Not sure why the past bad reviews. My food was excellent, my server made great recommendations. No hurried pace to get rid of me. In fact, the food came out at relaxed Saturday intervals.The menu and prices are posted before you sit down so there was no surprise. Well worth the visit.

Arrivati alle 19,00 all'improvviso e senza prenotazione, ci hanno trovato un tavolo da due praticamente in riva al mare con vista su Portofino. Gentili e cordiali i camerieri ci hanno dato buoni consigli sui piatti. Prezzi: siamo a Portofino letteralmente a due passi dal mare, se avessi voluto spendere 10€ sarei andato da Mc Donald. Sono tornato l'anno seguente e confermo tutto quello che ho scritto prima. Ottimo e consigliato.

Stopped here as were hungry and thirsty. Really quick service from the owner to be seated. Meals came out quickly and were actually pretty tasty for a tourist hotspot. Took a while for the bill to come after we asked for it twice but were in no hurry. The shock of the bill did make us double take though! 12 euro for a double espresso is a bit on the nose. 5 euro cover charge and no bread. 15% service charge is feeling a bit like the awfulness of American hidden fees and charges. A lunch consisting of a salad, a pasta, bottle of water, a beer, 2 x tiramisu and an espresso was $126 euro. Nice but be aware of the cost!!!! Oh, and 3 cruise ships spewing boat load after boat load of tourists into town blocks your view a bit.

3 stelle frutto della media tra voto del locale, piatti, location e prezzo. Il deor esterno si presenta bello, in una bella zona centrale ma dentro il locale é molto confusionario e non ordinato. Il menú é vario ed i prezzi sono giusti con un'omologazione con tutti. Unica pecca é lo spaghetto con le vongole con un gusto acido frutto di un pomodoro usato non adatto ed un sentore forte di aglio. Il prezzo un po' eccessivo ma il servizio impeccabile. A.

Ci siamo fermati a pranzare in questo ristorante, non conoscendo i locali è sempre difficile scegliere dove andare, comunque abbiamo optato per questo locale. Posizione ottima, situato sulla passeggiata del porticciolo con una meravigliosa vista su Portofino. Considerando il periodo molto affilato di agosto e la località rinomata, ci siamo trovati benino. Personale accogliente e gentile, locale pulito e curato. Cucina buona ma con porzioni poco abbondanti, invece per quanto riguarda i prezzi, rispetto alla qualità sono un po' alti.

If you want a spot next to the ferry it’s an okay spot. They do charge a per person sit fee and a 15% service fee and it shows up on the bill. The food is average but honestly it could have been better. We ordered just a caprese (16 euro) after reading the other reviews and there was only dried Basil on it which is just sad. It takes no extra effort to use fresh Basil, disappointed in that. The bread basket was tossed bread stick pieces and kind of odd. We didn’t get olive oil until middle of the meal. Half our group got their food and had to wait for the rest. It was just average and quite expensive. The pasta carbonara was good according to my niece and my other niece ordered the sea bass which was very small portion for a main course and the price. It’s good if you have a large group but beware of the fees.

Ho dato 2 stelle perché l’accoglienza è stata pessima: sono entrata e ho chiesto se c’era posto per due e il signore mi ha guardata e non mi ha risposto continuando a fare ciò che stava facendo. Dopodiché ho richiesto se potessimo sederci e la sua risposta é stata “ non lo so”. Allora ci siamo seduti in un tavolo e abbiamo aspettato 25 minuti per ordinare, proprio non ci calcolava nessuno. Sicuramente Può capitare, ma in generale sembrava proprio che non volessero nemmeno parlarci insieme, veramente una brutta impressione e anche disagio. Ho sentito proprio l’aria del turismo ma di quello negativo, della serie “ i soliti turisti che vogliono vedere Portofino”. Comunque la pasta alle vongole buona ma assolutamente nulla di eccezionale, anzi c’era quasi troppo olio. La pasta in salsa Portofino buona ma anche questa niente di che: visto i prezzi molto molto molto alti mi aspettavo un altro tipo di qualità e specialmente un altro tipo di servizio! La signora non ci ha nemmeno salutati. Sicuramente se dovessi tornarci piuttosto vado al bar di fronte a farmi un toast.

Che dire, posizione bella, in centro a Portofino, niente da togliere per la vista sul porto e sulla piazza principale. Arrivati al locale i camerieri mangiavano mentre facevano sedere i commensali. Come primo ho ordinato degli spaghetti alle vongole, il sapore era solo aglio con acqua di cottura annessa; per secondo ho ordinato un brazino ai ferri che mi è stato servito per metà come si vede in foto (foto allegata) con delle verdure di contorno (modica cifra di 12€). Locale non curato e la pulizia si faceva desiderare (anche il menù era sporco e le sedie appiccicavano). Per concludere non parliamo del conto con l'extra del 15% sul servizio che manco ti cambiano la tovaglia tra un cliente e l'altro. P.S. sono finito a mangiare una pizza

Durante il pasto abbiamo trovato un capello nel piatto. Abbiamo segnalato il problema al cameriere in modo educato, senza fare polemiche, comprendendo che sono cose che possono capitare. Tuttavia, alla fine ci è stato presentato un conto con 10 euro di pane (mai richiesto) e 22 euro di servizio. Quando abbiamo espresso il nostro disappunto, sottolineando che non ci sembrava corretto pagare un servizio dopo un simile inconveniente, nessuno si è mostrato disponibile ad ascoltarci o a proporre una soluzione. Ci è stato semplicemente detto che dovevamo pagare. Una gestione molto poco professionale della situazione. Non torneremo.

