This museum is one of the best in the city. Fantastic works of art from various time periods. With many notable works. We spent a few hours exploring and learning about each piece. I’m not a great critic or art, nor do I pretend to understand it. However, I did truly enjoy my time here. Worth the visit.

The world famous MoMa certainly is worth spending a few hours walking around, featuring works from some of the most influental artists. The free entry makes it a must for any art-lovers who visit NYC. I would advice to go early to avoid the busy crowds which turn up late morning/early afternoon

I guess there’s no need to mention how spacious the museum is or how beautiful the collection is. The only suggestions would be clearer signage and more seating in the café area. Overall, I really enjoyed it :)

Loved the museum, especially the exhibition dedicated to the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi. Mesmerising work of one of the most influential sculptors of 20th century. Truly a wonderful experience all-around.

We loved our visit here! It was packed with gorgeous pieces and full of inspiration. I could have spent hours longer here, but I also felt like we saw a lot in the 2 hours we were there. Make sure to not step or lean over any of the lines by the priceless artwork. It is extremely well staffed and the employees will keep you on your toes - :) lots of rules so make sure you familiarize yourself with them. The gift shop was full of unique and interesting items. They had a cafe and a seating area as well as a place outside to sit and enjoy the sculptures.

I love art so much! I would highly recommend checking the MoMA out! There are so many different styles of art available. I definitely left feeling extremely introspective on what I think art is and how I see it interacting with the world.

The MoMA is a great chance to see modern art classics in person, even if you’re not an expert. The whole place feels modern, bright, and easy to walk through, making the visit really enjoyable. And the museum shop is fantastic — you can even take home prints and other items!

You don't need to be a big modern art fan to love this museum. It has so many beautiful and famous works. The impressionist collection is fabulous. It is a thrill to walk into a room and see Starry Night right there! The museum is manageable size and well laid out. Their app helps you find the things you want to see. A must-do in NYC .

Enjoyed introducing my daughter to MoMA while visiting NYC for my birthday. We had a great time finding works she'd seen and read about in books. Wonderful experience with various artwork! The 5th floor was amazing, seeing originals from Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso and others was phenomenal. Loved the artist exhibit on the 6th floor, and a lot of the work on the other levels.

Large, iconic art museum; you could easily spend days there. The exhibits are varied, including paintings, photographs, and mixed media. They have a big gift shop where you can find all sorts of eclectic goodies for your art-minded friends.

It was an amazing gallery with a variety of pieces. It is pretty crowded on the popular pieces. But this definitely worth checking out. Children that are 16 and under are able to be admitted for free.

We came here specifically to see Van Gogh's The Starry Night. There is even a Special Edition Barbie made around the painting idea so there you go; and, of course, we enjoyed all the other artwork therein. We were very disappointed that Van Gogh's masterpiece wasn't featured on its own wall but placed next to other paintings that are far less well-known. I would dare say many people go to the MoMA primarily to see this painting. You should make reservations for the time that you enter.

One of the best modern art museums in the world. What I love most is that the galleries change every time I visit, so it always feels fresh and exciting. At the same time, they still showcase the main iconic works from famous artists, which makes every visit worth it.

Oh what an experience! Indulged into Art and Architecture! From Stuff toys hanging from the ceiling to blur paintings that look like a picture on your phone to some intriguing videos it is a treat for the artist and collector. Takes a few hours to cover the whole place so don’t miss the cafe on the top floor!

Wasn't on the top of my list before the trip, but the MoMA was an incredible experience. We timed it with an exhibit showcasing the works of Ruth Asawa (her painting of the Japanese internment camp her family was sent to in Arkansas was eye-opening for me, having grown up in Arkansas). Getting to stare and soak in Van Gogh's "Starry Night" was a bucket-list moment, then strolling among Picasso's, Rothko's, Pollock's, Kahlo, Dali, Hopper, photos by Evans and Stieglitz, and countless other masters of the craft is a visually stunning and humbling way to spend the day.

Went on a Friday night when it’s free. Very crowded but good vibes overall. Interesting to see so many different people and all the art. Go on a different day if you’re looking for a quieter experience

This was an excellent experience, I spent hours there, all was incredible. The restaurant was great too and even the store have a lot different options for gifts you can buy. I love this place, it’s nice to have introspection about yourself because you can feel the calm and the good energy there. The best place.

