One of our favourite restaurants in Playa! We have been coming here for years! My Mon took us here years ago and we come every time ! The Cesar salads are a must! They make them in front of you! The guacamole is also amazing and the flambé desserts are out of this world! MUST TRY ! Prices have definitely increased a bit much over the years.

If you find yourself in Playa del Carmen then you have to find and go to dinner at Carboncitos. The food is excellent, I recommend anything flambé (especially the shrimps) and the staff are just the best, we had such a fun night first time round we had to go back…! You won’t be disappointed. 👍🍺🥃👏

Great place! Great service, even better Margaritas! This was our second time here and didn’t disappoint. The owner, Steve, sat and chatted with us for a while. Even took the time to show us his attached hotel I did t even realize was there. Also super cute and super handy after to many of those Margaritas!

This restaurant is an absolute must when we visit PDC, sometimes multiple times during one trip, all their food is delicious but my favourite is their house soup with chicken, vegetables, rice and cheese, it's served with a plate of cilantro, onion, avocado and habenero to add as you'd like. We also really enjoy their enchiladas. We've been going for years now and it's always a good vibe, not too loud, sometimes they have live music on their patio and there is often local street performances that happen right infront which is fun to watch during dinner. Staff here are fantastic, they even balance bottles of beer or margaritas on their head to deliver to the table which is impressive.

We went for Happy hour! 2x1! Atmosphere was good. No music. Waiters were very friendly ! We enjoyed listening to a couple of songs from a mariachi band who stopped by ! We did not have snacks or food. Overall recommend !

A great experience. Staff were extremely friendly and their humour made my kids day. Food was good and prices were not outrageous. A perfect location and size. A relaxed feeling after the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave.

Had a nice dinner here on my last evening in Mexico. I’m writing this review as Abrahim was so attentive and helped me with my Spanish. He also convinced me to only get the fajitas and he was right! The portion was massive! Thank you again!

Ok.. if you are looking for a amazing food, customer service, and the most friendly atmosphere... this is your place.. Abraham, Miguel, Francisco, these men are the most amazing... we have been there e times, this visit, and they haven't disappointed... The food is so good... I honestly can't say enough about this place... I will return in my travels

We visited Carboncitas 2x in the last 3 days for dinner. The food was delicious, atmosphere amazing and best of all Abraham, Miguel and Francisco were fantastic servers and hosts. Will be sharing with all of our friends. Gracias!

Well, I've been staying at Hotel Cielo for the last month and a half , which by the way is awesome staff,great beds. And downstairs is Carbon it's , and let me tell you ....it's great Food is delicious, best Margaritas in town , staff is wonderful. I've eaten in many restaurants here in Playa but eat at Carboncitos at least 5 meals a week. You will not be disappointed

With so many choices around 5th Ave this place stands out by nailing the basics: great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff will laugh with you and have fun like bringing out big sombreros for you to take a picture in. My whole family loved it. If you aren’t full after some lights out tacos, try the flambé mango or banana - heaven. Stop in and grab a bite, you will not be disappointed!

Enjoyed an amazing meal with fantastic service with our family of 5. Had a mix of Mexican and Mayan style foods including mixed seafood ceviche, tacos, stuffed poblano pepper, stuffed chicken breast, quesadilla, and flambéed jumbo shrimp and it was delicious 😋. The margaritas are super large and yummy too 😁. Big kudos to the staff who were all attentive and very friendly. Highly recommend this place 👌🏼

My family and I had the best time here at Carboncitos. The food was amazing and it was followed by even better service. Miguel and Abraham were our servers and they carried our margaritas out to our tables on their heads! We were a group of 6 people and there was no wait for a table and the food came out quickly! After we ate they let us walk to the roof, which had an amazing view of PDC. Definitely recommend!

My family and I had a fantastic experience experience here. The atmosphere was comfortable and service was excellent. We shared the guacamole to start and then I ordered a avocado stuffed with ceviche. It was all delicious and I could see us going back before the end of our trip.

I have to say this is by far the BEST experience at a restaurant I’ve had in playa ! My family and I are from Montreal and it’s our second time in playa del Carmen and this beats any restaurant. From the food the atmosphere and the waiters made our night. We will be back and recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you Aberham and the rest of the team

I visted this restaurant recently as the beach location and the high re-views. I was a bit disappointed leaving this place. The service and location is great just the food wasnt. The flavours weren't giving for me. I came here for a traditional "Mexican meal".I ordered char grill chicken tarco and wasnt the biggest fan, no char gill to be seen. The octopus how ever was great! Loved that! Might have been my poor ordered to. I'm not trying to be rude only here for constructive feedback xoxo.

I did not enjoy my meal at Carboncitos. Honestly, it was not good at all. I chose the Chicken Huitlacoche. Unfortunately, I wasn't familiar with this dish. It was described as a Mexican specialty with truffles and I like mushrooms. The sauce looked like mud and tasted terrible. The chicken was fine. I recommend removing this from the menu. My friends got a chicken quesodilla and a chicken dish that was stuffed with pork with a chile sauce. Their dishes were better than mine, meaning they were edible. Service was very slow.
