Food was amazing! Only blue lady we saw was my blue lady drink which was fine with me. Lol I had shrimp cocktail and french onion soup and bread was served at table. Waitress was good at her job and due to our anniversary we got a free dessert of our choice. We reserved a table and hostess stated when u reserve they make sure to set u by the window which looks out to the ocean. This is a must do if in area!
Wow this restaurant is spectacular! Gorgeous views from indoors and outdoors. Pretty limited on vegetarian portions, but they were willing to make their costal omelet vegetarian for me. Highly recommend making reservations for the Sunday brunch, there were quite a few people waiting. They were kind enough to accommodate our request to sit at a window. Lots of dogs in the outdoor seating area, we will have to return with our pups.
What a wonderful dining experience! I loved everything I ate and the ocean view setting was hard to beat! We shared the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were amazing! I also enjoyed the beer battered artichokes. My mushroom ravioli were delicious and the pine nuts made them even better. I had a Seal Cove Caipirinha that was a great cocktail! Our server was efficient and engaging. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant.
i Love the Moss Beach Distillery, the most romantic place to dine in NorCal. i enjoy the surf & turf, tiger prawns the size of your fist, clam chowder, roasted garlic, steaks cooked to perfection, seared tuna, fish tacos, and tender calamari. the sunset deck is absolutely the best! sit in hand-made wooden chairs and swing benches, swaddle yourself in their provided woolen blankets, relax beside your loved ones in front of the fire pits with drinks or food and watch the sunset from atop the Blue Lady's cliff. As a former coastal hotel, the Moss Beach Distillery comes complete with its own legendary ghosts that haunt the cliffs, beach and restaurant. go to the Moss Beach Distillery and have a romantic experience you'll never forget!
Delicious food, enticing natural setting. And they have a cozy outside dining area with fireplaces to stay warm. Dog friendly. Killer clam chowder. One suggestion: the bowl of clam chowder is so shallow that there isn’t much soup inside it. Disappointing for the high price of it. Wonderful happy hour. Get the Cioppino!
Great views, good food, a cool building, and a ghost story! The location is the sell and the food doesn’t hurt. They have a brunch $42/person which includes champagne/mimosas, some fruit and pasties and an entree. I enjoyed the crab cakes benedict. Go for a walk nearby in Fitzgerald Marine Reserve after your meal to walk off that dessert.
We dined outside because we had our dog with us, we were comfortable despite the foggy cool weather thanks to lava pit warmers. The food was on spot, we had the French onion soup, which was superb, fish and chips, batter was crisp and light, the cod was tender and perfectly cooked, fried calamari, again crisp and light batter, and tender rings and tentacles, and crab cakes which were good, a bit bready for my taste, but still pretty tasty. The cole slaw was delish, and the tartar sauce and other sauces were really good. The mimosa was great, and so was the negroni. Average price, exceptional location and view. A definite "must go again" spot, we saw a few dishes go by we would like to try, i.e. the clam chowder, and the oysters.
The food was great. Expensive, but delicious and the wait was short. $142 for 4 meals, 1 salad and 2 drinks. We had: coast sliders, martinis(blue lady+Mandarin cosmopolitan).yellowfin tuna steak. Employees were very friendly, view was amazing. Got to sit outside with an ocean view. Don’t like that they allow dogs in the dining area ☹️ Interior is very, very old and needs renovating. (Also, this place is not a distillery, just fyi).
Wish I could give 6 stars for location and atmosphere. Love the history of this old building and the views from dining rooms or patio make this a destination. Food is consistently good. Drinks are generous and delicious. Always have a good time here brunch, lunch or dinner.
Decided to go out for a drive today down highway 1 and stop by a wonderful establishment Moss Beach distillery upon entering the grounds we were taking in by the beauty of the ocean and the sites that has to offer an aroma of food caught our attention party of two seated by a window great vibe not too busy. Very local. food was great too. Devil sliders with onion rings and garlic fries. Very tasty! Cherry wood smoked bacon on slider and cremini mushroom with Swiss. All in all great food great place to stop by on a weekend. Will come again.
Enjoy breathtaking ocean views while dining on their expansive outdoor seating area. Indoors, you'll find comfortable seating alongside a delightful selection of cocktails and delectable food choices. Due to its popularity, it is advisable to make reservations by calling ahead to ensure a spot at this bustling establishment.
