom mix. Veal reduction sauce was creamy, which is ok but had maybe 1 tablespoon. Came with 3 homemade long potato chips, good. The veal chop was tasteless and lacking seasoning. Their cappuccino are out of this world!!!We will be back to give them another chance. But it was for sure not the best dining experience.
Very rude staff. Called about being potentially 10 minutes late to a reservation on Valentines Day. Front desk worker responded “ugh I don’t know about that… we can’t have people being late especially today.” Once we were at the table the whole experience felt rushed with the staff prioritizing throughput of patrons to maximize profit versus service. Waiters only would take your entire order at once to rush you through. Would not recommend coming here on a special day.
