Raul, my server made it a memorable night - he was very personable & made great recommendations as everything was absolutely delicious - especially enjoyed the bbq pigtails. The street view seating was perfect for people watching!
All of the dishes were absolutely delicious! The risotto was out favorite and a great recommendation by Omar. Much love
The food was delicious, you can see the staff is trained by a great chef. We had the prawn curry, very strong flavour similar to a heavy Indian curry and parmesan fish. The starter was oxtail croquettes. There’s a nice touch of popcorn while you wait for your food. The waitress thought seemed very distracted by what was going on outside of the restaurant, we were left for long periods without anyone checking the tables, empty glasses and took a long time to take orders.
The chef @ Cocktail Kitchen is a culinary genius. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with warm lighting and tasteful decor. Our server Omar was wonderful and friendly. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the meal and service. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. It came to us highly recommended, and it did not disappoint! I teased the bartenders that they had to be interviewed for their looks first to get a job there. They are all handsome and super friendly with warm smiles and a twinkle in their eyes. Can they make delicious cocktails! LARRY, TIMMY and Shak attack, the best bartenders in barbados. Raul provided great service with our meal, ensuring that we were happy with orders. We sat outside and had a great view, if you're looking for a quiet intimate dinner inside, this is not the place for you, however if you're happy to sit outside you will be happy and content. Thanks CK for the best drink on the island!
Absolutely spectacular Caribbean inspired cuisine. Right across the street from the ocean and romantic views. Award winning chef Damian Leach has knocked it out of the park and the flavors are out of this world. We also had the pleasure to be served by an outstanding gentleman by the name of Ron. His reccomendations and attention to detail were exemplary. Definitely on my favorites list and my go to when I'm in Barbados.
Great food, great service by Chad. Very happy with this dinner tonight, and a view
Went here for brunch and the atmosphere was great...very calming. The art pieces on the walls are nice to look at and the music choices are really good. The "pulled pork and bakes" is on the sweeter side but delicious nonetheless. The Chicken N' Waffle "Sandwich" was a combination of sweet and savoury (great balance) the chicken well seasoned and the waffles fluffy 😋 😄 I liked the Mijito. And great thanks to the individual in charge of our table...our wants were well met. P.s. I was able to ask for a takeaway for the rest of the meal.
Dope spot to get some great cocktails. We pretty much tried all the featured cocktails as a group and everything was delicious. They craft the cocktails fresh in front of you and the service was really good with a great friendly staff. We stopped here before having dinner at Primos across the street which was very good as well.
I've tried CK before and was truly disappointed in the food. However, tonight, the food was absolutely phenomenal 👌 literally chef's kiss . Everything was seasoned so well, and every bite filled with flavor. Whoever in that kitchen put everything in there, even the kitchen sink cause best believe I will be back . Highest compliments to the chef .
Just great. We didn't book but we're just lucky enough to get a table in the roof area when passing by this evening. We had 3 shareables between two of us as we weren't hungry enough for a big meal. We had plenty of food, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was prompt and friendly and we loved our visit.
We’ve visited here on three occasions. Once for drinks and twice to eat dinner. They have a very active social media so follow them on Instagram for menu updates and specials. Try any dishes with breadfruit! Flavourful and creative cocktail menu and a great vegan eatery as well. Large selection of regional dishes will not disappoint. Make a reservation on OpenTable to ensure you have a seat, especially during the holidays.
Fantastic food experience. I had a spicy cocktail ( can't remember the name), but it was absolutely amazing! You must try it!
Great food, great ambience! We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, just fantastic, fresh ingredients and very ample portion , also lobster and shrimp linguini was just as good. Locals and tourists alike hang out in this funky gathering place where it’s fun to people watch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. They make great drinks also , I’m sure we’ll go back to try more from the menu. Also has a rooftop terrace where you can dine outside. Bathrooms were spotless. Highly recommend!
