I wish I took more pictures of the food. It was delicious and the server was very attentive (I do not recall his name, but oddly enough, he was my server both times I was there.) I was on vacation and the hotel referred this place.. I'm glad that listened.

Everything you want to in an old school diner. Breakfast at anytime, combo eggs/meat/pancakes platter and a killer club sandwich. Nothing fancy here, unless you look out the windows, you'd have no idea where you were other than a small town somewhere in America.

Great food, great service. The challah bread was divine, had to ask for more! Olga was very sweet and our Greek server was nice and cheerful. The lamb chops were juicy, the Greek combination platter was amazing and came with desert and coffee! Their desert selection was huge and very hard to choose from. Staying in the area for the first time ever and literally in google I just put "place for breakfast" this place pops up and locals recommend it! So I go try it, I like the atmosphere but what is better is the food. It's very yummy and worth the time and money. It's also amazing that this location is open 24hours. Also I only had the breakfast menu since I believe they change the menu after a certain time.

Best omelettes we have ever had! The portion sizes are ginormous and I am not complaining. We had breakfast and our lunch. The place is very nicely decorated with a retro vibe and its so cozy. They also have a nice selection of sweets when that are on full display when you walk in that makes you want to have your dessert first. Me and my husband were very pleased with our visit. This is a spot we are going to visit whenever we past through Pompano Beach or Fort Lauderdale.

This is a really nice place to eat at when you're looking for a wide range of meals at any time of the day. You can get breakfast all day long...my favorite! Or choose from a bunch of lunch or dinner style foods from the menu. The serving sizes are pretty big, and the food is downright comfort style yummy! My favorite item so far is the orange juice and sausage links...both are fresh and tasty. The one thing that bothers me are the booth cushions are kinda firm so not so good for a bad back.

This was my first dining experience since the beginning of the pandemic. Went with a good friend, service was good and had the safety precautions. Food was great especially the Greek selection, my friend had the soy based burger which she enjoyed. Overall a good experience, go support them.

OMG what a nice surprise at this Diner is owned by a Greek family. There are many options of dishes to choose from but we just had to go for the Greek dishes! We have had Greek food before but this was definitely 💯 % authentic. Very reasonable prices and very friendly staff. So glad we had the opportunity to chat with the owners. I love this place, everything from the décor to the and service. My breakfast was perfect. Eggs just right, bacon was unbelievable, toast was toasted perfect. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were normal. TV'S around for viewing. The only knock is the TV's had CNN playing! But great news, they now show Fox News! Sadly they are back to CNN Update Food and service still good just hate that CNN still on.

This is a great diner. Friendly staff, delicious food, excellent service. I have been coming to this place for a while and always the food is fresh and good. For Friday night dinner is my favorite place to go. It is a must place to eat in Pompano Beach. Parking is a little tight on Sundays but there is always someone leaving hehehe. Please try the Matzo ball soup, it's very tasty. Well, today sep 15 2020 I was thinking about where to have lunch and thought about Lester's Diner; this place never disappoints. The food was great and Demetrius is a great waiter, very polite and always checking on my table to see what I need. The chicken BLT on a croissant with fries and apple sauce was delicious and filling. Rosa always makes you feel at home in this place.

Out of the four locations, this is our favorite; always great food, great service, and a pleasant, brightly lit atmosphere. This visit was particularly first-rate! I had the Greek style London Broil and my lady had the famous Greek combo. My sides were the spinach/ rice and the cucumber slaw, with the house salad. My better half had the green beans with tomatoes (we shared)... the flavors were savory, yet not overpowering, which says a lot, and the portion size was quite generous...combine that with Nicole's friendly and efficient service and you've got a top-notch dining experience! My photos, by the way, were taken after we'd already dug in...sorry about that, but you should still get the idea!

On vacation and found this great diner! Had a monte Cristo, chicken wrap, Ruben, French toast all delicious! Our server Kim was fabulous! Got a carrot cake and red velvet to go! Yum!

