Recensioni di La Isla Restaurant New York
I recently had the pleasure of trying this place, and I have to say the food exceeded every expectation. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real attention to detail. You can taste the quality in every bite. The seasoning was perfectly balanced—not too heavy, not too light—and the ingredients tasted like they were handpicked that same day. Portions were generous, the presentation was clean, and the flavors were on point. It’s rare to find a spot where every dish feels consistently well-crafted, but this place definitely delivers. On top of that, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. This is the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be returning!
Okay okay this place wasn’t bad at all. First time here and it was a wonderful time. It was great vibes and Enrrique (hope I got his name right) was positive energy. We had the wings, the fish sandwich , and the shrimp pasta. I had the cooper beer and my friend had the martini flight. The food came by super fast for a spot that was busy since it’s located at a hotel. I love how clean it is and the staff. The staff are awesome. They seem like they do enjoy work. I love that. If I am in the city again, I’ll come back and try something different. Cheers to good energy.
Isla & Co. is a fantastic brunch spot with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The food is uniquely Australian, offering a delightful mix of flavors that stand out. They clearly put a lot of thought into the flavor combinations, making each dish an experience on its own. The coffee is also excellent, perfectly complementing the meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Aussie-style cuisine or is looking for a new brunch spot in Midtown. The vibe and food make it a must-visit!
Loved the place. The food, ambience and experience is amazing. Had Kimchi scramble was amazing and the fact that the knife was sharp enough to cut the sour dough was a great experience. Not many restaurants have that ease. Martinis are definitely the attractive point. All the flavors were great.
It’s was our first time here and we had a great time. The food is so delicious and the service is fast and outstanding! Our waiter Juan made sure that we were comfortable and happy. We ordered the kangaroo appetizer and for the main dish we ordered the steak and frites. DELICIOUS! We definitely will be back soon.
It was my first time visiting Isla & Co. in Midtown, and to be totally honest, the sandwich didn’t look that appealing when it first came out. But wow, looks were definitely deceiving. It was so good. I added cheese just because, but honestly, after the first bite, I realized it didn’t even need it. I’d definitely order it again. I also grabbed a Sprite for some bubbles and enjoyed a quiet, peaceful
Isla&Co is serving up $25 espresso martini flights!!! That’s I love it !!!! There are three different flavors for the price of one! I love the kangaroo skewers, and homemade hummus. This is one of my new favorite spots in NYC. ISLA & CO. Is 1000/10. This is Australian cuisine with a little extra flair. Good deal on $25 espresso martini flight. sexy, fun and perfect for drinks, dinner with the girls or date night I can't pick my favorite dish but you HAVE to try the kangaroo.
Isla & Co is an australian resturaunt in midtown. It's a hidden gem located inside of The Hendricks Hotel. Love the aussie pride, they have lots of fun facts and cute reading material within their menus and Traditional australian offerings like Kangaroo and Vegimite... lmao Ive eaten here twice and its always good food, good drinks and reliable service. They have an indoor garden area towards the back of the resturaunt and a full coffee bar as well. I had the hicken parm it was HUGE lol, I left with a box that I ate for lunch the next day haha. I'll always recommend this spot to people visiting nyc and I would come back :) This is a good spot to bring coworkers, business friends and family visiting from out of town, maybe not a romantic date night.... unless ofcourse you plan on staying in The Hendricks upstairs ;)
They seated us even when I accidentally messed up the date of our reservation and we showed up a day early. Service was pleasant and responsive. The food was exceptional. Our whole group of 8 people was thoroughly impressed!
Cheesecake waffles were worth it. Their fries are good and the spicy chicken sandwich is not too spicy but delicious. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Also, don't be afraid to try their chocolate martinis!
Wow! We didn't expect much when we realized the restaurant was located in the hotel lobby. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The menu was really cute and funny! We sat at the bar and received great recommendations from the bartender. To start, we shared the espresso martini flight, which allowed us to taste various bases - whiskey, tequila, and rum. If you love espresso martinis, this is a must-try! Next, we shared the kung pao fried cauliflower, which was executed perfectly. The cauliflower was crunchy and not overpowered by the sauce. For our main courses, I had the fish sandwich and my partner had the OG burger. Both came with fries and the portions were generous. Plus, they tasted just as delicious the next day! We're looking forward to returning for brunch next time!