MoMA is always such an inspiring experience. There were many people tho.. thought it would be pretty empty given it was a weekday afternoon. guess there were many travelers since it's last week of August/Labor Day weekend. I always love seeing the works of Edward Hopper — his art captures quiet, everyday moments so beautifully. Standing in front of Monet’s Water Lilies felt almost meditative, and Picasso’s pieces reminded me of how revolutionary his vision was. One of my personal highlights was seeing Klimt’s work up close, the details and colors are breathtaking in person. The museum itself is so thoughtfully curated, and I always leave feeling like I’ve discovered something new, even with the most famous masterpieces and even i visit multiple times a year. Truly a place where you can spend hours just soaking in the creativity and brilliance of so many iconic artists.

Great place to take the family, go on a date, or just go solo. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good atmophere and plenty of activities and things to see. If you get hungry, they have a nice coffee bar and cafe that serve a vairety of options.

Pro Tip: If you want cheaper tickets, skip the official website! Buy them from third-party sites like Agoda Booking.com etc. The official price there is $30 but I was lucky and only paid $18 on Agoda. By the way the museum is fantastic, featuring lots of works by renowned artists. Amazing place to visit with so many incredible pieces of art. I would check if there is a specific piece you want to see, some are not always on display but there is more than enough to view. I did some research before I went to make sure I knew where the main pieces I wanted to see were which helped as I got to them before they got too busy. I would recommend at least a few hours for a visit but you could easily spend a day here.

Absolutely delighted about our visit and experience at the MoMA. We visited for the family fest and it was great! So much for the children to do, many more for the adults to see. The wait times for some exhibitions were a little long but after 4pm it was much easier. The staff was always very helpful and friendly.

This is an absolute gem of a museum, very well located. Grab a bagel and coffee before you go in because you’re going to be there for many many hours. I wish I’d done my research well beforehand because I had no idea what I was getting into. If you’re in a time crunch just don’t go because you can spend an entire day on one floor alone! This place and all that it offers is massive!! You will need as much time as you can afford. An entire day would not be enough if you’re an art enthusiast or adjacent. Everyone should go here once! Thoroughly inspiring.

Attended recently to see the Hilma af Klint exhibit with my friend, a guided tour for Latino and Hispanic Heritage month, and for my first exhibit opening for Ruth Asawa. It was sort of like a party but it was also just nice to see the exhibit early. There was a dj and drinks and seasoned walnuts I think, and the outdoors area was beautiful at night. The guide was knowledgeable and provided great insight for the pieces we saw. Entry was easy every time, there’s rarely a long wait

Always worth a visit. The only downside is the number of people in there at the same time, which can alter the experience. I was there during a big rainstorm, so people probably stayed way longer than the usual average. But most Collections galleries were still tolerable!

The crowds were manageable, giving us space to take things in without being rushed. Being able to stand in front of major works and actually absorb them—without constantly stepping aside for foot traffic—made a huge difference. MoMA isn’t just about looking at art; it’s about ideas, perspective, and how creativity reflects the world we live in. Whether you’re deeply into art or just want to experience something inspiring, this museum delivers. Easily one of the highlights of our time in New York.

Definitely a great museum to visit and explore. Getting your tickets is fairly easy as you can get them online, or get them there which is to the left after you enter. After than go to the very right and there should be an escalator that brings you upstairs where they will scan your ticket prior to you entering. I’m definitely not an art connoisseur but the main reason I came here is because I wanted to see paintings from Van Gogh, Picasso, Dali and Monet (all floor 5) which are all artists that I heard about as early as elementary. How often do you get a chance to see a piece of art that has been through the test of time and still maintains its significance. Although those paintings are my main reason for coming here, I did enjoy going through the other pieces of art. The thing that is really entertaining about this museum is that they have so many different arts in different mediums as each room has its own style and continually progresses. You aren’t stuck in one genre such as renaissance where everything begins to look the same. Overall the experience took me about 1hr 50min with me going through everything but also kind of speeding through some pieces that I had no interest in.

