1st time dining at Haywire, was highly recommended. 1st time in Plano actually, the restaurant located in a very nice place. Beautiful restaurant overall, love the low light atmosphere, candles pretty much around which made it feel magical. Love the dining chairs, very comfortable, felt homelike. Our waiter , Dallas, was great! Very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, got the tomahawk steak platter with couple of sides- got to try their cornbread! Moist , sweet and delicious! Shrimp was plump and delicious! The steak was medium rare, honestly it seemed more rare, but since I was a guest, didn’t want to comment it on that. But I did spear couple pieces of meat from the ends of the cuts that looked more cooked and I’ll say that it was definitely tender and juicy. Boy you Texans love your steaks! 😉 Being from California, not use to thick cuts of meat. But overall the platter of beautifully seasoned and arranged. Would I dine here again? YES! I believe it would be a hit in California. fun fact- their meats/ veggies and other stuff are locally sourced. Which I think is great! Thank you Haywire for an outstanding dining experience.

This was my first time at Haywire, and I was highly pleased! The service was great, the restaurant was clean, and the food was really good. The whole place had such a nice vibe. We sat on the top floor with a beautiful view, and I truly enjoyed myself here. I’ll definitely be back!

Pretty tasty. I got some venison chili with cornbread, tallow fries, and a cocktail. You get a lot of chili for the cost and it had just the right amount of spice and seasoning. Fries were crispy. The cocktail was fine. We sat at the bar and it was fine. Beware of the top floor lounge as it's moreso a speakeasy with cigar smoke looming if you hate the smell. We did and sat on the second floor. Overall, nice establishment.

My husband and I had a wonderful first experience here. Heidi the GM is wonderful and you can tell her staff all love working there. Our server Britany was very attentive and so amazing. My husband had their signature Old fashioned and the double burger which he loved. I had the hot chicken sandwich and the Guava Jalapeno Margarita ( I always swap tequila with bourbon, trust me on this one, just do it.) Wonderful meal, we will absolutely be back.

This was a recommendation from some guys we met at a brewery and it did not disappoint! Jonah was our server and is the best server we experienced while visiting Frisco/ Plano TX. Jonah recommended his version of a surf & turf with a little Cajun cream sauce! It was absolutely mouth watering!!!! I had it with the garlic stuffed filet! This will be a meal I will remember for a long time!!!!! My hubby had the Ribeye with Chimmichurri rice and added garlic butter to his steak! It was perfectly seasoned and tender!!!! The bread pudding is to die for! The whiskey caramel sauce is sweet without being too sweet!!!! Do yourself a favor! Get to Haywire and ask for Jonah!!!!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!!!

The Haywire team did an outstanding job making my birthday dinner feel special! My party was running late for our reservation, but we called ahead to let them know and the staff were so accommodating. They were able to hold our table for an additional 30 min, which we greatly appreciated. Jordan, our server, was fantastic and very attentive. He was very helpful with his suggestions and frequently checked on us during our meal. The food was fantastic - especially the whiskey bread pudding. We are already making plans to go back just for the bread pudding because it is so phenomenally good. One of the best desserts I've ever had. The decor and ambiance is sophisticated and elegant, but still retains that Texas charm. We visited both the 2nd floor dining room and 3rd floor rooftop. My only negative is that the noise level was a bit too loud while dining, but we also went on a Saturday night for dinner, so it may depend on the time/crowd. Overall, incredible experience and Haywire is truly deserving of 5-stars.

I came to Haywire in Plano to celebrate my birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. I ordered the 12oz NY strip steak, which was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy, rich, and the perfect side. Their frozen Texas Tea quickly became my new favorite drink—refreshing and dangerously easy to enjoy. Between the food, drinks, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere, it felt like such a special night. The service was attentive without being overbearing, which really made the celebration even better. Haywire made my birthday dinner feel memorable, and I’ll definitely be back!

