Being raised in a small town, I grew up on Bush's Chicken. The thing is I didn't find a location in the city that I liked until this one. This place has great local deals, a club option to receive better pricing, and quick service at the drive thru. #TenderRollLife

The Pflugerville location has always been excellent at drive-through service, long before the pandemic. Servers are friendly, service is quick, food is good, and prices are reasonable. They have the best fried okra and sweet tea!

We've always been a big fan of Bush's until last night. Our service was awful. The server didn't listen, served pieces of chicken that were cold, dry and the skin had fallen off. We asked for crispy fries and got soggy limp fries. We miss seeing the old night manager...where did he go? Tables were filthy, lobby was dirty. Not the same place to go for delicious hot fried chicken!

If you want fast food chicken, this is a good choice. I love their fried okra and my husband loves their sweet tea. We stopped on a whim and ordered a family box and it had plenty of chicken and rolls with gravy for everyone. I'd stop just for the gravy.

The staff was polite and quick. The drive through was starting to back up. They got help outside, opened more lanes and handled the situation. The food came out quickly, as ordered and hot. Thank you for the great service. I have eaten here many time. This is the level of service I am accustomed too.

It's Bushs- drive through exchange cash for Tea and Tenders-the kid pleaser. They support the local community, staff is friendly and efficient and product is 90% of the time fresh and flavorful. What's not to love?

The food was delicious, as usual! We don’t eat here very often, but when we do, we enjoy every bite! Would highly recommend the chicken strips, mashed potatoes, liver, and the rolls are pretty good too! I don’t drink sweet tea anymore, but when I did, this was the place to go!!

I have lived in Round Rock for 13 years, this is my go-to fried chicken without question. There is better fried chicken out there, but for the huge amount of food you get for the low price, Bush's is the spot for me. I go here every chance I get and the quality is always just as good as the last time. Great chicken, great sauces, great sides, great establishment all around. Please make this your go-to as well.

This is the closest Bush's Chicken near us. It is always good. I actually stopped by for the fried fish, but it is only available on Friday during lent. Oh well. I settled for chicken strips and livers. I really should, but I love me some livers every year or so. We will have to go back on try the catfish on Friday.

I’ve actually never had Bush’s Chicken before. And with that said, I can’t believe I’ve been slacking on this. In any case, gave it a try and easily a new favorite. This location is consistent with it too. However, if I could take off half a star, I would. Kids meal included a cookie…wasn’t expecting just a small pack of Oreos— which I’m not really complaining about, cause Oreos are great. But, I think it loses a sense of character. It would be cool to see some of their own cookies.

My family and I decided to give the new Bush's Chicken location between Hutto and Pflugerville a try today. Having eaten at other locations in Texas I was expecting it to just be average, but it was better than expected. We got "carryout" instead of eating in or using the drive-thru. The service was friendly despite being busy with their drive-thru. The chicken was fresh and juicy. The rolls were light and fluffy. Our side of corn on the cob was hot and fresh. The side of cold slaw was the only disappointment. While fresh it was lacking in taste compared to their local competition. Overall though our meal was good and we eating there again. Oh! They currently have a catfish special on Fridays and a chicken gizzard special on Mondays.

On my visit to Austin for Thanksgiving, I saw Bush's as I was driving. I had never tried their fried chicken so I decided to try it. And I'm glad that I did! The chicken was fresh and crispy, not greasy! I can't wait to get back to Austin to eat their chicken again!

It had been some time since I used a drive thru with no speaker. I had servers come up to my vehicle and take my order. Very nice and prompt service, my order was right. Other than another driver blocked me in, just for being inpatient and not wanting to wait for her turn, my visit was very good and quick. Chicken was hot and crunchy, and dinner rolls soft. It was less than 15 minutes from arrival to leaving with my order.

I have always looked for some well flavored gizzards and Bush's was wonderful. They're seasoned and well cooked. They always give you enough to satisfy your hunger. Their bread is always soft and warm and comes withthe meal. I haven't been disappointed yet! Love their efficient and fast service. The fact that their close to where I live helped them stand out.