What a breathtaking, beautiful & peaceful museum. Every art tells a story and every corner it’s just immaculate! The staffs were friendly, helpful and very nice and the museum itself looked very organized & easy to follow. Visited here on a Wednesday and because it’s such a large building it didn’t seem crowded, but there was a line for the coat and bag check which is a nice feature. You can look, watch, observe and even touch some art pieces, without having to carry your coat and maybe bags if you’ve been shopping already. I learned that art really is in the eye of the beholder and can be in many forms. ANYTHING can be art! I started at the top on the 6th floor and worked my way down. They do have elevators for accessibility and they have a cafe that serves food and beverages. I didn’t eat there, I was overwhelmed by the art. They tell you only pictures, no fancy cameras and no videos. I spent well over 3 hours here just looking and reading about artist and their works. Some things I walked right by, others caught my eye. Some artists encourage you to be a part of their art others are hands off. Some warn you that you might be misted with water. Oh and some tickets give you admission to other sights to see in the city or a discount to see other sights.

If you love any kind of art, whether it be Starry Night or models of schools, this is the place to go. It is well priced and has plenty of floor with cool paintings, sculptures, and other pieces of history. It doesn't seem to be incredibly busy, but do be respectful when stopping to look at the exhibits, as people are always walking through.

What is there to say, it’s MOMA. Easily spent a whole day here, slowly perusing the 6 floors of galleries. Particularly enjoyed the Ruth Asawa exhibit that is currently ongoing, as well as Wilfredo Lam’s artwork. Also really appreciated the creative corner, where you can sit down in a quiet area with street views while you doodle and contribute some art of your own to the space. The extensive gift store has so much variety for getting yourself a little memento to remember your visit.

My favorite museum in the city. I recommend starting on the top floor and then making your way down. It does get quite busy on the weekends and the best time to come is about an hour before closing on a weekday. It almost feels like you own the museum during those times!

I always work from the top down at places like this the the pieces on display of the 5th and 4th floors were well curated with differing themes room by room.

Spent part of my day here and still didn’t get to look at everything! This museum is giant and maze like with tons of art but such a good experience. The capsule home exhibition they have was the main reason behind our visit, and then we spent another 2.5 hours looking at the 5th and 4th floors. There’s truly so much to see and this is not a one day visit by any means. The museum can get very busy and some popular pieces like the starry night might be harder to get to. The notecards and information is all simple, easy to understand and super informative. It is a very popular museum but you can tell great care and love goes into every exhibit.

Museum of Modern Art was an absolutely amazing experience. The museum is super clean, very well organized, and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. There is so much to see — you can easily spend hours there and still feel inspired. The only downside was the cafeteria situation. There is only food service on the second floor, and both cafeterias had very long lines. Since the museum is huge, it would be great to have vending machines with water and beverages on each floor. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely worth visiting. I would happily come back again.

There is so much to experience, that more than one/two visits are warranted. I was fortunate to take a 6-week art class there so my personal experience is a little different than what others may have. They do offer little portable stools so you can sit and really take in the grandeur and information of a particular artist. I'd really recommend taking the time to read the little signs and placards of any artist you may be interested in. It really helps you to grasp the artist concept for any particular piece. To me putting eyes on Claude Monet's Water Lillies was the highlight of my visit. Absolutely Epic!!!

I was there yesterday, December 19th, and I thought it was fantastic because I was able to see works by Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, Diego Rivera, and other famous artists. I was especially impressed by the sculptures of the Japanese artist Ruth Asawa, as she uses techniques that resemble swarms, which makes these sculptures very delicate, as if they could fly on their own, especially since some were suspended in the air. It's definitely a great museum to visit in New York.

This was my first time going to the MOMA and I fell in love! I took my kids with me and my daughter told me this time was better for her than the first time. The art is absolutely beautiful. I felt bad for one of the security guards during one of the exhibits because people kept touching the art and she looked very stressed. I visited The Met on a Friday evening and had an outstanding experience. The Temple of Dendur looked especially stunning lit up at night — a perfect backdrop for exploring the museum after hours. The Arms and Armor collection was a major highlight, showcasing incredible craftsmanship and history. I also enjoyed the Greek and Asian galleries, each filled with striking pieces, and the European collection, which offered impressive depth and variety. I spent about three hours there and quickly realized it wasn’t enough. The Met’s scale and quality make it easy to lose track of time, and I’m already planning a return visit to see more. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, culture, or world-class museum experiences.

