Recensioni di Toscano's Murphys
Wow, what a surprise and delight to have such a fantastic dinner at Toscano's the other night. From the ease of calling in to make a reservation, promptly sitting us down when we arrived, top notch service throughout the meal, to getting our check quickly with boxes to go. Chris was our waiter and did an outstanding job! All the wines are local and priced affordably which was nice. We started off with fresh bread and a perfectly cooked, lightly crusted calamari appetizer served with a tasty aioli. For our entrees my 2 daughter's got the pollo Alfredo which had perfect chunks of chicken breast meat in a slightly heavy cream sauce that had a nice hint of garlic. My wife had a perfectly pounded Veal marsala that was thin, had a wonderful mushroom sauce and a delight to eat. I had the grilled Ribeye in a heavy burgundy sauce. It was nice to taste the charcoal flavor combined with the tasty sauce for what was a perfectly cooked quality piece of meat. A perfect compliment. Oh, the mashed potatoes were over the top. My daughter had to sadly report, that they were better than mine. Argh. The amount of food was more than enough that we took a bunch home. We had to try one of their desserts and settled on the carrot cake as the berry cobbler was sold out. We had a wonderful experience, fantastic service at a price that was reasonable for today's restaurants. We will definitely go back next time we are in Murphy's!!!
Started our meal off with Dungeness crab cakes with a delicious lemon sauce. For the main course decided on the chicken parmesan. The Chicken is So tender & so moist with the perfect parmesan crusted outer layer. It seriously melts in your mouth. The lemon cream cake was so soft and airy. It was light and not overly sweet.Just when we thought we’ve found our new food spot we find another one in Murpheys just as great. The prices match the quality of food that met our expectations! Will definitely be back soon
Came here for Mothers Day lunch. Every restaurant was PACKED and couldn’t get us in. Luckily we walked into this place and they seated us right away inside. Which was nice and cool inside. Fast and friendly service and the food is delicious! We ordered 4 things of bruschetta appetizer’s because we loved them so much. I ordered the ravioli and they were fresh and deliciously stuffed with cheese, the sauce was delicious. Definitely will be back !
Possible the best steak in the county. Everything was very good. Sara has always demonstrated that she runs the best restaurant in the county. Seating right on the street that lets you be part of the vibe that is Murphys. I had the ribeye. We also enjoyed the calamari & caprese salad.
Great little restaurant . The menu is quite good. With excellent Italian cuisine and if you want a hamburger. Something for everyone . Kids menu too.

One of the best restaurants in town. Food is always very good especially the portobello mushroom raviolis. Eric is a very good waiter and very attentive. Inside or outside is comfortable. Outside has heaters and clear plastic to cover the openings in the winter.
Blown away by an exceptional experience where I’m left wanting to lick my plate (after putting my ample leftovers in the box.) I worshipped my crab ravioli in the most decadent and dreamy lobster sauce; my brother savored his Salmon penne in creamy lemon basil pesto. Chef’s Kiss!! Service was exceptional and attentive (thanks Chris!) and my deepest compliments to the talented Chef. I was impressed to find such sophisticated Italian in Murphys. Wish I’d had room for dessert! Next time 😊
The three of us came in starving right before close after a long day of skiing and Oscar took care of us. Thank You! Your food is a perfect 10! We all loved it! Wow!
My daughter, a close friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Toscanos! It couldn’t have been a better! The service was very attentive and accommodating. The food was exceptionally well done. The prices were reasonable for the quality received. Look forward to the next time!
We had dinner here. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit inside. The outside was lovely as well, but not as much. The Tiramisu, while looking awesome, wasn't my favorite. The pesto salmon penne was excellent, though.
Have enjoyed lunch here twice. Cobb salad with deliciously cooked chicken, we ate outside which was fine. Second time fajitas quesadillas, also delicious. We ate inside which was uncomfortable due to acoustics! Couldn’t hear anything said at our table, but enjoyed the visitor’s conversation at the next stable. Such bright white walls, garish lighting and tile floors do nothing to create a warm and cozy atmosphere! Overall the food is outstanding, congrats to the chef and service was great.
I had a great day asked my friend and his wife to join me and my lady for dinner to celebrate a new beginning and this place sealed the deal for the perfect ending ! I had a steak cooked mid rare perfectly . The ladies had the pasta dishes both excellent and my buddy a very well cooked pork chop. The young men working that night were on top of every little need we had . I peaked in the kitchen and I believe as it were a husband and wife working the various cooking stations. I said thank you and both were very nice and appreciative of my comments making sure I was satisfied and I’ll tell ya I couldn’t have been more … thank you guys for ending my amazing day with your kindness and great food!
Super impressed, as always, with the food quality, service, and graciousness of every single employee there. We had a graduation party and they let us stay way after closing time. They even let me borrow a really nice knife from the kitchen to cut the cake! All eight of us really enjoyed our food and our time.
First time at Toscano's, amazing food! My wife and I ate there and would most definitely Recommend it. I ate the risotto and ir was fantastic, almost as good as being in Florence or any good restaurant in Tuscany. My wife had the Scampy and it was as good as my plate. Toscano's has become our 2nd best Italian restaurant in California. Huge portions and very good service. We also ordered and shared an antipasto appetizer and it was fantastic. We had soooo much food, we could not eat dessert. Corkage fee was only $12! Totally recommend it and will most definitely be back! Our server Jason was extremely accommodating and helpful. The rest of the staff behaved in a very professional manner. I took the liberty to go in the kitchen and thanked the staff. Amazing cooking!
We got the prawns for an appetizer, salmon penne and scampi for entrees- everything was so delicious! Service was great as well. Such a great addition to Murphys! So excited to have a nice Italian restaurant in town! I will be telling all of my friends to go!😊