Creative. Modern. Delicious. Cocktail Kitchen is one of my favourite places not only in The Gap but all Barbados! I’ve been here several times; special occasions, date night, drinks with friends/family and the food is consistently creative, stylishly plated and DELICIOUS. They really go the extra mile in using local ingredients, modernizing traditional dishes yet still preserving the original tastes and adding their own twist - great example is the pudding and souse. Everything from the Small Bites menu is AMAZING. I personally like having two small bites and a few cocktails (I especially like the Sauza Dragon and the Mango Chow cocktails) but the main menu is great too. The atmosphere seems to always be lively and buzzing, and the service is fine. It’s more on the pricier side but it’s well worth it especially if you consider yourself a foodie. Best to book a table in advance. Will keep on coming back!
Roof top seating area was brilliant, food is delicious and creative. I ordered the Barracuda with pesto sauce it was fabulous. Great service, lovely staff. Happy hour cocktails fun too!
This was our 4th restaurant for dinner on our vacation and it was THE BEST. We met Omar at the door, we didn’t have a reservation but he took amazing care of us and we sat upstairs on the balcony. The service he provided was amazing from start to finish. The rest of the staff was equally kind and helpful. If you have only 1 night to eat out, CK is the place you want to go! Trust me. Tell Omar, I sent you. 💕
Great food and service and a pretty good view from upstairs. I had the Vegan (Beyond) sausage penne, very tasty indeed. I occasionally try a vegan option (I know I'm a thrill seeker 🙂) and this was possibly the best I've tasted.
Excellent dinner here last night. Great service and ambiance. We sat inside as it was just starting to drizzle. Food was seriously good! Definitely will be going back! Great cocktails as well!
CK did not disappoint! The food was excellent, delicious mouth-watering goodness. I especially enjoyed the breadfruit appetizer and the seafood curry. The braised oxtail starter and the pulled pork with bajan bakes were also very yummy. The cocktails 🍸were next level. I'll definitely be back.
This was a standout meal with standout service. It's rare to have a meal come together with perfectly delicious dishes and service to match. Our server Raul asked right away what we'd like for our two young kids and got their meals going right away. We enjoyed some really great cocktails, fish tacos and a lamb risotto to start followed by the seafood curry, shrimp gnocchi and the burger. Everything was hot, incredibly flavourful and so enjoyable. I can't recommend cocktail kitchen enough and I hope you get the pleasure of being served by Raul during your visit.
Butter infused rum fashioned. Never have I ever had a cocktail that outweighed the food. But this drink broke my mind. The rum is infused in-house with Dooley's sipping rum and a brown sugar syrup (again done in-house). Just amazing. Service is top notch. Food was delicious and had vegetarian options. 10/10. If you are on the island come here for the drinks at the very least.
This place did not disappoint. The food, service and the atmosphere was EXCELLENT. They had small plates and regular size entrees and everything was delicious. Ty was our host and he was so nice and friendly. All the employees were very friendly and welcoming. YOU must visit this place.
Been living in NYC for 10 years, born and raised in Italy — so let’s just say I’ve done my fair share of “research” when it comes to food. This place? Seasoned to perfection. In just 2 nights I managed to try every appetizer on the menu (for science, of course), and they nail that perfect balance between traditional and modern flavors. -thekidfromsicily And the cocktails? Fuhgeddaboudit. The CK Sour should honestly come with a warning label — it’ll blow your mind and reset your cocktail standards forever.
Sat indoors and had a very nice dinner. Food and drinks were great and the service was excellent. A great experience overall
Cocktail Kitchen is always a consistent and delicious experience. The service is top notch, the cocktails are well crafted and that roast breadfruit with lobster is a star.
Had a great experience last night. Excellent food with options for everyone, attentive staff with great recommendations and a overall a great atmosphere.