Stopped to pick up some tenders today. My daughter and I each got the 4 piece meal. Hot, crispy chicken. Hot crinkly fries and the roll is so yummy. And the meal includes a large drink. Not a small or medium like other places. Service was quick and friendly. Great experience.

I love Bush's Chicken, my experience with them has always been great when I was stationed at Fort Hood, TX. We were excited to hear Pflugerville getting one and one that is close by our home! This location is perfect and funny at the same time. They put it right in front of Golds Gym, so I wonder how temping this place is for folks coming out of the gym. LoL I have taken my kids here for lunch and dinner through their drive through. The staff here has always been respectful with smiles like they appreciate your business. It's definitely one of the best chicken places I like for some fried chicken!

A little bit of a wait because it appears to be a popular place. But good food. Ordered a family strip meal and they have lots of side options. Food was hot and delicious. Would order again if we are in the area again.

Went to Bush's Chicken and was impressed by the size of the chicken. It was not overly greasy like some of the other fried chicken places.The one knock was on the sides which lacked flavor. At least the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes that I ordered. They seemed to not have any seasoning on them. Still would recommend this place for the chicken.

I think we are so used to Popeyes and KFC that I'm not used to mild flavored chicken. But a little hot sauce made it tastier. Now those fried gizzards were yummy 😋 and hit the spot. So was the corn on the cob.

Really good chicken. Just lightly season or nothing at all. I get the chicken tenders, it goes great with their gravy. Sweet tea is really good. Be sure to order utensils if you plan on eating in your car, cause they forget all the time i ask for it.

Chicken was extra crispy and warm. Corn was a bit dry as per the kids, but they ate it. Biscuits were awesome and fresh, lastly French Fries were warm not as fresh and hot as I would have expected. Food rating a 4. Atmosphere was very clean inside, drive thru was very busy wish is why we decided to go inside. It was much better than other fast food places in the area. Very friendly staff. Rated it a 5+.

One of the rare places around here to get fried liver. It's really good and the Corn Nuggets are always fresh! My usual go to is Chick Fil A for sweet tea as it's the best..but I think Bush's is a tad bit better!

Bush's Chicken is one of the better chicken chains around. Their chicken is moist but not dripping grease like many. There tenders are also quite good. Usually you need to add salt to the chicken to get it good. The real problem with bush's is just that the company doesn't seem to be managing their outlets very well. And a bunch of them have gone out of business.

I had Bush's Chicken for the first time tonight and it was surprisingly good. I wasn't sure what to expect because KFC has become horrible. Bush's was fresh and delicious. The chicken, roll, mashed potatoes were very tasty. I would recommend.

Bushes is a good place to get chicken especially strips. I have been to this location a half a dozen times in the last year year and a half. The food always comes out hot and fresh. The staff is usually efficient and even sometimes friendly. I feel this is a good family environment and a good value.

Excellent service at this location. Sometimes the chicken has been out a little too long (not as warm as I prefer and it loses a bit of the crisp over time) but not as bad as some places. The chicken is always fairly crispy and I haven't had any bad experiences. It has always been adequately staffed and wait times have never been frustrating. The tables are regularly cleaned and the management seems to do well in making that a priority. On a personal note, Busch's in general needs to get a spicy tender but for this review that isn't relevant. Overall, this location is excellent. As mentioned, the only complaint is that sometimes the food seems to have been under lamps a little too long but never egregiously so.

I really like Bushes Chicken in Hutto Tx. . The fried chicken tenders are delicious & fresh The fries are good too. I like to dine in because staff is always friendly & the restaurant clean. Bushes Chicken is a great place to stop for delicious chicken.

Freshly cooked food, crispy tenders and chicken, the rolls are hot and buttery! Quick in and out drive through experience. Happy hour is 2-5pm Monday through Friday, good deals especially 32 oz tea for .32! I recommend you try it out!

