This place is awesome! Parking is great, the quantity of balls for the money is fantastic, and the range is two tiered so even on rainy days you can get your practice in. Balls are preloaded into baskets which is super convenient and saves you time. Staff is super friendly and very helpful, it was my first time there and they made me feel very welcome. The best part is the hours, they are open until 9pm Monday through Saturday, and until 8pm on Sunday. So far this range is open the latest of all ranges in the east bay Berkeley/Oakland area. Awesome place, don't miss it!

A restaurant and bar with golfing facilities! Nothing fancy but a solid place to practice your swings. There is also a small shop that carries golfing items and I had my clubs regripped there. The 9-hole course is fun for kids.

Two deck driving range is convenient. Balls are all ready to go when you pay. Price is very reasonable. Parking lot is relatively small. Little cats running around the range are quite cute.

Endures for decades, all times throughout the week. Two decks of driving range. Full bar. Teacher on site , as is a golf simulator. Equipment for purchase or rental. Pub food available for dinner.

It’s best not to come here. Prices keep going up, quality keeps going down. They have a sign stating that paying in cash gets you an immediate 4% discount however if you pay with a credit card you pay $4 on top??? The math clearly doesn’t add up and honestly just feels like a shady business practice. If you want to charge a fee just state that there’s a fee. If you want to charge more for things just raise the price. Don’t put up signs saying you can get a discount and then charge people more when nothing of the sort is stated. I’ve overlooked things at this place for almost a decade but this was honestly the last straw.

This incident was in the last April. I wish I could give this place negative stars. I can't comprehend why Cliff, the manager, reacted so harshly yesterday, especially when I suggested a reasonable price adjustment for a golf bag priced at $190, offering $180 based on its Amazon listing at $179. His sudden outburst, suggesting I should never shop there again and instead buy from Amazon, was both uncalled for and disappointing. Today, I simply wanted to use my $75 coupon, but he adamantly refused and escalated the situation unnecessarily. Despite being a loyal customer who has consistently supported them, Cliff lost his temper with me and even called the police. While I didn't do anything wrong, he eventually refunded the coupon then he kicked me out the place with yelling, shouting, threatening and taking picture of my car and license(he told me that he will report to the police when they arrive). I got insulted in front of the other customers and golf instructor. It was so humiliating. The overall environment of this establishment is dismal compared to other golf courses, with no renovations. Despite my efforts to support local businesses, such as purchasing a driver, hybrid #4 and #5, putter, changing grip, hats, and gloves, and frequenting( at least12 times every month) the driving range or playing nine holes and lessons, I was treated with disrespect. I regret spending thousands of dollars there for only several months. Lake Chabot Golf Course offers great value with a membership of $35/month, which includes a daily large bucket (100 balls) for free, along with discounts on 9-hole and 18-hole rounds. Similarly, Monarch Bay Golf Club membership costs $28/month and includes a daily large bucket free of charge, along with discounted services. Montclair Golf Course is relatively more expensive compared to other golf courses.

I first want to say that I go here all the time and love this place. This rating is in regards to a recent incident. I had plans of playing 18 later in the day and wanted to buy a kids club so my son (4) could join me and hit a few balls. I went here to buy a child's golf club for my son because I called ahead of time and confirmed they had some for sale. It was a new guy behind the counter (older) and he didn't believe I wanted a kids club... He asked to see my child's ID (my son's 4)... He asked what I would use it for... He asked if I was going to use it to beat a child... That guy felt compelled to question me for wanting to buy a child's club... I felt compelled to come here and warn you, if you go here to buy a kids club, bring their birth certificate and insurance card.