This venture was on my 'Bucket List'. It was great. I loved every minute of it. The art was wonderful and was all I thought it would be. If you go, make a point of thanking the staff in each gallery. I found they were all really nice and few of the visitors talked to them. The food on the balcony cafe was nice and great staff.... But like most of NY it was expensive.

Floor 5 is where you want to go. That’s where the legends live: Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Monet’s Water Lilies, Dali’s Persistence of Memory, Matisse, Pollock, Warhol, the list goes on. Seeing the real paint, the texture, the human effort behind each stroke is something no screen or print can capture. The traffic flow inside can feel a bit confusing compared to other museums, but honestly, if that’s my biggest critique, that’s a win. The attached restaurant is surprisingly good, clean, quick, and fairly priced, and the massive gift shop is worth its own visit. If you’re hunting for unique art-inspired gifts or design items, this is the place. This isn’t just a must-visit museum; it’s the museum for anyone who longs for the salons of old, who keeps art as their phone wallpaper, who dreams in baroque and modern hues alike. Go here. Now.

Visited the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and had an incredible experience! Even if you’re not a huge art person, this place is absolutely worth the visit. The collection is massive and beautifully curated — from famous classics like Van Gogh’s Starry Night to amazing pieces by Picasso, Warhol, Monet, and Dali. Every floor has something unique to offer, from paintings and sculptures to modern design and digital exhibits. The layout makes it easy to explore at your own pace, and the atmosphere is calm and inspiring. The staff are friendly and helpful if you need directions or recommendations. It’s also great that they have plenty of spots to sit and take it all in. Whether you’re an art lover, a tourist, or just looking for something memorable to do in the city, MoMA is a must-visit. Give yourself at least a couple of hours — it’s an experience that really sticks with you.

Excellent museum with notable pieces across decades. There is such a vast variety of works that I'd recommend visiting even if you aren't a huge modern art fan. I would definitely plan to spend at least 1.5 hours here but preferably more. In my opinion, the MoMA is best experienced when you have plenty of time to savor and appreciate its incredible collection. The museum is reasonably crowded during peak hours but not unbearably so. Certain famous pieces always draw large crowds.

I recommend starting at the top floor and working your way down. The top floor features some of the most iconic pieces, including works by Van Gogh, Monet, and Salvador Dalí. As you continue downward, you’ll come across pop art by artists like Andy Warhol. Further down, things get a bit more experimental, with some installations that may leave you wondering, “Is this really art?” — including strange humming sounds and a video of an ant accompanied by loud clicking noises. It might not be for everyone and could be a bit off-putting for more traditional art lovers. We also visited the café on the terrace, which was a great experience. Definitely worth checking out. Overall you’ll leave with some amazing photos and will certainly be a fun activity for the whole day!

Listen. This is one of the greatest art museums in the world. Name a modern painting you like and it is probsbly here. Masterpiece after masterpiece with stunning special exhibits and incredible surprises of works by artists you dont know, early works by artists you do, and just spectacular curation throughout. The museum is so good it has fallen victim to itself. It is always packed to the gills. You sometimes have to physically push your way through to see what you want to see. The masses of people become exhausting and if the garden is closed, the museum does not have any thoughtfully designed spaces to stop and rest. I go to dozens of museums every year and this is the only one I ever go to and get museum fatigue. I keep going back becasue the art and the museum is fantastic but I always leave worn out, not refreshed like a museum should leave you.

Beautiful museum. Got tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines. There is a security check upon entrance. Was on a Friday afternoon and extremely crowded. Was a bit disappointed because it was hard and almost impossible to see some of the more popular pieces of art up close because of the crowds. Huge gift shop that was also packed with long lines. If I were ever to go again I think I would try earlier in the day.

Really enjoyed the museum Had some great exhibits. Got to see the OG starry night painting. So much texture on that painting when you see images you assume it's flat, but live and in person it's incredible. Had alot of different mediums on display.