Visited yesterday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious and fresh the meal was. The flavors were very unique and they put an interesting twist on traditional meals. I truly enjoyed my meal and certainly look forward to returning and trying other options. This place is also really nice, great for having a nicer lunch date.
Kangaroo skewers are unique and delicious. The taste and texture profile is the same as beef but a bit more chewy (which I like). The green tahini sauce was amazing and fresh and the onions complemented the meat very nicely. I also had the steak which was perfectly cooked and served with chimichurri and bernaise sauce and nicely crispy fries. I never had Australian chicken parma before but I think it was just ok, the tomato sauce was very dominant. I wouldn’t recommend it as a first choice and probably go for the OG burger next time if I come here! The atmosphere was nice and although the service is understandably slow (probably due to limited location) but I have no complaints!
Came here for the happy hour and had a great time. The food was great and our server Jesna was amazing. She was so sweet and attentive. I would definitely come back here.
Welcoming and personable staff really made our visit fun. We came into the city for a day trip and chose this brunch place because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. The restaurant decor is light and airy with plenty of greenery. Thank you to the waitstaff for what you do and for making each customer feel cared for. Trying the kangaroo skewers was a fun experience as well! Delicious :)
We went to Isla & Co. in Manhattan for brunch and had such a great experience! We were seated around 2 PM catching up with old friends, and by 3 they dropped a Happy Hour menu on our table — we were thrilled and decided to just keep hanging out. Service was excellent, and the team never rushed us off the table like many Manhattan spots tend to do. Drinks were amazing — definitely try the Mezcal Passion Fruit cocktail, it was delicious. The truffle fries and breakfast burrito were both great choices, and our friends ordered pasta dishes that they really enjoyed as well. We sat in the outdoor patio area, which was covered for the summer and comfortably quiet, making it perfect for conversation. Overall, just a really pleasant brunch experience. I’ll definitely be back!
This was a fun find. Located on the ground floor of Hotel Hendricks in Midtown, it might not be where you would expect to find good food and a great atmosphere, but here it was. Went with smashed avacado toast topped with smoked salmon and a poached egg. Loved it. Alcohol free bloody mary and a latte, both of which were amazing. Great staff, great vibe, would definitely go again.
The strawberry cheesecake waffle is the best waffle I’ve ever had. Sugar cane crust crunchy on the outside soft and fluffy in the middle, with a burst of flavor in every bite. I was confused about the apples but it totally works. Tobey our charismatic and charming Australian waiter was awesome. 1st time at an Australian cuisine restaurant. We will be back!
Stopped in for a quick burger for lunch. “OG Burger” was excellent. Fries were competent but nothing special (I would prefer fresh cut). Service was very fast and friendly, and it’s a very cool looking spot. There is a big focus on their cocktails, especially the espresso ones. My seat was near the bar and everything coming out of it looked great. It was busy but not packed when I was there, but it’s also a smaller place so make a reservation at more peak times. Will return.
I celebrated my birthday at Isla & Co (Midtown) a couple weeks ago and could not have asked for a better birthday dinner! Our servers, Toby and Penny, were so welcoming, friendly, fun, attentive, and accommodating throughout the entire night. Thanks to them, the night went incredibly smoothly. The ambience in the garden room is so charming and really added to the experience. Thank you to Isla & Co for hosting and making my 26th birthday so special, and a big thank you again to our incredible servers Toby and Penny for such good cheer and 5-star service. One last shoutout to my wonderful friend, Jesna (who also works at Isla & Co) for organizing and setting this up behind the scenes!
i went here after attending rooftop cinema, and it was really close and i saw this place marketed on ig as a bougie looking place but more affordable, and that is exactly what we got. i got the spicy vodka pasta with shrimp and it was extremely good with the sauce that i asked to box it up and the server was rlly nice and said he can bring more sauce for me which i declined. the vibes inside are really nice and i would definitely come here again
Super cute place, love the interior design and their menu design specifically. Me and my friend had brunch with few drinks here during last Sunday, we are satisfied with everything we ordered. The place is busy during the weekends. And we been told to wait for 30mins to get a table, so we decided to sit in the bar instead. BTW their staffs are super friendly.
