Very friendly staff, great food, and nice atmosphere
Great tasting food and overall good service
Had a great time. Nice place to just network meet great people
Love the atmosphere, and the french fries with gravy!
great vibe , great music , the dancehall tunes were great
Good service attentive staff. College age recommendations
Great pours of wine, happy hour on Friday night is totally worth it!
Big open area. It has two floors. Good for watching sports with lots of TV's in all areas.
Much better bet selection than it's sister bat next door (Penny) but beware the AC isn't capable on the hot days.
Great spot for brunch. Food was excellent and priced just right.
One of my favorite places in NYC! Friendliest staffi ever.
Perfect place to have a deep conversation and be in the presence of world class bartenders!!
Nice place for brunch and a good wine selection .
Solid service with solid food. Happy hour is the best.
Had the salmon and wasn't oven on the menu and I asked for it they were more then accommodating.
Fun bar to sit on the patio and people watch. If you are lucky Shannon will be your weight person!
Stopped in last Monday for half price bottles of wine! Shannon was so welcoming, will definitely be back
Great drinks and great food! I have the patty melt which was out of this world! Reasonable prices and courteous staff.
Elegant and polished bar with an amazing menu. Try the Free Bird Fry sliders or the Ham & Stilton. Or come for brunch and have the Breakfast BLT.
Great extension to Penny Farthing. Location for large group meals or party space with its own bar.
Comfy, cozy and friendly. Good happy hour. Love the steak on mashed potatoes and flat bread.
The best! Sit at the bar, you’ll always have a great time!
Fun bar for group parties! Wasn't extremely crowded either so it was easy to get a drink from the bar.
An old staple. I still love the food here. It looks like a big homely living room. Enjoy!
Wonderful quick service! We were there for brunch and the food was delicious and reasonable priced!
Love the warm & cozy vibe. They have a great happy hour with $5-6 wine.
Great Happy hour and great selection of beers, would recommend as really chilled out atmosphere
This place has amazing food!!! Everything on the menu is delicious!! The ambiance is also awesome ✌️
Cool bistro, hopefully I'll be back soon enough.
The food is delicious and the cocktails are well made! The fries are crispy, just the way I like them. Also the service is excellent and I felt very safe eating here.
Food was ok, not great, but not bad. Service was very good. We got there early on a Saturday night. When it started getting busy, our server was slower in getting to us, but the bus service was excellent clearing out table. Nice local joint to meet friends, have a drink, or eat.
We had a Christmas party here and the food they did for us was pretty great. Sliders, chicken fingers, tacos, nachos. The works! We also did open bar for three hours. People had a blast
The slightly upscale version of The Penny Farthing. The televisions are often turned off. Quieter. More small plates. Same salads. A great Texas toast burger (the patty melt). Think of this as the date spot version of Penny Farthing. Consider this if going to a Webster Hall show with your partner. It's a lovely upscale pub.
I was there for a private brunch for a baby shower. The food was delicious and the service was great! I am from Texas and it's difficult to find really good food in New York. I was very much impressed by the food and service. I will definitely be going back.
I had the chicken roaster and it was delicious, definitely worth it. My boyfriend had the Hallsy Burger but he said it was a bit dry, he expected it to be much better.
Great place for brunch very inexpensive and you get a free brunch drink(bloody Mary or Mimosa) for free with each brunch dish. Highly recommend this place
Absolutely amazing place. Food is delicious, home fries out of this world. A+
They have a really nice selection of food, but be prepared to spend $20+ on just the entree. Their servers and bartenders are super nice and attentive! They also have great happy hour deals, I usually come for their $8 wine and mixed drinks from 4-8 on Fridays
Christmas decorations are so tasteful. Great happy hour!
Linen Hall hosted my wedding on Sunday October 20th and we couldn’t have been happier. The space is beautiful, we got so many compliments on how cute everything was, the staff from managers to bartenders were so incredibly friendly and helpful and really made us and our guests feel so welcome and important. Another huge hit was the food, everything I had was delicious and I know a lot of our guests went back for 3rd and 4th plates haha. The sliders being the favorite by far. Thank you so much for a day my husband and I will never forget!

