Been following Chef Langan for over 25 years, and he never fails to deliver the goods! Hailing from the Seattle area, he has proprieted several restaurants, most recently the highly regarded Flavour Bistro in Duvall, Washington. Three six picks up where Flavour left off, presenting a seasonal menu incorporating local, farm-to-table ingredients. Folks, you've got a real gem here! We had the alligator spring rolls, seafood empanadas, wild mushroom bisque, and a clever "deconstructed grilled Caesar salad" to start. For mains we each had the filet mignon in an unreal demi-glace, with potato and seasonal veg. For desert we had the "Zongo," essentially bananas Foster wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried (are you KIDDING me?), then dusted with cinnamon sugar and served à la mode with a caramel drizzle. All the things! Food built upon high quality ingredients and prepared with such skill will leave you feeling immensely satisfied and fully nourished, not merely "fed." The three six meal is an experience, and ours left us buzzing. Why can't every meal be like these? Foodies and noobs alike will be blown away. The wine list is excellent, showcasing several selections from the Pacific Northwest as well as more traditional regions. Creative cocktails. Service en pointe to match the fare. Shout out to Lisa for taking such good care of us! Central Florida (the whole damned world for that matter), hie thee to three six bistro post haste! (The place is quite compact, so reservations are a must.) Sometimes we all need that splurge that reminds us that life and its troubles can be punctuated with pure joy. You'll be glad you did!!

So fortunate that my wife surprised me with a flight to Florida to dine at Chef Langan’s newest restaurant. It’s located in an unassuming part of Ocala. I started with the mushroom bisque (5 Stars) then enjoyed the alligator spring rolls, so delicious, crispy with the best garnish of Asian slaw ever. The special that night was a Marsala chicken dish served with oyster mushrooms. It was sweet and flavorful. I was completely full, but had to try the Zongo. I’ve never seen this before, but it was cheesecake and banana in a crispy tortilla served with Ice Cream. My only complaint is that I happened to visit during a hurricane. Looking forward to some sightseeing and hopefully another visit before I return home to Washington. I want to mention that the service was fantastic and welcoming even during what was probably a stressful night.

We love unique dining experiences. Three Six Bistro was worth the hour plus drive. First time visit and not the last time. We were greeted promptly by a super friendly hostess, wish I grabbed her name. Ryan and Hannah took excellent care of us. They shared a little bit of history of how the restaurant opened and how Chef Sean was from Seattle and wanted to bring some West Coast flavors to the East Coast. Ryan and Hannah were so personable and attentive, and made recommendations based on our palate and interests. We tried the kangaroo tartare, camel meatballs, filet mignon, and the sea bass. It makes you smile the first bite you take! Full of flavors and seasoned beautifully. Topped it off with the Zongo dessert, which was absolutely incredible. Everything was absolutely incredible. Chef Sean came over to greet us. He loves to be creative with his dishes and encouraged us to come up with something we would like to try on our follow up visit and he will make it from scratch. That’s pretty amazing that he will do this for any of his guests. This restaurant is off the beaten path. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is beautiful and has a very classy vibe and ambience to it. Definitely more than ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars in our book.

Ordering omakase gives chef Sean full control of your dish. Chef prepares a perfectly balanced dish packed with flavors. You won’t be disappointed. Chef will come to the table and ask a few questions, in order to get an idea what style of dish to create you. The staff is fully knowledgeable with the entire menu. As well as incredibly friendly. They deliver top tier service. The dinning area is small and very well decorated. Giving you that upscale experience.

An absolute gem in southeast Ocala! This small restaurant, helmed by Chef Langan from Seattle, is a true foodies delight. Chef Langan takes extra special care in crafting his menu and delivering outstanding flavor in every dish. From the bowl of seasoned popcorn with fresh shaved Parmesan, to the Smoked Salmon and Cheese Plate, to the de-constructed grilled Caesar Salad, to the Lobster Pappardelle, to the Filet Mignon my dining companion had - every bite was an explosion of flavor. Unfortunately, we were so full from all these wonderful flavors that we just could not find room for dessert! This is a dining experience not to be missed!

Was one of the best meals I have ever had. The food, service, and overall experience were all kin to that of a michelin starred restaurant. Truly a gem and one of a kind experience. Shawn, our waiter, showed his experience working in fine dining and was the perfect person to walk us through the meal. Will be back. Fried focaccia is also genius and was the perfect addition to the soup and clams.

