Bite is my go to for high quality food for breakfast lunch and catering! I love the combo grilled panini with soup or salad. Always have cookies and brownies for clients and creative Catering options
Loved the atmosphere as soon as we stepped in. Cashier was humming the tunes brightening the mood. Food was amazing and really good value!! Coming back!
I always come here at least once a week! So many good options on the menu, I usually go for the soup and panini option and mix it up. Food is fresh and delicious and to top it off the staff is super friendly!
Really nice staff! The place is super cute, gives retro cafe/diner vibes. Large menu options.
Nice little place to grab Mediterranean food. The portions are generous. I got a falafel sandwich and it came with a good amount of sauce, hummus and veggies. Friendly staff. Great value for the price.
Delicious food, happy and helpful staff. Very comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. Highly recommend.
I love this place the best quick bite in the city. All food is freshly made. The soups are particularly great!
The sandwiches here are actually so good. I got the roast beef and they literally give you so much in the sandwich. It's definitely a great lunch spot to go to with a friend or even by yourself.
The food was incredible. I got the Middle Eastern Vegan Sandwich and it was amazing! I don’t like eggplant but this eggplant was different is was so well seasoned and flavorful. The sandwich comes in a pita and it was truly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I also got the falafel (it was $3 for 3 pieces) and it was so tasty without the usual dryness of falafel. Couldn’t recommend more.
We love this Bite! Really great vegetarian options; best veggie burger we've found in NYC. Good prices. Even though we've moved from Chelsea to Midtown we still head downtown to eat here.
Bite is my go-to in flatiron. Fresh, hearty, flavorful Mediterranean fusion plates - homemade falafel, crunchy schnitzel sandwiches, and minty watermelon salad - with a mom and pop feel. As a guy, the portion sizes are awesome for the quality and price.
Delicious food and super friendly service. We both got falafel sandwiches. Lots of other tasty looking vegan choices on the menu!
Delicious food and great ambiance! We got the falafel pita, Mediterranean chicken wrap and the mezze plate - all warm and full of flavor. Lovely local art adorns the walls and the owner Ami was there and was warm and welcoming. He surprised us with a free brownie which was chocolatey and delicious.
Love this place! I come here frequently for dinner after work, and it’s always the perfect spot. The grilled chicken panini is amazing, and the chicken parm is another favorite—both absolutely delicious. Every time I visit, I end up wanting to try more from the menu because everything looks so good when it comes out to other tables! I keep ordering the same cause its perfect, but definitively will try the other dishes soon. The atmosphere is super chill, and they play great music at a low volume, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal and conversation. Big fan!
A very chill, very relaxed atmosphere with great salads, soups, paninis, sandwiches and such, all at super reasonable prices. I eat here at least once a week and when friends or visitors from out of town are here I take them and so far all have loved it!
So delicious! So grateful they have tasty vegan options!! Perfect for a group with a variety of dietary needs.
It’s a staple lunch spot for me. Haven’t explored much of the menu but the soup and sandwiches always hit the spot! Would highly recommend the spicy black bean soup
Super chill vibes, awesome staff and service, delicious food with robust vegetarian/vegan options at an unbelievable price. I'm from Boston but if I lived in Manhattan I'd come here all the time
If you have time you can relax and eat your meal. This place has a chill vibe. They have soups, salads, and sandwiches. They have vegan options if you need this. They have alcohol also. We were able to be seated right away. They have indoor or outdoor. It was a humid day so we opted for indoor. The ice tea is freshly brewed, and my friend got a Chai latte. I ordered a fresh mozzarella, proscuitto, red pepper and pesto panini.
Bite on 22nd Street is one of my go-to spots in Manhattan. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are super reasonable for the neighborhood. Portions are generous, and everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and consistent. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, whether you’re dining in or grabbing something to go. It’s one of those rare places you can always count on for a good meal without breaking the bank.
We eat here twice a week. The food is always fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. There are lots of healthy options, whether you’re a meat-eater or a vegan. I’m a big fan of the combos, which allow you to get a generous serving of soup with salad or a half sandwich. Bite serves breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus wine and beer, so it’s a great all-day meeting place. My only gripe is that the noise level can get high sometimes. Otherwise, this place is a gem!
Wasn’t expecting much from it but 5 star reviews are all true! I went Saturday at 11 am and it was quiet. Very comfy and cute place with so many tables. I had french bite sandwich and it was so good, fresh and tasty and only $9 for huge portion. Staff is very friendly :) Edit: This place is still great, and my favorite. Planning to try every meal in the menu!
The food here is incredible and affordable. Sienna was extremely helpful and kind and made our dinner extremely easy to order. I recommend the chicken schnitzel! I plan on coming back!
