We eat here every time my family goes to Pismo. Always have great service, good food and low wait times. This time was a little different due to the coronavirus, but that's understandable. The important part of this trip was the fact that I left my credit card there by accident and was able to retrieve it the following morning with no problems whatsoever. Just one of the reasons why I will continue to go back there. Thank you Huckleberry's staff!

We love coming here when we are in town! We were here for my birthday, and they made it extra special! The food is amazing as is the service!! I have never had better fried green tomatoes!! I recommend the chicken and waffles, with a plate of fried green tomatoes to start with. For drinks, go with the non alcoholic strawberry lemonade.

I stopped in for a cup of soup I got the vegetable and it was absolutely delicious they served it with some garlic toast it came out piping hot and very fast. The Tesla supercharger is a quick two minute walk away so perfect little snack while I’m charging. The customer service was phenomenal she greeted me immediately took my order promptly, with a big ole smile.

On our way to Pismo we dropped here for Lunch. They only serve breakfast & lunch and open till 3:00PM. Our server Vanessa was amazing...she gave a few recommendations and made sure our experience was great. We ordered a Chicken Sandwich, chicken strips and Beniget (Ben-yay)!!

We loved every bite of our experience here! Breakfast started with the green fried tomatoes which were new for us but a definite new favourite. Service was fast and friendly, the food faultless, and the atmosphere incredibly charming and fun. Highly recommended!

I'm visiting my sister and she took me to this restaurant for breakfast, as she said it was really good. She was not lying. Not only is the atmosphere in this place really cool, the food was delicious! We ordered the beignets (I had always wanted to try them) and they were AMAZING. The breakfast items were really good as well, and the amount of food you get is definitely worth the money. I highly recommend eating here.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Huckleberry! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the menu and the ingredients. What really made our visit special, though, was our server, Lily. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Lily had great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. Her energy and professionalism elevated the entire experience, it felt like we were being taken care of by someone who truly loves what she does. If you're heading to Huckleberry, definitely ask for Lily, she’s a gem! Looking forward to coming back!

HUCKLEBERRY'S offers the ambience of a rustic roadhouse. Generous portions of "home cooked" meals and large drinks are presented with Southern charm. Huckleberry's "aged decor" provides comfortable booth seating. The tableware comes wrapped in a rolled paper napkins. Condiments include ketchup, salt, pepper, several hot sauces, from a small table stand, built of water pipe, hangs a roll of paper towels. Drinks are served in Mason jars. Tawnya, our welcoming server, was familiar with the menu and provided several suggestions. I ordered a modified vegetable stir-fry. My wife ordered a plain waffle. On our second visit our server, Shauna, was just as helpful. The meals were as good as the first. My stir-fry was delivered in a very hot, cast iron skillet, with a potholder wrapped around its handle. A wood hotplate protected the table. The vegetable mix included red and green peppers, tomatoes. mushrooms, and onions. As I'm a vegan, the fried egg was left off. The serving is quite large, a bit salty, but quite good. My wife's plain waffle, hot off the iron, was presented with a mound of whipped butter. Jam was also provided. STUFF: Everything is ADA compatible. Parking is free in their large lot. Freeway access is easy. Huckleberry's first opened in Modesto California in 2008. The growing chain has about 20 locations.

5 Stars – Southern Comfort Perfection! This place had us hooked from day one! Huckleberry’s is a Southern comfort breakfast and lunch spot with bold Louisiana Cajun influences — and once we found it, there was no going anywhere else. We ended up having breakfast here every single day of our trip because we knew no one could top it. Service was fast and super friendly, the coffee was hot and flavorful, and the kids' menu was great. Everything on the menu looked incredible, but I made the mistake (or the best decision ever?) of ordering the STACKED chicken and waffles on day one — and I just couldn’t bring myself to try anything else after that. It was hands down the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The breading on the chicken had this complex Cajun-spiced flavor that perfectly balanced heat and seasoning, and the sauce added a subtle kick that was mellowed out by the sweet maple syrup. And the butter on top — oh man — it was clearly made in-house, rich and flavorful like nothing I’ve ever tasted. Next level. My husband had steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy, and even though I’m a self-proclaimed gravy snob, I took a bite and had to admit — this was GOOD gravy. If you’re craving bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a breakfast that hits your soul — Huckleberry’s is it. We’re officially obsessed.

