La location è spettacolare , siamo nel “salotto della città Torino , circondati da palazzi del 1700 , si può lasciare la macchina nel parcheggio sotterraneo e salendo si è direttamente sulla piazza. Abbiamo preso due primi ed una ricca insalata , il servizio è stato veloce il personale è molto gentile. Prezzi accessibili , i piatti costavano intorno ai 15€ .

Bar storico su piazza San Carlo. Tanti posti nel dehors fuori. Al banco il caffè costa 1,5 euro: buono al gusto.

The atmosphere is the best things about this place. Drinks are a bit expensive due to where it is. We did not order food. The bathroom is organised and clean, however I have not seen access for people with special needs. They need more staff.

This cafe just off the piazza has an interesting Art Deco feel to it. While we initially thought it was going to be quite expensive, the food we ordered (open focaccia sandwiches) came in huge portions and was very tasty.

La posizione è ottima, poiché il bar è posizionato all'angolo della nota Piazza San Carlo, con tavolini sotto i portici e direttamente nella piazza. Il personale è tanto, ma scarsamente empatico e il servizio molto veloce nel prendere la comanda, un pò meno bel servirla. Prezzi alti, ma siamo nella piazza centrale di Torino e quindi allineati alla media del posto. Una nota di miglioramento: se ci sono cose del menù che sono stagionali, vi suggerisco di fare un menù estivo e uno invernale (anche se in questo periodo e oggi con 30° magari non ci aspetta di non trovare più la granita), o perlomeno di indicarlo sul menù, per evitare di dover chiedere tutto il menù prima di arrivare a trovare cosa c'è di disponibile.

ALLERTA SCIPPI AL CAFFÈ MOKITA! Mio padre e la sua compagna sono stati vittime di un furto fulmineo e devastante. Durante un aperitivo SEDUTI nel dehor del bar hanno RUBATO la borsetta contenente cellulari, portafogli, documenti e beni essenziali, nonostante fosse ben nascosta sotto una giacca e una sciarpa. Tornando al bar dopo aver fatto denuncia, hanno scoperto che non era un caso isolato: quella stessa domenica, 27 ottobre, altre tre persone erano già state derubate (detto dai CAMERIERI del bar e sapevano pure chi erano i delinquenti). Faccio questa recensione per avvisare i futuri clienti di questo bar di fare attenzione perché non c’è nessun avviso. In un locale frequentato, dove questi episodi sembrano frequenti, un avviso potrebbe aiutare a evitare queste esperienze terribili!

Please don't expect anything else: it's a small Italian cafe with a big terrace at a very touristy place. No one cares if you come or not. Others will follow.....so the service is certainly not the quickest and the prices not the most typical Italian prices. For cheaper coffee: go inside to the bar and drink it quickly there.... But compared to a coffee in England, Germany, Austria and such, it's absolutely okay and you get a phantastic Bicerin here....it's a very typical coffee with whipped cream and some chocolate.....(9€ but hey: it's vacation). Give yourself a treat.

The location is excellent, though you do pay a premium for it. Service tends to be slow, really slow. The gelato is fantastic, but again, remember that the prime location is reflected in the price.

Contrary to most reviews, we found the service pretty friendly and quick. Yes, it’s absolutely overpriced but that’s what you get in a cafe on a square in the heart of a city. My son enjoyed his €5 Coke, I enjoyed my €3 espresso, my wife was pleased with her €7 bottle of beer. Can’t complain, but I doubt I’ll be going back any time soon.

Il locale è nell'angolo della fantastica piazza San Carlo. Purtroppo la nostra esperienza non è stata granché. Abbiamo provato il bicerin, bevanda tipica torinese a base di panna caffè e cioccolato. La panna sembrava quella spray, cioccolato sul fondo praticamente assente. Per 9 € gradirei di meglio.

Purtroppo prima di arrivare alla cassa andava tutto bene, ci è piaciuto ciò che abbiamo mangiato tanto che tra noi (io e la mia compagna) dicevamo sappiamo dove venire a mangiare quando siamo in zona per andare sul sicuro.. ce stato un piccolissimo inconveniente con un capello nel calice di vino, ma è stato prontamente cambiato porgendo anche le scuse da parte del cameriere, per cui nessun disturbo, purtroppo capita. A fine pranzo, quindi, mi dirigo in cassa e trovo una signora abbastanza antipatica e scorbutica che dopo 5 minuti averci detto buongiorno finalmente si degna di farci pagare il conto.. conto relativamente salato, ma ripeto mi è piaciuto il pranzo quindi comunque non mi lamento, al che uscendo e facendo una battuta sul fatto che almeno una sorriso me lo sarei meritato visto il conto appena pagato, mi metto a guardare lo scontrino e cosa trovo?!? Penso sia la cosa peggiore che un cliente possa notare.. due piatti (almeno) pagati più del prezzo del menù.. davvero scandaloso! Posto lo scontrino perché non amo fare brutte recensioni ma non amo nemmeno essere presto per idiota ! Ovviamente non torno indietro per circa 2 euro però è il gesto e non la cifra che fa di voi un posto dal quale io starò volentieri alla larga. Peccato ! Davvero peccato.