We got there just before lunch hour. Our order was almost instantaneously fulfilled as there were chicken strips already and set to go. They were piping hot. We did get shorter strips but were well compensated by getting an extra piece for each substandard lengths - this puts KFC to shame, where they'd try to pass off a measly 2" strip as a single strip towards the ordered count. Their servings of gravy was delicious but insufficient for a 6-pc strip order - wish they've got free gravy refills. Standard meal sizes came with large sized drinks and a generous serving of fries. BTW, you can substitute the fries for any of the regular sides, eg coleslaw, etc. Man, were we full after our meal. Probably, we'll settle for a 4-pc strip meal next time - gotta watch our weights. They also have a Pflugerville Special - 3 chicken strips, dinner roll, fries, and a drink for $8.99.

They're ordering process needs to be improved dramatically. You have a drive-through car hops taking orders one at a time, and delivering orders one at a time, wait time to order and food delivery 30 plus mins.

The tenders are small compared to competitors. Also on the over salted side as well. The ordering process is never smooth either bc of the way the drive thru works. Every time cars behind you end up ordering before you. Then when you get your order you have to wait for the cars in front to leave before you can. Needs improvement. Staff if very friendly and do their best with what they're given.

I'm NOT a fan of the 3 lane drive through. the servers always end up going to someone that's showed up AFTER ME and they don't have the decency to tell them I was before them... the quality of the food has gone down as well, the chicken is super greasy now 😬 I'm getting to the point I think I'll stop going

Was not hot but not cold and lacked any salt or flavor, was 2nd visit like this. Hopefully still getting opening kinks out, was better than 1st visit. Got a large mixed (bonein/tender) family meal. Corn nuggets are amazing!! Went on a Tuesday and got a FREE tea with meal so that was good.

Chicken is okay, tenders are kind of bland. Side's are bag open and warm. Roll's are tasty but need butter. Associate taking order seemed to be in a hurry to get me gone and not really knowledgeable about the product.

Bland if you don’t add the Serendipity salt on your chicken. Portions of chicken were generous though.

Great food but leaving items off your order is unacceptable. Too much trouble to drive back 6 miles or call manager. Glad they hire high school students but they need to be more conscious of how they pack orders.

Gizzards were outstanding!! Crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. Can't say the same for the tenders. Kept wondering where the chicken was! And not at all moist. Like the personal touch for the drive thru though. Will try again. Maybe they just had an off day.

I don’t know what it is about this location. It’s either great, or awful. One thing though is that it’s consistently inconsistent. This most recent time, which happens with their horrible drive-thru process, two cars that arrived after I did were helped before me. Like minutes before me. This was after waiting for about 10 minutes. Finally a girl came up so I just told her I’m good and left. This is the second time this has happened. I think I’ve been two or three times where everything is quick and delicious. Just a horrible drive-thru system.

First time eating bushes since moving to pflugerville 2 months ago. I always remember Round rocks location always hit the spot. This chicken just didnt seem very fresh, French fries weren't salted. Mac & cheese was good tho.

You know, I understand trying to get each guest's order out in a timely manner. But in this said rush a side we ordered wasn't put in. Something my child very much wanted. The chicken quality is subpar and that's being generous.

Was pleased. #3 gizzard were over seasoned. Gravy was watery. Requested hot sauce, ketchup and honey and did not get any of them. Not very pleased as I have been with the other location

Don't believe the hype. Over priced and lack of flavor. I don't know who was cooking tonight but the mac and cheese was super disappointing, literally pasta and watery cheese. The tenders were okay but I'm pretty unsatisfied with the quality of the overall food. Will definitely choose from all the other chicken places around Hutto.

Went recently and the line was incredibly slow. My chicken and fries were actually so bad. I decided to try their peach tea and that was a huge mistake. So sweet and cloying I couldn't drink more than two sips.

Be wary of using your credit/debit card here. I was using the drive thru. The employee took down my order and asked for payment. I handed the lady my card and she went back into the kitchen with it. 5-10min go by and still she hadn’t brought my card back. I finally got out of my car and walked to the door to ask if I could have my card back (you can never be too careful when protecting your information). Another lady noticed me and I asked her, “is there a reason why I can’t have my card back”? She then told me, we don’t hand you your card back until we bring you your food. I responded and told her, “if I already paid and my payment went through then I want my card back.” She went to go grab it where my card was facing up with name and card numbers fully exposed out on the counter. I want to make it clear, by no means are the allowed to hold your card if you already paid. Protect yourselves from fraud and keep an eye on people.

