a beautiful place and must see if you are in Mazunte! I recommend you to take water cause its a bit of a walk and nothing there except beautiful nature! Also the Playa Cometa is supernice! You can walk from there to Playa Mermejita withba lot of amazing view points!

Ok ok, i had to wait two weeks to write this review. To stay objective. Beautiful trail that starts from Mazunte beach. IMPORTANT: either wear long pants and long sleeves or have something to be waking the horseflies away. (They’re too many, too much to handle) honestly I didn’t know what to do. They bite in contact and they’re so painful and itchy. Pray 10 pesos to get in the trail. The guns it’s short to get the highest point where the wind is blowing and horse flyers can’t attack you. There you can enjoy of the breeze, the sunsets, and just the contrast that offers the observation of the coast shore from this point. Brace yourselves to get thru the houseflies on the way back.
Incredible views and sunset! They charged 10 pesos for the entrance. Also they check bags for the drones and alcohol. Not allowed!

Is the perfect place to see the sunset. You can go there paying $10, and you need to walk to be get there.
Breathtaking view of the ocean and sunset. Entry into the hike was 20 pesos. We were able to spot 2 whales while admiring the beautiful view. The photos don’t do it justice!

The highlight of our trip to Mazunte! I was blown away with the views both during the day and at sunset. Sharing an experience as simple as the sun setting amongst a group of people on a cliff side was amazing.....worth the trek!
Went here on a little day trip from Zicatela and it was breathtaking. You truly feel like you are in a dream walking this hike during sunset; only about a fifteen twenty minute walk and it’s super worth it. If you have the chance definitely make it out here for a sunset walk.
So I don't know if it's just in season but I went twice and didn't got checked and no one asked me for a donation. (Just saying as everyone mentioned this) There's several routes to go there. I went the stairs up from the beach and I was literally having the whole area for myself. Definitely check out the beach to the right of Punta cometa and there's several more paths to walk and explore from there on. Both times I went I didn't get a real sunset as it started to get cloudy therefore no sunset pictures.
It’s a beautiful place for a sunset, you have to do a 20 min hiking but the view is priceless even though it was little cloudy. I recommend be there at 5 in the afternoon and you can find a good place to sit and wait for the sunset, if you can carry a portable chair, I’ll be better. In the middle of the trail you’ll find a point for inspection of belongings and payment area, the payment is a voluntary amount. Alcoholic beverage are not allowed
Such a beautiful location to view a sunrise or sunset. It’s a nice little hike to the point where you have unobstructed views to the west and east. It’s a popular spot everyday, so be prepared for many other people.
What a great hike! Be sure to bring extra water. The hill to get out of here is a tough one. But the experience is well worth it! There's hardly anyone out here on the private beach, so you can enjoy it with your Adventure Partner. You'll get a panoramic view from east to west. I imagine if you were out there for sunrise & stay all day, you could see sunset by just looking the opposite direction! Enjoy your hike!

Don’t get me wrong, this is a gorgeous place to watch the sunset. The views are absolutely breathtaking and unbeatable. But the amount of people that show up is pretty crazy. Like you can’t even take a decent photo because it’s really crowded and there’s people everywhere. Other than that, it’s alright