Bite is an excellent app for food lovers who enjoy discovering new places to eat. The app is simple to use, with a clean design that makes it easy to search for nearby restaurants and cafes. One of the best features of Bite is its personalized recommendation system. It learns your preferences over time and suggests places that match your taste, making it more useful the more you use it. Bite is also a social app. You can follow friends, share your favorite meals, and see what others recommend. This adds a fun community feel, where people can exchange their food experiences. The short review format is helpful too, making it quick and easy to read opinions before choosing where to go. Another nice feature is the Taste Profile, which keeps track of your food likes and dislikes. This helps the app offer better suggestions. Bite also includes photos, menus, and ratings for most places, making it easier to decide before visiting. Overall, Bite is a very helpful app for finding great food spots, especially in cities. It is fun, useful, and makes eating out more exciting. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys good
don't walk. RUN !!! i'm not even lying the food is so delish and the service was so good. once u come here you'd want to come back right away. i ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich with a country tomato soup. also the inside was so gorgtastic beautiful. the girl with the brown hair and pinkish red highlights was soo nice. the boy that brought out our food was also super nice. overall i really love this place cause the food is so amazing and the service was a 10/10 😍😍 also for the pic i took a bite then took the photo lol
My favorite lunch spot! I come here every week and the food never disappoints. Very affordable and the servings are large. Great pastries too! Staff is also really kind and welcoming! Shoutout Alo and Andrea :)
i got the grilled cheese & tomato soap combo and it was great! $12 and the sandwich is delicious, especially dipped in the soup. my order was ready on time and was nicely packaged to prevent heat from escaping
Good solid food. Tastes homemade in the best way and satisfies that hearty soup craving you may have. The grilled cheese is also delicious without feeling too heavy.
Always blown away by how fresh and generous he good/portions are here! Incredible value for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I’ve been eating at bite since 2011 back in their noho spot and am always pleased with the experience. The pita is so fresh- all the flavors of the Middle East, always hits the spot. Highly rec.
Love this place. The half soup and sandwich options was delicious and affordable! The vibe is so cozy and comfortable, the service is great and the food is excellent. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options!
Everything was delicious. Great selections of soup. There were 5 of us and we all cleaned our plates. Lovely guy behind the counter, too.
Comforting soups and delicious well-made sandwiches. I ordered the grilled chicken panini (with pickled peppers and mozzerella) and chicken soup, both of which were exceptional :)
Blast of flavors in every dish! Came across this place totally randomly. We tried two sandwiches named middle eastern mushroom, and vegan along with moroccan cigars. The portion of the food is quite good for the price they charge. Ambiance is okay to cover quick-bite needs. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of vegetarian, vegan options. Highly recommended!!
First time going to Bite and it was very nice. Good food and good service, just a pleasant experience. Organic Egg Sandwich (With Ham and Cheese): The bun was very good and soft, yet nice and crispy on the outside. The eggs, ham, and swiss blends beautifully. For a simple sandwich, its good. Black Forest Ham Panani: The bread was very good and the melted cheese tasted great. The black forest is good too, they use Boars Head I think. Overall, good experience would come again.
What an amazing find. We visited today and had the most wonderful lunch. We had the combo options with sandwiches and soup and all 4 of us were incredibly happy with our choices. Beautiful flavours, fresh ingredients and so filling. Also, a slice of the freshly baked banana bread to finish which was delicious. Really made our day. Thank you.
We ordered vegetarian lentil soup, spicy black bean soup and hummus with pita and falafel. Everything was delicious. Soups had lot of taste. Prices are low. 100% recommended
The paninnis we're delicious, specially the one with basil, crunchy on the outside and soft and flavored in they inside. The service was nice and kind, the place have a very good vibe, the music was good. We were eating, others were studing and working, and everyone was confortable, certanly we'll be back.
We certanly recomend this place for breakdast or lunch. The place is simple and and nice, the food is delicious, they make they panninis just as i liked, try they ones with basil. And the service so great, the music, they disco ball, and the actitude of everyone so kind. It's funny cause many people we're working as they eat, and we has a great time just having lunch.
Wow. Get here now! Or real, real soon anyway. Bite has amazing fresh Mediterranean food. Great service and hey, really good music too. And affordable. Nicely done Bite! I’ll be back. Everyone should be back.
I have been ordering the same thing (Mediterranean Salad with Chicken Schnitzel) since I moved to NYC nearly 10 years ago. The dish has NOT CHANGED the entire time. Everytime it’s the same amazing meal. Hats off to Bite for literally 10 years of consistency
My mom and I were in the area and found this place that was veg-friendly for me, but still had lots of options for her. She ordered the regular schnitzel and I got the vegan schnitzel, plus the boureka plate because I was super hungry. Everything was amazing! The bread they use for the sandwiches is from a local bakery and it really elevates the sandwiches. The portions are also really good for the price. My mom was full from half her sandwich, and she took the rest home for lunch the next day.