For a drink and a small bite, the food was great, service was excellent, and the view was to die for! It was a beautiful day so I sat outside. Even with just a few people sitting outside, the staff was very attentive coming out to check on my needs throughout my meal
We enjoyed a delicious weekday lunch here after hiking along nearby Pillar Point Bluff. We sat on the patio and took in the ocean views, the sound of crashing waves, and the warmth of the outdoor fire pits. The fried artichoke appetizer was wonderfully fresh and not too greasy. My friend raved about the French onion soup. I very much enjoyed the vegetarian sandwich that was packed with flavor, veggies and cheese. The accompanying sweet potato fries paired well with the aioli dip. We shared the warm apple tart for dessert with coffee. I could’ve used a little more whipped cream, but it was a delicious sweet treat to wrap up lunch. My friend thought service was a bit slow, but why hurry when you can savor the spectacular oceanfront view?!!
They try to sit people next to the windows without asking, and they arrange most tables to have a view of the ocean. The burger was good, the clams Distillery Steamer was phenomenal. I only did not like the French fries, they felt frozen. Ample parking - if you arrive in time. The beach is close, so the two dozen spots might fill up. But there were still 3-4 spots when we left at 2pm on Sunday. Dog friendly, bunch of dog owners sitting outside - yes, you need to stick to the patio if you bring your pet.
Sat in the bar area so you order at the bar since we didn't have a reservation, but service was quick and food was hot. Picked a selection from the appetizers and main menu and all of our selections were great. Artichoke hearts, surf sliders and the fried seafood assortment.
Absolutely fantastic experience and we had heard such from other locals. We reserved ahead, got seated immediately when we got there. Our waiter and bussing-staff was attentive, making sure we always had water, drinks, and a clean table when we were done with plates. The food here is great! We recently visited Mezza Luna in Princeton — this is far, far better. Portion size is great for the price and everything is served with great appeal to the eye. Our table bread and butter was warm. The fried calamari was delicious and came with coleslaw and tartar sauce. We split the ocean sliders and chicken marsala; the sliders were good, but one had a LOT of ginger in it which almost startled us because our mouths started tingling. Thought we were having an allergic reaction was all, but it was the ginger. Anyway, the chicken marsala was good in my opinion — very saucy and flavorful — but my partner mistook it with masala so she wasn’t expecting the flavor. We finished it off with a apple pastry and it was scrumptious. The final bill ended up being $120 I believe, a fair price for a nice date. Other patrons were nice and polite. The view is absolutely amazing on a sunny day (which can be rare in Moss Beach). The only downside to this restaurant is that there is no online reservation, only by phone. A little inconvenient for both parties, but it’s okay.
Had a wonderful dinner last night. The seafood quesadilla was very good. They have a variety of coffee drinks for after dinner. My wife and I had different ones.
This was our first time here. We are visiting from Seattle. This is by far the best place we have encountered in California. The food, drinks and dessert are awesome. The views are breathtaking. Our waiter Chris is phenomenal and the manager Beverly is the bomb. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️
Loved it! Me and my family have been going here as far back as I can remember. The steamers are delicious every single time! Sitting on the back patio watching the waves crash while enjoying dinner with loved ones can't be beat. The service is always good and the atmosphere is so relaxed it makes for a great spot for anyone looking for a delicious meal. It's worth the drive!
Moss Beach Distillery is a historic gem that perfectly combines the beauty of the California coast with a world-class dining experience. From the moment you arrive, you are struck by the stunning view of the sunset over the ocean, which sets the tone for a truly memorable meal. The service at Moss Beach Distillery is professional and attentive, with the staff going out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The views from the dining room are simply stunning, providing a front-row seat to one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world. If you prefer to dine outside, the charming patio is the perfect spot to soak up the ocean breeze and enjoy a delicious meal. For an even more memorable experience, be sure to ask about "The Blue Lady," the famous ghost that haunts the restaurant. The staff are happy to share the entertaining haunted history of the restaurant, which adds an extra layer of intrigue and excitement to your dining experience. If you want to secure a window seat with a view, it is recommended that you make a reservation. The restaurant can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, so it is best to plan ahead. The food at Moss Beach Distillery is just as impressive as the views. The menu is full of delicious, fresh, and inventive dishes that perfectly complement the coastal setting. Whether you are in the mood for fresh seafood, juicy steak, or a vegetarian option, there is something for everyone. Overall, Moss Beach Distillery is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty and history of the California coast while enjoying exceptional food and service. Whether you are a local or a tourist, this iconic restaurant is sure to leave a lasting impression.