Busy place but seated quickly on a weekday morning around 9 am. Service was friendly, fast, efficient and attentive. Food was fresh, hot, tasty, with good portions. We had a breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage and a farmers breakfast. Coffee refilled regularly. They had some pies and other baked goods for takeaway.

I ate here for the 1st time and I boy was it good! The breakfast sausages was the best that I have ever eaten and our waitress was great. Definitely will be back.

SO GOOD WE CAME BACK! Ordered the stuffed shrimp. 😳 Incredible portions and delicious! Came with a cup of soup. 👉🏻Do yourself a favor and get the broccoli and cheese soup. WOW. Kids meals are a fantastic portion size and loved every bite! Decided to come back the next evening and got desserts to go. Strawberry Cheesecake... Divine. ♥️ Chocolate chip cookies for the kids... We had a wonderful time at Lester's. It was a nice diner with amazing prices and plenty of breakfast options. Connie (our server) was pleasant, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. She greeted us with a smile from the moment she sat us at our table. If there was one thing I would change, it would be the music. The volume was a bit loud and the music was too upbeat while having breakfast. Overall, service was prompt and the meals ordered were delicious!

The last of the American dinners always love it when there some Greek items on the menu.For me love breakfast lunch here .The service matches the good home style cooking .Big coffee cup love that you can even buy one when you leave .The pastries and baked good are off the carts like a kid in the candy store as you look at the display fridge .The Greeks and there pastries are always top notch.I love tge gyro sandwich there fries are very good .I have tried three locations and it's a great late night spot especially fort Lauderdale Margate closes early .Its a place where service comes with a smile feels like you gone back in time .

I’m from Rhode Island spending some time in Florida with my daughter. Erica said dad go to Lester‘s diner. So I did I was alone took a sheet at the bar had a BLT. My server’s name Zach and everything was wonderful. if you like diners like I do, this is a good one if you get a chance, stop by and have something to eat.👍

This place is fantastic! We accidentally found it and decided to try it out. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The cake we tried was so good, we decided to use it for a wedding we were having the next day. The manager sought out a full cake and made sure it was ready for us!

Write generally visit Lesters everytime we come to Fort Lauderdale. It is a main go to for quick meals in a nice atmosphere any time. I love their omelets and for lunch or late dinner I usually get the Philly cheesesteak. Service is great as well as their deserts. Carrot cake is fantastic!

The restaurant and food are nice. But the sauce they used on the lamb shoulder overpowered the taste of the meat. There is no meat taste. The sauce is too dominant. I don't think there is any need for the sauce. The same goes for the rice, the spices used are too heavy.

After hearing this place being mentioned 3 different times in one week by different people I decided to give it a try for Sunday breakfast. It did not disappoint. It is such a nice diner. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the food is good! Jazmine was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered Lester’s big deal it was good and plenty of food we will definitely be back!

This is an amazing local place. The food is delicious, expertly prepared and seasoned perfectly. Had an amazing Cobb salad in a fried tortilla bowl. My wife had the roast beef open sandwich which was absolutely amazing. Our friend had a BLT that was stacked so full of bacon and lettuce she couldn't get it in her mouth.

This would be my 2nd time coming here. The food was just as good the 1st time, and the service was pretty good as well. Come hungry because the portions can be MASSIVE, but if you can't handle it, just bring it home like me and a few others did. Would love to come again!

My reviews from previous years are below. I update my ratings based on my most recent visits. My dining partner enjoys the Avocado Salad with tuna salad which comes with a scoop of potato salad, lettuce, tomato and onions. I've been exploring vegetarian options lately and enjoy rice and steamed broccoli. The service in the morning and afternoon is good and the servers get to know your preferences when you come often. We haven't dibes in the evening so I cannot speak directly to that other than to say I would expect service at that time to also be good - - - - - - - - - - The tuna salad has breadcrumbs or a flour-based extender in it. This is a such a departure from my expectations for tuna salad that I cannot fathom how someone thought this an acceptable way to make a tuna salad sandwich or tuna salad platter. Traditional tuna salad is a gluten-free option. This is not a gluten-free option and nowhere on the menu does it warn diners of the addition. Frankly, it tastes like mush. What a disappointment. On a more positive note, the service is still very friendly, responsive and quick. An icon in Fort Lauderdale, this Lester's location is an outpost in the tradition of the original restaurant. Traditional diner fare mixed in with some Greek dishes. Unforgettable: the bakery items at the counter. Pies, cookies and creme-filled delights.

