The menu is broadly Asian. Did not try the house special Cantonese clay pot, but everything we tried was great. Taiwanese fried chicken (ordered a second), Malaysian chicken curry, Thai pork jowl and Japanese onigiri. Service was great, food was great. Lighting was a little bright for dinner. It’s BYOB. Great cozy spot in the East Village, I look forward to being a regular.

Very good rice balls, decent size, rice was chewy. Love that I can adjust the sugar for my HK milk tea to make it less sweet. The extremely spicy noodles wasn't too spicy, it's somewhere around a medium spicy, and make sure to add ginger sauce to the clay pot rice. Follow me on Instagram @joannekyc for honest food thoughts

Tasty and affordable spot for Cantonese claypot rice dishes, offering a wide variety of flavorful options. The portions are very generous, ensuring you leave satisfied after the meal. It's an ideal spot for NYU students looking for a budget-friendly and delicious dining option. For more NYC food reviews, check out my IG @yangnhungry.

I was really surprised to get a real clay pot and spoon for my takeout. I got the eel rice and it was pretty good. The sauces it came with was also a nice addition. Pleasantly surprised by this new spot on 9th. Had to wait around 25 min but was worth it.

Clay pot rice was steamed to perfection. Not too salty nor bland. I love the crispy part of the rice in the bottom of the pot. Highly recommended

Awesome new clay pot spot that just opened in the east village. For takeout they literally give you the pot! The owner was very nice too. Would highly recommend!

Great food, atmosphere, and price vs. portion. Beef was tender and flavors were just right. Would rate higher if I could.

Great Chinese clay pot dish and great service from Carter! Him and his dad are doing an admirable job running this new restaurant as a father son team.

I just ate here yesterdat (I believe this place is new), and the food was amazing! I got the signature clay rice, and the rice was perfectly crispy. The chicken and shrimp with the pot were also cooked really well, and the hosts gave us homemade soy sauce, chili oil, and ginger garlic paste to pair with the pot. The appetizers we got were also stellar (crispy salted chicken and shrimp gyoza). The crispy chicken was seasoned really well and not oily at all. The staff was also really really nice (one of them gave me a charger I could use for my phone and helped us order). Loved this place and wish them the best of luck launching their business :) .

Friendly staff and great food. I ordered the Peking duck handroll, spicy pork belly handroll and broiled eel handroll. All of them are great, but my favorite is the Peking duck.

Stumbled upon this place on Google and decided to give it a try. Ordered their Liu Zhou Lousi Rice Noodles with 2 meats - Beef and Spicy Pork Belly. Large portion came out piping hot, perfect spice and very flavorful. Will come again soon!

I love Rice Bird! Picked up some rice balls for lunch and they were packaged so adorably I still can’t get over it. Not to mention they were delicious, especially the purple in love rice ball. So glad I found this place, will be coming back to dine-in and try their clay pot dishes.

fantastic service in a charming location. i got the beef soba since i wasn’t hungry enough for a clay pot. it was $12.99, extremely good, and generously portioned. their complimentary starter is a sweet, sour, and spicy radish and carrot salad. and, it doesn’t cost extra to size the HK style milk tea up from a M to L.

My family has decided this is our go-to spot for celebrations. Excellent cuisine with attentive servers in a pleasing environment. Employees knew when to check in and when to step back. The dinner options here are good. We'll definitely bring the family back here.

The restaurant’s lovely with the choice of ordering from a screen or through the waiter. Service was fast, as they bring out a mini appetizer to munch on while waiting and the food as it’s ready. My mom got the beef combo set (unfortunately forgot to take a photo), which was absolutely delicious, along with my beef stir fried soba. So fresh and light. This restaurant is perfect for when you want something simple yet absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the tea in their cute mason glasses. My only hiccup, which could’ve lowered the food rating to a 3 but I enjoyed all the other food too much so it’s a 4, is the Char Siu bun (essentially a pork bun). I had a massive (and I mean massive) stomachache and not-so-great-bathroom-experience for the rest of the day, though I was relieved to wake up with it gone. I assume it was the bun due to my mom eating most of what I ate, minus the bun, and plus I regularly jump at pork buns - this wasn’t a good bun at all. The bread was stiff and hard to chew, as if it was old and stale, and though the pork seemed fine, was very bland. Recommend avoiding this one - hopefully the chicken bun is better. Also, note this restaurant does not have a bathroom. So be mindful of that when deciding how much liquids you’d be consuming there!

Some items were better than others. Really enjoyed the Clay pot and pork rice. Bao wasn't that great kind of dry and not much toppings. The riceball were good. The soup dumplings weren't good very dry. The fried chicken was alright lightly flavored.

The choices are limited. No veggies choices. That’s not good as for Chinese restaurant. And we called to order clay pot, asked for recommendations. The staff seemed she didn’t know what was good for it. But when we came for dine in. The menu did have the recommended clay pot serving 6 kinds of meet in one clay plot. Don’t know if the staff was new or she also didn’t think their recommendation was good enough to introduce. Also the staff didn’t asked if we wanted to pick up or dine in but just packed our food🤣 Only 1 table of customers there when we were in during dinner time. 3 pickup orders but only 2 came to get the food. The taste is just about average, cannot compare to the traditional clay pot I have tried before in China.

This isn't my review for the restaurant itself; I will be doing that later. Instead, this is a review for the Too Good To Go app. I paid only $10 for food that would typically cost around $30. Honestly, while it may not feel like a full $30 worth, I would estimate it was about $25 in value. The food was good, and it came with a cup of milk and coffee. However, I found the food a bit bland. Since it's a surprise bag, the contents can vary, so a little bit of added salt would have helped enhance the flavors. The two onigiri pieces were actually delicious, so I would definitely recommend checking them out. Overall, I would rate Too Good To Go a 3.8, but personally, I would give it a 3.4

This restaurant is currently too overrated, only deserves 3 star at most. No one is at the restaurant when I went there at 6:30pm. The 螺獅粉taste good, but the meat is only mediocre. The curry chicken is bad. Curry is blend, nothing like “Singaporean” curry despite what the menu states. The chicken is way overcooked, chicken meat is too tough.