For Omar and team:) a fabulous 5 stars from Aunty and Niecey. The Chicken Panko was absolutely delicious and we loved the coconut mojito! Amazing. My first Meal on the Island really set the bar high thankyou
Had the flying fish tacos for starters and the charred catch of the day (barracuda) with a mango chow cocktail. Everything was delicious. This is comfort food. Our server was buzzing because the place was so busy but managed to deliver excellent service AND be funny, no small feat. We also met the chef. If I could give more than 5 stars for his food I would! THANK YOU for your hard work, creativity, and flavours!!!!!
We had a post engagement dinner here and it was spectacular! The staff were so friendly, the rooftop was beautiful and they brought up dessertnon the house to help us celebrate! Was a perfect ending to a perfect day
Love this place! It is a must at least once during our stay in Barbados. We were a group of 15 and kudos to the server for keeping straight and with a smile! Had the pork Chop (to die for, if you like pork of course) tender at every bite. Highly recommend a reservation if you are a group (at least 1 week prior to your date).
We enjoyed a great night! Our server was so friendly and helpful with our meal selections. The appetizers were ok but our mains were delicious! Apps - lamb risotto, oxtail croquette and fried calamari Mains - ribeye, pork chop (mashed potatoes were so creamy!) and vegan sausage penne. All were super yummy and we were all very happy with our choices. FYI I'm not vegan but really enjoyed the vegan sausage.
We went there twice and we will probably return before the end of our trip. We tried the vegan menu items. Loved the pasta and the burger & fries were delicious too. They make good cocktails. The place gets busy quickly so might need a reservation especially for a large group.
Food and cocktails were delicious, I had the fried calamari and flying fish tacos with a mango chow cocktail. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Great customer service, I will definitely dine there again.
Great meals and a nice environment. We dined roof top and it was a great experience. Meals took a little while to get there but once it arrived at our table it was delicious. The Mango Chow cocktail was also nice.
The experience was great our waiter Rohan did a wonderful job, the way he served us and also the other customers was consistent,he captured the customers attention and engaged them in conversations, a job well done. And the food was so so so delicious. I would recommend this place the atmosphere in house was just right.
Loved this Restaurant. Nice cool vibe and friendly staff. The food was really good too. Really enjoyed my starter which was the lobster and ackee and saltfish. However they could have put a bit more loster in as there was barely any in there. The fish brooth was very spicy but very nice. Cant wait to visit again and try some more food on the menu 😋🥂🇧🇧
Great food and Service. The bad experience came while seated on the rooftop in the evening during a huge downpour of rain. There are no overhang plastic drapes to protect us and no way to get to the lower level without being totally drenched. We found shelter in an office. The servers couldn't even get to us. Beware, showers of blessings come very randomly in Barbados. The rooftop should have been perfect for dinner. Luckily for us the staff was able to accommodate us on the lower level after the showers. Thank you Cocktail Kitchen!
I had a solo dining experience at Cocktail Kitchen and absolutely loved the food! I will definitely be going back before my trip is over. The food was fresh and one of my favourite meals on the island. Service was great too. It was extremely busy while I was there so things took a bit longer but it was worth the wait!
Booked dinner earlier the same day. It was nice and friendly customer service.
We were excited to check out this place based on the reviews and reputation. We booked a table on the roof for sunset which wasn’t difficult on a Sunday night. We thought the cocktails were outstanding — definitely best margaritas we had on the island (try the spicy cucumber one!) The food was decent. Appetizers were alright (thai fried balls and fish tacos were probably our favorite) but the standout dish was definitely the ginger and coconut fish curry. The sticky toffee pudding dessert is also worth saving space for. Only wish the chairs were more comfortable.
The cocktails were superb and service great. We had goat curry, fettuccine, prawns, calamari, fish tacos and Thai fish cakes. Most of it was great the Thai fish cakes were tasteless with very little fish. I would say it’s slightly over priced for what you get
We had fish tacos. They were crunchy spicy and came out hot. Delicious! The breadfruit and lobster dish was crunchy, creamy with soft lobster. Very good. The arugula, watermelon and feta was a perfect accompaniment. I would use more melon and less dressing on the salad. This is a place to come to! Good and timely service. The AC was too cold and they turned it down promptly.
