Recensioni di Wilfred's Lounge Napa
I don't normally write reviews, but my husband and I were visiting Napa last week, and we stopped in here for drinks and an appetizer before our dinner reservations. The tiki atmosphere was so fun and the bartenders were absolutely phenomenal. Beth had us in stitches the entire time! the guy was great too. Their witty banter made for a very fun night and helped take my mind off a tragedy that happened that week. Listened to her recommendation and got the coconut shrimp and lava flow. Both wonderful. I told her that we will 100% be back next time we visit but only if she doesn't change her hair color lol! Loved this place.
Great drinks, cool atmosphere, and good vibes. Go. The tiki bar in Petaluma closed down today. Let's not let that happen to Wilfred's
Great selection of food and the drinks are beautiful. Truly a tropical vibe and the place is decorated really well. I liked the rooftop the most. The service was fast too. Was worried about bringing little kids but it was welcomed
Great place. Arguably one of the best views in downtown Napa, great drinks, and good food. Every decorative detail is attended to; hanging out in the outdoor areas with a Mai Tai, overlooking the river...does it get any better? The food compliments the drinks and the vibe. I particularly liked the Spam sliders and the ribs (the macaroni salad that comes with the ribs is tops!) Definitely worth a repeat visit.
We had a wonderful experience grabbing a few fun cocktails at the bar here. Our bartender, J (didn’t catch full name, sorry!) was not only very friendly but very informative and great as his craft. Very fun and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Being a tiki bar aficionado, I was very excited to hear about a new tiki bar opening up in Napa! The downstairs is a bar buzzing with good vibes and friendly people. The bartenders will crack a few jokes and make the most delicious tiki drinks complete with garnish. My favorite is the maximum aloha which is a strawberry infused rum with heavenly coconut banana whipped cream They are a bit strong but that’s how I like it! The upstairs has a nice view of Napa river. I Highly recommended checking this spot out.
We ordered food for a Hawaiian themed birthday party with 30 guests at our home and the entire experience was beyond expectations. The process was easy thanks to Lauren and the food was delicious! Thank you!!!
In a town full of samey type restaurants, Wilfred's offers something completely different - a Hawaiian inspired menu. This is one of our regular spots. They specialize in cocktails, with a limited selection of rotating beers on tap. Portions are large, so come hungry.
Wonderful Polynesian style restaurant! The establishment graciously accommodated our group of 50 people at the last minute because a nearby restaurant didn’t record our reservation! It was a blessing in disguise as the food and drinks at this place were outstanding. I had the Loco Moco burger and it was delicious, perfectly charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside. My wife had the Katsu chicken sandwich and loved it. Tropical drinks are excellent too. Fun tiki atmosphere and excellent service from Isabella! Can’t wait to go back!
Ambiance, Ambiance, Ambiance! If you want to go to an island like place, come here! Fun (and DELICIOUS) drinks. We happened to stumble here on a Friday night. Live music was awesome. Place was packed so we waited a bit. Drinks were fantastic and so were the appetizers. Would highly recommend!
Funtastic atmosphere! Tiki/Island setting: ac inside or enjoy heat with river view on partially covered outdoor rooftop. Delicious Spam fries, fried pickles, kahlua pork sliders, Gorgeous and ever so refreshing drinks!!! Happy hour menu is very generous too.
My husband and I were thrilled to find a tiki bar in Napa! The attention to detail could have only come from the incomparable Bamboo Ben. A visual feast to accompany perfect tiki drinks made with care and attention to detail by a very knowledgeable staff at the tiki bar. My mai tai was absolutely perfect. Don the Beachcomber would be proud.
What’s not to love about this amazing place? 🌺 The atmosphere is out of this world I felt like I was in Hawaii (the best restaurant with such an amazing atmosphere in all of Napa). The food was scrumptious I was full but still continued tivesse to eat. I am typically a vodka soda girl and I stepped out of my comfort zone with these drinks and they were so fruit forward and delicious. I highly recommend such a fantastic place to visit!
