I wish I could keep this place a secret but the sushi here is so worth it. No deal better than 7 rolls of sushi for around $26. I highly recommend trying the yellow tail scallion roll.

Such a great underrated place! Quick and delicious sushi at an affordable price. Polite service, no issues. This is a takeout place but there is still a table inside. Cash only as well.

28$ for 7 rolls. You can order ahead of time or just take it to the park a couple minutes away. Not great to sit inside, it’s just some boxes and a vending machine. Still would recommend for quick and easy sushi craving.

Absolutely no reason why 3 rolls & 3 pieces of sushi should cost $15. Crazy affordable especially for the upper east side. Super no frills take out counter with only 1 table & 2 chairs. Wasn't the best sushi I ever had but definitely scratches the itch. Will be back to try the 3 roll combo for $12.

idk if any other sushi place in the city can beat this value for money. $55 for all rolls in the photo. very yummy food at an incredible price. a good variety of fish as well. my favorites were the salmon skin and shrimp tempura. the place only does pickups and cash. a good time to order ahead as there is a bit time needed to make them.

For good quality take out sushi I don’t think you can do better than this little hole in the wall joint. It is strictly take out - there are no tables, in or out. A bit quirky, put your order in, walk around for 15-20 minutes but so much better than other places I’ve tried. Good range of options and what I really like, they keep it fairly light on the rice ratio of the rolls. I’ll be back!

Cash only hole in the wall sushi joint. The prices have gone up quickly over the past year. However it offers pretty solid quality sushi at reasonable prices for NYC. Whether you're getting takeout for dinner or some food for the park, it's a great option! However it's not so remarkable that you should make a trip just for this sushi.

I love sushi, and if I can find quality sushi for a good price, I'm the happiest girl in the world. the other day, i got takeout at Sashimi Express 2 and... wow i felt like i could just die happy. their fish was great, but the real highlight was their insane prices!!!! for example, they offer ... - 3 rolls for $9.95 - 7 rolls for $21.75 - 2 pieces nigiri (any type, including SCALLOP) for $3.25 straight up insane!! my fave was the squid!! so easy to bite through, yet still maintained an initial chew before melting into a sweet creaminess. i could have chewed each piece forever if I weren't dining with someone and in conversation. the scallops were great too - buttery, sweet, soft, and not fishy in the slightest. my favorite rolls were the salmon avo and the spicy roll, which had tuna, salmon, AND yellowtail! finally, my bf loved the salmon, which i found a bit too rich and fatty after the first few pieces, but that's the flavor profile salmon lovers tend to go for, so defo suits them. all in all, i highly recommend this place!! it's takeaway and cash only, but you can call or text ahead so it's really not that inconvenient! please support local and check out this cute, little sushi shop!

First off, the food is really good for the price. For all the sushi I purchased, it was only $53. That’s a steal. The rice was warm, fish tasted decent, and overall just really yummy sushi takeout. I come very often for sushi takeout. The reason why I’m only 4 stars is because of the customer service. As a takeout only shop, you’re interacting with the customer for very little time, and a good attitude goes a long way. When I was trying to order, the man behind the counter was on his phone and did not even greet me. I had to get his attention to order my food. After ordering, they told me that my order would take 50 minutes because they ran out of salmon... for a takeout only place, that’s a really long time for a takeout order. But I understood that they might be busy, so I left and came back after 50 minutes. When I got there, the man looked up from his phone, spoke to the chefs, and turned back to me and said it would be 15-20 more minutes. No “sorry for the wait” or anything, just went back to his phone. I placed my order at 7PM. I finally got my order at 8:05PM, AFTER their shop closed. Again, really really good deal and delicious food, but the customer service is pretty bad.