Good service. I enjoyed the skillet with eggs, hashbrowns and corned beef hash. The steak and eggs had a well done instead of medium steak, but they comped a dessert when we declined a new steak.

This is a nice default diner that has consistent and good food. Really a 4.5 .My husband and I had the lamb shank special. It wasn't overly seasoned and you could taste the variety of flavors. I also enjoyed the cucumber salad which has a nice bite as well as sweet. The clam chowder was thick but flavored well. We enjoyed our meals and we're stuffed but we omitted on the tasty looking desserts. Ms Rhonda was a great server and friendly

Nice dinner with typical dinner fare, multiple breakfast options, burgers, sandwiches, and homestyle dinner plates. Service was very speedy even though they were pretty busy. I had open faced today roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies of the day. Generous portion of beef and the total was 17.00 with drink. They also have a display case filled with great looking pie and cake. I need to save room for one next time! Will go again.

First time ever to Lester's Diner and it didn't disappoint. The Gyro Platter was excellent and seasoned perfect. My wife had the Philly Sandwich and said it was amongst the best she had along with the slaw. The meat lasagna was given a 7 out of 10 by my daughter. Only hiccup was service. Couldn't get a bill, but it was quite busy.

I had the best patty melt I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, plenty of cheese and grilled onions. Great fries! But my daughter who is gluten free, is limited to what she can order. She got a Western omelet with her choice of 2 sides. She can't have toast so she ordered potatoes and asked if she could have grits instead of the toast. Nope. That was $4.00 extra! They made money hand over fist on us because her omelet didn't include cheese, that too was extra. We didn't even ask what that would cost. The server never asked if we wanted refills on our tea. So....food was great but I was surprised they didn't charge for salt and pepper!

A must stop on Sundays on my way to the beach. IMO THE Best breakfast around. Pancakes are light and fluffy and the French Toast is special. Bacon is always crisp. This location has great service, everyone’s always friendly. Pay at the register and don’t forget to bring home a piece of pie or any of the fresh baked goodies… alway worth indulging.

A very nice, modern diner with a throwback feel. They serve breakfast open to close. The Gyro Fajita was the best thing we had. Pancakes were a little tough. The service was great; all of the waitresses were hustling. They turned the music on about halfway through our meal and the place became very loud.

I've been going to this place for a long time I must say the food is delicious. The service depends. If you sit at the bar you'll get right away service but at the table is complicated. Depends on the way to but definitely a good place to chill. A good environment

My recent visit to Lester's Diner in Pompano Beach, unfortunately, didn't live up to the nostalgic expectations of a classic American diner. I opted for the traditional turkey dinner, which was just okay. The turkey was tender but the gravy lacked much flavor. The mashed potatoes had an off sour taste, which was quite disappointing. The steamed broccoli was bland and flavorless, failing to add any real enjoyment to the meal. My partner had the baked moussaka, which consists of potato, eggplant, signature ground beef, and tomato sauce, topped with béchamel and served with rice. Unfortunately, he didn't love it. He found it to be kinda dry and lacking in flavor. The beets served on the side were fine but nothing special. The service was okay but kinda slow considering what we ordered. Overall, our experience at Lester's Diner fell short of our expectations. The service was friendly and the portions were generous, but the flavors and quality of the food left much to be desired. Despite this, we will definitely be back to try it again.