Not a happy customer tonight. Just got a 15 piece chicken meal and they gave me 10 wings 2 thighs and 3 breast. I would have been willing to wait at least ask your customers if the want to substitute. So disappointed right now, this was my go-to chicken place.

We just wanted a 4 piece wings, but they don't have a 4 piece anything, we had to order 3 wings and a add on piece for my husband and I, and it totalled up to $38.69, no sides no drinks. There chicken is over prices, we went to Golden Chick instead. We spent $22 for wicked wings.

Go when its busy and a long line like 5:30-6:30 when its hot, fresh, tenders perfect! Tonight at 7 pm there was no line. Purchased tenders and cold, chewy, hugely disappointing! Servers are great! Please tip them. I don’t know if going back. Consistency is key!! What happened?

While the chicken is typically good I've had several bad experiences including the last 3 times that we've picked up chicken the orders were wrong and we did not get requested serendipity packets. The last time, today, I even explained to the person taking the order what had happened the previous two times only to get home and have the wrong order with no spices. I'm not sure it is a server issue given that one time previously when we asked for 6 spice packets to go with a family meal we were told that the manger was angered by the request and we'd have to talk to him if we wanted more. The store needs better management to quality check outgoing orders and someone more focused on customer satisfaction.

Order was wrong, tea is old, no extras offered (ketchup nor spice packs). Truly disappointed. Ordered and was charged for breast and thigh. Got a tiny leg and thigh.

My chicken was super salty and my corn nuggets were dried out. The okra was extremely good pretty much the only thing i could eat.

I am greatly disappointed in Bush’s Chicken Fried Fish Friday special. I paid $12 for one piece of fish, coleslaw, and a side of green beans. For that price, I honestly expected at least two pieces of fish. One piece just doesn’t justify the cost. It simply wasn’t worth the money I spent. I’m disappointed and honestly a little saddened because Bush’s has always been one of my favorite chicken spots. But this experience has me questioning whether I’ll be going back anytime soon — not just for the fish (which I definitely won’t be ordering again), but even for the chicken. And to make matters worse, it wasn’t even a substantial or “healthy-feeling” piece of fish. Overall, this one missed the mark for me. ⭐️ 4/10 — Not worth the price

First timer at the pflugerville location. ATTN MANAGMENT: Please ensure that your staff is knowledgeable on how to assist vehicles that order via drive through. As a customer I should not have to wait and watch two other vehicles who pull up after me be assisted before I am as I did today. It would also be in your best interest to train your employees the importance of asking each and every customer that comes through drive through if they are a member of your car club. It's why we have a sticker on our car,and if your employees are oblivious to this then what's the point of the incentive?

Asked for chicken Livers got all Gizzards even though receipt said LIVERS. Came back to exchange and then made me pay for a drink since it did not come with a 12 piece. Instead of letting me take the drink for the inconvenience. Note: Tipped the girl $2 for being in the heat you would think she would be a little more considerate. Management is very questionable! Won’t come back!

Gizzards was cold I gave them back & the second time they brought them out they were still cold after waiting over 30 min when the lady told me it would be a 6 min wait . The young girl that took my order was so rude I will never go back to this bush’s ever !

The young girl didn't have her pad on her. Took her more than 3 minutes, so I decided to switch lanes. I guess she did not like this. Gave me thumb size piece of chicken on each tender roll. Didn't realize until I got all the way home 20 minutes later. Sorry I left a tip now.

Love Busch's chicken - the wings, sweet tea and roll combo is my favorite! I go at least three times a week 😬 UPDATE: 4 months ago I gave Busch's a stellar review and 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but today I give them zero stars ... Something happened between now and then 😞🤢. I've had to return my food multiple times or call to complain about the horrible chicken. I am VERY disappointed.

Absolutely the worst service ever stayed in my car for the drive-through lane for about 15 minutes. Nobody attend in my car. I spoke to an employee about how the process was in order to place my order. She told me that somebody would come out to take my order and two employees after that winter all the cars around me and no one attended me while staying there for 15mins. Will not be coming back to this location. Poor customer service for my first time going.