The restaurant is very charming and sits on top of a cliff by the ocean, for being a historic landmark they even have their own ghost, the “Blue Lady”. To honor our friend from afterlife, I ordered the drink named after her and my partner got a Caipirinha, both drinks were tasty and refreshing. As a Brazilian I acknowledged that the bartender did a great job preparing our national drink. Foodwise, we got started with their yummy bread rolls and a delicious portion of Calamari. Crisp, tasty and light, with the right texture to it. For our main dish, we got the Seafood sliders and the Pork Chops with mashed potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I particularly loved the sauce that comes with the ribs, paired amazingly with the sides and the meat. We were very full but did not want to skip dessert completely so we also ordered their chocolate cake to go, simple but well made. We had the privilege of seating by the windows in the upper level which added to the whole experience. Our amazing host and server, Susan, if Im not mistaken, took great care of us a true sweet lady. To sum up, Moss Beach Distillery is definitely worth the visit, specially for a date or special occasion.
This is such a great spot, tucked away in the hills of the Half Moon Bay coast. It is right next to the cypress grove, which is very neat and you should stop there too. We have come here twice, once for happy hour and once for dinner and we have loved both of our stops. Good and fun drink options. Food is all really good, and plenty of variety, it is a bit pricey but this location is just so great!
🌊 Moss Beach Distillery – Where Romance Meets the Sea 🐾🍽️ If you're craving fresh seafood with a side of Pacific views, Moss Beach Distillery is your dreamy escape. Nestled on a rugged cliffside, this women-owned gem offers a cozy, casual vibe with a touch of old-school romance. The dog-friendly patio? A total win for your furry date. Whether you're sipping wine by the fire pit or watching the waves crash at sunset, it's the perfect spot to fall in love—with the view, the food, or your dining companion. 🌅🐶💕 Must try: Crab cakes, chowder, and any excuse to stay for dessert.
Food was good. Large portions and delicious. We had a seat by the window and it was great! Make reservations in advance and get a window seat. Beautiful views of the ocean. Service/food was a bit slow at times, but everyone was super kind! I would definitely put this on my list to revisit. Dogs are allowed and they do have a patio with fire pits.
We were on our road trip and came across this place without even seeing the menu. Glad we tried it out, the food was amazing. I tried the seafood platter and I was stuffed. It’s big so if you don’t like a lot of food the Seafood platter will be too big. The building is friendly and has nice view of the water/ cliff. The staff were nice and friendly with free WiFi. Highly recommend trying this place out!!
We love this place. It has every right to be pretentious, but it isn’t. I don’t like to use the word amazing often, but this place has an amazing view, whether inside or out. The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient, the food is delicious (we have worked our way around the menu and are always pleased) and the environment is perfect. This one is an easy 5 star review and we’ll keep coming back every time we’re in the area.
I came here for the first time for my birthday with my daughter and my boyfriend. I had the fresh chilled oysters and they were big and so good! I also had that clam chowder and the Distillery Steamers. Best steamed clams I've ever had. My daughter loved her French Onion soup and stuffed Salmon. My boyfriend had the linguine Alfredo with prawns. Everything was amazing. I had The Executive from the warm drinks menu and it tasted really great. Highly recommended this place. Wear something warm if you plan to eat at the downstairs patio. Reservations suggested for eating inside and you can't beat the view at this place.
Great food and views of the Pacific. We went on a Friday afternoon and wasn’t too crowded. We started with the calamari appetizer and bread, and it was delicious! I had the coast sliders for my entree. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. My boo liked his pork chop dish. Also ordered a refreshing caipirinha. Will be coming back!
Top notch place for food and spirits. We are in the bar (there was a 45 min wait for the restaurant). Chris (the bartender) was an awesome person. Met some very nice people out here (e.g. Mike). Very isolated, beautiful seascape, hiking trail, park, nearby. We even saw som lazy sea lions (basking in the sun).
This classic Bay Area spot is full of history and also great food. It can be hard to get a table when the weather is popping, but that ahi tuna sandwich and their fries, oh, and the fried artichokes, are worth it… oh and it’s overlooking the gorgeous ocean if you are into that sort of thing, 😆
Very beautiful view, I got a table by the window and it was the most peaceful experience watching the ocean. They have a great selection of food, healthy options, I got onion soup and pesto salmon w/ veggies. I liked that but was a little too fried, and crispy for me that’s why it’s 4stars
Amazing atmosphere! We loved the view of the water and the distinctive historic preservation! The food was very expensive and just okay for the price. 11$ for 4 shrimp is quite a lot. But the views make it worthwhile. Have heard you can sometimes see whales from your dinner table! How cool.