My experience at CK was one of disappointment...which was a shame as I was so looking forward to it...with the exception of the food which was outstanding, flavorful and well presented...my starter of the poke bowl a vegan dish was very tasty and filling, in itself I would consider it a meal rather than a small bite...which was listed under small bites, my main dish of the Parmesan Catch in the pesto cream sauce with mash & veg. was superb, and delicious...also lovely cocktails to go with the meal. However the same cannot be said for the service...as I was met with very aloof staffing, not at all attentive to service...though my food came at a timely manner My observation is the staff need more basic training in how, where and when to behave appropriately in the presence of customers, attention to details...simple things like refilling of water, how is your meal?..etc. the lack of service was taken away on what could have been a 5 star dining experience for some clients including myself as some previous reviewers has suggested. The air-conditioned dining room could be a comfortable alternative from a humid outdoor patio or a closed in roof top deck...diners preference...but the included bar can take away from the ambience when there's loud bar folks. In summary a good option for fantastic food in St Lawrence gap...but improvement is needed for service.
Location is great for sitting outside and people watching, but if it rains you're in trouble i had 2 pineapple juices and chicken pasta...service was great but the menu is limited and no garlic bread on the pasta...would i go again....nope
Yesterday we had dinner at this restaurant that was recommended by the hotel since we had visited other restaurants. Upon arrival we were assigned to the rooftop and were served by a waiter named Omar who was a bit rude and I felt he was a bit biased and somewhat discriminatory. He gave us such a grotesque welcome, rushing us and forcing us to order everything at once when we hadn't even looked at the menu. The table they gave us was not in good condition. I asked him to please change it and he said he couldn't, to which I told him that I would leave because I wouldn't be able to eat like that. He then proceeded to fix it. His attitude was so pedantic that all I wanted to do was leave but I didn't because it was my sister's birthday. He didn't throw water on the table without asking permission. His treatment was in very bad taste. Then we decided to ignore him. Every time I asked something he answered me in a bad way and pretended he didn't understand or hear something. The food was delicious... Then he told us that the kitchen closed at 9 pm when no one told us that. I made the reservation, no one warned me and we made the reservation at 8:30. If it weren't for the food, which was delicious, I would have given them one star. At the end of the night, when "Omar," that's the waiter's name, was ready and happy to leave, he approached us and we spoke to him very kindly, but his treatment of us was horrible. Only because him I gave 2 starts
The food was good (risotto ++) but the waiter was not professional at all. Didn't even look at us once I think... Actually not a lot of people on the roof top so he was not in a rush but very rude. He gave us the machine card and went to another table. Didn't even come back to give the ticket. Not even a good evening ... Really bad way to treat people.
The food tastes fine but is WAY overpriced for the portions you get, plus the restaurant is woefully understaffed. There was only one server for our entire floor who seemed flustered and constantly running around, though he was personable. We did appreciate that they had a few vegan options available but ultimately we will not be returning.
Let me first say that my waiter was an amazing human who did his upmost best to make my bday dinner good. The food though? ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. My husband got the breadfruit and seared fish and I got the chicken cutlet. His meal was basic at best, nothing special but tbh it didn’t taste bad at all. The fish was unseasoned and fresh but not inedible. My chicken was super dry inside and the potato mash smelled off. (The hostess told me that’s how it’s supposed to taste)🤨. The waiter did try. As I would have just paid and left, so I reordered and boy was that breadfruit starter oily. Felt like I would have vomit and couldn’t do it anymore. Paid and left. The cocktails were good though. But the food, not worth!!!
They literally turned me down for food when they had only 1 customer inside and told me to come back later. When I came back, they said they only take reservations for food and not for drinks, but was not offered reservations earlier. I'd never step foot back in this place with how I was treated. The hostess even pushed me out of the door and shut it in my face. The only place that was rude to me while here.