Truly a lovely little place that offers a number of tasty sandwhiches and other dishes! The Sabih sandwhich was such a delight and filled me with great joy! Also highly reccomend the fries, and any dish that includes hummus is a MUST. Great vibes inside with super friendly staff, can't wait to come back someday :)
Came here for a quick bite after going to The Friends Experience on a Sunday with my family and every dish was absolutely delicious. We had gotten the Shakshuka, parm sandwhich, chicken panini, split pea soup and chicken schnitzel. The girl, Sienna, at the cash register was very sweet and patient as we had an indecisive group. Needless to say, this was a great spot for Mediterranean food and would highly recommend!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The perfect spot to enjoy a homemade cup of soup and sandwiches made using the FRESHEST of ingredients. I recalled their having a “Half Sandwich 🥖 + Soup Special” (under $14) to my surprise they prepare a delicious Vegan Chicken Parm smothered in Marinara sauce and served on a crusty baguette from Balthazar Bakery. Fantastic! I paired that with their Homemade Gazpacho 🍅 which I enjoyed drinking up! Full of texture and fresh flavor! It’s a plus that this place is open till 10 PM on weeknights in an area where most places at this price point close by 7 PM. On the weekends, they close at 9 PM. Another HUGE plus is that if you join the “Rewards Network” program, you can earn JetBlue points every time you eat here or get delivery from them as long as you remember to pay with the card you’ve linked to your account. I look forward to eating healthy while earning points to TRAVEL! ✈️ A+++++
I stumbled upon this sandwich place. I asked the server for a recommendation and he suggested the Chicken Schnitzel sandwich and the Grilled Chicken panini. Although I was craving beef, I went for the Grilled Chicken panini. It was one of the best chicken panini I ever had. Also their fries … let me tell you they have the real “French” fries. It is thin and not too soft nor too crunchy. Gust get a large one you won’t regret it.
4.7 stars. We happened upon this little cafe at Happy Hour. Their peach sangria is on point! I had a long drive later that evening and was not planning on drinking but the peach sangria was delicious! I had two. The fried fish sandwich with za’atar fries was large portioned, reasonably priced and good (not greasy). The Middle Eastern Turkey II was also very good. The falafels were pretty good, moist and not dense. Lots of vegetarian choices. The staff is friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable for Manhattan. 4/2024.
cute little cafe with mediterranean bites. i had the pita platter with hummus, baba ganoush, and labneh. they were all very tasty. i also had the zaatar fries with feta. i wish the fries had more seasoning on them but they were still yummy. the portion sizes were great. the staff was very friendly. great spot for lunch or a quick snack.
Great customer service. I ordered the Cuban Grilled Cheese Combo. The sandwich was amazing but I didn’t like the tomato soup very much. It is homemade which nice but I’m not a fan of the tomato chunks; I would’ve liked a smoother consistency. It was also very fresh but lacked some flavor.
This is a great spot with bohemian vibes and awesome music and intriguing art on the walls. Food was flavorful and a good portion . I had the grilled chick panini the white peach sangria which was not disappointing and my fiancé said the lemonade was on point. I'm glad we stopped by.
There menu looks amazing. They have salads, bowls, sandwiches, panini and soup. The unique Mediterranean touch adds flavor to every lunch plate. They do a half sandwich and salad deal. This place is reasonably priced! This is the Mediterranean salad which is good but there was way too much hummus and I love hummus. The bread for the panini was delicious. Def a satisfying meal.
I stopped by on a snowy day and ordered myself a grilled chicken panini with mozzarella and a lentil soup... .soup had some deep hearty flavors in it and the panini was quite tasty.... I really have no problems with the food The restaurant itself is a little bit eclectic it has its own unique feel and flavor to it... Sort of bohemian artistic feeling... Quirky even....not flashy...a few repairs could help here and there... The staff was very friendly and was able to work with me with a couple of food adjustments for my diet... Reasonable prices...Overall Recommended
Had a nice vegan schnitzel sandwich that I really enjoyed. Service was good, the staff were friendly and considerate. Nice super casual vibe to the place. They even have limited alcohol offerings. The improvement they need is concerning the bathroom. Desperate need of an overhaul and deep cleaning. I will be back to try one of the other vegan options.
The homemade tomato soup was great. Not fully puréed which gave it some texture. Not too spicy so anyone can try it but I think with a bit of spice it would have been even better. The only complaint is that it wasn’t very hot when it was served. In fact if it was served either piping hot or as a gazpacho it would have been fine. Warm, not so much. Well you’d think that if you order a grilled cheese you’d expect a bit of oil. Didn’t disappoint. Oily and cheesy. The gruyere could have had a stronger taste but it was fine. The ham was very good and the pickles tied the flavours together. I hate how the bread get soggy with grilled cheese sandwiches so it’s always a race to see if you can eat it faster than it gets soggy. Once again I come up short against the humble grilled cheese sandwich.
I usually love ordering from this place because the food is really good at a reasonable price point. The reason why I'm leaving a bad review is because the delivery arrived cold, missing items, and it took over 90 minutes from ordering. I tried calling the restaurant for an ETA or a refund on missing items, but no one picked up and there's no voicemail inbox. I would recommend to order and pickup in person. Don't use their website delivery, it's so disappointing.
I'm a brown man who isn't Middle Eastern but reads as such. I've been going to Bite for almost a decade. However, recently, I was there on a day when the owners were present, talking loudly at the table closest to the counter. I kept getting scowls and strange looks from folks at that table. The owners then proceeded to loudly criticize the current NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. On my way out, I thanked the manager, and they looked straight at me but didn't acknowledge me or respond. Only reading the reviews here now and see that politics around Israel/Palestine are playing into how guests are perceived and treated here. I'm good—there's many other excellent soup and sandwich places nearby.