Wilfred’s Lounge is a gem! The bartender was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but the real star of the night was Jesse, the chef when we were there. We ordered the orange chicken, and it was, without a doubt, the best we’ve ever had honestly. When we told the bartender, he brought Jesse out to meet us, and we were blown away by his passion and skill. Jesse explained his process very meticulous, scientific, and involving over a day of marination and it truly felt like culinary sorcery. Jesse deserves huge credit for creating such an unforgettable dish. He also gave us some insight on some of his upcoming dishes. Can’t recommend this place enough! It’s a masterpiece of food and hospitality!
Three words: tiki themed cocktails!! Love this place for both their creative drink menu and the view of the river from the rooftop. Been here a few times during our trips to Napa and the drinks never disappoint. Lovely spot for a date before or after dinner plans. They also have tasty bites if you are feeling hungry, the spam fries and coconut shrimp were our favorites.
Great food, great service, and great location. Nice place if you’re looking for something more casual in downtown Napa. The shareable tiki drinks pack a punch!
Had a great time at Wilfred's before heading to a show at the Oxbow Riverstage. Drinks were delicious. I failed to take pictures of all of the things we had. We also order a variety of pupus to share. The pupu platter is a nice sampler for a party of 3 since that comes with 3 of everything except the spam sliders which is 2. We got another order of coconut shrimp and the BBQ ribs were excellent.
I have been to Tiki Bars around the world and I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem in downtown Napa. The decor is cute, the drinks were perfectly concocted and presented. I gave it 5 stars because it is a welcome retreat amongst the wine tasting rooms. Music was tropically appropriate as well. Staff were friendly and the prices are decent. The burgers and ribs were good. We had coconut shrimp and the spam sliders which were good as well. I would have liked a bigger selection of apps and food. Maybe egg rolls, skewers and regular fries? Overall very happy with Wilfreds! They even had cute mugs and Mai Tai glases for purchase.
Absolutely fantastic tiki bar and restaurant to feel like you are transported to another world. We have escaped to enjoy the beverages and on several occasions their fantastic live music on several occasions and most recently enjoyed Frankie and the Pool Boys. They were very accommodating to the large group of friends and family that I brought. The waitress Amy was great and the food and drinks were spot on. Check it out!
This place is really cool - great dining atmosphere, creative tiki cocktails, and a really out-there menu. If you're looking for an interesting and fun experience unlike the buttoned-up Napa steakhouse regular deal, go here. Expect to wait a while for your cocktails, as they are quite complicated to make. I thought the quality was definitely worth the wait. Sometimes there's live music on the patio, so check their calendar.
Great option for a fun night out! Our only complaints were under-seasoned plates and some components that weren’t cooked quite properly (onion not cooked enough, Mac salad was a little al dente, steak in the fried rice was a little over). Otherwise, we really enjoyed the environment, presentation, service, and live band!
I will always have a good time at a tiki bar, but Wilfred's takes it to another level. For starters, the food is so delicious - I recommend any ahi tuna dish, macaroni salad, and chicken katsu. I've had about every drink on the menu but am partial to the ones that arrive on fire. The service is also so friendly and fun. You can tell everyone enjoys working here, which makes it all the more exciting and enjoyable.
When you turn onto 1st Street off of Soscol in Napa and cross the bridge, it's the first shop on the left. An island motif setting with excellent cocktails and delicious food, especially the poke. A great place to eat, drink and visit with friends. The rooftop lounge is beautiful and relaxing with great views of the Napa river, the adjacent downtown shops and the surrounding hills. Plenty of street parking and public parking lots nearby. Another fun spot in downtown Napa.
First stop of the evening and it did not disappoint! The drinks are not only delicious but also total works of art and beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp appetizer was the perfect pairing to kick things off. Fun vibe, great energy, and the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re on vacation without ever leaving Napa. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
This was such a fun and unique find we stumbled upon during our Napa trip. While the drinks are extremely fun, the food was unbelievably good as well. The atmosphere is so different and we loved hanging out on the rooftop! PSA: you need to order the Spam fries.
