Very good attentive staff. Drinks are good and the food is very delicious. The entertainment is always nice as well.
The service was 10/10. Yuca fries are delicious. They have BIG portions
It's literally the best food I have ever had. Very nice welcoming people. Hospitality was great. This fish stew was awesome. The food was so authentic and fresh. The grapefruit juice was on point. The owners, mom, who happened to be the chef, came out to greet me, which made it even more amazing.
This place opened up again 2 months ago! Glad we had the opportunity to come back! Really enjoyed the food and can’t wait to come back. Their seas food options are delicious!

We had such an incredible experience here. I had all this family in town and we were looking for a place to eat for 14 people. It was early so when we stopped in we had the place to ourselves. They basically hosted a private dinner for us, with amazing food, drinks and service. Really a memorable and fantastic experience for a group of midwestern family that had probably never had Peruvian.
Wonderful Peruvian food, including ceviche and homemade alfajores.
I went here last month, expecting some nice latin food and a glass of wine. I was seated at the bar, and immediately felt at home. The people at this place are so nice. I chose to get the lamb, and was absolutely surprised at how amazing it was. I couldn't believe it. Highly recommended. I can't wait to go back.
Went to celebrate Father’s Day today and staff was very attentive and kind food was amazing first time trying Peruvian food overall great experience don’t miss out on this spot
I had never tried Peruvian food before. We asked the waitress for recommendations. She was very nice. We ordered sea food stew and fried fish with rice. Oh my, oh my! It was awesome! The flavor, the texture, everything was amazing! The portions very good size. The facilities were clean. The place was quite busy, but understaffed. We had to wait for our order, but it was well worth it.
Very good service. Nice atmosphere. We tried the ceviche peruano, very authentic flavors. The star of the night was the incredible rice with the chicken. They have also a good pisco sour. Really nice people working here. Thanks to the chef Frank for the great food.

Great place. It's usually not too busy, which lowered my expectations a little, but once I ate there that all changed. The food is excellent, and the service is great! It's a gem of a restaurant hidden in plain sight.

La Furia Chalaca is a lovely hidden gem on a somewhat run-down block near Jack London Square. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and creates a festive atmosphere, with salsa performances playing on the big-screen TV screen adding a real party vibe. The welcome was warm and friendly, and small details like flavored water and complimentary French bread with butter are a nice touch. The menu is extensive, though it would be helpful if the staff mentioned when certain dishes were unavailable. I initially ordered the papa relleno but was told afterward that they were out, and the suggested substitution of beef kebabs wasn’t what I had in mind and turned out to be pretty average. But the ceviche pescado was delicious: fresh fish marinated in bright lime, served with yuca, sweet potato, and a spicy dipping sauce on the side. A great example of how refreshing and flavorful Peruvian ceviche can be. Service timing was slightly unusual, though, as my main course arrived before the appetizer, but overall the experience was enjoyable. This feels like a great spot for a festive meal, and I would definitely return.
The service was top notch. We told our waiter this one was our first time and he explained the menu for both food and drinks. He also opened the door for us when we exited. Service definitely gets 5 stars. However, there’s something wrong with the price on the menu vs what you will be charged. We ordered from the lunch especial menu which says items were $ 17.99 but we were charged 20 for one item and 18 for other two dishes. And the beverages were supposed be $4 based on the menu but were charged $6. May be they updated the price and forgot to update the menu? Anyways two of the dishes fried rice and Marinated pork dishes were very salty. The bed of pasta with fish was very good but I wished the fish was basked instead deep fried. Purple corn drink was pretty good the waiter said it will be sweet and it was. If you don’t have a sweet tooth, you don’t probably want it. Will try again sometime in the future.

The food is fine but nothing extraordinary. The staff is great and will treat you well and they are very attentive. The food, however, is just okay. I've definitely had better Peruvian food but wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. If you're in the are it's worth checking out. The mojito I got was great though, definitely a highlight.

Waitress was also the bartender and the hostess. She was very nice. Dinner and drinks were expensive! The drinks were ok, small and could've been stronger. We were all unimpressed by the quality and quantity of the food. They had a dj and salsa dancing in the back, the staff at the door were hella cool! Back area was interesting, large vip areas with sofas and tables but if you get there early, you can snag a table. Lots of unused space, which left everyone else feeling crowded and separated. Didn't have any drinks but the music was good. Lots of good dancers, couples, regulars and a bunch of conceited men who expect you to ask them to dance. Haha.
First time going. Ordered the lomo saltado : it was flavorful but the meat was hard to chew. Yuca fries were good. Staff was nice

I didn't feel welcomed. The restaurant was empty and they sat us way in the back.

The food was mediocre at best (except for the dessert which was great) and seemed like I could have bought the food at Costco but the prices were 4x what they should have been. 12$ for a single kabab with white mushrooms. Yikes!
Food tastes poor. Dessert, which is rice and purple corn pudding, were really bad!! The rice pudding tasted burned, and the purple corn pudding was tasteless. They charged us for that very tiny portion of that dessert $19. When confronted the lady was very rude. Never coming back. The quality of food is not good.

Place a to go order, was told 20 minutes. Tried to pick up my food and was told 5 more minutes. Waiting an additional 25 minutes before the food was ready. Terrible service. Tell people the actual pick up time don’t waste their time. If an order will take 45 plus minutes be honest don’t say 20 minutes and expect people to just hangout and wait. Do not recommend this place.
