Cosa dicono i clienti di Singing Sun Coffee
Singing Sun Coffee is a popular spot known for its great coffee, chill vibes, and friendly staff, especially Olivia. The Strawberry Dazzler is a favorite. Some find the matcha bitter and the lack of unsweetened milk alternatives disappointing. Expect lines on weekends.

This place is great. Stopped in for morning coffee and pastries on a weekend trip. The people working here are kind, the coffee is great and they have gluten free options. It's comfortable, clean and spacious with outdoor seating options. They also have cool merch like beach towels.
Dropped by late on a Monday, grateful somewhere OTHER than Starbucks was open for coffee. SO GLAD I DID. I got a mocha breve-style, and I think it was the best mocha I've ever had. Not too sweet and smooth as silk, just cool enough to drink straight from the barista's hand. Came back today with my partner BC I *had* to introduce him to this deliciousness! This time I got a breve-style Zinger (chocolate, cayenne, and nutmeg!), and it's just as good as the mocha yesterday. The flavours are subtle, not slap-you-in-the-face, and it tastes like a hug. My partner got a Golden, and says it's "really good coffee, not too sweet... That's a hard thing to get right." If you're looking for sugar in a cup, this isn't your place, but if you actually enjoy *coffee*, make this place a must-try!
Delicious Lavender Majesty — lavender vanilla latte— suggested by employee. Cute coffee shop. they said they have vegan options like a breakfast burrito, and some pastries. Did a bit of work while enjoying my coffee.
I love this coffee shop! It is so cute staff is friendly, and they have actual healthy options. This past weekend I had the chamomile cloud, an herbal teal latte with no syrups or “bad” Ingredients and was yummy.
Customer service is awesome, i just wish there was some type of way of being able to tell which drink is on the counter. Over the past couple of months i have had my drink taken from me since it was mistaken as someone else's when called. Not the biggest deal but wish the drink was verified before handed out.
This place is wonderful! I ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk and it was delicious! Very chocolatey, but not too rich. I also enjoyed their cardamom loaf. It was so moist and dense, the loaf would almost crackle when you bit into it. It was one of the best pastries I've had in a long time. I enjoyed it so much, it was gone before I could take a photo of it for the 'grams! ;) 10/10, the Singing Sun is awesome!
I’ve had an almond milk cappuccino here two mornings in a row and they have been among the best anywhere. Dark, rich, chocolaty and creamy.
I've always been so curious about the long but swift lines at their door - - now I know why! Tasteful treats & a wide variety of succulent coffees to chose from, Yummy!
Great coffee! I appreciate the consistency in quality, flavor, and temp. I love their parfaits as well! Pretty busy on weekend mornings so can be challenging to get a seat to dine in.
Good coffee and great service. The chocolate chip cookies are really good too. I really like how welcome I feel here and the space itself is beautiful and holds up to the name. I would prefer a more fruity bean but this is up to personal taste. The space is designed smartly as well: there is an area that is good for socializing and a space for working, and there is some gap separating them. On the other hand, it can quickly fill up during peak hours.
Love singing suns coffee and the atmosphere! Great spot to do work, grab a pastry to eat, or take to go! I always grab an Americano or cortado, and they never disappoint!
This is a great little coffee shop in Ventura. I’ve been here a couple times but I would say my wife frequency hear more often. I went in yesterday for an afternoon coffee and the staff was super friendly. The coffee was great and we were able to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful Ventura day. This shop has so many different options for coffee that you can get and they are all good. They also have a rad little display of pastries that you can grab too.