Bartender was sweet and attentive even though it was a busy day.

Great pints, amazing service at the bar. Combined with Penny Farthing, which also has great service. Environs and ambience were great too. Most importantly: fantastic Guinness pints.
Staff is courteous and efficient. Food was delicious and prices were great.
Recently hosted a NYC Marathon after party at Linen Hall. The service was incredible - so communicative, organized and accommodating. The food platters were perfect for guests and there were more than enough bartenders for drinks. Amazing experience - will definitely host more parties there in the future! Space is so cute.
When we got there a private party had just ended, the bartender brought us in, showed that he needed to bring in chairs, etc and within minutes people were bringing in chairs, setting the table and seating us. Super friendly bartender (Irish accent?) who took care of us the whole dinner. Really enjoyable atmosphere with super friendly staff. I'll be back!
We hosted a large event here and it was a great experience. From friendly easy to work with staff to great food and good pricing for larger events. Would host here again in a heartbeat.

Modern american fare. Nice decor. Good for brunch and events
Solid bar, pretty good bar food.
Fast service, good appetizers
Good place for happy hour specials and a tasty bar menu. Friendly bartenders.
Friendly staff, good pour and fun atmosphere. go 2night for Superbowl!!
Nice atmosphere and good food. Good value for dinner and drinks.
Great happy hour. A bit loud. Great food .
Best sweet potato fries. Should have booked extra wait staff for the World Cup though
Great place for drinks, employees can work on more enthusiasm.
Great place great food. Love the brunch here.
Generous size portions of food, definitely left here feeling full!
Came here late to finish off the night and was able to grab a table and enjoy the company of friends and coworkers.
Went here after panorama music festival with Allison Kellen and Jeff. Pretty empty
Very good food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Good value. Dishes well prepared and filling. Had the steak frites and a chicken dish. Will definitely be going there again!
It is a small place. The seating options are limited. It is a good place for meeting people while having a drink or a light meal.
Mac n cheese was on point, sliders are always tasty, and the shrimp po'boy sliders are more than you'd expect. The happy hour make this a go-to for an early dinner before a show!
Good spot for NFL in a pinch. Fairly quiet. Decent food & service. Snooty waitresses. (plural.)
It's a quiet bar for New York, good ambience, wind selection could be better. But attentive and friendly staff make place better in the end.
Decent bar - high energy, but not too loud. Perfect place to get a drink while waiting for Han Dynasty
I didn't eat here, which is why I only gave it four stars. I went late night for drinks and it was the perfect atmosphere - nice and not too noisy. I had a Raspberry Beret cocktail and it was delicious!! I am sure I will go here again.
This place came highly recommended to me for it's atmosphere and the food. I found the atmosphere to be okay and I wasn't overly impressed with the food. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I am glad to say I've tried it and can check it off my list of brunch places to check out
Solid Friday night choice in the East Village, with lots of tables and American-style comfort food. Nice wine section; friendly waiters. I will say that there is a weird vibration going on at the front of the restaurant under the floor, which was very confusing (trains going underneath?) but not enough to interfere too much with an otherwise lovely evening of drinks and appetizers :)
Great cider selection!! Will definitely be back. Good for groups. Came here with a few friends this past Sunday. Very polished inside and the food passing me looked great. It's a Patriots bar though...
Great food - Good atmosphere
- Chicken appetizer - 10 drumsticks and two wings in the dozen. Chicken dry rub was lightly spicy and nice. The BBQ sauce on the side was light and was more reminiscent of ketchup. - Avocado salad - good amount of thinly sliced avocado as well as nuts - Patty melt - not large but very rich and came with fries Ambiance: Music is not too loud, they have a TV with sports on but the sound was not on There's candle light but it's a pretty casual place
This place was really cute. I went here for a Holiday Party with my former company. It was nicely decorated and the apps were nice and fresh. They ordered a great selection of appetizers, grilled cheese, chips and dip, etc. The vibe was really nice.
Great place to hang and meet new friends
Good place for a drink or light meal for meeting a friend. The dining area is not big. It's a sharing place with Penny Farthing next door. It's always pleasant in this small establishment for hanging out. Food was decent and light.
We got the beef sliders and fries. Very delicious and quick food turnaround. Only complaint is the door was so close to the food that everything got cold really quickly but that’s just part of the seating. The food was delicious and I love the vibes! We sat there for hours talking and the staff were friendly, attentive and the energy was great. Did not feel rushed to leave. Highly recommend!!!