Arriviamo da Milano alle 9.00 e volevamo fare colazione. Tutto chiuso un deserto assoluto... Che addirittura pensavamo che erano chiusi per il freddo... Camminando abbiamo trovato questo bar aperto... Ci siamo buttati dentro. 2 cappuccini, 3 brioches e 1 bicchiere d'acqua... 19€ Siamo usciti sbalorditi. Capisco fossimo stati in piazza San Marco... Ma a Torino anche no. Non pago una colazione così tanto manco in piazza Duomo a Milano. Forse dovevamo vedere i prezzi prima di sederci.

Sono rimasta molto insoddisfatta. Locale in Piazza San Carlo, un ambiente bello ma purtroppo mi sento di dire che non ne vale la pena. Prezzi molto alti, e non mi lamenterei di questo se la qualità dei prodotti fosse in piena linea con essi (data la vista sulla piazza), ma così non è stato. Prodotti decenti, niente di particolare (tranne il tiramisù, l’unica cosa buona). La mia amica ha chiesto un cornetto al pistacchio, dopo un’attesa ASSURDA, le è stato riferito che era terminato così ha chiesto un cornetto al cioccolato. Dopo un’ulteriore attesa ASSURDA, la mia amica ha chiesto informazioni e le è stato comunicato che era tutto terminato. Così aspettavano a dircelo? È evidente che ci siano clienti di serie A e serie B, ma noi abbiamo pagato e anche profumatamente. NON TORNERÒ MAI PIÙ. PESSIMI.

Sono venuta con gli amici (eravamo più di 30 persone) per passare un momento gradevole a pranzo. Abbiamo aspettato quasi un'ora per mangiare e risulta che il cibo è arrivato freddissimo. Abbiamo chiesto se era possibile di riscaldare e ci hanno risposto che il piatto è così. (Delusione totale) Alcuni abbiamo mangiato perché avevamo fame e perché avevamo pagato. Sarà la prima e l'ultima volta che mangiamo qui.

Pessimo, lasciamo perdere il prezzo perché spendere per un’aperitivo con un tagliere manco fatto da cracco e spendo 90€ in 3 un po esagerato, servizio lento 25 minuti per un tagliere e 3 drink, non posso immaginare se ci fosse stata molta gente, gira solo perché è in piazza San Carlo.

Abbiamo preso un aperitivo nel dehor, un buon analcolico ma con accompagnamento misero: patatine, arachidi, olive. Abbiamo chiesto qualche salatino e ci hanno portato due piccoli quadratini a testa di pane farcito, nemmeno tanto fresco. Con due caffè al banco, totale 23,50. Ci è sembrato caro, soprattutto perché in altri locali con 12 euro a testa ti danno molto ma molto di più. Non è più il mokita di una volta, quando c'era un mega buffet di salato per l'aperitivo, da venirci apposta. Anche gli arredi esterni sarebbero da curare (alcune sedie da sostituire).

A mio parere qualità dei prodotti a un prezzo altissimo. Non ci ritornerò sicuramente.

Horrible!!! Avoid at all costs!!! Tourist Trap!!! We were 4, and ordered - Mozzarella and Tomatoes, Risotto, Caesar salad and Asparagi Occhio di bue — to our horror all the dishes were just out right disgusting!! (Trust us we are not exaggerating). The Mozarella cheese was super dry and felt like rubber, the risotto had no taste/flavour whatsoever, the Caeser salad came with just two ingredients salad, chicken, asparagus was basic. My son was super hungry so he kinda managed to gulp the asparagus and eggs…but rest we left them as is! The only nice thing about the restaurant is the location which they are taking full advantage of to rip off innocent tourists.

We came three times to this place. The service is not consistent. The first couple of times it was ok but on Sunday 20th, the staff was running around like headless chickens. Drinks taken to wrong tables, slow service and additionally my second drink was just slammed down with not even a word. Wrong side of the table, not even a coaster so table ended up all wet. Very disappointing.

Worst experience in Italy ever I would rate it 0 star if possible, highly recommend to avoid this place as we've had the worst possible experience, extremely rude waiter we sat outside and then got chilly and wanted to move inside after asking the waiter if that's possible he just started swearing in italian, after everyone ordered the food I've ordered a grill misto mare( grilled sea food platter) everyone's food arrived and ate and mine still didn't come after 30min wait, asked the waiter he said in a rude way that I didn't ordered must probably he forgot and place the ordered when I've asked a second time, after another 30 min the food came insted of the well waited sea food was a mix fish platter with some vegetables also cold, from my experience after visiting several places around the world misto mare is a mix of shrimp , octopus and other sea food not a platter of tuna, salmon and another fish, I've asked for the manager as I wouldn't accept to pay for a 1h late cold food which I didn't even touch and received a very rude response that this is the right platter from the menu, I've advised them to change the name from fritto misto to a more accurate representation as a pescara platter. Then started saying rude things about me in italian which i understood. Avoid if you don't want your lunch and day ruined and terrible service

Food was just so bad. No flavour, had to force it down because I was hungry. Wife’s and daughters meals weren’t any better. Much better Italian food back home in Vancouver. Not to mention one of the most expensive places I’ve been to. Sad to say I’d rather have eaten at McDonalds.

A typical tourist trap utilizing its good location. Had 2 coffees and cannoli that were below average quality and more expensive than much fancier/better places. The service was also subpar with our order (again, just coffee and cannoli) being mixed up several times by staff. Wouldn’t come again.

By the way...the price's wich are indicated on the menu are lower ...after the "robbery" i decided to check that ,as i could not believe what just happened .