We love this place! The view is beautiful ! The location is perfect. Welcoming smiles when you walk in. Our server Kate was so sweet and attentive. She knew what to do even before we asked her. Our food was fresh, looked fantastic, and the flavors were phenomenal . Next time, we hope to try out the patio . Thank you !!
I have never stated to having a perfect dining experience until today. Sweet Beverly greeted us at the door and made you feel so welcome. The scenery of the ocean and waves where breathtaking, and the food, Salmon, shrimp, Calamari where so perfectly cooked you wanted to give the cooks a tip, I truly can say anything negative about this place!
WOW!!! everything we ordered was very very good!!! Fried calamari, Linguine La Mare, clams, crab, seafood sliders, chocolate tort gluten free!!, seafood quesadillas….saw crab cakes that looked amazing…plus a few other items on the menu I wanted to try like the pork chops…I MUST come back!!! Crazy Views of the ocean…this place must be hopping in the summer time…the outside dining looks amazing
Crab season made this lunch date with my husband extra special. The drive was beautiful, the setting felt like a peaceful ocean cottage, and the crab was exceptionally fresh and perfectly prepared. Garlic sauce and cioppino were both excellent, and the service was warm and attentive. We’ll definitely be back—especially during crab season
Just a parking lot away from the world famous Moss Beach Distillery my old pal Squirtle Hardback, but we just call him Turtle has lived and prospered for about 30 years. Every time I'm in the area I swing by for a visit, and we walk over to the Distillery for a great lunch. I typically have seafood for obvious reasons but today the Turtle suggested I get their signature burger on toasted sourdough with grilled onion, monterey jack cheese and of course bacon. What a surprise! The burger was deliciously spectacular in every way! Well worth a two hour drive! ☆☆☆☆☆
Moss Beach Distillery - wonderful place to relax and enjoy the coast. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the ocean view is absolutely beautiful. The decorative fire pits make the atmosphere feel so cozy and warm, especially as the sun sets. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful meal or drinks while enjoyin the wave and the ocean
Dog friendly! Make sure you get a reservation if you want to sit at the patio. I got here at 12 pm (I had a reservation) when they opened and the tables out here filled up quick. It was nice out today with some breeze so I wasn't too hot or cold. They do offer umbrellas if you don't like the sun. I got the cioppino and it was loaded. It was absolutely delicious. My server was very attentive and their service was excellent. I'll come here again and try to get a sunset slot.
We really had a great time here tonight. We sat on a bench seat on the patio and got to watch the sunset over the ocean. It was very comfortable and relaxing and fun. The waiter was a little stressed because he was the only one available but he did a great job and we didn’t feel like we had to wait extra for our food at all. We had the crabcakes which were OK not fantastic. I had the seared yellowfin tuna and it was really great. Hubby had the halibut special and it was really really good. He also had the Elysian lager and he really liked it. They were out of Sauvignon Blanc so I had the Chardonnay which was just OK. Kind of weird to be out of Sauvignon Blanc. The atmosphere on the patio was really fun and festive. We really enjoyed our evening here!
From the beginning we got a warm welcome from the hostess, that told us she’s been working here for 31 years. She helped us get our preferred table outside to get the stunning views, where we spotted a pod of hump whales, and Rosie who was our server, brought binoculars for us. Rosie’s service was excellent, she was always keen to help us with great disposition and attention. The food was excellent too. Would definitely come back to Moss Beach Distilery
Perfect place to watch the sunset, indoors or at the patio with fire pits. Food is good and staff is friendly. Plenty of parking and not too crowded. We had the Seafood Platter, Sole, and crab cakes. Good discovery for us and we’ll be back. 2 years later: The food was just as good. We were watching many groups of pelicans flying north along the coast. However, with rising costs, we spent close to $100/person. Tuesday night dining was not too crowded or noisy.
Great wait staff and great view and food to match. Cioppino was on point and probably one of the best Cioppino's I've had in the bay. Yes better than moonraker!!! Drinks were solid and well made. We made a perilous bike ride from Ocean ciders to Moss Beach and this was the best destination for our Journeys. Ended up picking up a sweatshirt for our ride back. Thanks y'all!!!
We enjoyed our visit despite not loving the fish taco. It did not have much flavor at at all. The cheese bread was missing the pesto that was advertised on the menu. The fish and chips were very enjoyable. The facility was neat and clean. Chris was an attentive, and busy, bartender. When we arrived we stood at the hostess station for a short while but we were soon greeted with a smiling lady. It was a good experience, and worth a return visit.
