Been in Ojai since 1997. My wife and I come here every Friday and always look forward to it. The sushi chefs James and Sam are the best. Make us feel like family. And of course the food is top notch. I went to Sakura in Ojai on a Sunday night. The spicy edamame were very delicious and seasoned with fresh garlic. The sushi is well made and the ingredients are extremely fresh. They have a large variety of interesting rolls to choose from. They have a sushi bar for people also. I will definitely be back again!

Tasty! Came here on a Saturday for lunch. Everything was delicious. The sear and flavor of the white tiger roll was *chefs kiss!* The sauce for the raw oysters complemented the dish well. Attentive servers and awesome food.

Whenever I’m in smaller towns, I don’t exactly have high hopes for the sushi available, but this place blew me away. Everything was so incredibly fresh and the flavors were amazing. We got the baked green mussels, cucumber salad, Alaska roll, and the baby lobster roll. There was a sign saying that they were understaffed and to please have a little bit more flexibility, but overall the food came out at a pretty decent time and everyone was super friendly.

I received friendly service here. The staff is very nice. The sushi was really good and the rolls were amazing. I had the Hawiian roll and the wild thing roll and an order of tuna sushi.

I don’t live in this neighbourhood, but I come here often. We always eat here when we come here. The meals are Beautiful and Tastes fantastic!!… The team is welcoming and cooperative. Sashimi Combo, Rolls,…etc. I love this place ~^^* I highly recommend it 👍💕

I have been coming here for over 7 years and then the last several months the quality service has diminished. But today August 4th, the service has improved dramatically and I'm so happy. I have always loved the quality of the meals and offerings but as I had previously stated I could not tolerate the service. It has dramatically improved and I am so happy. 6/15/24 "5:00 somewhere" great snack with sake!

Some of the absolute best sushi 🍣 I've ever had! 😋 Sorry no pics, no time...it smelled so good I just couldn't wait. Every piece simply melts in your mouth with such rich flavors and the spice from the Wasabi scrumptious! Tried the pot stickers and they did not disappoint, soft sweet delicate taste in every bite. TRY IT OUT!! Remember to bring a little patience , this place gets pretty busy. But it's truly worth the wait.

Any restaurant can have an off night. The sushi was fresh, delicious & beautifully presented. The service started out strong but got REALLY weak once they got a little busy. I waited 20 min when we were done to ask for a check & a box but our server had vanished so I had to get up & hunt someone down so we could pay & leave. It's Saturday night, staff up! But overall a good experience. Here's to 2nd chances!

The roll menu has a lot of California roll based rolls, which is good news if you love krab, but a bit meh if you're like me and you're tired of eating California rolls over and over again every sushi stop you go to. This stuff came out way too fast, like it was already made and in the refrigerator. If you know sushi, you know this isn’t right. Super lame. Update: I just violently threw it all up. Hopefully, I don’t have knarly food poisoning!