Chill EVILL bar. Really cheap happy hour 🍻 and great classic fries.
Solid brunch. Food was very good, the fries were amazing! I didn’t do the bottomless drinks option so I can’t speak to that but would def recommend this place.
The team at Linen Hall offer quick and professional service. I attended a reception here hosted by the Asian American International Film Festival for this year’s centerpiece, “Transplant”directed by Jason Park. The space was a bit tight but well organized with plenty of small bites and beverages to go around.

Perfectly reasonable brunch in a quiet, no-frills environment.
Food and service were both good. Great seasonal drink specials.
The food was good but the service wasnt that great.
Good happy hour drinks. The food is okay. I ordered the Hallsy Platter to share with my friend, and the meats were gross, like deli meats. It was also mainly meat. The mac'n'cheese was solid.
Pros: Cozy, nice bartenders willing to let me try wine before I settled on a final decision for a glass of wine Cons: none that i can think of
Second-rate American food and drink spot with spacious seating to easily stop by for a quick visit but nothing unique enough to require you to go in. $15 a dish/drink. 3.25/5 stars as a lunch spot.
Meh place for mediocre drinks and unexciting food. We all left wishing we hadn’t come.
I love the look of this place. Reminds me of London (I'm British)! But the customer service is totally subpar
Expensive and upscale, inattentive FOH staff but alright drinks.
It was okay. The food is mediocre but big portions. The flatbread tastes like the pizza lunchables. The drinks are a little watered down. It’s not a very diverse environment. It was just okay. I wouldn’t recommend, remember or return
Nice atmosphere, ok service but not very attentive. Wings were good but avoid the salmon at all cost! Over cooked and a fake industrial sauce. Pasta were ok, nothing special.
Cute looking place. But the music was awful and the food was so bland. Ordered a curry quinoa. Pretty average spot.
Bad takes too much time to serve and waiters care more about their older clientele than the younger ones
Walked in on a relatively slow Friday night, sat at the bar for probably 7+ minutes while the bartender walked back and forth in front of us without asking for our order, and then continued to chat with some other people at the bar. Can’t really review for drinks or food as we didn’t get to place an order. Come here if you like being ignored!
We were in the city to see a play and made reservations at the recommendation of the theater. When we arrived we were refused entry because of the a member of our party was wearing a festive holiday sweater. No where was this dress code listed on their site or told to us when we called to make reservations. We were not even allowed to remove the offending sweater since the bouncers had already seen it.
One of the worst steak frites I’ve ever had in my life. I cannot believe they charge $35 for that monstrosity. The quantity is decent but the quality is terrible.
$16 drinks not fresh ingredients and $16 PRESSED MEAT CHICKEN TENDERS…at least use chicken breast not processed meat. Sad. No wonder it was empty during prime brunch hours. No THANK YOU! Service good.
A much more detailed review. The place is very lovely to look at for sure and it seem to be an ideal spot to hang, if a bit too limited with a full party happening. What I didn't care for was the Bouncer they used recently that for some reason allowed me to enter a party there for about a minute before I was grabbed physically by my book bag and talked down to disrespectfully about having the bag on. When he could have easily told me to remove my bookbag as soon as I enter. I couldn't help but feel like he was looking for an excuse to physically assault someone. It ruined the vibe of hanging there and I felt like leaving cause of it. It was tempting to curse him out as he showed very little consideration for how it would make a guest feel being talked down like that. Hence, anything to warn others of what they can expect for events here, this place deserves no respect for that kind of treatment.