Really delicious food in an incredibly beautiful area. This was my girlfriend and I's second time visiting and our second visit was just as good as the first. We both loved our dishes (Chicken Marsala and the Pork Chops) and were blown away by the amazing view from the patio. Come visit this restaurant if you want a solid dining experience in a stunning venue with friendly service.
This place is very popular! Be prepared to spend some time finding a parking 😃 The food are mostly delicious and with large portions. Only item below my expectations was the oyster. It was not as good as I expected for a seaside place restaurant. Overall it was a great dining experience for me. I probably will come again if travel near by.
Could this place use some updating and maintenance? Yes. Could they crank it up a notch with the food quality? Sure. Should this local icon actually change anything? No. Always love this place and its laid back atmosphere, great views, and super friendly service.
Had lunch here as it was in the middle of the loop we walked. I thought it was perfect because they don't open until 12pm and we stopped here on the way back. We were there around 1/130pm on a Saturday and it was already busy. Decided to sit at bar because wait time was about an hour. Although, we would have preferred to sit outside, we enjoyed the bar. Ordered a drink right away but took the food a while to be served. Drink: Berry Crush Appetizer: Crispy Buttermilk Calamari Lunch: Linguine di Mare (pictured) I enjoyed all of it and finished my plate. I would love to go back and try one of their other dishes. **there is a free parking lot next to restaurant, but on busy days, may be hard to find a spot. **beautiful outdoor seating **pet friendly for outdoor dining **nice place to refuel after walking the beautiful trails OR to enjoy as a date outing.
Amazing views along the California coast, overlooking Moss Beach, from a historic former prohibition speakeasy. The service was prompt, the food smelled great/portions generous (although we just stopped for drinks and didn't order food this time), the drinks were stiff. Even a little story of a famed ghost known to haunt the property. A little gem, and access to the tucked away little beach. Worth the visit.
The food was solid. Service was slow, but good. (Not sure, but felt they might have been unexpectedly short staffed.) The view was spectacular, over looking a cove. The patio is dog friendly. We had the Cab Benedict Brunch, served in a tomato instead of English muffin, with crispy side potatoes and sliders with buttermilk onion rings.
Great meal—burger, seafood quesadilla, tuna sashimi, fries. Onion rings were fabulous. However, stay away from the crabcakes. They look generous but have so much bread in them they might as well be a muffin. No crab taste at all. One disappointment in an otherwise great meal. BTW, the server was great.
Prepare for long wait unless you have reservation. Even with reservation there will be wait. The location is very nice and staff is generally friendly. We got drinks, tacos, garlic bread and few things. The taco was fresh and yummy that wanted another one. Found food good and ambiance. The view from patio is just beautiful. Overall great place, but limited veggie or vegan options.
We saw the sign out on the highway and were thrilled to find a hidden distillery! Ooops, it's not actually a distillery! It was time for lunch and a break from the road so it was well worth the stop even without the craft spirits!! The view is spectacular and the history is a fun addition to our travels. It was raining so no outside seating, we enjoyed everything from the dry warmth inside. The staff was very subdued, not really friendly, just going through the motions and providing basic service. The chowder tasted like a cream of something soup with clams in it so I wasn't impressed! However, the grilled fish tacos were wonderful with plenty of fish and a super tasty and spicy sauce that was amazing! The soft corn tortillas mad them perfect! Hubby's burger was just okay, some seasoning definitely would have helped and the bacon needed to be cooked a bit longer. All in all, a nice experience and would return those those views any time!
Made a reservation for Saturday night on the patio and got to enjoy the sunset with a great ocean view. Would recommend a reservation if you want to guarantee a spot on the patio during peak hours, but looks like you could also see the ocean from some of the tables inside as well. It got a bit chilly after the sun set, there were some fire pits the staff lit but you could only feel the warmth if seated directly next to them. Also, a lot of dogs on the patio but they were mainly well behaved. Standard fare for a seafood place, prices are a bit high considering the food quality but makes sense based on the location and view. Liked that they had warm cocktail options since it got chilly during the night. Clearly labelled vegan options on the menu. Got the battered artichokes hearts (with spicy ketchup and citrus vinaigrette instead of ranch). Really tasty and went well with the alternate vegan sauces. For entrees we got the pasta primavera and veggie tacos (both made vegan by removing cheese). Both were tasty and good portion sizes as well. Service was a bit slow but they seemed to be short staffed so understandable. Would come again for the view, also a good option for a nicer dinner if there are vegans in the group.