After a while of looking for a great brunch place, we were able to run into this amazing Australian inspired brunch restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and was instantly seated without a reservation. The food was very tasteful for I ordered the pulled pork hash. The ambience is very nice and calming such a great place to in quickly to get a quick bite or just a very easy-going luncheon. Would love to come back and visit.
What a fun and delicious place. If you don't care about learning anything about Australia then it might not be as charming for you. The food will still be delicious though! Drinks are great, the menu is fantastic. Really something for everyone. The Afagato is really something else. Not sure what kind of ice cream they use but inject it into my veins. Shout-out to Toby and Juan for their excellent service. Fries are seasoned and crispy. Can eat a bucket of those. The kangaroo is good, just know that Kangaroos are like MMA fighters. So lots of muscle, it's a bit of a chew but worth it for the experience of a Roo skewer. Loved the breakfast roll, such a thick delicious scrambled egg. I didn't expect to struggle to finish it but yet I did. Half of our table ordered the burger and all of the plates were clear. Definitely a winner. Cocktails. All of them. That is all. Crikey, what a place.
I had a birthday brunch here and the service and atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. Our waitress, Lina, was super friendly and helpful, she even helped us take photos while setting up an area for us to take pictures. The restaurant was nice, comforting, and clean. The food was also amazing for the prices, overall had the best time. Can’t wait to come back again!
Really enjoyed our lunch here. The staff were very nice and the service was quick. We got our food rather quickly and everything was amazing. No complaints. I definitely recommend the kangaroo skewers, the fish sando, and the wings! The wings were truly amazing and crispy. Highly recommend this place for a nice brunch.
if you're in the area, GO HERE!!! we got the kimchi egg toast, the mushroom toast, and the kangaroo. all were delicious, but the mushroom dish will never be forgotten! the best mushrooms I've ever had. a lovely atmosphere, perfect and knowledgeable service. loved seeing how much the staff enjoyed being there as well. all around a great experience and I couldn't recommend it more!
Super cute spot for brunch with friends. The ambience is lively without it being over crowded. I also appreciated that we were not rushed to get in and out. We were able to have a longer fun time on a Sunday brunch. The martini flight that was super tasty. The mushroom toast was particularly tasty, it goes really well with avocado.
Excellent food, great service The OG Burger was outstanding! The Tiramisu was really good, had a richness without being too sweet to overpower the coffee flavor. No complaints at all, will definitely be back!!
This was the best place to get brunch with my girls. The atmosphere was cozy and calm, and the service was beyond incredible. Our waitress, Lina, was the sweetest, most amazing person ever. Not only was she super attentive, she went above and beyond to make sure my friend, the birthday girl, got the pics she needed for the gram. She also checked up on us multiple times and made us feel so taken care of. She made our whole day. Definitely needs a raise and a promotion! :) The food was also super yummy and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake waffles and the truffle fries. I can’t recommend this spot enough and we’ll definitely be coming back!
The drinks were to die for — strong, perfectly balanced, and made exactly how they should be made. The food was delicious, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere had such a cozy, chic vibe. Everything came out quick and fresh. This spot is definitely a new favorite. Can’t wait to come back! 🍸✨
Saw the high ratings and decied to give this place a try. Looked very tiny from the outside but once we entered the dining area, we were pleased with the ambience. Our server and the staff were very friendly and service was pretty quick as well. The food looked and tasted really good and we enjoyed our brunch here. The ratings are thoroughly justified and I would highly recommend dining here.
Juan is an outstanding waiter — always attentive, cordial, and respectful. He is very kind, friendly, and quick to respond to any request, which makes the dining experience at Isla & Co. even more enjoyable. The only recommendation I would make is to add a baby changing table in the restroom, as it is truly indispensable for families with little ones.
We split the Lemon Broccolini Orecchiette between 2 people and ordered a side of toasted multigrain bread. We (sadly) couldn’t finish the pasta and only ate half of the bread. The portions are very generous and the bread very thickly sliced. We stopped before a matinee and did get a little anxious that the food wouldn’t come out in time, but we were so happy with the quality of the dish that it was worth the little stress.