Great drinks, and food. The scorpion bowl really kicked in. Food was tasty and drinks were strong. Spent $189 plus tip for 2 meals, 1 appetizers 2 drinks and a bowl drink. Pretty good price.
2nd time in, had reservations for Mother's Day. We were seated in this cozy booth near the window on the river. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. We ordered the BBQ Burger, Pineapple Fried Rice and Tofu Poke Bowl. For drinks, we ordered the Pagan Ritual and Carries Treasure Chest. The food and drinks were fresh and served fast. I can't wait to go back again and try more items!
We loved having dinner and drinks here! Brian the bartender was super fun and friendly. The GM, Lauren seated us and was friendly and inviting. Our food was delicious and the drinks are solid! We had fun looking around at all the cool decor. Be sure to go upstairs and look around too. Really good attention to detail!
This restaurant was absolutely amazing! We made reservations and when we got there, we were seated expeditiously. The drinks were absolutely amazing, I felt the buzz after the first one and after drink number two we were definitely feeling good! The ribs were tender to perfection and the sauce on them was absolutely divine. The spam musubi was very filling and flavorful would definitely order everything that we ordered again plus more.
Unexpected, excellent find in Napa. Two-story Tiki bar with a great terrace/balcony overlooking the river located in downtown Napa. Great happy hour with $10 drinks. Great service at the bar. Go to the bar, get a couple of drinks, and head upstairs with the drinks to the balcony to enjoy the view, then have a second beverage while taking some great photos (this seriously might be the best place to get outside photos in downtown Napa). It’s not a traditional ‘dark inside’ Tiki bar, and while they have a great drink menu, you will need to specifically order some more ‘regular’ tiki drinks off-menu. They have beer and wine too if you’re into that. Highly recommend, perhaps best bar in Napa.
--A Delightful Napa Experience-- We had a fantastic time! Our server, Shanie, was incredibly helpful in navigating the menu, suggesting the delicious 1944 Mai Tai and Batten Down the Hatches cocktails. The tuna poke bowl was a fresh and flavorful treat, while my wife loved the pulled pork sliders and sweet potato fries. We topped off the meal with a divine upside-down pineapple cake. Shanie's recommendations were spot on, and we'll definitely be returning on our next Napa trip! Update, 10/24: back at Halloween time and had a special cocktail, the "Shrunken Head". Shanie was our server again and she was as good as the first time. Update, 1/25: back again and had a great meal and tiki cocktails. Particularly liked the spam fries and fried pickle appetizers.
Loved Wilfred’s Lounge after our wine tasting in Napa. The Tiki Lounge has some great vibes & decor. Everything we ordered was delicious and fantastic cocktails!
Loved it! The atmosphere, drinks, good and staff made my visit very pleasant! Our host Adrian made some terrific suggestions, his attention to detail and knowledge about the food was spot on! He also shared with us about your Wed and Thurs specials so our seems like we find our new fave spot. Will bring friends and family over.
Great tiki bar in downtown Napa. It's nice and different, great cocktails and ambiance. The drinks take a bit to make, but if you order the stormy ones the music changes and it's fun. The food is very on point, Hawaiian style, delicious but not healthy. The decor is great and upstairs has a good view of the river so I recommend sitting up top.

Unique experience in Napa but also a great tiki bar in its own right. Drinks and food are all great quality, they have a selection of excellent custom mugs and a cool rooftop space overlooking the river. For a break from wine, get to Wilfred’s.

What a fantastic restaurant. Had a 80th surprise party for my mom with 60+ family and friends. Lauren the manager who coordinated the day, time, food and drinks menu was phenomenal. She was attentive, available when I had questions and made sure she followed up when needed. Not just that. The staff on that day was exceptional. How did you find such quality individuals. The service was 100% what we all look for and you brought it to your spot. The ambiance of Wilfred’s reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean + The Haunted Mansion. It’s fun and the look is great with the great view of downtown Napa made it even better from their rooftop. Bravo 👏 I will absolutely visit Wilfred’s again and again. One of my favorite spots now.

