Nigiri here was very good. Fresh and good quality. Was a little disappointed with the rolls that I tried. Didn't taste great and would fall apart easily. Would not order rolls here again.

One of the tastiest sushi restaurants in Oakland. The Mango Paradise and the Coach Sushi rolls are absolutely delicious. They also make their own ice cream, and we tried the Black Sesame one and it was sublime. Perfect stop before/after a movie night at the Grand Lake Theater!

Such great ambiance and value. They offer an unlimited box of sake for five bucks extra if you buy a meal of a certain amount. The sushi is fresh, the space is intimate and the service is always great. I love meeting up with friends here, since it’s so centrally located and right by the lake. I would eat here every day if I could afford to.

As much as you would like saki (and they never let your cup run dry). Sushi is okay it's not the best sushi in Oakland, but it is affordable. We go there with friends for the saki and good times, not because we need to settle a craving for sushi. Staff was nice, prices are great. I'd recommend for a fun night out.

Delicious authentic sushi right by the lake. For our visit, we had the Warrior Roll, the Happy Roll, a bowl of miso soup 🍲 and the edamame. It was all great, the fish was fresh, and it wasn’t too expensive for sushi! Reminded me a bit of my days teaching English in Japan 🇯🇵

My partner and I had a sushi crazing and decided to finally give this place a try after walking by it so many times. We are so happy we did! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The portions are generous! We are vegan and though they didn’t have many options, the two rolls, miso soup and agadashi tofu were delicious. We left happy!

Nice, small sushi restaurant near Lake Merritt. The sushi was good (not amazing), but the kind staff, good prices, and quick service made this an overall great experience. We ordered takeout and had a dinner picnic by the lake!

I have worked and lived in the Lake Merritt area for some years but had never gone to Coach Sushi before last week. I have to say both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the chirashi bowl and my friend had a Bento Box. Although it was busy, the service was great and the fish was extremely fresh and beautifully presented. There's also nothing better than enjoying a delicious meal and then taking a stroll around the beautifully lit Lake Merritt at sunset.

The Coach Roll is excellent. The Agedashi Tofu was exceptional. The staff is really nice and accommodating. We ordered togo a few minutes closing and thought everything was very fresh and tasty.

Service is fantastic, they remember you and your orders and what you liked All the food is always fresh and the oysters are great, no grit and no slime; the price is great on the lower end of most places that offer oysters. All in all, I love this place and have visited it multiple times, it is a little pricey but if you enjoy sushi, oysters, great beers, sake and wonderful service this is the place to go.

All food was prepared with care and nothing was missing in my to-go pickup order. Cozy and intimate dining space, friendly staff, and clean open kitchen layout. A nice evening casual date experience. Very happy with the price for what you get.

salmon, unagi, bluefin toro, and bluefin maguro nigiri all very yummy! miso soup also very tasty Mushroom soup with salted butter very yummy They had a weekly special of Wagyu with truffle, but mine had no truffle when I ordered. Restaurant tried to scam me.

Sashimi is better in many other places. This was also the worst soft shell crab that I've ever had. This is also the only place I've been to so far which had the Katsu Don and Tofu Misoyaki. The Katsu Don was mediocre. The only thing that stood out this meal was the Tofu Misoyaki.