Food, atmosphere, service all good, what caused me to leave only three stars is the fact that they advertise 11:00 am opening. I am not one to write reviews but this one irked me. Twice we have attempted lunch , arriving after eleven both times, each time the doors were still closed. The second time one of the staff came out and explained that she could not open until the owners arrived. We almost gave up and went somewhere else (we stayed for the ravioli) They did not arrive until 11:35. So my suggestion is either be there at 11:00 a.m. as advertised or change the time of opening , both on your website and your phone messages. It is rather disrespectful of your customers ( and your staff), who has to explain the situation) not to do so.

Came by for dinner. Sat outside. Why 2 stars? Our server didn't offer dinner specials. He also did not check up on us throughout our dinner. Not a great dining experience.

Yesterday we stopped by Toscano’s in Murphys while killing some time before a concert. We weren’t planning to have a full meal, just wanted to share an appetizer and get a feel for the place. Since it’s Italian-style with seafood on the menu (my favorite), it seemed like a good pick. We were seated right away, which was nice, but a few things immediately stood out. The napkin at my place setting was dirty and had to be replaced, and I noticed that the “white tablecloths” were actually covered in white butcher paper. I understand it’s for easy cleanup, but for a restaurant presenting itself as higher-end, it felt a little tacky. We chose outdoor seating, which came with a lovely view of Main Street and all the people walking by. Unfortunately, I leaned against the wall next to my chair and was instantly swarmed by ants. The wall was absolutely covered with them—it looked like a long-term problem, not just a stray few. When the food arrived, things didn’t improve. We ordered the stuffed shell crab, expecting an actual crab dish, but it turned out to be pasta shells filled with a soupy mixture that tasted more like canned tuna than crab. There was barely any actual crab flavor, and the texture was off-putting. We didn’t even finish it. Oddly enough, the complimentary bread with oil and vinegar was the best part of the meal—it was fresh and tasty. Sadly, it outshined the dish we actually paid for. Overall, Toscano’s smelled amazing and maybe some of their other dishes are better, but based on our experience, it was a big disappointment. Between the ants, the presentation issues, and the underwhelming appetizer, this isn’t a place we’d return to. Luckily, Murphys has plenty of other intriguing restaurants along Main Street, so we’ll be exploring those next time.

It was a terrible experience and awful expensive food. We both got pasta and frankly, my homemade with ROA salsa tastes better. In addition to poor quality food, the service was horrible. We arrived at 8:10 pm with a reservation for 8 pm. We called from the car, saying we were a few minutes late, and we were told: "no problem! Please come over". Then, when we walked in, the lead guy welcomed us with "Please order quickly because we want to close soon." Next, the waiter brought me the wrong order, and when I told him that, he said he'd get me the correct one. He returned with the same dish, saying it had been changed (a lie--it had a meatball I had bit already)—a terrible, terrible experience. I do not recommend it. It was our first time there and we will never come back.
I do not recommend coming to this establishment. Our servers name was Morgan; iv never been gas light by a server before tonight but here is our experience. After about 50 minutes of our food not coming out Morgan came and told us it should be done soon. (Remember this) We were out of waters, wine and bread. 10 minutes later I ask someone else to grab us some refills and to see if she can check on our order. About 5 minutes later Morgan tells us that due to the power outage our order was never sent to the back so after over an hour of waiting she finally get our order to the kitchen. This means when Morgan told us our food was almost done that was a lie and she never actually checked with the kitchen or she would habe known they didnt have our order. During most of this waiting period we were left with minimal service or checked on. We finally got our food after about 1.5hrs. Our food felt very thrown together. We immediately asked for our checks because the entire experience took so long. When I got the bill I saw it had a gradituity added, white normally I have absolutely no issue with but our experience thus far had been horrid and we didn't actually get much service. I asked Morgan if the gratuity could be removed. Her response was revolting. She immediately started gaslighting. She told us our food wasn't forgotten about, it just takes that long. Literally the opposite of what she said happened. She told us we didn't have a reservation (which we didn't we had other plans but the food smelled good while walking by so we popped in to see if we could get a table and cancel our order plans). Because we didn't have a reservation didn't make us less of a customer. She then proceeded to get very rude instead of understanding. She said and I quote "Well have you even ever been to Murphys before" in a very degrading tone. Insinuating that I don't how things are done around here and I'm lucky we even got a table to begin with so the fact they forgot about our food shouldn't be a big deal. The entire exchange was shocking. There was an immense lack of customer service and respect. There was a sheer lack of professionalism within this establishment. We were extremely nice and understanding with the unfortunate situation but we didn't deserve to be spoken to in that manner.