This is a place you go more for the drinks than the food. Great service but can be really slow too. Food is just ok. Bread on the burgers could be a lot better. Green beans are nice and salty. Coconut shrimp is pretty good. Juicy and tasty shrimp.
It was a busy Wednesday evening. We got a table right away. Staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were delicious, if slightly overpriced. My wife and her friend enjoyed a shared, flaming, fruity concoction. The bartender cheerfully modified a house drink to use Mezcal, and it was excellent. Appetizers arrived right away. Food took forever, but we were enjoying drinks and conversation, and staff made it good. When the food arrived it was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. Island salad was good. The pineapple fried rice was also good, if a slightly ridiculous portion size served on half a pineapple. Desert was delicious, and we shared it. The key lime Panna Cotta was both tart and delicate. The pineapple upside down cake should definitely be ordered WITH the rum. The 'Ono Pie is excellent, though a little hard to eat - the crust is hard to cut. Overall, a great night, if a little expensive. VERY expensive by non Napa standards.
Prime location abutting the Napa River. Staff were kind to open sliding glass door to improve our view of river. Excellent, attentive service. Food was very tasty, although selections were limited. Exotic drink menu was pricey, yet highly tempting, with more options than I have ever seen. Very comfortable Polynesian theme evidenced thruout with trademark bar. I felt as if I had returned to the '60s.
We went to the happy hour here. They offer a few items on a happy hour menu. I had deep fried potstickers which were small and filled with tender pork. The flavor was tasty. The mixed green side salad had fresh lettuce mixed with a few veggies.
Great and creative drinks! I got a flaming one, and the presentation is on point. You really walk in here and say to yourself, "Yeah, THIS is a tiki bar." We only tried the sliders, but they were mid (and expensive) small pulled pork-like sandwiches. Other food looked interesting and smelled good, but the crazy drinks are where it's at- imo it's worth stopping at just for that.
I'll be honest and fair the server was nice the atmosphere was great the drinks were very fun and creative. The food however, pure presentation. I know an old sick dairy cow who stopped producing milk when I eat one and when I smell one.. dont hype it up and sell it to me as a special... old sick dairy cows are cheap meat because it's been pumped full of hormones for years and doesnt taste or smell good... to the owner/ food beverage director stop buying that meat. Dont be greedy with your profit margins and charge a few extra bucks if you have to... I dont want to buy a $100 cocktail to pair with a sick dairy cow. Putting in on a pineapple husk doesnt change how low quality the meat is... I will return.. most likely tomorrow even.. but I'd like for my feedback to be heard.. thanks😁🙏
If you love trying new drinks🍹 This place is perfect for a Tiki Lounge experience you won’t forget! The Food, Drinks and the Ambiance was great. Service was a bit slow ( maybe because it was so packed on that day) That’s how good it is!! Well Napa is sure for wines but you don’t want to miss these drinks🍸
Wilfred’s Lounge is such a fun spot! The food was really good and everything we ordered came out fresh and flavorful. The service was great too friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The drinks were well made, just a little too sweet for my personal taste, which is the only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5. That’s more of a preference thing than anything else. Overall, it’s a great place with good vibes, good food, and solid service.
Wilfred’s Lounge is a gem in downtown Napa. The cocktails are fruity, creative, and beautifully balanced, making it easy to try something new each visit. The atmosphere is unique and charming, with a fun, laid-back vibe that feels both stylish and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax with friends or linger over drinks and enjoy the setting just as much as the flavors. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Napa and want something beyond the usual wine tasting scene.
Unexpected, but delightful Tiki bar with all sorts of interesting drinks and lunch specials
Starters great atmosphere and fun staff. Felt very welcomed with great service. Food and drinks came out quick. Definitely would consider ordering the entries if your hungry. The appetizers are small portions and will leave you feeling hungry. Drink felt suitable and were tasty. As most reviews pointed out do feel like they could cut back on the ice in the drinks.
Food and drinks were great. The atmosphere was a bit more rigid than other tiki bars we've been to. This was definitely just a tiki themed restaurant and none of the drama and showmanship we've seen at others. Our server was very kind and never dropped the ball. I had the sampler plate which was very exciting to try so many different dishes, my friends had the pulled pork sandwich. Everyone cleaned their plate.