Che delusione totale. Siamo arrivati alle 14h3000 e abbiamo chiesto un tavolo per 4 — ci è stato detto “no” senza alcuna spiegazione. Pensando che stessero per chiudere, siamo andati via. Un’ora dopo, vedevamo che stavano ancora accogliendo nuovi clienti. Quando ho chiesto di nuovo, ci hanno dato un tavolo con grande riluttanza, come se ci stessero facendo un favore. It was 35°C, we were tired and thirsty, so we ordered two beers and a pasta for our child. Instead of letting us relax, the staff insisted — very rudely — that we order everything immediately. We explained we were ordering pasta already, but they kept pressuring us. Another server approached with the same attitude, while the “owner” stood nearby watching, clearly enjoying our discomfort. E il peggio? Hanno detto che non potevano servire la pasta al bambino se non ordinavamo per tutti. Ridicolo. Non si trattava di regole, ma di atteggiamento, pregiudizio e maleducazione. Ci siamo sentiti completamente indesiderati. As for the “owner” — a lady who looked like she had spent a lifetime at the plastic surgeon — she seemed more concerned with her appearance than with basic hospitality. Maybe less cosmetic surgery and more staff training would help. Per un locale a Portofino, questa è stata una vergogna. Risparmiate tempo e denaro: ci sono ristoranti vicini dove i clienti vengono rispettati.

We visited this restaurant on October 23, 2025, as a group of four adults and three children, and we were unpleasantly disappointed by the balance between price and service. The waiters didn’t smile and served us with disdain. They looked at us aggressively because not everyone ordered main courses — three of us only had dessert and coffee, as we weren’t very hungry yet. By the end of our meal, the owner of the restaurant came to our table while we were still sitting there, took the basket of bread — which we had already paid for — and started eating from it herself. The portions were small, the food was simple, and definitely not worth the high prices. The interior is decorated with photos of the owner alongside famous actors and singers. I wonder if the celebrities were treated as poorly as we were?

The food at this restaurant was very plain and not tasty at all. We were absolutely overcharged for everything. Just for seating 6 people they charged €30, plus they automatically added a $44 tip. Then they whispered to us that “nothing is included” and asked for even more for tips. Dinner for 6 people cost €350, and the food was nothing special — very basic and of poor quality. A simple bottle of sparkling water that costs €1 in the store was sold for €8. A single glass of apricot juice for a child was €8 as well. When I asked the waiter to explain these charges, he became irritated, turned his face away, and in the end took the money with shaking hands without even saying thank you. Terrible service and terrible restaurant. They take advantage of their location as one of the first places you see when stepping off the boat.

Really not one to complain, felt robbed, 30$ service charge, 25$ cover, and ridiculously overpriced food, cost 235 euros for two apple juices, 2 plates of kids pasta, canned octopus and chicken and french fries. We knew we were overpaying because of the location, but this is highway robbery, the food was absolutely terrible, shame on me, should have read the reviews first. Even our waiter knew he was robbing us as he tried to hide the receipt from us once we handed him our credit card and didn’t really look at the bill in detail.

This was one of the strangest restaurant experiences I’ve ever been to. The presentation of the food was horrid, it looked like something a four year old could make at home. The waiters never stop walking around the tables and they’re quite rude as well. Removing stuff from our table without asking if we’re done. To add to that you have to pay a “service fee” of 15% without them even asking you, as well as a “sit down” fee of five euros. Do not go here, go anywhere else in portofino than this place cuz it is just legal daytime robbery to eat here. Also NINE EUROS FOR A COKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. They suck.

Totally Overpriced. We felt scammed after lunch. 212€ for the most basic food, 3 coffees (6€each), desert (13€) 3 beers (6€) and 1 water (8€) + 15% tax 28€ , + service 4€ each. CRAZY. I served pasta in my house better than in this place. The only good thing of it are the staff, waiters super kind. Price it’s because of seating with “views”.

Call Bank Manager for credit before stepping into this overpriced place .. The place is sitting on the edge of beautiful Porto Fino , it’s a Paradise . Siting Al Fresco what’s Not to like !😍 The food could be a disappointment , busy place waiter if service was average , We had a selection of plates , I had the mixed seafood platter shared between two , as a starter , it should be a main course . Selection of fish was half side deboned sea bass , baby squid , Prawns , Aubergine grilled and zucchini with the addition of Langoustines . Excellent plate of food , served in stone . My main course was a vitello de Limone , thin escalopes of veal , but this did not hit the mark , was bland and too much flour .... when they dipped in flour before taking to the pan . Poor discolouration , poor effort again @ 28.00 euro painful . The rest of the tables food was good and fresh below average a two star was indeed a compliment . However we know restaurants need to make money but to add cover charge and an extra 15% on to the bill , was slightly a day light robbery . However would go back and have the fish platter for two and a glass of wine .... Salad Nicoise was laughable , poor quality tuna , 1 egg and some mixed bag leaf . I know this restaurant has a history over the years but don’t think people go there for the food ... more to sit and look at the wonderful view Porto Fino has got to offer ...