First time dining there, and we will return. Food was excellent. We had tuna and a pork chop which was cooked perfectly, served hot, and the presentation was beautiful. The server was engaging, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was beautiful and warm. The chef greeted us and was very accommodating to our needs.

My husband surprised me with dinner here and it turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the warm welcome to the perfectly set tables, every detail felt intentional. We chose The Chef’s Taste — each course was a creative, chef-driven masterpiece (who knew asparagus and honey could make your toes curl?!). Service was genuine, knowledgeable, and outstanding. Having been in the service industry since the early ’90s, I don’t say that lightly! They just celebrated their 1-year anniversary, and I feel lucky to have found them now before the secret’s out. Reservations are a must — hands down one of Ocala’s hidden gems!

Three Six Bistro in Ocala is a true gem and very highly recommended . Chef Sean Lagan and his team deliver a refined, high-end dining experience that impressed from start to finish. We started with the Tempura Mushrooms and the Smoked Scallops Mornay—perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Lobster Bisque was rich and velvety, and the Lamb Chops with Honey Polenta (what an amazing combination) were cooked to perfection. For dessert, the Chocolate Fondue—infused with amaretto and sherry—was also very delightful.

Every bite from @threesixbistro is phenomenal! Sean’s restaurant is hands-down our most favorite establishment in town for a date night…for any night! I was so disappointed to see my favorite beet salad taken off the menu, but Chef came in and saved the day and made one just for me! We LOVE Three Six Bistro!

Came from Naples, FLto visit my parents here in Ocala. I randomly chose this for dinner. I honestly dont know where to start. This may be the best restaraunt, and best food I have ever eaten. From the outside you may think youre at the wrong place...youre not. Inside is beautiful with just a handful of tables. Our service was some of the best (Shawn B) - lead server - was just absolutely on point. Friendly as can be. I would recommend reservations, as it was relatively busy on a Saturday at 530pm. The food...oh my God...the food is incredible. The Chef is brilliant. Everything pairs so freaking well. The attention to detail, the plating, the cooking. FANTASTIC! I had the crab fondue, lobster bisque, and the smokey sea scallops. For dessert, the chef has his own creation (forgot name of it and neglected to take a picture of the dessert menu, but it starts w a "Z"). This is an absolute must place to eat if you're ever in the Ocala area. A+++++ Worth every penny. A side note: if you have children this is probably not a great place for finnicky children to eat. However, they will make your child something not on menu. See pics I attached of the different foods we had at our table.

We had a delightful (& delectable) experience at Three Six Bistro. We started off with the lobster bisque, then thoroughly enjoyed the pork empanadas and seafood dip, then the Beef Wellington for our entree. For dessert, we had Chef Sean Langans’ special which was quite exquisite as well. This is definitely a hidden gem and hands down one of the best restaurants in the area if you like top-quality, creative dishes. Excellent service from our server ‘OG Sean’. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and can’t wait to go back.

If you're looking for a dining experience that will leave you speechless, this restaurant is the place to go. Everything about it is absolutely fantastic—I honestly can't name a single thing that deserves less than 5 stars. The food? Phenomenal. Each dish we had was a masterpiece. The Kangaroo tartar was a unique and delightful start, and the beef wellington was so tender you could cut it with just a fork. And then there’s the dessert. Zongo is an absolute must-try—a deep-fried banana and cheesecake creation drizzled with caramel and served with ice cream. Trust me, it’s a dessert you’ll remember long after your meal. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, showcasing the chef’s artistry. But it wasn’t just the food—the service was equally outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and clearly dedicated to making every guest feel special. Reservations are a must, as seating is currently limited to around 20 people. However, the restaurant has plans to expand soon, adding space to seat 45 more. The menu is dynamic, offering a few core staples but constantly evolving, so what you see online is more of a preview of the types of dishes you might enjoy. This restaurant is a true gem and worth every bit of the hype. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation, prepare for an unforgettable culinary experience!

An absolute must-try in Ocala! We had not heard of this place before and did not know what to expect when we pulled in, but Three Six Bistro completely blew us away! The ambiance, the food and the service were exceptional. Shawn our waiter was very knowledgeable and made our dinner even more pleasant with his great recommendations. We will be back!