Took forever for food. Grilled cheese was not melted. Sent it back and was returned soggy like it was microwaved. It is Thanksgiving Day so probably short staffed and was crowded.

Clean restaurant. The hostess was completely silent. Not a hello. goodbye, or thanks for coming. She didn't appear to like customers. The rice was a bit off- slightly undercooked. The Moussaka, soup and salad were ok. Please ask your staff to speak to people. I won't return as of now.

The portions are big enough and the servers are authentically nice (which is not all that common tbh.) Still, the food is pricey for what the place is supposed to be. I give it a 6.5/10. I love burgers... A lot. As you can see the BBQ is nothing special and neither are the fries (onion rings were a much better option, imo). The Greek burger is smothered in garlic butter and feta. This definitely sounds strange, but if it's something you are into, I can assure you it's worth it giving a shot.

this place is decent. I've been here before and this time the chef must have been different. It looks like the food was a little over cooked from the toast to my omelette. It was still good but you can tell when things are just a little over cooked. The staff is really good helpful and the owner is well. The desserts look good in the case and I had a piece of chocolate cake which was really good. It's good.

3/4/2020- walked in ,got big greeting . Look to your right cake showcase. Looked yummy. We were seated in a booth. We both only had water and choose to have the Hot ( not so ) open Turkey . , with choose of two side . Lots to choose from we asked Katie if there was stuffing Yup, so we had the stuffing and mashed potatoes. It also came with cranberry sauce in a small plastic container. We were not so happy with the gravy on the turkey and the stuffing had a very heavy taste of sage or dill it wasn’t very good we were not happy with it . The turkey definitely was off the bird. Katie was very sweet. It was the first meal I wasn’t happy with here.

Lester’s Diner has a welcoming, old-school diner feel and an impressively large menu with something for everyone. Portions are generous and prices are fair, making it a comfortable spot for a casual meal. The food was generally good, with some items standing out more than others. A few dishes could have been hotter or more flavorful, but overall it was satisfying diner fare. The staff was friendly and working hard, even if service felt a bit slow at times. All in all, Lester’s is a dependable neighborhood diner. It may not be exceptional, but it’s a pleasant place to stop for comfort food, conversation, and a familiar atmosphere. With a little more consistency, it could easily be a favorite.

I ordered the French dip. It was not good, big pieces of (I’m guessing) roast beef on a cold sub bread.

We were looking forward to trying Lester's for the first time. We were not greeted or asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. They sat us in the terrace area, too hot and humid. Our order took around 30 minutes. After so long in waiting for our food, my toast was burnt and my steak was still red. I specifically asked for well done. I asked for new toast because it was too burnt to eat, which should've been noticed before bringing it to the table. Our waitress poured a refill of Pepsi into my watered down Pepsi cup from a different cup instead of bringing me a new cup with fresh ice and Pepsi. Very weird. No apologies and no discounts. Not happy with this experience.

Silver ware not clean. The salt on the table would not come out of the container. So I open it was wet inside with rusty on the cap and around the edge The salt had rice in it that was Brown in the rust as well. The waitress sit it to the side gave me a new one. It was the same. Sitting with friends. I observed her putting the salt container on another table I have been sick since the visit. I will not go back. Silverware . Had old food on it. Salt shaker. The salt would not come out. I open it to see Rust on the salt. The salt it self was moist with rust off in the salt. The server took it brought a new one to the table. Same issue was found. I observe her putting the same salt on the table she took the 2nd salt she hand to me. This was Sunday Dec 14. The next day. I have a stomach issue. Im throwing up. Nausa and Dirreah. Dec 16. I cant eat anything unless it irritates my guts. How do i know it was Lester diner. This was all i ate for the day .Please throw away your salt shakers and replace them with new one. The salt was put on my food. .

I was there on Saturday with my husband... and it was disappointing that the food was cold... it is a disappointment to go with high expectations and hunger and find that situation... I think that a waitress knows how to recognize when food comes cold and not serve it!! Ana is her name) I don't think we will return!