The view here is really why people come, and it is so worth it!! Absolutely stunning, and there's so many seats by the window or outside where you can see the water. The food is really good, I highly recommend the ciopinno, the seafood is so fresh. The crab cakes were also really good. The staff was very nice, but it took a very long time to get a table, even with a reservation. So be prepared to wait!
I didn’t spot the famous Blue Lady ghost, but I wasn’t disappointed with the food or the nice view. The standouts were the addictive onion rings paired with that mmm-mmm BBQ sauce, and surprisingly, the rice, which was so good I ordered an extra to go. The fried shrimp was good, though I’d give a slight edge to Barbara’s Fish Trap. The halibut was high quality but needed a boost in seasoning; even with its sauce, it felt a little flat until I hit it with some salt and pepper. Dessert ended on a high note with a flourless chocolate cake. The dining room is small and there were two different families that came in with loud annoying kids so maybe sitting in the bar area is the better choice?
The halibut was dry, pasta bland, and the fish & chips greasy. The clam chowder, garlic bread and chicken strips delicious. Nice selection of spirits and wine. The wait staff was very attentive and the view is wonderful but the food made the evening overall, not quite worth the $250 bill for 3.
The view and quietness of this location were it's high points. The interior was nicer than I thought based on photos, but we sat on the patio. The food was decent but not impressive, certain items appeared to not be fresh, perhaps canned or microwaved. We were disappointed that for the price we still had plastic and paper cups (for cold and hot drinks respectively); it felt cheap, especially for a $13 cocktail to be served like a $5 takeout latte. Servers were slow (especially when first seated) but kind and accommodating. Wouldn't go back.
I’ve been here several times in the past and I have to say that my experience was better then. My rating is for my recent visit which I’m hoping is not the new normal. The outdoor patio area has lost its charm and I’m not sure exactly why, but here are a few of my observations. There was one waiter for the entire outside patio area. Although he was efficient there were just too many table to serve in order to deliver good service to everyone. We waited quite a while before we got our drinks. When it was time to order, I asked what he recommended. Instead of reviewing specials and/or popular dishes, he told me that everything is good and he can’t give me a recommendation. This led to me asking questions about an array of dishes and all of a sudden ( I think out of frustration) he recommended a dish for me. He wasn’t rude at all, just over tasked. When the food arrived, my dish was lukewarm. It definitely waited somewhere and got too cold before making it to the table. I would return as I think it must have been an off night. I definitely would not sit outside though if the staffing stays the same for the patio area.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-Star Review I came to Moss Beach Distillery today and really enjoyed the experience. The ocean views and relaxed outdoor patio made it a great place to sit back and take in the coast. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual but welcoming. The food was good overall. The clam steamers were fresh and flavorful, paired nicely with the pesto garlic bread. The burger and fries hit the spot—juicy, well-seasoned, and generous in size. The kids’ nuggets and fries were simple but perfect for little ones. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but that’s expected for the location and view. Between the scenery, service, and quality of the meal, it was a very enjoyable visit. I’d definitely come back, especially for a relaxed lunch or sunset dinner.
Had lunch there today. Service was terrible. It took 50 minutes to get our salad and chowder, even though we were there when they openened. Waitress would just disappear for long periods of time. I had to go inside to grab a bottle of ketchup. The bloody mary was over spiced with literally no alcohol. The server didn't know the difference between the seafood platter and prawns and chips. She looked at me dumbfounded when I said the prawns were for my wife. The seafood platter consisted of one small piece of fish, one over fried prawn and a bunch of rubbery calamari. We've been eating at various restaurants in HMB for over 20 years, and have never remotely had such a horrible experience, especially considering this crap was over $100. We will never waste our time going there again
The staff is friendly. The view is wonderful, but the food was unfortunately really poor quality. I had the burger sliders, I asked for them to be cooked medium-rare. They were all overdone. The presentation was poor, as the burgers were put together quite carelessly. The overall taste was quite bad. My girlfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which was again significantly overpriced for the quality.
We had a pretty alarming mishap with our food today. Although the waitstaff did everything within their power to accommodate us — including removing the appetizer from our bill and ultimately comping the meal — it was still a scary experience. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer, and one of the wings was raw inside once a bite or two had been taken. Given the risk of salmonella with undercooked chicken, it was understandably concerning. We alerted the staff right away, and they responded quickly and professionally, speaking with the kitchen team and their district manager. I truly appreciate how attentive and responsive they were. That said, the food experience itself was disappointing and unsettling.