Such a wonderful fine dining experience for our little town of Ocala. Shawn (our server- sp?) knew the food perfectly and his recommendations were outstanding. It’s clear after our conversation with Chef Langan that he is one of the best chefs in florida. And “pro tip” (OK… only been there once) - try the Zongo for dessert…. Truly spectacular.

Had the pleasure of dining here last night. We found this place on a whim when our reservation at a different restaurant was canceled, and I'm so thankful it was! The service was great and the food was outstanding! We ordered the crab fondue, scallops, beef wellington, and the zongo for dessert which was recommended by our server. Everything we had was amazing, but the beef wellington was seriously one of the best things I've ever had! The chef came to our table before we left, and I thought that was such a special touch. We will definitely be back. 10 stars!!!

Looking for an intimate place to celebrate our 26th anniversary and we certainly found that and so much more at Three Six Bistro. The food was off the charts! Chef has really brought an exquisite adventure that will awaken taste buds that you didn't even know you had. Give these guys a try, you won't regret it. Reservations are a must, space is limited. Came here recently at the recommendation of my friend (it was his third time!). Three six bistro is located in a quiet secluded spot in Ocala. While the interiors were simple and clean, the food was layered and delicious! They serve truffle popcorns as a free appetizer (it’s very addictive and will certainly crave it on movie nights at home). Ordered the bone marrow as the first course, it was well cooked and had a meaty flavor without over powering. The deconstructed Caesar salad followed which was made to perfection (the deep fried bread dipped in the Cesar dressing was divine). I ordered the lobster pappardelle, pasta was perfectly cooked and the creamy lobster sauce and meaty pieces of lobster was the perfect match, one suggestion would be maybe incorporating spiny lobster as an homage to local florida produce. Dessert was a decadent cheesecake with the perfect amount of sweetness to end the night. Service was impeccable and wine choices were great! Looking forward to my next dinner here!

I would like to preface this with, I AM A HUGE FOODIE and have traveled across the world in search of amazing tastebud delights. First and foremost the life changing scallops, melt in your mouth with the softest buttery texture. I could eat them every day. My son had the tenderloin which was cooked to perfection with a mouth watering sauce. We also loved the parm popcorn and brussel sprouts with blackened garlic, extremely addicting. And for the finally we both enjoyed the homemade NY Cheesecake. Only mistake was I should have ordered another cake to take home:)

I’ve traveled all over the world frequenting restaurants like 11 Madison and NOMA so it was a complete shock to find this little place tucked away in Ocala, Florida. We’ve had horse farms in the area for 25+ years and have been desperate for a place to bring out of town clients! This will be the place now! Great food, great service! Chef was very personable. I do hope locals show their support. We’ve needed more of this forever!

A great dining experience from the moment we walked in the door... Chef Sean made Foie Gras app as a special request for my father... my favorite Crab Fondue for an app... I had delicious prawns in a delectable red sauce, black cod for my dad, and perfectly seared tuna for my hubby. The best restaurant in Ocala! #ocalafoodies

We showed up right at opening and the staff were super helpful and friendly staff! Food was excellent. Teriyaki Duck was great as well as the Stroganoff. Rotating weekly menu is available along with a great drink list with a couple of unique beers. Recommend for a date night or if you want a really great meal. $130 for appetizers, 2 drinks, 2 meals and desert!

Chef Shawn has done it again. This time in Ocala, Fl.Anticipation-Surprise-Complete Satisfaction. Dining at Three Six Bistro is a five-sense experience.Every one of my senses were activated. From the presentation inducing my nose to politely sniff; guiding my fork from one to another component of my dish; parts of my tongue rushing to guess and compete for main and compliment flavors; different textures swirling and blending with one an other. All ending with the cling of my glass in celebration and delight. Five stars Chef Shawn and team. Wishing you much success in this young culinarian part of the US

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience worth savoring. The dish I ordered was simply divine. The burger, crowned with a generous heap of perfectly melted cheddar cheese, was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The bun, fresh and slightly toasted, complemented the burger beautifully, adding a delightful crunch to each bite. The accompanying fries were nothing short of spectacular. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they were seasoned to perfection, making each bite incredibly satisfying. The fresh garnish of lettuce, tomato, and onions added a refreshing touch, balancing the richness of the burger. The ambiance of the restaurant was equally impressive. The table setting was elegant, and the overall atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. The attention to detail in both the presentation and service was evident, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The ketchup was also home made and it really tasted fresh. Best meal I've had in florida definitely recommend.

