Discovered by chance while traveling along the road from Biella to the Oropa Sanctuary... and it being lunchtime on a weekday... there were four of us... and an uncontrollable craving for polenta overwhelmed us... 😋😋 A typical old trattoria, simple and clean, with wooden tables and furniture, straw and wood chairs, old, witty and amusing writings on the walls, and many bottles of wine. The friendly, witty, and mustachioed host and owner offered a few dishes, many with all kinds of polenta. The €25 menu included cold cuts, cheeses, and homemade, flavorful products. Each included: 1 soft Concia di Oropa polenta with three types of melted cheese and butter (reservation required), or a firmer sliced polenta with venison, tripe, veal stew, or fondue (melted Fontina cheese), or a soft, soup-like "fried" polenta with tomato and cheese; a bottle of house Barbera red wine or house white wine; one dessert each, in our case, an apple tart or a torta della nonna; an espresso and a good house grappa alla Ruta, a grape marc distillate, offered free by the owner as a digestif. All for €25 per person (as per the attached photos). If you're passing through and you like polenta, don't miss it. Besides enjoying delicious traditional dishes, it will allow you to relive the typical, family-friendly, and simple atmosphere of the past. The restaurant has only 6 free parking spaces, either in front of the restaurant or along the main road leading to Oropa. I also recommend booking in advance if you're visiting on weekends or holidays, as the place isn't big and seats a maximum of 20-30... but IT'S REALLY WORTH IT 😋👍👌

Found by chance on our way to the Sanctuary, but never was a better choice. Excellent food, tender, deliciously fragrant venison. Excellent desserts, good wine, and lots of friendliness. Very fair price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I celebrated my birthday and I'd like to share my thoughts... We were welcomed by Mr. Massimo, the owner of the Trattoria, who truly made us feel like his guests. He served us two excellent menus. I chose what I considered the house's signature dish: venison with polenta, which was a delicacy, compliments to the chef. My husband had tripe with polenta, which was truly excellent. We finished with dessert, coffee, and an after-dinner drink, kindly offered by Mr. Massimo. All enjoyed with an excellent red wine that paired perfectly with the dishes. The location is clean, tidy, and well-furnished. The restrooms are equipped with every comfort and are also accessible to disabled guests. Free parking is available outside the location. My compliments to the owners and Mr. Massimo for their hospitality and for allowing me to celebrate such a wonderful birthday. 🎂 Well done! 👏🏻 I can't wait for tomorrow, October 26, 2023, to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant. 😋 This location was recommended to me by my daughter, and tomorrow I'll finally be able to enjoy the famous "venison with polenta" prepared by Trattoria "Quadrifoglio." I can't yet give you any opinions on the location or menu... But I'll update my review immediately after I've been a guest at Trattoria Quadrifoglio. 🍀 Meanwhile, I can tell you that the lady who answered the phone when I made my reservation was friendly and helpful. The polenta and venison are not to be missed! Choose from a variety of all-inclusive menus (main course, water, wine, coffee, and service charge) or à la carte, depending on the day's availability, with dishes including polenta concia and Biella specialties. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming and familiar. Generous portions and moderate prices.

We had a craving for POLENTA CONCIA, and fate brought us here. A typical setting from another era, the only heating source being a pellet stove that only reached us with its warmth at the end of lunch. Authentic, tasty food, abundant, a bottle of wine included in the menu, worn chairs and tables, but a wholesome experience. Parking was a lottery win. Recommended!

A simple but charming place. The dishes are simple but very good, with polenta taking center stage. The owner is very friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Worth considering when in the area.

Il Quadrifoglio is an excellent restaurant. Very affordable and just a few minutes' drive from the Sacro Monte d'Oropa, it's a great place to enjoy polenta with venison stew (a true specialty)—I personally had never eaten it before—and excellent wine. What's more, when you leave, you can enjoy the view of the Biella countryside.

I discovered it during a motorcycle ride. It's a simple place, but clean and tidy. The owners are very kind and make you feel at home. Starting with the bottle of wine opened for me on the table, regardless of what I ordered. Various one-course meals (deer or sausages with polenta, to name just two), the price of €20 also includes water, wine, coffee, and a digestif. The other option is a full menu, €25. I had a one-course meal, well-made and easy to digest. Very satisfied, I'll be back! Thanks for the welcome.

Trattoria Il Quadrifoglio has a truly friendly and approachable owner who knows how to put guests at ease with his warmth and friendliness. However, the overall experience wasn't entirely satisfying. The quality of the food was rather disappointing: some dishes seemed a bit dated, and the flavor wasn't particularly exceptional. The kitchen and the dishes definitely need significant improvements.

I went today and chose stewed sausage with potatoes, the potatoes were dry and did not seem to have been recently cooked, the sausage had not been cooked in the sauce but simply cooked in a pan and with the tomato sauce poured on top and not even of quality, I'm sorry for me, it was a negative experience.
