Went a bit early, the vibe was nice. I'm sure as the night went by it was better. Food was great
Wonderful spot for delicious cocktails and tasty bites! Super friendly and attentive staff.
I had my birthday party here, the ambiance was fantastic, the space is just right and true to the size, Craig was super helpful in arranging everything, even devised a special cocktail menu for the party! Goes without saying the drinks were top notch!
Great wine bar on the Upper West Side. The atmosphere is intimate, relaxed, and exactly what you want from a neighborhood spot like this. It feels comfortable right away, not loud, not rushed. Service was spot on. Attentive but never pushy, which is harder to find than it should be. The food was delicious, well thought out, and paired nicely with the menu. And yes, the drinks were excellent. Everything we had was balanced and clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing. It’s one of those places you’re happy to stumble into and even happier to come back to. A great little wine bar that we really enjoyed and will definitely return to.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Every single dish was delicious — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. You can really feel the care and passion behind the food. A special thank you to Chef Miguel for an outstanding culinary experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the entire staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming. Truly a place you want to come back to. Highly recommended!
I had a fantastic experience at Dacapo on the Upper West Side last night. It’s a very intimate bar with a cozy atmosphere, and the drinks are crafted to perfection. Jay, who served us, was incredibly attentive and made the experience even better. This was my second visit, and I can confidently say I’ll be back. The music adds to the vibe, and there’s a great balance between the lively party room in the back and more intimate seating areas in the middle. I highly recommend checking out Dacapo and definitely ask for Jay when you go!
Thank you Da Capo for your personal service, great conversation and most of all the delicious burgers with caramelized onions, one of the best salmon burgers, cooked perfectly and 90% salmon instead of filling, last but not least well seasoned potato wedges. To top it off when we couldn't decide which burger to order, we were offered to have our burgers cut in half so we could taste both. Awesome!
Da Capo hosted our team holiday party and we couldn’t have picked a better place! Everyone was super friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Craig was very accommodating and made planning so easy for our team. Great service all around and the cocktails were incredible! We will definitely be back!
Da Capo has a great downtown vibe located uptown. We recently held a birthday celebration with a group of 10. The low, round table with banquet seating made it easy for everyone to converse, versus getting stuck talking only to the person seated next to you. The cocktails were delicious; we drank too many of them. We ordered flatbreads, meatballs, and a few other finger food apps for the center of the table. Everything was delicious. Thank you to Craig for the booking and to Jahmi, our fabulous waiter who didn't kick us out when we overstayed our welcome. Highly recommend.
If you’re looking for a genuine neighborhood "jam," look no further. This place is not just a restaurant; it’s a friendly, fun, and constantly evolving experience! I love their dual concept coffee shop during the day, and cocktail lounge&restaurant during evening. Their signature cocktail list is truly amazing and the staff and the overall atmosphere are what tie this entire experience together. Best of all, the owner, Craig, is always there, constantly circulating to crack jokes and make everyone feel welcome. His fun-loving personality is the heart of the whole operation. This spot is a total must-visit for anyone in the area—whether you need a morning latte or an unforgettable night out!
Wonderful "25th" birthday celebration; From the moment we arrived, the team invited us into our home away from home; The atmosphere is superb -- house music just perfect, and we were able to bring our own soundtrack to play because we rented the back room. Atmosphere was so sophisticated that we didn't need to decorate, and the food and drink OUTSTANDING!!!!! Thank you to Craig -the visionary at De Capo, and Johmmy and Rachel, who facilitated our party, with their energy and joyfulness, the evening was perfect -from start to finish!!!!!!!
We had a great experience here hosting a corporate networking event in Da Capo's back room! Craig the owner was extremely attentive and helpful with picking the menu and creating a good atmosphere for the event. Definitely would return.
If you’re in New York, you would be remiss not to try this restaurant/bar. I am a Canadian and like to visit NY annually, and Da Capo is an imperative stop on every trip. You MUST try the tortellini.. but every item on the menu is worth trying, including any one of their signature cocktails. Also, staff is top notch - Tay, Jahmi, Rachel, and Jay… all wonderful people. Stop in and say hi! 10/10 would recommend!! ⭐️
What an awesome concept. A coffee bar in the morning, then Da Capo converts to a cocktail lounge at night. I stopped by in the afternoon for a cappuccino, and both the service and coffee were outstanding. We will definitely have to return for lunch or a cocktail. The space is beautiful. It has a great high-end, downtown type feel to it. A very cool place to grab coffee.
Really enjoyed a date night dinner here! The kale salad was a perfect appetizer. The salmon burger was absolutely delicious! The salmon and col slaw were perfectly done. Wedge fries were well seasoned! My husband enjoyed the burger! We had a slice of the grandma pie for desert which had a light lemon taste to it, a refreshing dessert. They are known for their cocktails so I tried a cucumber one that I really enjoyed!
Great ambience for a date or friendly, intimate gathering. Wide range of uniquely named cocktails. Classy decor. Professional and friendly staff. Food was tasty but when paired with all the above it just makes even more of a favorable impression. The depth in terms of how far it goes back allows for a difference of seating but still feels at times as if you have the place all to yourself. Recommended with enthusiasm.
Have eaten at hundreds of restaurants in NY, but this is the first one I’ve ever given a 1 star to without even having tasted the food. Let me explain: My gf and I walked in the afternoon of Jan 10 looking to get some brunch. No tables up front so we walked towards the back where we were greeted by who I assume was the manager who asked if we were going to get more than just drinks. We answered yes. Then he asked again, “but you’re going to be getting entrees correct?” Again, we answered yes. Then as we got closer to the back he asked again, “You’re each going to get food right, not just sharing something?” That’s when I turned around and just said, “you know what, nevermind” to which he responded “sorry, it’s just really busy so I want to make sure.” It all seemed very profile-y…was it the way that we looked? Was it how we were dressed (admittedly we were in pants and hoodies because it was raining pretty hard outside), but it seemed no matter how many times I told this guy we were there for brunch, he kept wanting to verify we were actually going to order an acceptable amount of food in his eyes. We ended up going across the street to Mermaid Inn for brunch. Luckily when we walked in we were able to get seated without being interrogated like we were on an episode of Law & Order.