Came here for cocktails and dessert tonight. Although the drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, they were pretty delicious. We also ordered the pineapple upside-down cake and the coconut sorbet which was supposed to come with fresh berries. The cake was amazing but they forgot the berries for the sorbet, which it really needed. Instead of bringing the missing berries, they simply said they were having training issues and left it at that. We still got charged for the full sorbet. I really wanted to like this place, it has a really fun atmosphere but I think they have some things to figure out.
I came here with my two children teenagers we walked up the hostess didn’t even greet us and to to top it off she there was on 2 tables occupied and 2 People at the bar and the hostess seemed like she didn’t want to seat us. She treated us differently than others coming behind us. Sat them right away don’t want to pull the race card but I am… it was totally that way. We sat down our waitress was such a sweetheart though!!! I did appreciate her. Don't want to be treated differently..
We are locals so we decided to purchase the cup which you can enjoy 50% off your alcoholic beverage on Wednesdays. However, we had been charged full price on one of our drinks. We didn’t care enough to make a big deal out of it. We would go back the drinks a good and pretty. Food is ok.
The order your drinks at the bar thing is lame. We walked out because if it as did the couple right behind us.
.Food was good but nothing spectacular, We started with a drink I had a Wilfreds flora very good, also ordered the Daiquirita ok , for starters we tried the coconut shrimp and spam sliders both good.Entrees the pineapple fried rice was yummy and the burger was good, also tried the macaroni salad that was good. I just think prices are high and I wish the menu was a little more exciting.over all nice atmosphere. Now let's talk about service it was extremely slow.... waiter had to be found to get our entrees ordered after waiting for ever for drinks and apps.He never checked on us had to be found to get drinks replenished. We then ordered pineapple upside down cake to go...,waited another 20 or more minutes. The upside down cake was really good., I would definitely come back to have a drink and maybe some apps but for dinner probably not.
After dinners nearby, we chanced upon Wilfred’s Lounge, a Polynesian outpost bravely holding its ground amidst the vineyards of Napa Valley. Possessed by the noble impulse of “one last drink,” we ventured in. The establishment was lively, its décor most exuberant, an enthusiastic marriage between the tropics and tiki ambition. The drinks, too, were rather theatrical: adorned with enough fruit, foliage and miniature umbrellas to constitute a small botanical garden. My libation however proved disappointing, a melancholy mixture that left me wondering if this was a right decision. My partner, on the other hand, declared hers decent, which only deepened my despair. Perhaps it was merely a poor choice on my part, though the menu itself inspired little confidence, resembling less a list of cocktails and more a riddle written by pirates. We did not linger long. Having fulfilled our curiosity and tested our tolerance for fruits mixed with alcohols, we departed with spirits, both literal and figurative, slightly bruised but amused nonetheless.

Not a great experience. Went to celebrate a birthday, we had different servers throughout the night and all acted a little funny towards us. Appetizer and cocktail drinks were very good but cannot say the same about the entrees. Meals were looked sad and definitely not worth the buck. I would only recommend this place for drinks and aesthetic.
The space inside has a unique vibe and the deck has a superb view of the Napa River as it bends through the town. There was no service upstairs so I ordered at the bar having seen a selection of dishes down stairs and may be the mistake was ordering one of the fried rice dishes. Frozen food drowned in a soy sauce with last weeks pineapple. Just disappointing for such a prime location with such a great interior vibe. ‘Can do better’.
I was excited to come and have some food and drinks. The drinks looked amazing in the photos, only to try it and didn’t have any flavor 🥴 our server was super sweet and gave me pineapple juice, anything to give my drink a flavor, it unfortunately didn’t.. I let her know I was not happy with the drink, she removed it from my bill. The food wasn’t good either 😩 the Katsu chicken had no flavor. I was so disappointed because I really had high expectations. The food was def over priced. They def need to make better drinks. They make them Look so pretty yet they were tasteless. We will not be returning back.