Less friendly older lady at the front taking names for tables who seemed less accommodating than with others before my family. Then there was a kind Latina young lady who gave me a blue ticket to put on the car dash for parking that I later realized the older unfriendly lady didn't bother to give me but gave all the others before me. It took the usual 10-15 min wait to be seated. The next girl who seated us was nice. But the one employee who took our hearts for the win is our server, LILLY. I hope I am spelling your name correctly. You took this experience to another level for us. You made my family of 8 feel WELCOMED and WANTED, and made my 6 children feel that they BELONGED in this crowd. You see, just the night ago, we ran out of places to eat at and ended up in the local Denny's where our kids had the unfortunate experience of hearing a comment from a senior lady who walked by our table with her family and then got up and left her family to sit away from them because she said she "didn't want to be seated next to BROWN people", referring to us and another family nearby. So, Lilly, your upbeat personality and charisma has proven to our kids that people like you still do exist, that the comment from the old senior lady was something random and insignificant. You have restored the balance in our universe. I have raised my children to not see hate and they do not recognize SKIN COLOR until a mean comment like that is heard. Eventhough they don't take it personally, it makes them question why. And no matter how much I have managed to tell them that we can only control what we say and feel, the reality is, bigotry, racism, and ignorance still exists. In these trying times, for a lot of immigrant families facing abrupt separation from their loved ones, I can see how comments such as that mean one fires the fuel. Lilly, our server, was so inviting, and made my kids feel comfortable from start to finish. She was very knowledgeable about Huckleberry's breakfast/brunch menu. She has one of those bubbly personalities that makes you say yes to whatever she suggested and you went along with it, not only out of curiosity, but because you trusted her instinct to try new food items. My children are big foodies and you got them hooked. This is a great place to get a glimpse of southern foods from the delta areas. From fried Okra and fried green tomatoes, add in the beignets, catfish fish n chips, the big skillets of omelets with the reds, biscuits n thick sausage gravy, the banana Foster French toast platter or plain French toast one too, then endless refills of southern peach tea or strawberry lemonade served in huge sugar rimmed Mason jars, which, BTW, Lilly made this finale gesture of sending us off with tall to go cups filled with ice, halfway peach tea and peaches sitting atop that ice that we filled up all the way with the remainder tea we had in our glasses. I mean...this sweet lady is an old soul. The last time someone did something thoughtful like that was back in one of my visits in the South, years ago in pre-pandemic days. She never bugged us, she came to check on us regularly to see if all is ok and if we needed more refills or any questions we might have. She anticipated our needs in her quiet demeanor. I observed her just as much as she kept on top of my babies' meal satisfaction. Lillie, you had me at hello. And in the end, as she left some to go boxes for our plenty leftovers (their servings are huge!), she wrote in the back of my bill something so sweet and went straight to our hearts. She said she "felt HOME with my family'. Lillie, my babies took to you like family because YOU welcomed US as your own. Thank you Lilly. Your heartfelt note will go in my pile of saved receipts with special notes that I collect. You are etched in my family's hearts and we hope to see you again next time we come to visit the Huckleberry's Pismo location. There's ample parking spaces here, clean environment, speedy food service, we enjoyed all the dishes we had. Stop by and look up Lilly, and see for yourself the experience we had.

We absolutely love this restaurant!! The atmosphere is so fun, the staff is always so kind and friendly, and the food is delicious! Anytime we are in town, we make sure to eat here every morning. It's so nice to see the same friendly faces when we return. Vanessa and Shauna are our absolute favorite servers - they are so detail-oriented, never forget our special requests, and always go above and beyond to make sure we're taken care of. Exceptional servers!!! Laisha, who works at the front, is always so nice and helpful. She makes sure we get a great table and even helps bring any extra items we need. We can't recommend this place enough! The amazing team and great service keep us coming back every time.

Wonderful chicken fried steak and eggs. Service is fast and accurate, and all are very friendly, especially Shawna who has a smile and giggle for all.

The place was busy, yet we only waited 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was clean, the server was friendly and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced for the quality and portion sizes. The chicken strips were hand battered and good. I would recommend this place.

So many choices! I ordered the crab cake Benedict without English muffins. It was delicious and so filling. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient. If you're a fan of huckleberries, good food and charming atmosphere this is a place you should check out.

The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. If you are staying in Pismo, I suggest walking as this town is very walkable. The environment was clean and comfortable, but a little dark. The main dishes and drinks were very good and offered some spice. The side potatoes were a little less loved. Overall, the food was good and plentiful.

Not the best visit today. Usually love the food and always love the service. Ordered the shrimp po' boy, tasted great, one of the shrimp came out of the breading and I saw that it hadn't been cleaned properly, still had poop that wasn't removed. Waitress was great and showed the manager. They said I wouldn't have to pay for it which was going to be the outcome regardless. Anyway, small hiccup, handled well, will return but might not try the shrimp again.

Good food, nice decor. Our server was took care of us, but clearly wanted to be someplace else. We enjoyed the visit, but will probably try something different the next time we are in town.