The facilities and systems are impressive. However, there are so many people entering at once that it’s difficult to tell whether you’re viewing an exhibit or just walking through a busy market. For highly popular works, it might make sense to set up a queueing system.

Maybe I have not enough convictions about modern art. Very little I find enthusiastic. Don’t get me wrong I like Moma especially the 5th floor with the 1860+ paintings exhibits : Picasso, Toulouse Laitrec, Magritte, Gauguin, Dali etc. What a fantastic collection Those make me thrills and a big envy to stay longer. And I believe I am not Ali e. Indeed this 5th floor is crowded while other floors are a bit of a desert. Wonder why

Loved it. A great day out and I'd visit again. Extensive art journey, I understand the popularity, especially because of the location, making this a worthwhile city excursion. Great gift/souvenir shop and very helpful and welcoming staff 🙂

One of my favorite museums in the world and I know many. I come here every 2 years aprox. This time I missed a lot of works that had been removed. I loved the Andy Warhol collection and now they only had a few cans of campbells. I’m chilean so I wanted to see the Roberto Marta paintings and they weren’t there anymore. And I’m not a fan but the most of Frida Kahlo works were removed and the only left is one of her family. And the furniture and architecture section were reduced as well. The monets were there but not all of them. A lot of blank spaces, less independent rooms. In the new things I found plastic arts and B&W photography. In conclusion I left with the feeling of seen a 40% of the MoMa. It took me 1,5 hrs. And in the store most things you could find on Amazon and a few merch of Van Gogh starry night and Monet, but almost no more cool and fun MoMa merch.

Cool place if you're into art, a little sceptical on some of them being real. Definitely in a safe or a billionaires house for some of these. I mean I was in arms reach of being able to ruin one of the most sought after paintings in history.... Saudi Prince probably has it

We came to visit on a Wednesday, there was a line to get to the bag check. We got the tickets online so we were able to have the attendant scan them and entered. There were a lot of people in every level. It's a little surprising it was that crowded on a Wednesday, but it's New York, so I guess it was to be expected. I didn't get a lot of the arts but there were a couple of pieces resonated with me (so I took some pictures). It's a nice place to walk around and spend two hours, but it's not my type of art museum.

Nice exhibition. But to many people... Going down under its own succes. Extreme rude security.. The restaurant was nice. Good wine and a nice snack. Friendly service up there.

A sizeable collection of art with a relatively affordable entry fee given all there is. Though, it doesn't really have a large percentage of what I would consider modern. Much of the space features artwork in the 100 year old and more range. Still, quite a few interesting pieces in the collection.

I am a Van Gogh fan and was excited to see Starry Night in person. I also enjoyed seeing many of Picasso's pieces, a few of Frida Kahlo's and a few of Monet's. As for the rest of the artwork, there were a few pieces that made me question how they made it into the museum. I think this museum is worth a visit but probably not repeated visits.

MoMA is one of the world’s greatest museums, which is why the poor condition of the restrooms was surprising. The sinks were dirty, the paint was peeling, and even the soap bottle looked old and cheap, made of plastic. As a New Yorker, this is honestly a bit embarrassing!

This museum may have been interesting at the beginning of the 20th century. Nowadays, it is a swan song. I recommend the dinosaur collection. The museum was made famous by a film, which is why we visited it, but the exhibitions (except for the dinosaurs) did not arouse our interest.

MoMA was overcrowded and noisy throughout the entire building, making it difficult to enjoy the museum at any level. This was especially bad in the Van Gogh / Starry Night gallery. Instead of structured crowd control (such as lining people up or timed viewing), the attendant responsible for the area repeatedly physically pushed visitors backward while shouting for people to “back off.” This involved hands-on contact, not just verbal instructions, and there was no immediate safety emergency that justified it. The constant noise, shouting, and pushing made it impossible to properly view or appreciate the artwork. A museum should allow space for reflection and respect for both the art and the visitors. What I experienced felt chaotic and unnecessarily aggressive. Given the cost of admission, this visit was a waste of your money. MoMA needs better crowd-management strategies for its most popular works and clearer standards that prohibit physical contact with visitors. Until then, the experience prioritizes volume over quality.