I had a really lovely experience at Isle & Co. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming. Even the text messages they send are nice and friendly! Our waiter, who was from New Zealand, was genuinely kind, attentive, and made the brunch feel personal without being overbearing. We started the meal with bubbly and the food throughout was very good. Everything felt well thought out and balanced. To finish, we did the espresso martini tasting set. The banana version was our favorite! Overall, a great experience with good food, lovely service, and a comfortable vibe. I would definitely go back and happily recommend it.
I see why this place is highly recommended, it’s a great chill and intimate atmosphere, for couples or friends, and there are several sections for seating that have unique vibes - such as a terrace area with greenery but still indoors. Great drink selection, a cute nod to Australian foods and great service. The squid was some of the best I’ve had! Highly recommend if you’re in Midtown.
Wow! Wasn’t expecting to love it this much. This place was close to my hotel and my boyfriend and I just wanted a quick brunch spot but u was pleasantly surprised. Staff was super nice and I cannot remember the name of my waiter but he was very efficient and nice as well. Food was excellent and I feel the price was good especially given the area we were in where everything is usually super overpriced. Love it here and would go back anytime!
The food, cocktails and friendly service were great. We came in for a late lunch, to try their expresso martini flights and their Australian food. Everything was delicious. It happened to be Happy Hour from 3-6 so we ordered some appetizers to share along with unique martini flights. So good!
We had brunch here over the weekend and were very satisfied with the entire experience. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the hostess efficiently found us a table. Our server—a very cool guy from New Zealand—deserves a shout-out. The vibe was great and the dishes were excellent. We shared the kimchi scramble and the pork hash. My girlfriend preferred the pork hash, while I loved the kimchi scramble—it was bursting with flavor. Portions are generous, so you probably don’t need dessert, but we couldn’t resist. We ordered the strawberry apple waffle and didn’t regret it at all—it was outstanding. Highly recommend this spot, and we can’t wait for the Brooklyn location to open.
What a great breakfast! I ordered the breakfast sandwich and I was a little skeptical because I had a hash brown potatoes on the sandwich, but it was absolutely outstanding. Much better than what I anticipated. My wife had the avocado toast and she very much Enjoyed that. Service was very attentive and punctual.
Amazing time! Service is attentive, food was good! The atmosphere is extra nice - soft lights and a sophisticated yet relaxed look. Not too noisy - there’s music, loud enough to mask other conversations, but not too loud. The scarlett rose espresso martini was a good touch, so were the menu details! Recommend it!
The tiramisu was one of the best desserts I’ve had in awhile absolutely delicious!! The drinks are also tasty and there’s a really good deal for happy hour with $7 wines (great selection) and $10 cocktails (also delicious). The sausage roll appetizer was also amazing. I have to mark down one star for the chicken we ordered with the power bowl and the green curry. The chicken was not good at all and tasted like it was the type of precooked chicken you buy at the store. Aside from that the power bowl was good. I will say the curry had too much rice and not enough veg, and normally the rice would come in a separate bowl for curry when I’ve had it. I like the ambiance though and I’d probably come back for the happy hour specials or the meal special they do on tuesdays
This Australian restaurant was great to enjoy happy hour with friends. The service was great and it was really cute inside. Some of the dishes were mediocre tho (the rigatoni - didn't have a strong flavor and not too much shrimp - and the steak and frites - my friend found it okay; the steak was chewy and the fries were just ok). Bonus points for having the option to split the bill easily via QR code by item!
Isla & Co. in Midtown is a polished spot with a lively vibe and a menu that mostly delivers. A couple of dishes came out a bit lukewarm, but the flavors were still on point and the portions were satisfying. The cocktails are well-made and pair nicely with the shareable plates. Service was attentive and kept things moving even when it was busy.
Enjoyed eating lunch here! I did have a reservation but it wasn’t needed since it wasn’t that busy around 12:30pm. I got the quinoa grain bowl and it was seasoned very well and didn’t need the sauce that it came with. I also got an iced coffee which was tasty. The service was quick and the food came out quickly as well.
The kangaroo skewers were great! We got the kangaroo skewers, truffle tries, and Thai spiced squid to share. All were great. 1 of 3 main came out about 10 minutes after the apps and we were waiting on the other two. No one really check in about our main. So we asked and it seemed like they forgot. A little after we finally got our other 2 main dishes. But it was cold. Didn’t seem like we had a main server taking care of us. Would come back for the kangaroo skewers.
