friendly staff, food comes out quickly, pretty flavorful soup for the pho, and portions are worth the price. great place to come have lunch with family, friends, or by yourself!

Very good food. Walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. We were given time to look over the menu and then magically once we had decided the lady came over to take our order. I will return with my daughters so they can try and delight in this delicious food that left me full but not that greasy I can't move full.

The name makes me laugh but the food was excellent with our group of 4! From the pho to the meat to the rice to the hot tea. All good Was about 60$ for 4 people as well.

Pickup two bowls of Bùn Bò Hêú togo this morning (July 18, 2021). It's opens! Finally! I love the way they make the bún Bò Hêú here. It's the best in the Bay Area.

This restaurant has the best bun boe hue, Vietnamese spicy lemon grass noodle soap in Oakland area. The other place is also good is in San Jose. Must try, I always ordered xl bowl for $16.99

He shared he went to the bun cha restaurant in Vietnam that Obama went to, and his is way better. Haha cute owner. Also interesting point, this Pho King has been here for 30 years and the other Pho King by the lake has no connection to his restaurant. They simply took his restaurant name.

Pho King now has a much larger hole in the wall! They've moved to the old Merritt bakery. These guys are one of the best Pho places in the Bay Area. Very few have the all three of the holy trinity, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Rieu (with perfectly poached quail egg) and the Bo Tai Chanh, the raw beef appetizer. The raw beef is served with fried onion, peanut and lime and the lime slices are thin enough to eat the rind. This place hasnt missed a beat with the move. Perhsps even better.

Pho was well salted and I like salty food. In a perfect world the broth flavor could have been better. Meat and noodles were very good. Price point fair.

I love their pork chops. I didn't care for the crispy fried shrimp. Actually I didn't taste it because it smelled funny.

Pho is a 8.3/10. Good portions. Good broth, not too much salt. Great place to eat after a long day at work. Not too busy at night. Good servers. Best prices compared to the rest of the Bay Area.

Not much veggie options for vegetarian but it's a busy restaurant.

Saw the old pho king spot is open for business again! Owner is changed, and interior remodeled... But nothing really matters. All I care about is taste! Let's try it out to taste the difference! Ordered a special pho(dac biet) and a bbh: Pho dac biet: it's very good! The broth is packed with favor, a little bit on the oily side but acceptable. All cuts off meat are in decent size. A big improvement from the previous. it's up for contention for the best pho in e14! Bbh: you get everything you want plus pork knuckle bone. The broth is not as sweet and spicy as the old. Good if you like a more natural favor in your bbh. Down side: the bowls are packed with noodle and meat and all those goodies... but I need more soup! Can't really cook through the bean sprout and basil after I put it in. Feeling like the big body missing its spirit .. may be it's because I ordered small? But I need more soup! (There goes a star) Overall: I'll come back again and ask for more soup!

I'm Mexican and not too snobby about Pho. I find it all amazing and am never disappointed by eating a bowl of Pho. I enjoyed the beef pho, but it wasn't the best ever. Still yummy.

Pretty mid. Someone hyped this place up to me. Broth wasn’t hittin’ as it should.

This is quite a small place but it can get really busy. The food here is just OK. I come here as a last resort when my favorite Pho Ao Sen is closed. The pho and vermicelli (bun) here are just average. The dish that I usually order is the pork chop rice plate which is quite a good value. I usually opt for an additional fried egg for an extra charge. Of all the restaurants this place has the better soup that comes with your dish. It actually has vegetables. The service is average and often there is language barrier. Sanitary condition of the restaurant is acceptable. However, parking in the back is not enough and street parking is quite difficult at times.

We ended up guzzling water just to quench our thirst after eating it 7/7/2023 During my visit to Pho King in Oakland, I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, Spring Rolls, and Egg Rolls. The Bun Bo Hue consisted of Hot & Spicy Soup with Beef, Pork Blood, Pork Cake, and Vermicelli. Overall, the food tasted okay. The Bun Bo Hue had a decent flavor, although it didn't particularly stand out. The soup had a good level of spiciness, and the inclusion of beef, pork blood, and pork cake added some variety to the dish. However, I found the taste to be average, without any exceptional elements. Regarding the Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls, they were satisfactory, but they didn't leave a lasting impression. The flavors were acceptable, but I felt that they could have been more flavorful and distinctive. In summary, the food at Pho King was decent and tasted okay. While nothing was particularly outstanding, it wasn't disappointing either. It would be great if they could focus on enhancing the flavors to make the dishes more memorable.

I’ve ordered “bun cha Hà Nội” togo. The pork cakes are so dry & burnt. The bbq pork slices were dried & salty as well. I haven’t been here for awhile and I think my to go experience wasn’t meet my expectations & the price has gone up too.

Not sure what happened or maybe went on a bad day. Ordered grilled beef over rice and XL pho tai chin togo. 5 thin grilled beef slices over rice and 5 raw thin slices of beef for XL pho. My dine in experience here 3 months ago was good but this is extremely discouraging me to come back for my Vietnamese food fix :/

paid $8 for the tiniest Vietnamese coffee, which is filled halfway with ice. Last time they charged me $5 so they’re just changing the prices on a whim. The Vietnamese coffee next door at tasty bowl is a better price and size.

While waiting to be served I watched a female server in blue vest up front blow her nose while wearing gloves, swirl the tissue in each nostral and rinse and dry her gloves! Then, she goes to the window, take a family their soup in the same gloves. She then returned to stand up front and continued wiping at her nose, then wiping the gloves! Never changing them gloves. I told the man who greets customers to please tell her to change her gloves and wash her hands. He became angry with me and did not help, so we left. I've eaten here for years but never again. They will cause illness operating that way. I plan to tell the health department what I witnessed.