A lovely little coffee shop serving up clean single origin and their own custom blends. One of the few doing pour overs. Gluten free options. Appreciated the to the gram precision, even with their espresso. The space is bright open airy. Lots of working space both indoors and out. Solid WiFi. Clean elegant design. Quiet enough to be able to focus yet alive enough to be part of a community. Vegan burrito and gluten free pastry choices. Happy staff.
Such a fun little shop in the heart of Ventura. Good atmosphere and a great spot to catch up with a friend. Stop in for some good coffee on your way to enjoy some amazing thrift stores near by. Also have some really good merch.
Amazing, little zone.\ Good coffee and pastries, not much food. The espresso machine is a La marzoco.\nNot much coffee shops in Ventura.Lucky this one is here
Loved the vibe of this coffee shop. It has so much space and a total vintage diner vibe because of the stools and the counter. The employees were really friendly and welcoming. The pastry options were amazing, everything looked so good! I got their Olive Oil Muffin which was perfection. I ordered their Golden drink which was really delicious and a total work of art. They have a nice enclosed outdoor area, a refrigerator filled with yummy to-go snacks and lots of drinksis well as some gorgeous merchandise. I am for sure going to come back to try one of their vegan breakfast burritos.
Great chill place! Awesome coffee! We randomly hit this place on a road trip for a togo coffee , but we loved it so much, stayed around and enjoyed a few too many cups 😁 People are nice , place is clean , coffee if good, their pastries were also good! They also do sell beans too! Do expect a line probably on peak days but it moves rather fast! Cleanness: clean People: very nice Seating: a few outdoor some inside Noise: average noise! Parking: street, there is a lot in the back too Price: fair
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ love the matcha and the ambiance, I love coming here when I’m in town ❤️
Wonderful coffee shop with great vibes and delicious coffee. The food options are limited but everything is delicious. There is almost always a line on weekends but it moves fast and is 100% worth the wait. They also have super cute merch!
Visit after visit…simply PERFECTION!! Olivia is the sweetest. Today, 6.12.2025 my husband and I were out for a walk and we forgot our reusable mugs and I was in a panic because I will not use plastic or take away cups, but Olivia showed me they had pottery mugs and glass! She made my hubby an awesome Masala Chai with oat milk and my a Cold Brew with oat milk. All so good. Great seating. Excellent service. Thanks SINGING SUN…as always.
Great coffee. The shop has simple built-in furniture and a simple color palette with an nice aesthetic of wood and greenery. Strong WiFi and quite a few wall plugs that also have USB ports! (see photos). Would love to see some cushions or softer materials in the space. I’m happy I came here and would come again :) their tee shirts are attractive as well
Singing Sun is a specialty coffee shop in the downtown of beautiful seaside Ventura, CA. Serving Sight glass Coffee, my wife enjoyed a warm medium roasted deep coffee ( a mildly acidic brew, less better - specialty coffee for sure!) . I loved that it was served in a blue semi-translucent mug. Despite a long line, the servers were fast and attentive and the wait was far shorter than expected for the rush hour we found ourselves in. This little shop downtown, is a picturesque location to meet with a friend or work over coffee and some breakfast pastries.
Love this cafe. Healthy quick bites and the best brewed coffee !
Great little place. It was the closest coffee shop to where we are staying so I wanted to check it out. Got a cappuccino and it was great! I also made a mess by spilling that cappuccino everywhere. The staff wouldn’t let me help clean up my own mess — even though I tried to offer to clean up my own mess— AND they gave me another cappuccino. Really grateful for that morning crew. Glad to have found this place before leaving to our next city.