We have given a four not to our server Alison, but because it took so long to get our food (45-50 min) from ordering to receiving. Our server, Alison was great! Today is a Thursday; last week was Fourth of July. Nice & clean environment; bathroom well stocked too. 😀

All in all pretty good. Service was fantastic, and the food was good. We didn't even wind up waiting very long for a table. I liked the Mississippi scramble and the stuffed french toast was a nice little treat.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good their food is. I have been here several times over the years, and most times left satisfied. To those unfamiliar, it's a theme restaurant, kinda like a Cracker Barrel, only it's a New Orleans vibe. Servers are always super friendly and if you get there early enough (before 9am) there isn't typically a wait to get in. I will definitely order something else if we go back. My husband enjoyed his breakfast of eggs, waffles, and ham. They were not amazing, but definitely cooked well and tasted good.

Service was not that great and one of the waitress got mix up on something that was told to her from I guess her boss and basically she was getting scolded in front of us and I didn't think that looked very professional if there was something going on they needed to take her to another room and talk about what was going on and that delayed our order and as we were waiting for a order they got the order out but they forgot something and we had to ask three times before we actually got what was missing the food was good though but the service was not very good

Hit or miss with this beloved breakfast/lunch restaurant. There are times I've loved everything I've had and there are times it was just ok.

The food was well-seasoned, but the condiment was a bit too sweet. If the sweetness could be adjusted to be a little less, it would be perfect. I recommend requesting all sauces on the side so you can control the sweetness to your liking. The service was friendly & everyone was very nice.

I've eaten here before and it was great! Today, however, I ordered a Huck Chicken Salad with a crab cake instead of chicken. The lettuce was old and limp. There were only little bits of bacon, some small pieces of tomato, and a hard boiled egg on it; nothing else. Way too much lettuce!! Also, the waitress forgot to bring my tea until I was almost done eating. But she didn't charge me for it, so that was fair. Bad experience. Don't know if I'll go back. Things have changed

Food was good, service was fine, the bibyas were ok as they had zero cream in them, the huckleberry muffin was dry and seemed like it was a highly processed muffin from the supermarket.

The service was fairly slow when they weren't that busy. The coleslaw tasted just like vinegar. The decor is nice and the servers were friendly. The fried green tomatoes were not very good. The breading should stick better. However, the chicken strips are fabulous.

Food was ok, I expected better. Not sure why I did? Got the waffles, they were heavier than I would’ve liked. I’ve definitely have had lighter fluffier waffles than these even at cheaper options like ihop. A little disappointed, again not sure why the food was Ok and not that expensive. Maybe I just thought the pictures looked better when driving by?? Not sure but overall it was OK. Probably won’t be back but also if we end up going back for breakfast while in the road, it’s fine.

I had high expectations based on the reviews, unfortunately I deeply disappointed. Starting off with the iced peach tea, while presentation is great the flavor was anything but. The tea is clearly that one gallon ice tea you get at the supermarket and sliced peaches were added to attempt to give it the peach flavor. The breakfast burrito was lacking in flavor and wrapped in a king sized flour tortilla which made for a very dry burrito. My wife and kids were also not impressed with their food selections. The soup my wife ordered was cold and the salad had pieces of cucumber that were bitter. The pizza sticks my daughter ordered tasted like frozen pizza. On the bright size the waiters were excellent, it is sad the food does not complement their service.

The worst food that I have experienced in years half burnt cold waffle with frozen canned strawberries? Uncooked bacon , water thin old cigar tasting coffee. It was unbelievably bad, yet I've read reviews that express a meal of a lifetime. Two days to feel better from this meal. Against my better judgment it was simply too expensive to not try to eat. (Bad idea). Go to Jack in the Box or skip breakfast altogether before eating there. You'll be sorry if you do.

First time going there. I have visited Pismo Beach 4 times in the past 2 months. I've been wanting to have breakfast here. Stopped in this morning. I was greeted promptly and seated. I was told my waitress will be right with me. About 5 minutes after being seated, a table of 2 were seated in front of me. The waitress apparently knew them. She proceeded to walk by my table and informed me she'll be right with me. Then, after bringing them their drinks, I still don't even have a glass of water. She proceeds to rake their order. At that point, I walked out. I then decided to go back in and tell th e ladies at the front about my experience. They really didn't care. I definitely won't go back and I definitely will make sure I tell others of my first and last experience there.

Came here with two young children. We waited 10 minutes after being seated and weren't even acknowledged. Our kids were extra hungry so we ordered at the counter to go instead of trying to dine in to speed things up. Their menu was impressive and food was good.

Apparently the waitress added bayou reds && bacon & cheese to my order without asking. I hate sneaky charges. Not coming back. PS. Biscuits were dry.