When I was charged $1.00 for a dolce of onion on my sandwich, I asked to see the manager. When a 20-something said she was the msnager and refused to remove the $1,00 charge, I said “you’re losing a customer over this” she Shrugged and said nothing. I hope she loses the job she neither deserved or has an understanding of. They lost me and probably others.

Really sad the cook doesn’t know the difference between whole wheat bread and rye. I ordered a basic turkey club on whole wheat and it came on rye. I don’t like rye bread and it’s just gross on this sandwich. The restaurant did absolutely nothing to fix this. Won’t be ordering again. It’s not rocket science.

I have been eating here over 8-9yrs now and at least 2 if not 3xs a week in the last year. Not sure if it's the shifting of the world but today was very odd and made me and 2 other people that look like me very uncomfortable. They were there when I walked in. A few employees were huddled and chatting off to the side and none of them bothered to look my way. So I wait for about 4mins, then a Caucasian guy walks up and a passing waitress immediately asked if he needed help checking out. Because I wasnt sure if the 2 people who look like me had been helped I asked the lady if anyone addressed them and she said no and how the man that look like us has been waiting before her. At this time the waitress, who does not look like US overheard me and THEN asked her what she was waiting for. I was puzzled at this time as the group that was chatting totally ignored ALL of US as if they already assisted them. So I asked for the Mngr just to realize she was part of that group chatting. SMH. I explained the situation and how uncomfortable we ALL felt. She pretty much disregarded my feelings and stated that they are waiting for the take out orders to come up. I said that's not even the point. The point is is that no one bothered to ask if we were picking up or dining in. So she starts to ask the other lady and guy if they were and I stopped her as she was being condescending at this point and let her know that it's not even necessary at this point as I felt it needed to be brought to her attention the experience we were having. I ordered 2 separate breakfast plates and they were all mixed up as if someone forgot what goes with what and it wasn't correct anyway. I tried to explain it to the young chic at the counter but she wasn't listening either so I choose not eat there, re write my review and never eat there again as they have been messing up my order for far too long antway and I only complained 2xs out of 7-8 in the past 2 months

We waited in the front and got called to sit at a table. The floor was dirty by I'm guessing because it was busy they didn't get to it yet. Our service was very nice and easy to talk to. I ordered shrimp and steak and eggs and both of them were nasty. The steak was plain as well as the eggs. I took my steak and eggs to go but really I wanted to throw it away. I personally would not come back.

Worse service. I ordered breakfast for pick up on Uber Eats. I realized that it was the wrong location. Literally seconds after I ordered they changed it to “ready for pick up” even though the order wasn’t even ready yet. Taking away the opportunity for me to cancel the order and change locations. Ended up driving 50 minutes to get my order. Will never order from the again!

Begged ..I begged for a Toasted bagel. The first 2 times ,raw and rubbery. Still raw. Ruined the breakfast AGAIN. Another review . UPDATE ...Chicken fried steak . DYING TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE . Jelly ,butter ...NO BISCUIT. Who the hell is doing quality control? NO ONE. This time I'm done. I never know what I'll get get. DON'T ORDER TAKE OUT. I appreciate the owners response ,thank you. I ordered ONE MORE time . Broward County with an English muffin. Raw English muffin .I must be a gluten for punishment. I keep trying because the food is attractive. But the reality is ,they don't know how yo toast anything. Here we go again

We have gone to this diner for years. Based on my experience on Friday we will not be going back. The kitchen sent me a very cold open roast beef sandwich. We had waited a long time to get it and I ate as much as I could of the very cold lunch. Then I tried to pay. Yes I was going to pay!! BUT the woman who was taking care of that was taking phone orders and running back & forth to the kitchen. The waitress serving us was fine but everything else failed. I do not need that. I won’t go back.

Ordered the biscuit and gravy today 2/25/26 It was inedible. The gravy was cold thick and had no flavor at all. Just tasted like flour. With specks of sausage. The biscuit was doughy and mushy. So disappointed.