Just had a wonderful dinner here! The food made us feel like we were dining in a much bigger city — creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. At the same time, the warm, hospitable service from Shawn reminded us of the charm and quaintness of a small town. It struck the perfect balance between sophisticated and welcoming. This restaurant is the best! The duck bruschetta is one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had! Many great entrees as well. Make sure you try the zongo (ask for no bananas)! The Chef is awesome but this will make him lose his mind 😂

A quaint, intimate spot. It’s not a place meant for filling to max capacity. The staff, decor, and overall feel is warm. The food is great. I had coconut clams which were delicious and I tend to dislike coconut seafood and overly sweet dishes. The clams had none of that. I also had Lobster pappardelle . My partner had a season appetizer featuring camel meatballs & his entree was a Beef Wellington. He took one small issue with the Wellington but it’s a personal preference issue. They also offer to make dishes à la minute or à la carte with advanced notice. This was my first time there but most patrons seemed to be regulars which gave me confidence that my experience there was their default and one I could expect upon return. 10/10 recommend

Three Six Bistro is Ocala, Florida’s best-kept secret, but not for long, I’m sure! The food is exceptional-fresh and beautifully plated. The chef and owner pays attention to every detail, from handcrafted cocktails to desserts, making the entire experience feel personal, and still somehow finds time to stop by your table on a Friday night to make sure everything is exactly how he intended. The service is just as welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, while allowing you to enjoy your evening (thank you, Sabrina!). My husband and I came here for our 21st wedding anniversary and had never eaten here before. Our server, Ryan, was attentive, honest, and provided phenomenal service. He made us feel very comfortable for our first time here and we will be requesting him when we return. The food was absolutely outstanding. From the starters, to the entree, to the dessert, I cannot say one thing I disliked. I highly recommend the Zongo for dessert! It is to die for. The chef came out to talk to us as well, who was so kind and down to Earth. Absolutely wonderful place, I cannot stress enough what a great experience we had. I cannot wait to return!

Incredible dining experience like no other in Ocala. Sean, the owner and chef, serves up unique and thoughtful dishes of pure joy. This restaurant has all the things that could make it pretentious, but it’s not. It’s an incredible yet relaxed dining experienced with opportunity for adventure (kangaroo, python, gator) if you’re up for it. The menu is incredible, but it’s just a suggestion. Sean’s up for a challenge if you are. Don’t miss this gem.

Wow, wow, wow! Ocala has more chain restaurants than fine dining restaurants but this goes beyond fine dining and is truly a dining experience! Ryan is an outstanding server: personable, polite, attentive but not intrusive. Chef Sean spent time chatting with us, the icing on the cake so to speak. The food is creative, exquisitely presented, and so very tasty! The wine list features only quality wines. The dessert?? Oooh oooh - so good! What a treat to have this as an Ocala option!

I don't think there is a better dining experience in this part of Central Florida. It is a cozy, slightly modern and eclectic setting with friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. There is nothing stuffy or pretentious about the place. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. Go on Thursday for the tasting menu. At $55 a person, the 4 course tasting is a bargain. The chef and owner is on site and may come over to chat. He is affable and will give recommendations for other places in the greater Central Florida region. This was our 2nd time and we brought two other couples who loved it and are already talking about who else they will bring.

Expensive, but special! My wife LOVED everything about it! That alone makes it a great restaurant, trust me! My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and every dish and side looked extraordinary. We chatted with the chef/owner and he was fun and engaging. Tip: If you don't see what you want on the menu, ask if it can be made for you. The chef is willing!

All i got to say, this should be a michelin Restaurant!!! Sean Langan, the chef has one of the best foods i have EVER TRY!! YOU CAN TELL THE PASSION AND THE LOVE TOWARDS THE FOOD! AMAZING SERVICE BY THE BEST TEAM, LISA AND SABRINA!!! Will definitely be back again, and hope they new location has bigger space because they was packed and i see why, the service and food!! Great food, and amazing service by our server Ryan. When you first arrive you think you might be in the wrong place, the restaurant is located next to a neighborhood where you feel you might find a gas station or corner store. But the atmosphere inside is great the staff are on top of everything and you can tell the chef deeply cares about giving the guests something they have never tried before.