This was my second time at Haywire and I truly enjoy this place. Ambience is nice, lighting is low, and the place is HUGE (three stories including a rooftop) The first time I really enjoyed the steak I ordered! My second visit I wasn’t overly wowed by the food, but I still enjoyed nonetheless! I also got the mojito refresher and I highly recommend for a non alcoholic beverage. Marcus was our server and he did an exceptional job!! He was very funny, attentive, quick, and gave us great and super honest suggestions over the menu! Definitely recommend as your server! Haywire is the place to go for a date night or a special occasion!!

I must say the meal was truly delightful. The steak, in particular, stood out with its exceptional tenderness and flavor, making it a great dish. The cajun corn was my favorite side.Overall, We tried the Austin Hope red wine and was delicious, a little bit on the sweet side. it was a wonderful dining experience, a perfect lunch. The Pecan pie desert was amazingly good.

We ate here on Sunday night when it wasn't too busy or loud. The food was great, although a little pricey, and the service was very helpful and friendly. It was such a big barn look that I didn't think was the greatest and might be very noisy when it's full. There are three levels and there are some rooms for a copier atmosphere that might be better for a more intimate setting. There is also seating outside on the 2nd and 3rd floors that overlook the stage where the entertainment is on weekends.

Ate here on a Thursday evening. We had no reservation. Only had to wait about 20 minutes. We had a drink at the first floor whiskey bar while we waited. We ate in the 2nd floor dining room. The decor and atmosphere was nice. We both ordered steaks and they were great. The only bad note was that our salads were delivered to us at the exact same time as our steaks. We had to put our steaks aside so we could eat our salads first. The steaks aren't cheap and it's aggravating that you can't eat them when they arrive at your table due to poor service. However, I would go back to try again.

Service and atmosphere were great, but the steak was disappointing. We ordered the 33oz Wagyu Tomahawk Rib-Eye ($150) and it was very salty. The actual meat felt closer to 10–15 oz, with much of the weight coming from the bone. Charging for bone weight without clear labeling feels misleading. For the price, we expected better value and transparency.

This restaurants strong suit isn't their food but the ambiance. They have 3 floors where you can dine, each level with its own vibe, so you get a different experience on different levels. I mean the food is ok but for the price they charge it's not something that has you wanting to come back. The interior decor is very nice and the location makes it a date worthy spot, though. I recommend checking it out but not for its food or service.

However, the experience fell flat. We waited an hour for a table, and while we explored the area, the upstairs open-air seating wasn’t an option due to the unbearable Texas heat. The food was disappointing, to say the least. The queso had no flavor, but we ate it out of hunger. My chicken fried chicken was completely tasteless—I had to douse it in Tabasco just to get through a few bites. The green beans were bland and only steamed, no seasoning at all. The mashed potatoes were hard, flavorless, and I couldn’t manage more than a bite. My friend’s burger was just okay, nothing special.

I went to Haywire in February 2025 for my birthday brunch and it almost ruined my birthday. The food was pretty good, but if I could give this 0 stars I would. I was seated on the second floor and my server was a young skinny white dude. I know it was busy, and as an ex server myself, I get it. However, he kept forgetting things we asked for and he was rude. He told me to let him know, when I want my birthday cake brought out. We communicated clearly to him that I was going to open up my birthday gifts and then tell him when we were ready for the cake. In an attempt to rush us, he brought out the cake in the middle of me opening gifts. Then later in the brunch a white lady (customer) walks past our table, knocks the custom bouquet that my friend made for my birthday off the table, didn’t even look back or apologize, and just kept walking. The glass shatters and everyone is just there looking at us and no one, not even staff are helping. Eventually, someone came over with a broom, but it took me and my best friend picking up glass with our bare hands before someone finally came to help. When our waiter returns, we explained to him what happened and his response was, “I would have done the same thing” and laughed. Implying that he would have kept walking too if he broke my flower vase. My entire party just stared at him in disbelief. Seeing how much time and energy it took for my friend to make that custom bouquet I did not find this funny. I not sure if this poor treatment on my milestone birthday was racially charged or just a bunch of rude careless people who happened to be white… but this definitely was one of the worst birthday brunch experiences I have ever had.
