Update: the muffins have gone way downhill and as such, I no longer stop by. It’s a shame because they were quite good until a recipe change or else a decision to reduce the blueberriness Very good blueberry muffins and extremely solid coffee. One frustration, the lids leak fairly consistently; by the time I get to my office I usually have hot coffee dripping down my hand. I’m often there before the morning rush so it’s an easy in and out. At times service gets backed up, but I believe it’s because of the hotel across the street, people are unfamiliar with the menu and they can be slow as hell to make their selections. Not really the employees fault. Most of the employees are very friendly, and for the ones who are less so, it’s fine because dealing with the public must be a frustrating experience. I know I couldn’t do it.

Spotted this Gregory location while walking by 33rd street. From outside you will easily miss this spot . Roadwork 🚧 around this place .. actually love the interiors. Nice setup and lots of seats to sit and eat.. Service could be better . Billing and ordering took some time . Loved the Cafe latte that I ordered . Coffee taste is good . It’s sloghtly expensive but ok once in a while . I’m not a big fan of their breakfast though ! No parking around . Good experience overall.. 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love that NYC has lots of good coffee chains. Most cities only offer Starbucks, indie shops, and nothing in between. Gregory's is a great example of a chain delivering high quality coffee, great atmosphere, friendly vibe, internet, and (most importantly) a bathroom for patrons.

Coffee and espresso are very good. However food options are subpar. The skinny sandwich is terrible. The deluxe is decent. The best thing we ate was jalapeño scone. Needs improvement. Just for drinks it is ok.

came here twice on a trip. the first time, i had a rude barista who asked me what i wanted, then walked away for about two minutes while i waited patiently, thinking they were doing something quickly. then came back and said “if you’re going to ask for that cold brew (i forgot which one it was), we ran out”. ended up just getting a small black coffee and pastry. the next day however, i had the sweetest woman who said they were out for the day of the cold brew i wanted the day before, but found some extra nutella for the drink, and gave me a larger one without charging me for the large. she was so sweet

I have to join the many poor reviews of Gregory's. We were staying accross the street for a week and wanted to make this our breakfast location. First, no prices are posted on their public boards. Huh? You have to aak and the barrister mumbled ans was rude. Second, the food portiona are tiny. Even by NYC standards, you don't get much. The coffee was fine but we fiund many better alternatives on the block. Cannot recommend.

This was the rudest establishment I experienced so far on my NYC visit. The counter person was so un engaging. Didn’t answer any of my questions. And don’t even know if they served chai or not. She had to ask someone; they don’t btw. The barista wasn’t overly nice but an angel compared to the counter person. Ended up giving my coffee to a homeless person and going across the street to a real coffee house. Skip this place. Two stars because the croissant wasn’t bad.

Gregory's is a hit or miss. I work right next door and have visited this location porbably over 50 times since it opened. I don't go often anymore due to cost, but will treat myself when their seasonal drinks are available. The issue at this location for me is THIS ONE BARISTA...he is rude, unwelcoming and to top he makes bad drinks. Recently this has happened twice; I'll get a drink made by the black girl who is there in the AM, and love it; I go back and bad barista makes my drink and it taste like absolutely nothing. I loved their Banana drink over the winter and she made them so good. Then one day I got the rude guy and of course no flavor; a $13 iced coffee. Today, I go in for a love affair and again, not an ounce of hospitality from bad barista and of course my drink (paid for no ice and extra strawberry foam) had zero flavor and none of the paid extras. This location could be great... but bad batista is in the way. Oh well Noa Cafe is literally around the corner and their drinks and service are consistent. It just sucks because Gregory's is really good....when you get the right barista.

Got a latte and a bacon egg and cheese. Latte is good but it wasn't hot,I had to microwave it. And the bacon egg and cheese was burnt and literally had like 2 soggy pieces of bacon inside. How is that a sandwich?

I found the interaction with staff unacceptable. I did not complain, I simply asked for a fresh cup because my coffee was cold. The employee responded with, “What do you expect, we close in an hour.” Closing in an hour is not an excuse to serve cold coffee or speak to customers dismissively. If a business is open, customers should still receive a properly prepared product and basic professionalism. Management should seriously address this, as the response demonstrated poor customer service and a lack of work ethic.

The coffee and smoothies are gross and so is the food. McDonald and Dunkin’s donuts are better than this place and the employees seem to not care about their job. My coffee tasted like cleaner solution. I wanted to vomit.