Completely got my order wrong. We ordered 12 piece tenders with fries and got corn instead. We ordered sweet tea and somehow got unsweetened tea. Tenders were room temp. We called the location to inform them about the fries but no one answers

I don't know what's going on with this location. I have eaten here three times and each time my food was stale or undercooked. The fries are terrible. I kept thinking it was just a fluke but after 3x it's no coincidence. I eat Bush's all over the place and have never had it happen anywhere else. I really wanted it to work out for this location.

Stopped in for a gallon of sweet tea, I've stopped before for food - never making that mistake again - but the tea tasted like it was sweetened with topsoil. I've never been a fan of Bush's chicken in general, but this one is the absolute worst.

Our food was so greasy and rubbery. The crust was not crusty at all, nothing but soggy... fries were wet and mushy. Very disappointed in making the decision to eat here. We have Bush's before at other locations and have enjoyed their food. But not here at this location.

They young black man who was taking our order was great. The white young Lady manager was not nice to us. Refused our coupon and said take it somewhere else. Never will I come back to this bushes chicken never. We went to Popeye's they gave us a coupon and we enjoyed the meal!!!

Truly the worst experience ever! At first I was excited to come eat here, but the customer service is terrible! I don’t know if the employee had a bad day or something but they were not serving it! Wouldn’t eat here again.

Order a 2 PC chicken w/ Fry's. And a aBig Red float. My chicken was cold, my Fry's weren't even cooked and they were cold. My Big Red float had about a Tbsp of ice cream. And I want my refund. But they don't even answer their phone

Service was quick. Server was polite. Food was old. Albeit was 830pm but still. It had been cooked earlier and there was very little batter left on the pieces of chicken. There were hardly any fries in my takeout box and i was missing my requested gravy. Not what i expected.

The last several times I’ve come to this location has been a horrible experience and I feel like after being disappointed once again on New Year’s Eve will be my last time going here. I asked for a two pc breast and thigh and instead I got a very burnt small thigh and a leg with very little amount of fries that were very burnt and old. I don’t see how this location is still open? This is the closet fried chicken place to me but I will definitely now travel further to get some decent chicken. Just sad!

First and last time coming here. Food is garbage. Do not waste your money

I ordered my food and asked if it could be fresh. She tells me we cannot do that. Who in the hell wants hard dry liver and gizzards I don't. I asked to taste them since she said they just came up. And they were discussing. I told her they do not taste like they just came up,but more like they have been sitting there all day. Left and went to another bushes and got them fresh. They didn't even believe me when I told them. What happened at the first bushes I was at before coming to them.

I was super excited about trying bushes chicken, however, the chicken was too crispy and the crazy thing about it. The inside was very pink. The drinks were not good seemed like you were tasting dirt. Our order was incorrect, and my husband ended up getting sick from eating food. Thought we would be shot, however, when we were done eating our food, we saw somebody literally eating food from the chicken buffet line so it just tells me that this place is not very sanitary and probably not come back and we do not recommend it.

Randy that works at this location is very rude and makes rude comments I ordered my food and ask a simple questions as this is my first time eating here. I would recommend going somewhere else this staff does not take the job seriously and the customer service is horrible.

Randy was very unprofessional. My wife and I were racially discriminated against. We were even served raw undercooked chicken. It was pink. When I politely showed it to Randy. Randy stated that it was the pink marinade. Pink marinade is not put in tender per the google search on bush chicken chicken prep instructions. Randy laughed. His only solution was to say it was the marinade. Instead of offering a new completely cooked batch to satisfy the customers concerns. This was my first and last experience with Bush's chicken.

Probably the last time i come here, to this location, the chicken livers were overcooked and absolutely disgusting, could eat the rest, I'm sure they're not suppose to look like that in the picture, the gizzards and fried okra were fine.

I just order two meals from there today for lunch and was served a tea with dead gnats all on the bottom of the cup (inside and out). Never again will I eat here and glad I saw this before I gave it to my kid. Just sick
