The lunch special and service were simply amazing. The portion and the variety...you can't find it anywhere for $15. It was also a pleasant experience to dine in. The waiter and waitress were really nice. Will definitely come back.
Delicious experience. I've been here a couple of times and the food is always on point I had Mongolian beef, broccoli and smal portion of fried rice plus sweetand sourpork. The service was great and friendly. The price range is very reasonable and the amount of food enough to share if wanted.
We got the pre-fixe menu for $39/person! So worth it. The food was really good and the portions were solid! Three of us shared our meals and enjoyed our meals. My favorite entree was the braised beef clay pot! The drinks were also really delicious. I got a Lychee Martini. Tony was a great server and so attentive! Will definitely come back :)
After seeing so many reels on Instagram, I have been curious to try it out. Lucky for me, an opportunity came up the other day! So, Jing Li is a modern Chinese fusion restaurant that is inspired by Szechuan, Shanghai, and Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant brings a unique twist to global flavors, creating delicious dishes. I highly recommend the Dinner 4 Course Prix Fixe. You can choose one of three soups (Hot & Sour Soup, Wonton Soup, or Tom Yum Soup), an appetizer or dim sum (except the Dim Sum Tasting), an entree (except MaLa Day Hot Pot), and a dessert (Crème Brûlée or Mochi Ice Cream). I would suggest ordering the Royal Style Barbeque Beef. The beef was tender and delicious! The spices and peppers give it a nice kick, but do not make the overall dish too spicy. The fire underneath kept the dish warm and made an appealing dish to watch! One of the appetizers that I enjoyed was the Lychee Prawn Cake. Prawns are shaped and lightly fried to this beautifully, lychee-looking cake pop. The prawn cake is very light and tasty, even better if you use the sauce provided too, although not necessarily needed! While the Crème Brûlée was small, it was still tasty. The caramel top was hard enough for the audible crack without the need to apply too much pressure. The custard underneath was not overly sweet! Service is perfect too! The staff are attentive and frequently walk around, checking in on the table. The dishes come in a timely manner that does not make you wait for long! I will be returning soon to try the other dishes. There are still a ton of appetizers and entrees that I have been meaning to try!
I love Jing li and have been coming since they’ve opened! The food is really good, and the staff has always been very nice and prompt! Their Dan Dan noodles were amazing and our friends and I would always get them every time we went, they were some of the best in LIC! PLEASE put them back on the menu, they went well with everything! Their happy hour is all day on the weekdays and until 7 on weekends, with a great selection of drinks and food! Can’t wait to eat here again! (With Dan Dan noodles… hopefully)
Came here for my birthday dinner on a cool fall evening. Highly recommend their 4-course Option where you can pick a soup, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. We got the hot and sour soup and wonton soup, Wagyu, beef, potstickers, and popcorn, chicken, peppercorn, fish, and beef cubes, and one of each dessert parentheses crème brûlée and mochi ice cream). The servers were extremely kind and food came promptly. Tables are very comfortable as well. Great experience!
Keeping it real out here in LIC Their pre fix menu is actually insane. For $33 we were expecting tiny appetizer, alright sized entree and tiny dessert but everything actually came out supersized. Each of the appetizers alone can be shareable for 3 ppl, they’re actual entree size appetizers. We were all pretty full before the entree even showed up. Mochi ice cream for dessert was a nice touch Our host Tony is friendly, attentive and just great to be around. Solid solid spot
We stopped in in he middle of the week for a bite. The drinks definitely were enjoyble. E perfect balance of sweet and potent. The shrimp tempura was very light with a slightly sweet aoili. We had the duck mins one braised, and crispy both were delicious. We had to try the truffle fried rice although our dishes came with a side of white rice. It is light, and not salty at all. We thoroughly enjoyed all out dish. We will be back.
Went here for dinner and overall had a good time. There is a 4 course dinner special for $33 that is a great deal. The ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant was gorgeous and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend the crispy wings and the wonton soup, however the Thai basil beef cubes and the tomahawk short rib were a bit on the chewy side.
The interior design and the whole environment was the most memorable part of the visit, but unfortunately, the food does not leave any strong remarks. Avoid the chicken wings — they were oily and very heavily flavored, but didn't leave a very satisfactory feeling. The fried rice was also surprisingly plain, as if they forgot to add salt. While the flavor of the steamed fish was acceptable, the portion was disappointing (check the photo for reference). It’s a beautiful space, but the kitchen needs more consistency and better portions.
The food's alright. I got the 4-course pre-fixe menu. It's a 4-course lunch/dinner with soup, appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It's a pretty good deal. The service could be better, though. Our host forgot our silverware and the dessert. I wish they were more on top of things. And the restaurant wasn't even busy, so you'd think they'd be more attentive.
Service was good, food was passable. Black Truffle with Beef Cubes: Do not get this. I was looking forward to it as the dish was described on the menu as a “24 hour braise”. What we got was definitely not that. The beef was tough and stringy. Eating this became a mini jaw workout. Ended up looking forward more to flossing my teeth after. Sauce was alright — sweet and savory, with a subtle truffle flavor. There was no saving this dish due to the texture of the meat (especially given how it was described on the menu). Mongolian Jue Jue Pot with Chicken: The chicken was juicy, so that was good. Otherwise, it seemed like the standard stir fry with extra black pepper added to it. They put the little metal dish it’s served in, on a small pedestal that has a flame in it to make it look fancier. Overall, dissatisfied with the food although the service was friendly. Would skip this place.
I was really disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered four dishes, and two of them were a letdown. The first appetizer — braised beef and beef tendon — was actually pretty good. But then the second dish, braised organic duck, came out full of necks and wings, and I could only find one small piece of actual meat. When I asked the manager about it, he said that’s just how the dish is made. I paid $28 just to eat a pile of bones? He replaced it with a crispy duck, which did have meat, but the duck itself had no flavor at all — it only tasted decent with the dipping sauce. Next, I ordered stir-fried water spinach, but they brought stir-fried watercress instead, and it was really tough. I didn’t even bother asking them to change it. The last dish, mapo tofu, was fine — probably the only one worth eating. Service was also painfully slow. I had to wait so long between dishes that my rice got cold before the next one arrived. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.