Came by for lunch with no reservation and the wait was pretty quick, just 5 minutes for 3 people. We got seated all the way in the back where it was less packed and the wait at the table was a little long but they were busy so it’s understandable. Food wise, the shrimp pasta was good! However the two burgers came to us a little cold rather than warm/hot. Fries were crunchy and hot though. Would come back if I pass by here again.
Isla & Co. is almost the same as its sister restaurant, Hole in The Wall. The ambiance is relaxed yet stylish, making it an inviting place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The menu is small, but with many drink options and includes some of the same items like the mushroom toast and breakfast burrito. We had the pulled pork Benedict which had nicely poached eggs. It would be great if they included a side salad or some fruit as you only get one piece of toast for the $20. plate. The tea was served piping hot which is always a good thing. Service is attentive and friendly. The menu is hilarious. For fans of Hole in The Wall, Isla & Co. feels both familiar and new.
Awesome drinks, awesome food. And $15 for cocktails is better than the $17-$18 at most places. More over the app they use "Sundayapp" allows parties to split the bill but item. It's really innovative.
We were in the neighborhood and looking for a brunch place and online reviews said this place was good and the menu looked decent so we decided to check it out. We did not make a reservation but were able to put yourself on the waiting list so that is what we did. When we checked in, we still had to wait about 15 mins so in total the time detailed during the wait was accurate. Once seated, we ordered the burger with fries, avocado toast and the mini breakkie which came with eggs, beans toast and hash browns. The burger was decent but the fries were good, the avocado toast was a good size and had good flavor. The beans on the brekkie looked like they can from a can but were still good; the eggs and bread were good while the hashbrowns looked premade. The flavor and quantity of the flavor was good and each was filling. Overall a good brunch place if you are in the area as the food and ambiance were good
The espresso martini tower was great, and so was the kangaroo and truffle fries. I was disappointed by the bread on the avocado toast and all the dishes felt like they needed some salt. Service was really lacking when we went. We weren’t greeted for a while and it took forever to get our drinks (plain coffee, soda, water). Apps came out at the same time as the meal. I’d love to try this place again for dinner or when they’re better staffed.
Update: We decided to return to try more of the menu. Unfortunately, our second visit wasn’t as successful as the first. The breakfast burrito was enjoyable, but the fried chicken sandwich fell short—the bun was dry. I wish the pudding came with more sauce. Really generous portions for a reasonable price. The cheesecake waffle was perfectly mild, with just the right amount of sweetness. Everything was just amazing—definitely worth trying!
We came here for brunch and ordered the smashed avocado toast and kimchi sambal scramble — both were really good and flavorful. The food was definitely the highlight. Service could use a little improvement, and the location was a bit confusing since it’s at the entrance of a hotel. The atmosphere wasn’t something we liked
Came here for Sunday brunch with a 1 PM resso for four people. It's located inside the lobby of a hotel. It's an Australian brunch spot, so some of the menu items have an Aussie twist to it, but you still also have some of your regular brunch items. I wanted to try the kangaroo skewers but I knew I was alone in this, so I ended up getting the Sausage Rolls (thai spiced pork mince, puff pastry, sweet chili sauce) and a side of Chicken Salt Fries. The sausage rolls were good but I guess they're on the "for the table" section for a reason. After a few, it gets to be a bit much. I was deciding between the sausage rolls and the Crispy Chicken Sando. After trying a bite of my friend's chicken sando, I immediately regretted not getting it. The fries were good - they're battered fries, which I love. I saw a few tables that had an espresso martini flight, which looked cool. Will have to come back next time for that, the chicken sando, and someone who is willing to split the kangaroo skewers with me.
the place itself is very aesthetic. we came for brunch and were starving but it felt like forever waiting for our food to come out. the food overall is decent but the kangaroo skewers we got felt overcooked, it was so dry and chewy. however, i really did enjoy their aussie iced coffee, it really reminded me of the coffee in australia and i was super excited to drink it because everything taste better with ice cream. the other menu highlight for me were the sausage rolls.