I go to the one on Ventura Ave. Hands down the best coffee I have ever had! Absolutely wonderful coffee and baked goodies! I highly recommend this establishment!!!
Loved the Strawberry Dazzler as a hot latte, it was not too sweet and not to strong, delicious & perfect ☺️

The coffee is solid and they maintain a good pace for the level of quality. The parfait cups and snacks in the cooler are fine. The staff generally come across as snobby and with the exception of the person forced to speak to you at the register, they’re unfriendly at best. I’m here most weekends but if another shop opened in the area and had comparable quality with personalities that encourage regular patronage, you wouldn’t catch me here very often.
The vibe is great, but the coffee is roasted too hard. They offer a lot of different parfait/chia pudding options, which are good. The pastries are tasty.
The place is spacious but not many seats , good coffee but I came about noon and no bakery things left. Staff is friendly and service is fast Just a long walk under the sun for me Overall it’s a good cafe.

Good Fortune latte was delightful, loved the wooden plant decor! Very bright but chill vibe

The coffee is good, which is why I kept returning. The service is mixed. There is a young man who works there who is rude. I waited for 10 minutes while he took his time, chatted about his day and ignored my order. The nice woman behind the counter had to finally ask what I was waiting for. The 2nd time, I arrived 2 minutes early prior to opening. He told me to leave. I waited in my car until they opened and he then served 2 people before me who came after me. I own a retail business. I'd lose customers if we treated people the way he does. Good coffee, but somewhat unwelcoming environment by the young man. I'll take a break from this place for a while even though I live in the neighborhood. I'll check back in the future to see if the problem is corrected. Great spot. Good coffee.
While the atmosphere is great (pretty location, nice seating, fun music selection), the drink I had was fairly mediocre, despite being one of their most popular signature drinks. The espresso was not super strong, and the drink itself was not very flavorful. I would still come back and try something different, but this place felt a little bit like style over substance.
So, I have tried siniging sun a handful of times and every time I go, I never understand the hype. The coffee is very mid, the place and ambience is very cool. But there are better places in Ventura.
Been on the search for a really great authentic Matcha. I came to Singing Sun based off of a recommendation from a friend. I ordered a Strawberry Matcha and their Matcha Latte, and both of them had no sweetness, really bitter and tasted like grass. If you come here, try anything else.

I went in for a coffee but they “ran out of drip” so they offered to make me an Americano which cost a tiny bit more. I found this to be hilarious that the coffee shop ran out of coffee. First time visit. The hey have a beautiful fiddle leaf fig tree. Next door is a plant shop which is pretty rad.

I really wanted to love this place. I waited in a long line to order my coffee. In the end I didn’t buy anything. All of their alternative milks have sugar. I don’t understand why a coffee place would buy sweetened alternative milk—it changes the taste of the coffee! Not everyone sweetens their coffee. More people are preferring alternative milks, so PLEASE let us sweeten our own coffee however we want—or not —just like those customers that use regular milk.
The decor is nice and the inside is bright and welcoming, I just wish the staff was too. The pastries were good, but coffee was flavorless and watered down. I even bought whole beans to use at home (before I knew), and it wasn't any better. For coffee, I'd stick with Beacon or Prospect.

Makes your coffee macchiato style, with far too much milk so it takes away from the flavor and the espresso taste that you should expect in a Latte. Super disappointed with the customer service too. Oh and they refuse to give you refunds!
I was excited to try this new coffee shop but was very disappointed. Ordered an iced Strawberry Dazzler and received it hot. When I mentioned it to barista she was obviously upset and reluctantly remade it. She had a very poor attitude & made my family feel unwelcome.
Wanted to like this place. Quite simply put: horrible customer service. Person behind the counter was bothered that my brother and I ordered cold brew with oat milk. No greeting or words beyond taking the order. Terrible. Was made to pour my own oat milk not sure if that’s a thing here but it was odd as we asked for oat milk yet was left ZERO room for any other liquid. Would not come back or recommend. Kalorama coffee is down the street and they at least talk to you.
Coffee is completely flavorless. Weird because it smelled good when I walked in. All drinks taste like warm milk. Absolutely 0 coffee flavor at all. Extremely disappointed. I will never return. Are the employees even drink the coffee here? How are you just serving warm milk & calling that coffee? Insane and insanely disappointing to my palate.
We went on Wednesday June 10 twice, the first time was great, being our first time the man working was kind and explained the menu, it was great. We went again around 2:30 to get another drink, a blonde young woman was working and we told her exactly what we got the time before and she was BEYOND rude when we explained to her what we wanted. When we got our drinks they weren’t right, and when we told her they weren’t, we told her they had cream in them last time, she then proceeded to the slam the half and half carton on the counter and then walked away. It was very rude! Would not recommend going if she is working.
Visited Singing Sun on 06/07. We ordered an iced americano (light ice) and an iced latte. The iced americano was...pure water. An iced americano an objectively one of the easiest iced drinks to make but to say my drink was weak would be an understatement. The iced latte was just alright–weak but not nowhere as close to the americano.
Today was one of the worst and last experiences I will have at this location. Although the cashier was kind today (which rarely happens to my sister and me), the coffee is always mediocre. Anytime I get a latte it’s like I paid 7 dollars for a glass of milk. I kept coming back hoping it would get better and it did not. The main reason I would come here was because it was a short walk but I now know that I should prioritize quality over convenience. It also feels as though I am not welcome when I walk through the door which is odd because this location is on the avenue which is a majority Latino population. When I see the employees interacting with customers who are not people of color it looks like that is who they’re most comfortable with. I would not recommend coming here for the coffee or the experience especially if you are not white.
