Recensioni di Amura New York
Amura is our favorite sushi restaurant on the Upper East Side. We've been there many times, and the food, service, and atmosphere is terrific every time. And the prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and overall experience. The crispy rice dish with spicy tuna is especially delicious. If you're interested in a delicious option that isn't on the published menu, then ask for the "Roger roll". It isn't the healthiest choice, but it is a treat for the senses!
Delicious Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price.
I absolutely love this place. It was my second time visiting. The food was delicious, everything we had was great. The service at Amura is always wonderful!

I absolutely love this place. It was my second time visiting. The food was delicious, everything we had was great. The service at Amura is always wonderful!
I think it’s a hidden gem. The sign in front makes it seem sketchy, but I saw all good reviews so wanted to try it. The inside is super clean and nice and the food was amazing!! The sign in front that says all you can eat sushi def throws people off but I’m happy I tried it! My new go to spot.
The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, creating a very friendly atmosphere that was immediately noticeable upon entry. Attention to cleanliness was evident, particularly in the bathroom facilities, which were not only spotless but also thoughtfully equipped with hand lotion - a nice touch. As for the food, the sushi was exceptionally fresh and delicious, clearly highlighting the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs.
This place is excellent in all ways. Sushi is fresh and amazing service is wonderful takeout equally as good. Love it. Thank you Amura for high quality sushi Everytime
Consistently Freshest Sushi, best service and nice atmosphere at Amura. Jalapeño Yellow appetizer melts in your mouth with a different kick. Love their lightly coated tofu teriyaki. Their multigrain rice is at once delicious and nutritious and complements their sushi and sashimi spectacularly. My wife Susan and I are regulars who BYOB, do not order expensively, but they always give us our favorite booth and treat us with kindness, respect and appreciation.
Best sushi UES. Salmon avocado roll is just amazing. Always fresh. Reasonable prices. Special rolls are outstanding. Apps, salads and sides all great.
A wonderful restaurant with not only authentic but also creative food. You can order anything on the menu, and it will be delicious. We loved several specialty rolls that we ordered. The staff is warm and friendly, and the service is impeccable. We certainly will be back!
A favorite place on the UES for lunch. Everything is fresh and delicious! Great service and fantastic sushi.
Food was yummy and service/staff is great. Good for any occasion. The miso cod and crispy rice was so fresh and delicious 🙂
Great food, pre-fix menu was reasonably priced.

Reliably really wonderful and fresh sushi (In my mind best on the UES). Good lunch price for rolls. Recommend the Omakase.

Some of the best sushi in NYC. The Snow Crab Roll is FANTASTIC! If they had spicy tuna on fried rice, it would be THE #1 sushi restaurant in NY.
I ordered the two roll lunch special, choosing spicy tuna and spicy salmon, which came with a side salad. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. The rice was well-seasoned and held together nicely. The side salad was simple but had my all time favorite carrot ginger. The portions were just right for lunch -not too heavy, but filling enough. I came at an off hour so the place was super quiet. The staff was attentive even though they were prepping for dinner at the same time.
The salmon teriyaki bento lunch special ($14.50 plus tax) and the tempura sampler ($11) were decent. In a neighborhood with many Japanese dining options, Amura is worth considering but is not a must-try.
3 maki rolls for $16.50 during weekday lunch! (eel avocado, yellowtail scallion, and salmon avocado)
I had take out lunches two days in a row. First I had the tonkatsu lunch for $12.95 with salad (good ginger dressing). Tonkatsu was mostly good, good crunch, good sauce, but a little dry (overcooked) at thinner pieces. Next day I had the sashimi lunch with miso soup. The soup and rice were done correctly. The sashimi came with 3 pieces of salmon, tuna, and snapper (white fish), two shiso leaves, julienne radish, pickled ginger, wasabi for $15.50. The fish was very fresh and every detail was correct. Good value for your money. I’ll give it 8.5/10.

Great takeout spot! We had the spicy mango tar tar (9/10), the tiger roll (9/10), the trio toro roll (7/10), love mango roll (8/10), spicy kani roll (7/10 and the spicy crunchy salmon roll (8/10). Everything was solid, would definitely get takeout again

Not a good option for vegans. Nearly every dish contains dairy, and the staff isn’t flexible about substitutions. I ordered the tofu teriyaki, which turned out to be just fried tofu with plain steamed vegetables—bland and uninspired. I won’t be coming back.

Chicken teriyaki was impossible to chew through in many pieces. Husbands tempera tasted delicious. By the time we got home ( northern Westchester) both of us were not feeling well. Both of us spent that night & the entire next day suffering from diarrhea. The Grade Pending sign was not displayed or we would never have gone in. Other than a cup of coffee & toast in the morning we ate nothing else except for this meal, so it was the CHICKEN! I am going to contact the restaurant health department.
Their sushi is terrible. Not fresh at all and very fishy! I hope management takes action and refunds me for my sushi and uses fresher ingredients in the future.
