Recensioni di Lakay Food Spot North Miami
Shazam!!!!! On a late Sunday night when every Haitian food spot is closed, Lakay was my saving grace. It was an unexpected find down Dixie Hwy...A food truck next to a car wash. The food was amazing. Everything was well seasoned, juicy, and well portioned. The patties were served with meat gravy at the bottom. Yum!!!!!! The chicken? Oh my God!!!!😋😋 The bullet? What the heck? Seriously, what are you guys doing in that kitchen? It was moist, juicy, and just pure deliciousness. The tassot kabrit(goat)? I'm done. Just finger licking good. The meat was so suculent I forgot I was eating goat. Seroisly, just do yourself a favor and go try the food. You will be in for an experience. You can taste the passion and love in every morsel. Enjoy!!!!🙂😎 By the way, great customer service.

The location and atmosphere are so serene. A beautiful spin on “hole in the wall”. The food is always fresh and grilled/cooked to perfection! Amazing representation of Haitian food. I recommend it to anyone both in and out of town!
Your destination for good food and unforgettable Caribbean flavor. Rose and Jhonny were very helpful, and will make sure you get the best service.
The food, service and vibe were absolutely incredible. I recommend for sure. Chiqueange made the experience even better. We love her.

Amazing food, great vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and an inviting environment made the whole experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!
We went at 1030p. They were out of legume, wings & rice (well we got the last 2 servings). Guess we need to go earlier 🙃. The outside seating had music playing, the atmosphere was chill. The food was flavorful & lakay sauce was SPICY!
Rose the server is very nice and attentive. She makes the experience great every time. The food is amazing.
Service was amazing food is really good price worth the food Chiqueange she’s very friendly she went above and beyond I love it I’ll most like my eat here again
I came here seeking some delicious, authentic Haitian food. Lakay did not miss. The food was hot, well seasoned and delicious. I waited about 20 minutes for my food and just vibed. It felt like I was in someone’s backyard (in a good way). The waiter was so hospitable. This is definitely my go to place from now on.

Food is good. I wanted to try lambi (conch) but there was none so I tried the fish which was on a reasonable price. Well seasoned. Pikliz is top notch. 👌🏾 Just wish customer service is a little bit better. Will definitely come back

The food is good. But be prepared to wait 2 hours for your order!! This is my third time coming to this location and waiting a ridiculous amount of time for my food! Absolutely unacceptable.

I recently visited LaKay Food Spot with coworkers, drawn in by the appealing pictures online. However, our experience was a letdown from the start. When I called ahead, the staff couldn't tell me what was on the menu, which was a red flag. Upon arrival, we struggled to find parking, having to park across the street. Inside, there was no host to greet us, and the menu was limited. Although the food is made fresh, the wait was long, and the atmosphere was chaotic. My coworker nearly slipped on the slick floor, and our table was dirty. To make matters worse, we witnessed a loud argument between employees, which wasn't exactly subtle. When our food arrived, the presentation was impressive, but the portions were small, and the prices were steep. Unfortunately, my meatballs were undercooked, and I was charged extra for a side of pikliz. For $53, we expected more food and better service. The attitude from the staff didn't help. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Perhaps the owners can work on improving their customer service, ambiance, and food quality to match the appealing pictures online.
Horrible customer service . I order their $8 Akra and I was so shock my the amount of oil that was in my food. It’s like they purposely was trying to give me a heart attack with all the oil that was left on the Akra. Even with squeezing the excess oil with paper towels, it still do no justice . I do not recommend this place at all
They didn't even let the oil dry off my Arka. My whole Akra was drench with oil. Never again.
I shook my head in disbelief when I ordered some Kabrit (Fried Goat With Plantains). Not only they charged me $29, all they gave me was some bones and meat crumbs with a few plantains. Although I'm proud to be Haitian but it's a shame that you are too embarrassed to support your people's businesses. You don't believe me see for yourself I posted the pictures as evidence. Bad business.

This is my first experience here ever. The woman here I spoke with is a lighter skin Haitian woman. She was making food and taking orders at the same time. She was so rude and has horrible customer service. Every time I ask her about something on the menu she kept saying give me a minute and didn't come back to speak with me. The service was so bad to the point I left without even getting to try it. If you want to waste your time here for food with horrible service then this is the place for you.

I ordered the Kabrit (fried goat), which is listed on the menu as being served with Lakay rice, plantain, salad, and pikliz. When my food arrived, I noticed the rice was missing. I brought it to the server’s attention, and she returned with a serving of rice but I was charged extra for it. When I tried to explain that rice was supposed to be included with my meal, the server became frustrated and told me she only speaks Portuguese and Spanish. At that point, I chose to just pay and leave, especially since she already seemed to have an attitude when we arrived. On top of that, the card reader wasn’t working, and when we had to switch payment methods, she sucked her teeth in frustration. If the menu says a dish comes with certain items, customers should receive exactly what’s described without having to argue or pay extra. And even if there’s a language barrier, tools like Google Translate are easily available. I strongly suggest management considers better staff training or new servers to improve customer service
Late night pick up order Ordered griot platter. Once I received my food there was no rice. I asked why I wasn’t told that prior to my food being prepared since it wasn’t ready even after coming 20 mins later. Nothing but looks of bewilderment . I asked for a refund… the waitress rudely walked. Eventually I was told by the cook there was no refund available. Unprofessional. Just making the money. Doesn’t care about the customer especially If you’re not Haitian. This is my second time having an issue. I came from an entirely different county to patronize only to be disappointed and get attitude.