NO RANCH ! Cocktails small portion. Burger has NO SIDES ! So I ordered a side and it was very small. My girlfriend's bowl was too salty to eat. The burger was cooked well and great ambience, but many things did lack unfortunately for a place like this. (I never do google reviews)
Walked up to bar for 2 drinks while waiting for our table at 4:30pm on a Friday. Took 45 min to recieve our Mai Tai's from our rude bartender and they tasted awful. Paid $14 for a glass filled with ice and some sour concoction .(tasted nothing like the traditional hawaii favorite) Finally got a table and things got even worse. Coconut shrimp was cold, flavorless and overcooked. Rice was cold and crunchy, burgers were ok, and the hula pie was NOT hula pie. Nothing was worth the bill at the end. The only thing exciting was the ambiance, but will not be back. Reviews on Yelp are all similar to mine.
The bartender named Annalise was extremely rude and unpleasant. She made my family and I want to never come back. She has a nasty attitude and ignored us several times after we asked her to remake one drink.
Went to this establishment for a bite to eat and a drink. From San Francisco I wanted the plantains, but they were out so I settle for the smoked salmon Rangoon’s. inside “COMPLETELY”😠empty. it was a wonton wrapper that’s it. with no cream cheese,no salmon inside. payed $17 for this appetizer which really upset me! then there was, these girls that Ibelieve worked there, but they were off there shifts one girl was yelling she was 21 it was her birthday Not working, but behind the bar making drinks. For her & her friends she was super loud. It was annoying. Unpleasant. They should not allow the staff when they’re off not working to sit at the bar. It’s unprofessional disrupted my visit at this tiki bar. So I left. went across the street to Napkin. Service was so “much” better pleasant, I don’t like the Customer Service at this place . and for the amount of money they charge they need to get their food right.
Cannot recommend for large groups or events. We recently hosted a wedding event on a Wednesday in Napa. Our event was during the day and we planned on ending the night at the tiki bar. I emailed Wilfred’s 6 weeks before hosting our event to inform them a large group of around 25 people will be coming to the tiki bar around 6 pm. Their response was positive - they said they would love for our party to come to the tiki bar, told us what time the bar closed, told us what time the kitchen stopped food, told us they would put a note on OpenTable reserving a spot for us. We were SO happy… Until we showed up at 6pm like we informed them. Our party showed up, they told us to have a seat upstairs. The weather was perfect, the views were great, there was a large couch and large table for us to sit around, and then we sat there… and sat there… and sat there…. There was a bar upstairs, that was closed. We went downstairs to the bar to order drinks and we caught one of the servers who was walking around. She told us she was the only server working right now and she will not provide service to us upstairs and promptly walked away as if she was busy. They expected our group of almost 30 people to walk up and down stairs (a terrible idea and probably a liability at a bar with ladies in heels having alcohol) and get drinks from the bar. We went searching for another spot to host our group - The rooftop bar at the Archer hotel was absolutely amazing. When I (the host) left the bar, someone in our party grabbed the manager and the manager informed us the bar upstairs was closed and there was no service because I did not put down a credit card. I was never asked to put down a credit card. I was never informed we wouldn’t have service (we did NOT need private service by any means, but we needed SOME service). I was never informed the upstairs bar would be closed. I was not informed we would have to walk up and down stairs to get service at an already full bar. Absolutely atrocious experience. Cannot recommend for groups.
I'd give a -10 stars if that was an option. The employees here are rude and lack any kind of customer service. Upon our entrance there was no one that greated us as we stand there with our coats on our arms looking for someone a few wait staff walked by and said nothing to us. After being seated down by the front door on chair that way being used to prop open the door. We asked to be moved due to several heaters making the table overly hot. The Hostess was rude and inconsiderate. Handicap accessibility and any reasonable accommodations are not made. The Hostess was just like whatever that's your problem. Why have a hostess for her to just say go upstairs to find where ever you want to sit then have to go up and down stairs to order food & drinks from the bar. This restaurant lost a $500 2 top table. We had every intention to sample several of the food items and from the drink menu. You lost a good food review from your hostess and wait staff poor customer. service.