The food was presented beautifully but tasted just fine. The drinks were probably the highlight of the meal. The service, decor and atmosphere were lovely. This is definitely an instagram spot. My two complaints were surrounding the seating and the payment process. First, they were not clear that we would be sat in an outdoor area with weak heating in the reservation process. We went in the winter and were dressed for indoor temperatures as we did not expect to be in an outdoor space. Secondly, upon reviewing the bill after arriving home, we realized that their payment system which was done using a QR code had charged us tax on tip (or some unspecified fee) and added a service fee for payment. This was not mentioned prior to payment and, as far as I experienced, is not the custom at restaurants and left a sour taste on the experience.
If you need a steak knife to cut a fried fish sandwich in half that's a bad sign. I brought my mom here after a trip to the doctor where she couldn't eat. We decided to share the fish sandwich and the power bowl. I thought it was a problem with the knife until I bit into the sandwich and discovered that the crust was hard and also stuck to your teeth when you bit it. As an Australian citizen, I consider it weak to be an Aussie restaurant and not serve proper, crispy fried fish. Since she was starving, my mother chose to keep the sandwich. I know that our waiter, who was very nice, informed the management, but they did not have anything to say to us. Our fries were very good and she really liked that the tartar sauce was not overly "pickly” as she put it. The power bowl looked like a hot mess including some spotty looking avocado, but was tasty. They do serve a fun looking espresso Martini flight that I spied on somebody else's table with three different versions of it.
The mushroom toast looks wonderful BUT it’s so sour! When I was eating it, I was thinking the chef might have a broken heart because the dish is sour. Let me explain it: the looks of the plating makes you want to try it right away, you took a bite and the vinegar hits your mouth. You will think “wow, what an interesting kick!” When keep eating, the vinegar taste stuck in your whole mouth. The more you eat the vinegar taste got stronger, into your throat and linger there. The cappuccino is a little bitter (I believe it’s the coffee they use) and it doesn’t feel creamy/rich like a traditional cappuccino. It has the taste of cocoa as you can see from the picture.
Food, drinks and service were good. They have happy hour so we tried some of the happy hour food (Spicy Chicken Wings) and drinks (Espresso Martini, Margot Robbie & Smoke Show). The bathroom was unisex and it was dirty. Also they have a 2.5% credit card fee which wasn’t disclosed on the menu; I told saw it when I asked for a receipt after paying so if I didn’t get a receipt I wouldn’t have known that there were fees.
We had been meaning to try this spot for a while and like that it a quiet respite in midtown. The high ceiling gives the restaurant a very airy quality. There is something for everyone on the menu I think whether vegetarian or not, drinking cocktails/beer/wine or coffee and tea, and a mix of food options from salads to sandwiches to pasta. I like some of the Australian touches like half the wines are from Australia, options Tim Tam add-on, and kangaroo skewers but the restaurant was out of kangaroo when we went. While a lot of places in midtown try to move you quickly, service here is slower and possibly nicer for catching up with friends. Food is ok. We ordered our steak frites medium rare and it came practically well done. The OG burger had bacon that was so hard we had to leave bits of it on the plate and saw others left it too. I would probably try this place for brunch and hope the food is cooked a little better and not out of things.
The staff was lovely and the ambience was nice. Drinks were very enjoyable. The food however was just so disappointing all around. The lamb ragu had absolutely no flavor - it was watery and needed a mountain of salt to make it somewhat better. The pasta I make at home has more flavor. Possibly one of the worst pasta dishes I've had in the city to be candid.
First off, we started with a 1:45pm reservation and we were seated at 2pm and received our orders by 2:40pm. It was just a long process from entering to starting our meal. We only saw our server when we ordered and received our food - never once in between, which seems odd compared to other reviews where people raved about the service. The fries for all 4 of us were also drenched in oil as shown in picture, not crispy just soft from oil. The flight tower cocktails were delicious though. The bathroom was shockingly a mess, clearly not checked in on for some time - trash was full even though it was large and a used wet wipe was sitting on the trolley/cart.

Midtown's Quirky Culinary Getaway: La Isla's Surprising Delights
Heard about this spot, La Isla, tucked away in Midtown and figured I had to check it out. It’s got this interesting vibe going on, a bit of a quiet respite from the city hustle, even if finding the entrance at a hotel can be a touch confusing. Once you’re in, the high ceilings give the place a really airy feel, which is always a plus. Now, for the food – this is where it gets really interesting. Despite what you might expect, La Isla serves up a surprising array of Australian-inspired dishes.
